Unlike others who post here, my experience was good. I live outside the state of Texas and I was looking for a Jeep Grand Cherokee Diesel which quite rare. I found it at Texas Best Pre-owned. I flew to DFW, picked up the vehicle and drove it back to Atlanta Georgia. It was a great smooth transaction and the service was courteous and professional. The vehicle was exactly as advertised and despite the high milage, it looked and drove like new. Rick & Jamie did a great job. read more

I bought a vehicle from this place in April of 2025 a week in, the spark plugs had to be replaced. They refused to fix it. Since that time every other month this truck was in the shop for something. I bought it for $21k and poured probably $10k into it in the last year and a half. I just got a new truck today and they told me that I was the fourth owner of the truck, the carfax they gave me was either for a different vehicle or they knowingly gave me the incorrect one because I thought it was a 1 owner vehicle. DO NOT buy from this place all of their vehicles are bought at auction and they sell them as if they are a big dealership. I'm all about supporting local but these people are wolves in sheep's clothing. read more

The worst car dealership I've ever purchased from. They will lie straight to your face they have zero knowledge of automobiles and do not care how unsafe they are. Noah the manager thought it was funny that he put my children and I in harms way. read more

I bought a truck from them a year ago and it hasn't went a month without being in the shop. I would be very cautious when buying a vehicle from them. Very sketchy. I have lost A LOT of money because I bought from this stupid place. Wish there was a 0 stars option for sure. read more

Paid cash on June 6 for 2017 Chevy suburban. Beautiful car fell in love with it thought it would be safe to cart my grandchildren around in. I drove my suburban on, Sunday,Tuesday and on Wednesday it completely shut off on my street. Coming home from work.( I thank God my grandkids were not in my car and this happened on the highway ) After several phone calls, Jamie Wilson, the owner, finally got back to us. Talking about a resolution, that my husband suggested, Jamie Wilson simply laughed at us and said, " I'm not up here just writing checks. We're not sidekicks." Speaks a lot about this man's character as a business man and a human being . We are now stuck after paying almost $17,000 in cash for this car. I'm going to have to now get it towed and pay for everything.. I will say that, Noah, the owner' s Son, was very decent, unlike his dad. After trying to reach the owner and getting the runaround by Jack, we called again and his son said that his dad was in fact there and in the back and would transfer the call. But we got Jack and he knew the owner was there. Next time you have a customer that just paid a lot of money for one of your vehicles, I suggest you not laugh at that person and say that you're not sidekicks, whatever that means and that you're not just up there writing checks. I think it's just the fact that this man actually laughed at us when we were pretty down about this beautiful truck just stopping dead in the road. What might've been the resolution, was laughable to this man. Thanks, Jamie, Wilson, and Texas Best. I know we're not the only ones that had the exact same situation. I see a lot of five star reviews on their website. Pretty sure that a lot of his friends have bought from him and actually put in decent cars and/or, reluctant to leave any kind of bad reviews. ( OK, this is what he means by sidekicks! ) I'm sure Jamie took care of them rather quickly. Do better . I would like to add something to this review. We have always paid cash for our cars and have NEVER ran into a situation, or been talk to by the owner like this. I'm just disgusted and so sick to my stomach. No Jamie Wilson, we are not sidekicks /friends, we are hard-working honest people who got completely screwed by you! read more

Everybody is extremely nice here. Wesley is very very nice. Not only did they help me with my car. But when I came today to get my license plates, they installed them for me, and they didn't have to go above and beyond to help me, but they did! Very very nice people and I highly recommend this place. read more

I had a great experience with Zach at Texas Best Pre-Owned! I read all of the other reviews which most were not good. So I was a little skeptical. I waited awhile to write this review to give the car a few months with us but still so far so good. I bought the car as a first one for my son so it was for the ultimate precious cargo! In my opinion, Zach is the best thing happening at Texas Best! He was fair, communicated well, and got the deal done fast. He is the only one I would trust to work with there again! Thanks Zach and if you're still there, we will be back to get a car for my other son in a year or so! read more

