Wifey and I purchased Govee Permanent Outdoor Lights Pro and found John E B Good Handyman had…read moreseveral good reviews on Yelp. He responded quickly and communicated well. He gave me an up-front estimate, which seemed fair. He asked for a 50% deposit, which (based on past reviews) also seemed fair. The first workday, he arrived then left because of weather: it was a bit misty but not actively raining. Each day, he arrived at around 11 am. I told him up front that our HOA is very strict and that the lights must be professionally installed. Halfway through, there were cords dangling making it appear unsightly. I told him again that we want all cords hidden. At the end of it all, there were still cords dangling in several places, easily visible a casual observer. Additionally, while Govee recommends their lights be 2 to 4 inches from the wall, he installed them at least 10 inches from the wall, making for a muted and dimmed light show. In the end, we were very disappointed and had to hire a second contractor to uninstall his work and then reinstall the lights correctly. If you need Govee Permanent Outdoor Lights installed, look elsewhere. I cannot speak to any other work he John does.

This added significantly to their time. I had a good time visiting with them, and we laughed about our goofy dogs. They cleaned up their mess and were respectful of my property while here. I do not hesitate to recommend John. I have two happy little dogs who have already figured out how to use the door!

What can I even begin to say about Phil. I'll start with he is a very warm person with a great…read moreheart. Being a single woman owner of a older home with a lot of needs, I was fortunate to come across Phil. After having my home leveled I needed my back door (to the backyard) re-aligned/re-framed and decided to install a storm door. I turned to Yelp and saw Phil as the reigning expert on door repairs. I called him to try to set something up and of course he was booked but being already in my neighborhood he said he'd stop by to at least check it out. Phil came by within 15 minutes and assessed the door. He knew exactly what to do so it was easy (in theory bc Bubba aka my house has nothing easy about him) and probably after feeling so bad for me he decided to squeeze my job in. **I will say with Phil you need to be patient because he's a person with a life and has other things going on so be open to waiting a bit. If you aren't patient and want a hurry and rush job don't contact Phil- he's not for you and he doesn't deserve to be treated badly.** Ok so, Phil finally scheduled me and secured an assistant (this was a 2 person job). They took a few days to do the framing and install of my storm door. He encountered some extra work that needed to be done because it wasn't done correctly before. I appreciate that he did the job that needed to be done and did not skimp me. As a single woman I felt safe and confide t with Phil. I'm happy with the job and am so excited to be able to use my back door again and to have a storm door. I have 2 cats that love the door which has a pet door for them to come in and out as they please.

I have had them come out for several home repairs I had been putting off. I appreciate their rapid…read moreresponse times and excellent work quality.

Update 11.16.2022 - I want to reiterate we loved their work but again their communication is just…read morenot great. Here is an example of it; after I wrote my review here is how (text messages) he approached me. Attacking a customers character is never good First off I have to say the work and speed that their crew delivered was great. We love everything that they did for us. We had a number of requests for them to: 1. Build a deck near our pool with cover 2. Replace our fencing to hide the pool equipment 3. New fence towards the back of our property In the photos you can see how great it turned out. Now where they lost their stars is in communication and dealing with conflicts. 1st issue - We had a dumpster provided that they subcontracted and had a number of issues. James gave my husband the phone number to contact dumpster company and "deal with the issue". As a customer all issues pertaining to a subcontractor that THEY hired should have been handled by them and not us. 2nd issue - some of the fence posts they installed warped and we asked for them to come repair. We had to text and call about 10 times! We were given dates that someone would show up and then no one showed up and no communication about 5 times. Continuous calling and text had to occur with the same result. Then random out of the blue one day someone showed up to fix the fence and once again no communication to inform us they were coming nor after to check how the repair went. This process was extremely frustrating and clear that dealing with conflicts isn't their forte.
