After making an appointment to view two cars and driving an hour to get there my wife and I were told first that the salesman we had the appointment with had left and asked another to handle us. She had no knowledge of what we were there for. We explained and were told that one car that was advertised on their website didn't exist. The other had been taken by their boss for lunch. We asked to see another and was told it would take an hour and a half to bring the Corvette from their storage lot. Will never do business with them again. We went to Texas Auto because they had a good selection of nice cars. From the minute we stepped on the lot we were greeted and help by Salesman Kelsey. He did a great job and was very patient with us as we looked around. We came to choose a Cadillac SRX and told him we would take it if they could make the payments where we wanted. I didn't need a car so the ball was in their court. We received a call the next day that they were able to make it happen so we went down spent 2 hours waiting to find out that they did not get it to the payments I said. I will never recommend anyone to the dealer. To many things to name about the bad service I've had with them. Love my jeep but the service is horrible it's been two months and still no license plate for my jeep. They said they have called me but no answer I have had the same damn number for 10 years lol. Lil things they said they would fix did not get fix my jeep wasn't ready when they said it would be. I drove to the dealer 3 different times to get my jeep I live an hour away so I wasn't happy. Got my jeep and drove home 20 miles into my drive gas light comes on really all that crap and they could feel up the tank. So go to gas station and feel up and decide to inspect the jeep (yes I should have done it at the dealer but I was ready to go home) all the small things they said they would fix didn't get fix even after I left the jeep for 3 more days. Turn signals side mirrors didn't work. They have a 100 point inspection that's a joke. Do your research wish I would have this place customer service SUCKS. I bought this truck back in November the sales man was great! I bought at the north side dealer. Service department is the reason that I rate it one star. A few weeks after buying it I noticed a sound coming from the front tires. Brought to the service department here in Webster. They told me that then takes where fine. Fords factory pads tend to make a sound but everything is ok. I brought the truck back today, May, because I still here the sound. They decide to fix the breaks and rotators but have me pay for it. I spoke with Michael who is the general manager there They were all upset because I decided to not purchase the car from them due to the unprofessional Behavior of this dealership. They have hung up the phone on me all of the sales representatives including the general manager and sales manager when all I asked him for was my money back. My husband found a vehicle on their website... He give them $500 to hold it. We then flew to Texas and they was suppose to be there to pick us up. They knew when our flight was landing and where we would be. We waited for almost two hours to be picked up. Once we got to the dealership we got a closer look of the truck and realized the truck would have to have tires put on it with the next 6 months possibly. The truck had a 6inch lift as well as 24inch wheels on it. We go for a test drive and everything seems all good. So we return, fill out the papers and start heading home for our 8+hr drive home. We stop and get fuel and some food since we was starving from the wait. We get onto interstate 10 and within 20 minutes the back tire explodes. We sit on the side of the road waiting on someone from their shop to come and change the tire. When we get the spare out we see it has a screw in it and the wheel that blew out is ruined and $650 wheel. They did not offer to pay for... After we get the tire changed and get to moving I told me husband something is up with the radio it's going in and out. He said it's just the station I said no... When we get home we took it to advanced audio and they said it had been wired up for a quick fix and could catch on fire that the whole system was going out. So we had to replace the radio for $560. We took the truck by a tire shop and now that all that tire shine was off you could clearly see the tires was worse than we assumed the man that owned the shop said we needed tires now. That was another $2,940. We put $7,000 down on this truck and they never offered to pay for anything... So when we confronted them they asked for the receipts and once they saw them all they could offer us was 1,000. DO NOT USE THEM apparently they dress things up and make them real appealing when in truth it's S***. Go somewhere else where they is good vehicles with honest people who care about their customers. HORRIBLE just to start off with , This is not the place you want to buy your car from , I did a mistake not trusting the review that was written a year ago thinking things might have changed there. Unfortunately it's the same , this place advertises and sells their cars as if they are way better than the car actually is, they fail to point out flows in the car , including accidents, hits , damaged rims and scratched up vehicle. The experience with the "sales lady" Serett was horrible , extremely rude but nice when they want to take ur money then back to rude - imagine calling to ask about a car and making a offer and the sales person tells you " tell me why I should give I a better deal ?? I have kids at home" that was first red flag