This company fraudulently misrepresented a vehicle in order to trick me into buying it. It died 5 miles off their lot. Upon close inspection not a single iota of the work they claimed was done was actually performed, and in fact they had done work they didn't mention at all so poorly that the competent mechanic I took it to asked me if I had tried to do it myself because it was so blatantly wrong. They then tried to trick me into bringing it back to them to be fixed and they would "be happy to finance the cost of the repairs for me". I firmly believe they knew exactly what the issue was and were simply trying to extort money from me. This place is over an hour away from me, even making the original journey here to purchase this vehicle was difficult due to my wife being disabled and actually allergic to the sun (she breaks out in hives within a minute or so and her condition declines rapidly due to medication she is on for her disability). These uncaring and unscrupulous individuals won't even mail me the tags and second key for my broken vehicle, as they had promised during the initial sale of the vehicle, without trying to charge me an exorbitant fee of $25 even knowing that my wife would be the only one able to pick them up, that it's not possible for her due to her disability and sun sensitivity, and that I wouldn't make it home in time to get out to them. Zero scruples, zero customer service except to make a sale, and zero heart. Unless you are as equally ruthless and uncaring, stay as far away from this dealership as you can. I have bought a LOT of cars in my day, and this dealership is so bad they make the last guys that were at the bottom of my list look like angels. read more

No rating. Like Natasha, I wish there was a way to put ZERO or NEGATIVE stars. Watch out for these guys. They don't seem to follow instructions well unless they are trying to get money. They seem to be good at that. Think twice before doing business here. If you do, I recommend that you DO NOT consider the extended warranty. Shame on me. I should have known. bought my truck in jan 2019 was told I could trade up in 6 months and only have to pay taxes and title fees when I tried to trade up they said I would have to come up with 5000 .00 more down because I was up side down. I guess I paid to much for the first vehicle I got from there. There very misleading read more

Obviously this dealer helps folks with bad credit and that's great but I have learned that there are better vehicles and loans to be had elsewhere. I bought 2 vehicles from them. Got a second on their "trade up program" which all it does it make you more stuck with them since you are rolling over negative equity. It's not a trade up you are just trading in like you would anywhere else. The truck I got had a bad gauge cluster that I mentioned and they said they would fix it. Long story short over a year later and I still have no working gauges. What's even more curious to me is how did the truck passed the safety inspection and how was it legally sold without a working check engine light? That is a big no no and should have never been legally sold by the dealer. After over a year of trying to get this fixed after they suggested I drop off the gauges and keep driving with no gauges while it was being fixed I finally gave up and traded the truck in at another dealer. For over a year I called weekly and was told a different story every time. Shop here if you like but there are better loans and vehicles to be had elsewhere. read more

Wish I could give this place -0 stars! I am 8 1/2 months pregnant and the sticker price on the vehicle says 11,991. After we agreed to 12,297.82 verbally, they took $3,000.00 as a down payment but the receipt said we still owed 12,297.82 so I asked why, and they said that we were still financing 12,297.82 regardless of the cash we paid. I told them there was no way I would pay over 15k for the vehicle and I want my money back that I paid less than 60 seconds ago and they said they couldn't give it back to me because it was already in the safe! I didn't sign anything, I have no keys, I'm not agreeing to give away thousands of dollars for free, and what kind of scum tries to rob a pregnant woman! I called the police. They are crooks! read more

I too don't think they even deserve one star. My husband has spent the last few days working a deal on a car there, financing went through yesterday and was all good to go. At 5pm yesterday we agreed that we would make the 138 mile drive early this morning and be there at opening to sign and drive away. We offered to pay to hold the vehicle if needed with no response. They knew we were driving a distance to get the car but didn't contact us when they magically sold it in the last hour of business. So we drove out this morning and arrived at 9am (before the salesman even made it into work) to find the car had been sold out from under us. Avoid this shop. Shady practices, lies from start to finish and a waste of our week. read more

