Okay, so the waitress was nice, food was great. My issue was when it was time to leave. We ate on a late Sunday afternoon, and failed to realize that the mall closes at like, 5pm. Ok, that's on us. Problem is, since half the mall is being torn down, you just can't walk around the mall outside to get to your car, its all fenced off. I had my sister and my elderly mother who can barely walk with us. I was parked just next to the food court. I asked the hostess if I could just walk across the food court to get to my car so I could drive around the mall rubble to pick up my mom. She asks her manager, and when she came back she said that "they were not allowed to, that they would get in trouble". The bartender barked back the same statement. I was panicking at this point, it would take me an hour to get to my car. They could have at least called up mall security to escort me to my car from the food court. They left me stranded. It was redic. Thankfully a good samatarian in the parking lot gave me a ride to my car so I could pick up my mom and sister. read more

This was our first time trying this location for Twisted crab. It was Memorial Day and wasn't as busy as I thought it would be. I called earlier that day to make a reservation but when I got there, there was no reservation listed so I don't understand why someone would take the time to get my information. Our waiter wouldn't check on us that much. We would have to wait for a while until someone checked on us. There were 6 of us and we all ordered T1. We made it for happy hour and we ordered a couple of drinks but took forever to come to our table. The boil bag was okay but the bag was so tiny. The location is very big and there's lot of seating but I won't be back to this location. The Norfolk location is smaller but their service is way better. Our waiter gave the table in front of us black bags but when we asked for it. She said not to tell on her but doesn't make sense when other tables had black bags. There was 6 of us and they didn't want to give us crab crackers but when she did. She gave us 2 which didn't make sense. We needed the blue stick so we can open our crab legs. We all packed our bags to eat the rest at home. Wasn't a great experience. read more

We went on a weekday afternoon and we were seated right away. The service was very quick and polite. My friend and I got watermelon and mango margaritas. The drinks were delicious and tasty. For my food I got crab legs, black mussels, and crawfish with mild spice and twisted sauce. The sauce was flavorful but not spicy at all. My friend got the medium spice and she said her food wasn't spicy either. My bag came out with shrimp instead of crab legs. When I brought that to the waiter's attention, he apologized and said the kitchen messed up. He brought the crab legs separately. However, the crab legs were overcooked and the meat stuck to the shell. This was the case for both me and my friend. Considering how we were both craving crab legs, we were pretty disappointed read more

Came during happy hour for half off wings and pick 2 1/2 lb for $14. We were seated within minutes of walking in. Our waitress was attentive. There was a good playlist on. We left before the DJ arrived. The bags were good and well seasoned. My sister's bag had larger potatoes than normal, and it was a little undercooked. Also the first set of sweet potato fries were too crunchy for my son. They fixed another batch and fixed the problem within minutes. read more

Food is an awesome flavor fest! Very welcoming environment. Cyan is a wonderful service person if you'd enjoy a light hearted meal. Long Island Ice Tea was strong! On that note, it did the job! The food here actually kept my attention the whole time. Very wonderful place for those who enjoy a great seafood boil! read more

This place is huge. I didn't realize how large it is. I met a friend here for an early dinner and even though they were pretty busy we didn't have to wait. I ordered 1/2lb snow crab legs with shrimp and sausage and corn in their house sauce with medium spice. It was delicious! My friend ordered a similar meal and loved it. We had so much we had to bring some home. Great service. read more

The seafood ($100 "deal") came out cold (barely warm, if I'm being generous), already cooked, on a tray -- it usually comes in a bag. Mussels were shriveled. When we complained, it seems to me they took it back, threw it in a bag, and microwaved it. Thanks. Unbelievable. I'm tired of restaurants overmaking food - people don't all eat at the same time, so there's no sense in cooking it all at the same time. Some worker might think that will make it easier to get it over somehow regardless of how hot or fresh it is. read more

Ok, food quality was really just ok. The seafood tasted nothing like fresh...at all. Really good service waitress was smiling and very attentive. The ambiance was loud. For a minute it reminds me of the club. I probably will not return to this location read more

Cash was a very great waitress (hopefully im spelling her name right lols) very polite and respectful. She was responsible for our orders and handle us well. I recommend her 10/10 if you go to the Twisted Crab at Greenbrier Mall. read more

The food isn't terrible, but obviously not fresh which I didn't really expect. The service, however, needs a major overhaul. I've been here twice and both times have had subpar service. Servers are nice enough and it's likely not completely their fault. It takes 10 minutes to get greeted by a server. The hostess are less than friendly, leaning over the stand, zero smiles, barely speak. It took another 15 minutes to receive my drink. Our food arrived before the drink. Strange. Happened both times. I would come back if they worked on their service. read more

The service was great. And the food came out within 10 minutes. The seafood was cooked to perfection and the Twisted Crab sauce was delicious! read more

This review is based off of service and not off of food as we never even got our drinks. We were greeted right away and sat and promptly asked what we wanted to drink and told about specials. Then we sat for 16 minutes without seeing anyone. It appears as though they were severely understaffed so this is more of a management issue than the servers themselves. read more

Special promotion at Twisted Crab going on! Buy a Combo Bag and get a Catfish or Shrimp fry basket for 1.99$ ! Great deal! I don't normally do the fry baskets - too much grease for me but I decided to try it today. Can't say I would buy it alone- there was no flavor on the catfish but I couldn't stop eating the fries! Crispy, hot and delish! The snow crab was buttery, large size and as usual never a miss with the Hot Twisted sauce ! Perfect place for a Mother's Day lunch! read more