I let pass. And i almost guarantee everyone that works there has this attitude which is allowed threw owners. After agreeing for a delivery date ( because I did buy the car online and threw the phone, trusting these ppl and their pics/videos) but i didn't know how shady they where until after they received my money and decided that their delivery person/company just left and didn't want to wait to deliver my car. So I had to find someone to deliver the car and about that I had to come out of pocket. Now let's talk about that ( this is how cheap these ppl are ) so serret claims she has to pay out of pocket to deliver my car ( lie ) ok now I ask here what is the budget and she says no more than 300$, also ok . Now she called the ppl that I set up delivery with after I agreed with both sides to 300$ from dealership and remaining I will pay , Serret tries to pocket a hundred dollars by offering them 200$ first then 250$ until I called and she had a small laugh at the situation. Needless to say these ppl are a rip off and can't be trusted. Very trashy attitude I don't even know how they have a business. I spoke with the Sales Rep (David) and discussed a vehicle, he did several walk arounds and assured me the vehicle was in great condition. I also spoke with two seperate finance guys (they were polite) and one said he looked over the vehicle and it was nice. I had my bank coordinate with them and I drove over 500 miles to purchase the car. When I arrived there were a few minor issues I noticed like several door dings that were not disclosed. Further investigation I noticed that the front grill was cracked all the way across. I opened the hood to see that the entire bumper was damaged. I explained the issue to the salesman and he went to speak with Adam (finance manager). Adam came in (extremely rude and spoke to me as if I were stupid) and said they had already offered the lowest price they would offer on the vehicle but would take $500 off, because he looked up the price of a bumper and it could be purchased for $500. I explained that a blank unpainted uninstalled bumper could be purchased for $500. The damage is more likely in the range of $2,000 and I was not willing to make that deal. I walked back to the vehicle and found loose trim along the rear as well. The saleman kept saying well Carfax is clean, and the damage was considered in pricing. Carfax is not God and does not know all and if the price was adjusted why was this issue not disclosed. I was told that my $500 deposit would be refunded first thing the next day (which would have been Tuesday). I had to call daily for 12 days asking for a confirmation the refund had been submitted. Finally received my refund. The kicker is that the vehicle is still listed for sale for the exact same price and has not been updated to disclose the damages. READ ALL REVIEWS Apparently this is common here. I would not recomend anyone dealing with these guys just based on the poor service and the dishonesty. read more

Do not EVER buy a car from this dealership. First off they tried to switch the rims on me thinking I wouldn't notice when I was picking it up as I had originally bought it on eBay and drove 4 hours to get it. They continued to try to lie and say no that's the rims that have been on it, until I pulled up pictures I thankfully saved on my phone. They tried to even pull up their website where they had already changed the picture but I pulled up their eBay page and showed them the original auction I won and proved them wrong. They reluctantly changed the rims back to the factory rims (they had put some god awful aftermarket rims on it). This was three years ago. I had many things break during ownership of the car but thankfully I bought the extended 3 year warranty. It was rusted beyond belief and I couldn't believe they'd even sell a car like this but that was my own fault for not checking the underside of the vehicle before buying it. I decided that I was not going to drive the car with no warranty so I found something I liked and was going to trade in the car. I expected a good bit out of the car since I bought it for 35k before TT&L 3 years ago. The dealership I was trading it in to pulled the VIN and low and behold, this car had two reports. One was a false mileage warning. The second was major front end collission damage where the car had to be towed away. Needless to say the dealership I was trading the car into will only give me 18k trade in!! The salesman sucked, the car sucked, and this dealership is shady. DO NOT GO THERE!!! read more

RONELL RAM IS THE MAN!! I have been looking to purchase a used Range Rover for some time and have tirelessly looked through every site. I called and spoke with many dealers but was never given straight answers, not called back or just ignored. Then I found a '13 Rover Supercharged at Texas Auto on Autotrader. I called and Ronell Ram answered the phone. I told him I was very interested and he went over the details of the car. I said that was the one I wanted. In 5 minutes he took my information over the phone and said he would call me back. 15 minutes later Ronell and the Finance manager Edward called me back with the rate I was looking for, the cost for transport and all the details. I agreed and they sent overnight the paperwork. Ronell was a pleasure to deal with and I will keep going back to Texas Auto in the future!! Edward in Finance was great as well. He answered all my questions quickly with no run around. Even when I called later with an insurance question, the young lady that answered the phone new exactly what to tell me. Not a good experience at all.... and based on