Honestly the work is good...as it should be from a master plumber…read more The issue I have is the issue I've had with literally every plumber ever. They've got you over a barrel when they come out and start throwing parts. This was an install of a drop in kitchen sink and faucet. He told me his hourly rate was 135 bucks. I was expecting to spend about 400 maybe 500. The final bill was 850. I feel I was overcharged on both the parts and labor. He charged me starting 45 min before he got there but still included a "truck charge." The removal and replace of the sink took 2 hours. To me the "clock" starts on the labor at the agreed upon arrival time. When I'm getting charged 439(!) bucks for parts on top of the sink and faucet itself, that extra charge for labor is quite unwelcome. I mean the sink and faucet itself that were "nice" were like 500 bucks. So almost that again just in parts. ‍ His answer in general as I look at these reviews is that he buys his parts from a plumber supply not Home Depot etc. I would have to research each individual part to see if its price point is "fair". A perusal of solid brass fittings and pvc p traps on the Lowe's site shows the price I paid was about doubled. He acted quite insulted that I wouldn't know just how much better his parts were and implied they were all but unavailable at big box stores. literally doubling what I expected to pay was quite a shock to say the least. It is what it is. If I was able to do it myself, I would've. Live and learn Learn a trade kids lol

We have a well as our water source and a septic system for waste. Some of the plumbing installed…read moreover three decades ago is unorthodox but it works well, usually. We had a drain that began to slow coming from our kitchen sink and we called a number of plumbers. Frank Haston was the one who was able to come out quickly and so we used him. He answered his phone immediately and updated us as he fit us into his schedule. He arrived exactly when he estimated he would. He quickly diagnosed the problem and said he could get the water flowing but he could not fix it correctly. After he got the water flowing again, he said we require hydrojetting which requires special equipment and special training. He recommended a few companies that do this and told us the key is the training more than the equipment. With older homes this process can damage your plumbing. He then gave us a lesson on preventative maintenance for our system that will keep the plumber away. He charged us so little, that we wrote a check for more than his bill. Funny, since our first question when we started looking for a plumber was twofold. What is it going to cost to fix this and how much will he charge? You'd think this would be one number, but sadly we have all had the experience to know that these numbers can be quite different. We have 100% confidence in Frank, his integrity and his skills that come from training and years of experience. If you need a plumber in his area (Kyle, Texas) call Frank at Trio and relax. You will be in good hands.

My home warranty sent my work order to Big Jon on a Wednesday. Thursday morning I got a call from…read moreJon to schedule the service for that coming Saturday between 8:30 a.m. - 9:00 a.m. This was good because Saturdays are the only day in the week... every week, that we can ever do a service call. On Saturday I cleared my morning schedule for the service. At 9:00 a.m. there was no sign of Jon. I called him and asked if he was on his way. I felt like he didn't even remember me, I had to remind him of my address. He said he was at an emergency call and would be over in the next 1 to 2 hours. Well, two hours later I called him and got his voicemail. My husband called... got his voicemail. I called the home warranty company and they... got his voicemail. Ten hours later, I sit here with the issue still not addressed, no service call, no call ever from Jon with no explaination... nothing. Pretty upsetting considering I wasted my entire day, the one day of the week I am able to spend on errands, etc. to sit at home and stare out the window waiting for this guy to show up.

I think they said they were based in Kyle, but service the Austin area also.