We were seated immediately. Took about 10 minutes for our server to come along and get drink orders. Another 10 minutes for drinks to show up. 15 minutes for server to return and take our order. 5 minutes for appetizer to come out, then...... 40 minutes later we were told our food was "being bagged up and would be right out. 15 minutes later no food, but were told it was being bagged and would be right out, server did apologize and state that the kitchen was backed up. 10 minutes later we were told the manager would be bringing out food, and giving us a 15% discount, and that the reason our food was delayed was our sides of broccoli. Gave the manager 5 minutes to show, and when no food or manager arrived, we left some cash on the table to cover drinks/app and walked out. Saw other tables, which arrived after us, get their food. read more

Before I begin this review let me start off by saying that this review is based solely on my opinion and my opinion alone so with that being said let's go!.. We have searched two other restaurants looking for a place to host a party of 15 people and this was the only restaurant that was able to compliment us with no wait time at all. The food was hot and fresh and the waitress was kind and polite the minute she asked for our orders. The reason I'm taking away a star is because the service was kind of slow but I truly understand because most restaurants still are short staffed! But our waitress did the best she could and we appreciate her tremendously! Wait before I forget they make drinks with high potency so if you're a light weight drinker stay away from the alcoholic beverages please! I will be returning again sometime soon. read more

I got the t1 special and I didn't even know it was $19.99 on Sunday so of course I had no choice but to get some wings on the side. I got the cajun breaded wings and you know how they say red bull gives you wings nahhh twisted crab gives you wings. One bite of them I swear you'll fly off into heaven. Dined in with a party of seven. Our servers arrived promptly and were very friendly. Everyone enjoyed their food. I especially enjoyed my Twisted Combo #4 with shrimp, clams, mussels, potatoes, and corn swimming in deliciously garlicky Twisted Sauce. The only thing the meal lacked was some bread or rolls to sop up that sauce. I also wish they had some additional vegetables like cole slaw or pickled beets as optional side items. Don't come here to eat in your good clothes; you'll be dripping sauce all over them! You probably won't need to use the forks to eat with, either. read more

Excellent boiled bag, shrimp were excellent, as well as the potato and corn on the cob. I heard no music at all while here. I sat at the bar and the service was good. Mussels were also great. The address according to Google did not lead me completely to the restaurant. After calling the restaurant to ask for directions, I located the restaurant. Upon arriving, the staff were dancing and using profanity as if I were not a customer waiting to receive my order. I wanted to walk out m, but I paid for my order. I will not return to this location. The 1 pound shrimp with no head meal was not as delicious as I expected it to be. I'll stick with the Hampton location. read more

Enjoyed my lunch today. I got onion rings for an appetizer and they were hot, crispy, and delicious! The crab cakes were more like deviled crabs to me, but I enjoyed them with some Twisted Sauce! Food was ready. Cashier was polite and attentive&engaging. Nice atmosphere. Clean. Music at a good level.

My friend and I decided to check out the new Twisted Crab at Chesapeake square. The space is clean but felt more like a restaurant just opened instead of several weeks. I don't know if this is how the other TC restaurants are like but it felt more like a bar instead of a restaurant. Except you couldn't order a beer because no ABC license yet. Ordered 8 piece fried shrimp basket with onion rings. Food was cooked well but could have used a bit of seasoning. Waitress was friendly but seems to be new at this line of work. Maybe with covid mess they are trying to get everything in but I felt like I was in a 90's rap video instead of a seafood restaurant. read more

The crab legs haven't really been a decent size, they like to leave the barnacles on so that's disgusting and sometimes the crab legs don't taste fresh. I will say the catfish is amazing it tastes like chicken tenders read more

Hmm this is interesting. I just left T.Crab 2 mins ago and I didn't enjoy it. This isn't the first time I've been here but this time the customer service sucked. I went to the mall to shop a little after having a long day at work. I decided to go to twisted crab to grab a drink but also get a bite to eat. I waited at the bar and a guy asked me if I was ordering which I replied yes and he pointed me to a register to order and dashed off around the bar fast before I could ask for a drink. So I get up and order but confused because I wanted a drink too hence why I was at the bar to begin with. I waited back at the bar so I can order a drink. The whole time I was there waiting at the bar for my to-go food NO ONE at the bar approached me to asked if I needed anything. By this time I was upset and ready to cancel my order and leave. I was planning to leave a $20-30 tip just for that 1 drink but because they didn't approach me to ask I decided not to bother. Don't plan to go back to this TC. read more

All though the food was good my friend and i just wanted to pop in and get a boil not knowing they had a sale going on, we wait 15 minutes to be seated and after that it took over a hour to be seen by a waiter/waitress & another 20 minutes to actually get the drinks, then we waited for over a hour & 30 minutes waiting for the food we ended up having to take it to go we sat there for so long & tried to be patient 11-3 is when they have the sale going on so if you like eating here & don't want to wait go after 5 or else you'll end up like us lol , but the food was good shrimp were soft as idk what read more

Excellent food at an affordable price. Our waitress Kati was courteous and professional.

If I wanted a bar I would go to a Bar! Music entirely to loud. Not kind of music to eat to. In fact music choice awful but make no mistake I could deal with that. However to turn it up to where my wife could hear it two door down in the mall is ridiculous. Second time this has occurred. First time we asked them to turn it down as it was the bar tender who controls the music and volume. She acted irritated and became clear it was all about her not the quest. Great food but terrible atmosphere: We won't go there a third time. We will continue driving further to the Norfolk Monticello Twisted Crab. CA Fellers 757-403-9264 read more