the following: 1. Had sent in a deposit to hold the vehicle and they were sending me all the documents to sign and have delivered. Got a phone call saying they were having "title issues" so they couldn't sell it to me several days later but fairly sure they sold the vehicle to someone else after I had sent a deposit 2. Look closely at their "Fees". They charge almost $700 in fees that other dealerships do not charge- they never tell you this until they send the deal sheet to you 3. They were excellent at returning phone calls and texts until you ask for your deposit back (remember, it was them that nixed the deal because of a "title issue"). After numerous texts and voice mails, finally got a hold of a lady in accounting. She was nice and did refund me in full but it's a pretty good insight to a company's culture how they treat you when they know you are not buying a car from them and they owe you money. Complete silence. I don't usually write reviews but since I'm in a similar business to them, I understand how poorly their service was, what their ethics appear to be, and wanted to take the time to warn others looking at their vehicles. We have tried to buy two different vehicles thinking it would be different. The finance manager was super rude as though he was doing me a favor. They refused to budge on the car price. Ironically, three weeks later, it was dropped to the price we said we would pay. Then the second time, today, my husband saw a vehicle he liked and wanted to check on. I purchased a 2014 Jeep Wrangler on October 5 2015. When buying the vehicle it was stated that the warranty was out (not a big deal). Anyways, the salesman and I walked the lot and didn't see a jeep I liked. He took me to the back and that's where I found the jeep I end up buying. Before we did the paper work I asked has it been inspected and the guy said yes. Reason for me asking was he stated "we just got this in 2 days ago. Well upon buying the vehicle two weeks later the check engine light turns on. I call the dealership and told them the issue. The finance guy tells me "well you could bring it in and we can have our guys mess it so the light turns off". With in the same week I get a call and voicemail saying "we need you to bring the Jeep in to do an inspection so we can get your plates and sticker". So I call back and talk to the lady and tell her the salesman told me it has already been inspected she said no sir it has not we need to do one to get the sticker and plates. Well the dealership didn't help fix any of the problems and lied about me being able to get a extend warranty. I am not able to get an extended warranty due to the jeep having a snorkel installed. Well it has been a little over two months now and no plates or sticker. I'm riding around with an expired paper plate because I'm working nights and don't want to stay up to keep having to go to the dealership to get paper plates. Called asked where are my plates and sticker and what do you know they have no knowledge of me buying a vehicle from them. If you're reading this please stay away from this place regardless if it's a good deal there is probably something wrong with the vehicle. Hope this helps you from buying a piece of junk. read more

Saw an ad via AutoTrader and contacted them. Truck looked good, price seems to be good to negotiate toward my budget. Worked with Kristin R. After we talked and I expressed interest she called me back and told me the were about to load the truck out to auction and I need to provide a deposit so she could keep it off the truck. I asked her if the deposit was refundable and she said "yes" with no qualifications added. Later, we discuss options to replace the tires (no tread) as well as the rims (ugly). We looked into the cost of the tires and potential of painting the wheels. As the day move forward, she become more pushy and was asking when I would be flying in, as though i had already bought the truck, yet i had not even seen any invoice at that point in time. The invoice was finaly sent at 4PM. The invoice included approx $1000 in bogus fees such as Window Etching for $399 etc. I told her the price was too high. At this point, she started texting me that she had already ordered tires, asked for the wheels to be painted, not of which i had requested her to do, we hadnt even negotiated on price yet. I told her it was too high and we need to come down on price, as well as remove the bogus fees. She progressively got more agitated (rude). I ended up talking to her boss Mike R., told him we need to work on the price and we would talk the next day. The next day, basically they wouldn't budge on anything. I told them I wanted my deposit back, They will not return it, saying they spent money on tires and have a restocking fee (BS), none of which i authorized her to do on my behalf, I only saw the work up at 4PM. Mike R. told me he would not refund the deposit. I told him she told me it was refundable. She lied to him and told him she said it was refundable with "qualifiers" which is not true. This is a scam. I am disputing the chargers with my credit card company and taking other action. read more

