I must say this restaurant location is hit or miss and our last encounter which was a little less than a month ago was a Miss for me. We arrived late night so I wasn't expecting too much of a high expectation therefore I figured I ordered something simple I did the chicken breast with the sweet potato and green beans. The wait wasn't long at all I did start out with a cocktail and the cocktail was pretty good. I didn't partake in the famous rolls with the butter but my husband did and he loved them. My meal came out it looked a little iffy the presentation was off nevertheless I figured okay I'll go ahead and give them a pass cuz it's late but the chicken breasts were undercook like so disappointing. I did let the waitress know when she came back and asked if everything was Ok. I did opt out in getting something different cuz I already knew that it was going to be a bust nevertheless my husband he enjoyed his meal but then again later... Another great experience at Texas Roadhouse! Our server, Elijah, was the bee's knees super knowledgeable, checked in with us often, and had no issues helping us with to-go packaging. Found a roach melted into my cheese fries. Not a joke. Also found a plastic steak marker still stuck under my steak. Had to drive back to get a refund and that was basically all they did. We had dinner at Texas Roadhouse in Chesapeake square on Sunday evening. It wasn't as busy as it normally was but still had a crowd. It was clean but the womens bathroom was very small, crowded, and a bit slippery. We were sat immediately. Nya was our server. She was absolutely amazing with her hospitality. She was knowledgeable about the menu and recommended a few options. Our food and drinks came out quickly. My prime rib was a bit more on the rare side but that was fine with me. The sweet potato was to die for. As always the Cesar salad had a lot of dressing but I think that's just the way it is at every location. My Jamaican cowboy drink was delicious but one was enough for me. We paid with the tablet at the table which was convenient. All in all I'll be back :) read more

We honestly had a great experience. I don't understand why the stars are really low. Our waitress she was amazing, the food was all fresh and hot. For having peanuts be some thing that is given out in this restaurant, the floors were significantly clean, and the bathrooms were well kept. The bathroom having a changing table was a plus. As you can see in my pictures, some of the food had already been eaten because it was so good, I almost forgot to take pictures. Prices weren't too bad either. We luckily had 2 veterans vouchers, which were given out on Veterans Day, to use for a different day, which we liked, so we didn't have to be involved in all the chaos. The rolls with cinnamon butter were a classic staple and didn't disappoint. I ordered the NY strip with a side of green beans and sweet potato. The green bean came with onion and pork, if Southern style is what you're looking for they did a good job with it. The steak was perfectly cooked to my medium rare order, and was adequate given the price point. Another diner ordered a baked potato on the side. Customer beware, the baked potato comes with a heaping pile of salt around the skin! Probably for aesthetic appeal, but no way you can expect to eat the potato skin. Overall, the service was great and the staff regularly checked on us to ensure we were satisfied. I'm not really a door dash or Uber Eats kinda girl cuz there so many things I don't like reheated or not piping hot (like French fries) but today I didn't feel like eating out or cooking. So I decided to order a family take out meal from Texas Roadhouse. I was a little skeptical but I was majorly surprised! I didn't do steak because I would have to be pretty desperate to get takeout steak but mainly because you could only order it medium or well done and I'm DEFINITELY not into that. So I got the chicken critter family meal. It comes with 24 critters, two sides, a giant salad and 12 rolls and butter. Plenty of food for 4 people. I just put in the time I wanted pickup, texted when I got there and they brought it out to me me within a minute of my arrival. Everything was piping hot and the critters were crispy. They didn't forget a thing and all in all it was an easy, tasty dinner. It was $44 which breaks down to $11 a person and I don't even know if I could get it that cheap at McDonalds anymore. First time coming here. We've always avoided it because it's usually packed and loud. But today they weren't. Staff was very friendly and charismatic, and they all seemed to be having a good time. I picked out a custom 32oz with a Loaded Baked Potato and Caesar Salad. The steak and potato were absolutely killer! Perfectly cooked medium rare, juicy and tender. The potato was well balanced with the fixings and the skin had a rock salt crust on it, ooooh my God! Our server Jackie, was super sweet and took excellent care of us. They are all committed to ensuring that you have a great dining experience. The rolls are dangerous and the honey butter just adds to the addictive nature of this wonderful bread. They are served piping hot and they are delicious, did I mention that they are free? From a business perspective, that's probably a mistake but it sure keeps their loyal customers happy. A slight annoyance to disappointment is that Happy Hour now ends at 5pm. Most busy working people can't get there before 5pm to take part in the special Happy Hour pricing. read more

