Good burgers and fries. Typical burger joint. They are pretty fast and the service is good. Their milk shakes are delicious, made with Bluebell ice cream, and fairly priced. Only bad experience I have had is I waited 30 minutes for just a bacon cheese burger one time, got home, opened the bag, and the burger had no bacon or cheese on it. I would avoid this place if possible. The high school kid working behind the counter had the worst attitude. I stood at the front waiting and he walked by several times. The lady behind the food counter said "hey, help her!" And he said "she's not going to ****ing starve" and kept messing with other things. Strike one. I place my order with another employee who decided to come help since he refused. The manager never says anything. This kid continues to have an attitude the whole time and was so snappy to everyone who came in. I maintained being polite because maybe he was just having a bad day. He proceeds to then throw the number on the counter in front of me for the table for other orders when I was still ordering, instead of just stacking it back. After I got my order, I got the number, went to go grab napkins and whatnot and had placed my number on a table. This kid then starts to slap the counter when the food is ready and snaps his fingers at me. Not being a dog, I didn't respond. Finally he walks around and literally drops the food on the table so it smacks down. He smarts off at me "not paying attention" then goes back to the counter and throws the number that I had for my order. WHO HURT HIM!?! I have no clue what his deal was. And I guess he was related to the older women behind the counter because they saw everything and just let him slide. This was the second time I went!!! The first time was equally poor service. Dare I say it, but I like Texas Burger better than Whataburger. Depending where you are it might be a little farther than Whataburger but it's worth the drive. I love their burgers. It reminded me of burgers I ate at a cafe I went to after school with my best friend. It was the time of juke Box, happy times and small scoops of ice cream cones. It tasted like comfort burgers. The fries were tasty but not very crunchy. The young lady at the drive through window was super friendly. For starters they were out of corn dogs, so I ordered a grilled cheese sandwich to go. It came burnt to a crisp on both sides and the cheese inside was shredded not sliced american cheese! Was already home when I saw this so I had to drive all the way back and they gave me a refund for the meal. When asked about the cheese they said they were out of that too. I've experienced the WORST customer service here. A mistake made by the employee led me to ask for a refund. Me working in customer service for over ten years I've made my fair share of mistakes and know it happens. I asked in a very understanding way to either take another cup that I was charged for or to get refunded. She laughed in my face and questioned if I really wanted/needed my two dollars back. I said yes I did want my two dollars back as it was her mistake and I wasn't taking the product that she wrongly charged me for. She slammed the drawer shut, said "let me do this the right way" and went and got her manager. The manager handled this in a very professional way and also apologized. I also know people have bad days and that could have been one for her but as visiting again, this certain employee is rude every time from start to finish. Glaring at me as a customer of her workplace. It's almost like she just can't be nice to people. Otherwise, good food, quick service and always very fresh tasting bread at subway. read more

My husband and I stopped here on our way home from shopping for RV's in Wharton. We were heading to Subway but the hamburgers smelled too good. I'm glad we decided on Texas Burger vs Subway. He had the bacon cheeseburger and I had the mushroom hamburger, which came with a drink plus seasoned French fries. It was a delicious experience and the fries were fresh and hot. This is a review for Texas burger and subway. Texas burger: I've inly had chicken tender basket. Would it be awful to include one more chicken tender? And maybe more fries? I pay almost $10 but the amount of food I receive is ridiculously small. More fries. And a little bit faster service. Upgrade that credit care machine. I frequent subway a lot more. But my god, it is sooooooo slow. Doesn't matter what you get. Sometimes, I'll spend my whole lunch hour standing in line waiting to be served. Faster employees, faster service, faster credit card machine. It's just really irritating when you're in line for over 30 minutes to get a sandwich. Sometimes the cucumbers and tomatoes look wilted, so I would recommend being cautious about getting those on your sandwich. read more

Nice place to stop on our way to Schulenburg.. Mozzarella sticks are good but nothing special. Marinara sauce didn't taste like marinara sauce.. But i ate it. I got the #2 Cheeseburger meal.. Nearly every time I go here it's ruined by the teenage staff that doesn't want to do a good job. The food is OK if you get lucky but can be horrible if the wrong kid is at the helm in back. I've tried the subway part and the kid behind the counter was too busy chatting it up with co-workers to do it right. Even the owner doesn't care. I ordered the corn dogs and received them frozen, took them back and told them to try again, received more frozen corn dogs in return and when I spoke to the owner she gave some made up excuse for why they couldn't cook it right and gave me a refund, no apology. No hello or anything and after seeing someone else's order taken before us really ticked me off. The teenage staff couldn't give a crap about any one. If you want to be neglected and treated like complete crap then I say visit this location. We could tell that our teenage cashier hated her job. I didn't catch any sort of smile whatsoever. Also the seating area for both Texas burger and Subway were FILTHY!!