I had an inspection done, and the pics they have on their website were completely different than what the vehicle looked like in person. The car looked as though it had been keyed, paint chips every where as well, the tires were in very bad condition, there was rust EVERYWHERE, and the interior was filthy and disgusting. I asked them for my 500.00 deposit back and didn't hear anything else from these scam artist. Luckily I made a dispute with my credit card company and was able to get my $$ back. Avoid this place at all costs, it is the typical used car dealership and even worse. Other than the boss man, Bert is his name, every other human being in this place lacks any and all communication and follow up ability or initiative. My entire experience has been a time consuming comedy of errors and incompetence. They ended up taking back my first purchased car after 2 weeks because it kept breaking down. They would not allow me at that point to do business elsewhere, even though I clearly expressed to them that was what I wanted to do. I settled for the next closest vehicle even though I was trapped, and the laziness has continued. I asked them on 4 separate occasions to send me extended temporary tags, never got them. They were completely fine with me driving around on expired tags for 18 days, no exaggeration. I had to remind them to detail the car, which they claimed they did while I came in on my lunch break to sign the paperwork. All they did was wipe down the wheels and give it a general vacuum, I found gum wrappers under the seats and seems they're unaware of this new invention called leather wipes that can be used on leather interior. They didn't even bother to clean the dashboard. I have also asked the salesman Robert to put gas in the tank 3 times, which they have conveniently forgotten to do still to this day, they have no problem selling you a car with an empty gas tank. To top it off, I called the warranty company to find out why 4 weeks later I still have not received the refund for my first vehicle's purchased warranty, surprise because Texas auto had not called them to cancel it. They also had not cancelled the first loan, as I got a call at work asking why I had not made my first payment. Final bit of humor, received a fed ex envelope at my house, and it was the pay off check supposed to go to the lender but the Einstein mistakenly sent it to my home address, now I have to take more time and money out of my own to get this right. I will be filing a complaint with BBB Monday, this place sucks beyond words and you would be very wise to do business elsewhere. read more

If you're thinking of buying from these people....my advice is DON'T!! I gave them the benefit of doubt, and I'm EXTREMELY disappointed in their lack of integrity and honesty. Like many others, I hadn't ever purchased a vehicle online (sight unseen) but depended on the Sales person to be up front and honest in his disclosure and description of the vehicle I viewed in the EBAY ad. ORIGINALLY.....I actually bid for the vehicle online, but was provided a phone number to call them and negotiate over the phone. After calling and talking to the Salesman (Matt James), and asking for pictures and an honest assessment of the 2008 Cadillac CTS, He provided video's and was assured that it was in pristine condition and that Texas Auto would stand behind any description or representation of condition. HOWEVER......The reality is quite different. He conveniently kept pictures of damage and provided NO description or information as to whether the vehicle had any damage. I paid nearly $20,000 for this used car....so I would (should) expect that it would be in pretty good condition and that any damage or disrepair would be disclosed. I was also told that the vehicle had been thoroughly gone over by their service department and that they would have addressed any visible or serviceability issues before putting it up for sale. After shipping the vehicle to my location at my own expense, I immediately noticed several details that were conveniently NEVER shown in any of the pictures or pointed out in the description. 1) Passenger side rear wheel was damaged and needed to be replaced. 2) EXTREMELY stinky interior as if there has been Flood Damage. This vehicle originally came from the San Antonio area (Flood Damage??) Smells of mold or mildew that can't be covered up or aired out. 3) TERRIBLE rattle coming from the Passenger side rear wheel that sounds like a broken shock absorber or loose exhaust or even a fuel pump...WHO KNOWS, but it SHOULD have been taken care of by any dealership that even drove the car 2 miles before selling it. 4) Strong Gasoline Smell so strong that I can't park it in my garage for fear of it exploding if I start it. Ends up that this problem is a fuel pump at a replacement cost of $800 6) Clear coat on Hood is coming off..... Needless to say....when I contacted the sales person Matt, he apologized and agreed that he probably should have gone over the vehicle more carefully. He then referred the matter to the GM (Tom) who also apologized and said he'd resolve everything and was going to contact a dealership or repair shop in my location. He 'SAID' he'd get back to me within 2 days. After waiting for 5 days I finally tried calling him back, then tried texting and emails. After nearly a month I called my salesman Matt again and he explained that Tom was no longer working at Texas Auto and I should contact a sales manager or the NEW GM (Dan). After calling and leaving messages talking to Elizabeth the receptionist who took all of my information for the UMPteenth time, they're apparently just blowing me off. Meanwhile I have a $20,000 used vehicle that I'm embarrassed to even drive or subject another passenger to the STENCH of the inside. My best advice is to NEVER buy a vehicle online and PARTICULARLY from TEXAS AUTO ONLINE.......they're the most dishonest dealership I've ever dealt with.. read more