The worst place! ZERO STARS! They are holding my car hostage! Will not give us the plates to our other vehicle either. We have NEVER missed a payment. Keep forking out more and more money to the owner JAMIE WILSON- who is conveniently NEVER IN THE OFFICE. They have my Escalade- put a transmission in it after it blew up after driving it for 2 months- and said they were covering the payment to the new TransMission- since they wouldn't give me my money back or trade me vehicles! I have not had my car since FEBRUARY 10- and have made my Payments so I don't go late- first they tell me they are paying transmission , next they tell me I have to pay half and they will pay half- next they tell me it's being rolled in on my loan- Next thing I know I make my regular payment on March 31- and a few hours later I have in red on my online account- 2177.50 due by March 15 saying it is LATE! How in the world are these people still in business?! It's CRAZY!!!!! So we paid it last night- for the transmission in full although we have messages and phone recordings stating they would pay it- and NOW- they WILL NOT RELEASE MY CAR STILL SAYING THEY ARE NOT ACCEPTING THE Payment due to a dispute my aunt placed on a payment back when I first bought the vehicle! Every since then they have been sucking us DRY! Have emailed them several times- called over and over again to NEVER GET THE OWNER ON THE PHONE! Not to mention all of the 101 people on YELP WHO HAVE GONE THROUGH THIS SAME PROBLEM WITH THEM. Not to mention BOTH of my vehicles were in HURRICANE HARVEY WHICH WAS NEVER DISCLOSED- not to mention they are trying to repo both our vehicles when we have paid everything up to date! These people are scam artists! Oh yea, and they did they SAME THING TO MY FATHER A FEW YEARS AGO!!!!! He ended up taking his broke down truck back and telling them to shove it, lost ALL HIS MONEY TOO! Wish I would of known this before I gave them everything I have and purchased 2 vehicles from them! I STILL DO NOT HAVE MY VEHICLE BACK- lost my job, cannot take my kids to school, and they just keep wanting more money after I have not seen a receipt from them on anything yet or a phone call from the owner yet I STILL PAID IT! DO NOT BUY A CAR FROM THEM! Whatever you do!!! NOW I JUST FOUND OUT THEY HAVE MY CAR FOR SALE!!!!!!!!!! read more

They sold us a lemon with a worthless warranty and had every excuse why they could not or would not fix anything. They kept the car for 4 days to look at it to tell us they wouldn't fix it until it completely broke and if we went anywhere else it would void the worthless warranty. read more

DO NOT go to these people. I wish I'd read their review on YELP first. They actually told us about the additional high fees for financing, and we opted to pay the full price via cashier's check (using half of our savings). The DAY we bought the car, 30 MILES down the road MAJOR problems began. We took the Jeep to our mechanic, and it's going to require a huge engine overhaul. Our mechanic found a new oil sending sensor that had been put on the car as he was attempting to replace that with a new sensor. The dealership hadn't even tightened the sensor they put on. HORRIBLE MESS. They won't tow it to work on it and told us basically -- it's your problem. NOT even 6 hours later. read more

Absolutely terrible!!!!! I really regret that i put my money into this place. $2200 down n My car had major engine issues after 2 months, i have always been on time with payment $400/mnth n the 1 time i am late cause i get paid bi-weekly they call a wrecker to pick it up. Acts like they are there to help but only if you have money for anyone else they could care less. Calls you every day after due date to let you know that your car has been placed in collection. No one there has any genuine knowledge about my car other than the price. Even bought a warranty through their company which i found out isnt worth anything. Owners name is Jaime and he is a real dick but you wont find that out until after you have already bought a car and are starting to have trouble with it. Please save yourself the fucking trouble and dont even do it. read more

Jamie is not to be trusted at all. Bait and switch information, finance rates, etc.. Hassle and threaten you at every chance he can get.
