However if you are coming for pipes I don't think you'll find anywhere better. The selection of pipes is amazing and their house blends of pipe tobacco is plentiful. Multiple brands, styles, and materials of pipes and pipe accessories. The staff is very helpful, I've mostly been taken care of by Tanner and James, both of which are very friendly. Not only that but very outgoing and willing to not only help me purchase my first pipe, but also teach me how to smoke, clean, what the different tobaccos are, what affects the price, and the sorta basic pipe 101 course. I wish I could say I won't go anywhere else for my pipes and cigars but unfortunately with school I have to go elsewhere. Would I recommend a drink tasting class at Total Wines? Yes…read more Would I recommend a certain local? Absolutely!! 2617 W Holcombe Blvd Houston, TX 77025 Would I recommend an instructor? Most definitely!! Mr. Illick (I hope my spelling is correct) I absolutely love love love going to the Total Wine tasting classes! They're packed with history, food pairings, cocktail making ideas, and so much information. I've discovered new brands, learned things I never knew, and even met some great people. One of the best parts is getting to sample everything from budget friendly bottles to high end selections without breaking the bank. I first stumbled across these classes while shopping at Total Wines for a sweet wine. I had no idea they offered them, and I was pleasantly surprised by how affordable they were. Since then, I've attended eight classes, and I've genuinely enjoyed every one. My favorite has been the Champagne class, and my favorite instructor is Illick he always does an amazing job making the classes both educational and fun. These classes are perfect for date nights, solo outings, girls' nights, coworker outings, or even a fun get together with friends and family. Every class includes a spread of sandwiches, fruit, crackers, cheese, cookies, and bottled water. They have from $20-$40 or free (depending on the class), you get all of those snacks plus 7-8 tastings. For me that's a great value! As an added bonus, they also give you 10% off your purchase after the class. So if you're looking for something fun, different, and budget-friendly to do, I highly recommend downloading the Total Wine app and checking out their tasting classes. You might just find your new favorite wine and a new favorite hobby!

Love this place! Really nice and informative staff, good selection and prices, my only complaint is that it is 30 or so minutes from my house. Oh, and sometimes they are out of the big box of Coconaras which is a minor inconvenience. We had never owned a hookah before and when we were looking to invest in one, the salesperson took into account our budget and got us the best value within that. We love it and come back here every couple of weeks or so to restock. read more
