The list included the removal of the box o'florescents, the addition of can lights, repair of a hanging light fixture, and the installation of below cabinet lighting. We got a first bid from a very popular Yelp electrician and then one for RX. Rx came in at $1400 cheaper... I was pretty shocked at the price differential, so I asked them to make sure everything was included and they promised no shocks at the end. We were torn, since there was no review for them and the other electrician had many. But, hey $1400 bucks is $1400 flipping bucks or 5 meals at Barley Swine... LOL They arrived right on time and went right to work. Tim was very helpful, knowledgeable and quite a cheerful fellow. He arrived with John, John, Paul and Alan showed up in the last day, today. All of these guys were polite, respectful of our possessions, gave us clear direction on what they were doing. The job took three days and everyday, they were prompt and always in a good mood. The main electrician dude, John, made a suggestion to put in a puck light in an alcove we have and we thought that was a great idea. We changed our mind and asked them to move a can light in the living room, which they did on the fly for us. At the end of each day, they cleaned up their mess and merrily went on their way. We decided to have another wall painted and the back door fixed since it needed some repair, they provided us a quote and we went with it right on the spot. They finished today and we are thoroughly impressed with all the work they accomplished, their attitude and professionalism. We are getting a bid for the installation of wooden floor in living and dining room. I fully expect to see them back here in a week or so to accomplish that. We did have a shock at the end, since they refunded us $102.66 on the bill for parts which they didn't need when they did all the re-wiring, switches and stuff. Pretty dang cool.....

My son had recently had some remodeling done and had high praise for the company he used. I knew the work was professional and quality, so I gave Jose Santos at J & M Remodeling LLC., a call. He came out and met with my wife and I and we hit it off immediately. I have done business with quite a number of contractors in my 70 years and I was impressed with his demeanor, his friendliness and his knowledge about what we wanted done and his welcome advice along the way. Jose gave us a fair bid (far less than the TV guys), took precise measurements and drew up a plan that we all agreed to. He finished the work a week ahead of schedule and the end result was more than I expected. He was involved daily and his crew were perfectionists. The Bath was completely gutted to the studs and reconstructed, the Kitchen was a complete renovation, but we maintained the basic layout. We replaced countertops, backsplash, all appliances; added a wine refrigerator, a professional type range and a warming draw at the bottom of the oven/microwave wall unit. We had to reconfigure a number of the cabinets to accommodate the additional appliances. We also replaced all cabinet doors and draw fronts, in addition to refinishing the base cabinets and reconfiguring some cabinets into drawers. In addition to being extremely professional in the quality of the construction, Scott was also very helpful in guiding us through the selection of materials. I had a pretty good idea of what I wanted and he help suggest certain materials and finishes that would achieve my goals. Everything he suggested was spot on. I couldn't be happier.