Never have I ever had such bad service at a restaurant to the point where I had to literally just get up and leave . First when we were sat, we got sat with no bread . We then waited 20-25 minutes no water and no server greeting us . Eventually we flagged down a staff member who explained to us we were sat at the wrong table . After about 5-10m a server came and took our order and said she'd put a rush on the food , there was no rush the food took about 20-25m. Once my food came my steak was completely rare like uncooked and I orders medium rare . The server even stated herself the steak was not what I ordered. She then took it back . Once they brought back the redone meal it was a totally different cut than what I ordered and the runner tried to tell me I did order this cut and that they actually gave me more ounces . I corrected her and said it was the wrong cut and also explained they didn't give me more ounces ... I order that ounce . The runner then asked me how many ounces I wanted at that point my party and I just left . Terrible service and no one seems to know what they're doing or care to know . Very disappointing. When I asked for them, two different servers said they would bring them over, but never did. Granted, neither of them were technically our server but she went MIA for most of the meal, so these other gals were the only ones in vicinity to ask. The restaurant is very dirty. The outside of the restaurant had trash laying on ground and in the bushes. The inside was not better. The vents in the waiting area were caked with dust and grease. Moving to the booth area, the wall on the side was covered with food residue, dirt, and general grime. This resaurant needs a very good cleaning. The service was average for this type of establishment. The food quality has gone down since our last visit, which was about 10 months ago. I wasn't sure what to expect, I was expecting something like Outback but it wasn't as nice? I guess? It was VERY loud and I could feel myself getting overwhelmed by the noise alone. The music playing overhead was way too loud and the servers were yelling out something along with the customers, I have no idea. But honestly it could've been a birthday thing I will say the onion thing was good. I liked how they fried it and it didn't feel too much, but I wish their sauce for it wasn't as sweet. : A Legendary Disappointment I ordered the 8 oz. New York strip cooked medium, smothered with sautéed mushrooms (no onions), and sides of steak fries and extra mushrooms. What I received was a culinary tragedy: the steak was so overcooked on the outside that I felt like I was chewing on splinters--and, as a bonus, the splinters doubled as toothpicks while I ate. The inside was only pink in a tiny center strip, nothing close to a proper medium. I only got six steak fries total, all hiding under my steak, soaking up bloody steak juice until they were limp and flaccid--a tragic sight for a supposed steakhouse side. The "side" of sautéed mushrooms was barely a third of a cup and tough, as if they were sautéed over indirect fire, burnt on the outside, and then drowned in a jar of granulated garlic to hide the taste. The onions were grossly mushy, like they were prepped at dawn and tossed into a crockpot of grease with zero seasoning, waiting all day to die on someone's plate. To top it off, they ignored my request to remove the onions from my smothered topping altogether. Texas Roadhouse talks about being "legendary," but this meal was legendary only for how badly it missed the mark. I've had better steaks at a gas station diner. Love this location!! Packed house, not sure if it's consistently packed but still a great restaurant for an amazing steak. It's not a Butcher's Son type steakhouse, but a steakhouse worth visiting, especially for their buns. I had a 16oz steak cooked Med rare. If you eat yours well, you're missing out. Parking can also be jammed, but the shopping lot for Kohl's right across the way usually has plenty of open spaces. The cheesecake I ordered was too small., the broccoli and the ribs was overcooked, and I didn't receive the extra side of bbq sauce. I attempted to call several times no one picked up and answering. My son and I stopped by there Tuesday for dinner. My son asked for accommodations in how we were to be sat. He ask for the Hostess to call him by name. He explained that he a few problems that using the phone was difficult. She seemed to accommodate, but in the end was not. She refused to sit us. When called out on it. The other hostess got snarky, the original hostess refused to look at us or speak with us. We choose to say forget it. We being white and the hostesses were not, thought it was fitting to call us racists. Nowhere in this interaction was race mentioned except by the hostesses. I was having dinner at Texas Roadhouse in Greenbriar on Sam's Circle recently with friends and family. One of my family members hurt her leg recently and had a walker she was resting her leg (in a short cast) on. First the hostess refused to seat us because one person out of 4 was running late. So we stood there for a couple of minutes until I finally said there were three rather than 4 and then she seated us ALL OF THE WAY IN THE BACK OF THE RESTAURANT. Needless to say my family member had a heck of a time getting down the aisle to be seated but didn't want to make a fuss. We then had a pleasant dinner and afterward went to leave. I ran back into the store to use the restroom and was behind an elderly woman with a walker struggling to get back TO THE SAME SEAT IN BACK WE JUST VACATED. Now mind you they weren't especially busy and all could have been sat at a much closer table so that those with limitations didn't have to go all of the way to the back of the store but the hostess seemed oblivious. I found the young man that waited our table and asked him to give the manager a message. I wasn't trying to get the young lady in trouble just asked that she be told to be a little more accommodating to those with physical limitations. I tried to look at it more as a lack of training than as a lack of empathy but that was a little difficult to justify. read more