I bought a car from Texas Auto Online on 12/31/14 and was sold a junk extended warranty Portfolio Protection aka (First Extended Service Corp.) Check out the BBB or online reviews on them! I did so I told them to take it off the contract. They said they would refund my money as soon as the loan finance. That was 1st week of January and I have paid my 2nd car note already! NO REFUND AS OF YET!!! Last news "check lost in the mail", Checked BBB and for some reason this seems to be a common EXCUSE from them. (common lie!) They have horrible customer service, hang up phone and wont transfer to managers. All they care about is taking your money. I have been having to pay interest on my on money from the loan! After finding my car online, I called to schedule an appointment for the very next day. Upon arriving, the excitement began as I confirmed this was truly the vehicle I'd been waiting for. A few days after purchase, I encountered a few problems with electronics and also noticed some damage to the vehicle that I had missed while viewing. I bought a truck from Texas Auto, There was absolute no communication about anything, after paying for the truck they lined up a shipping company terrible experience! Finally I sent a truck from Las Vegas called and asked Texas Auto if they had loading DOCK they assured me they did. When my truck showed up the salesman says it is a loading area so I just paid $250.00 to a tow truck to lift it up on to my truck. Not impressed at all. I visited this dealership on a Saturday and expected a greeting from at least one person who appeared to be a salesperson however there were four employees who looked like mechanics taking a smoke break. Not long after an introduction from one of the so-called salesmen, I was told the car I was looking for was out on a loan. I took a look at a couple of other cars I was interested in but two of the three cars I looked at had evidence of recent cigarette smoking, burn holes, and still had ashes on the dash and consoles. The salesman kept getting paged for a service call and eventually just left me in the lot so I took the opportunity to get out of there. I bid on a car on E-Bay . They took the vehicle off Ebay and emailed me to make another offer. After hagleing around , they accepted my offer to buy. They sent me a bill of sale and told me the car was ready to be picked up or shipped. I got the check from the bank bought two plane tickets and was told they would pick me up from the airport.Three days before I fly out ,I get a call that the car had a bad transmission and they couldnt sell it to me. After talking to everyone there and getting no return calls.I called back and I was told that they would not return the money I lost on the plane tickets. STAY AWAY FROM THIS DEALER! I bought a car from them and had it shipped to me, asked them to be very upfront and honest about the condition of the car as I was going to have to buy sight unseen due to the distance and did not want any surprises when I received the car. They knowingly sent the car to me with a defective rim that leaks air, the car was never detailed, came with no gas in the tank so I couldn't even make it to a gas station. Sound system does not work. And of course upfront they assured me the car had gone through their "Multi-point" check system to insure there are no issues with the car. Its funny how once they got paid they want nothing to do with me or follow up. My Salesman and Sales Manager who I both contacted with the problems with the car will not talk to me now! They are ebay and craigslist sellers and nothing more. They have hundreds if not thousands of dollars of hidden fees waiting on you to arrive. They kept asking me to use a debit card to hold the truck, which I advised that I only use credit cards and never debit. When I arrived I over heard the sells people talking very poorly about the customers. Wife made a comment right then and there "Your not going to buy from these guys, they don't seem honest". How right she was. Our salesman tried to convince us that the price was thousands of dollars higher than what we had already seen online and talked about. When I reminded him of the price he said I was wrong and he would go check it again. While he was gone I checked it on my phone and found they had lowered the price again about $500 dollars. During the test drive he told me that they had about $600 dollars of fees. $300 is for cleaning the vehicle. When I said the truck is caked in mud from top to bottom so maybe you guys can drop that fee, he said no everybody gets charged that. Anyway he returns and says yea you were right but quotes the old price and not the new lower price. Manager comes by and quotes the out the door price which is thousands higher, even with the fees included it should not have been anything like what he was talking. All you get from these guys is empty promises because the pictures will not match the actual product that you purchase. Not to mention some one was in the office next to us trying to cell software to track all your browsing history once you visit there site. They were talking about using it to help set the price you would pay for a vehicle to help them make more money. Not the kind of people I would ever do business with. Oh the truck I was looking at had some 100+ inspection on it. When they put it up on a lift, it was obvious due to the thick mud covering areas they could not have checked any of the vital areas. Without a doubt the worst car buying experience EVER. I bought a car from these guys through their webpage. Had a friend check out the car and we agree on a price, then I tell them I'm financing with my local credit union. 2 hours later I get a call telling me there is "a problem with the title". There is a lien on the title, they never should have sold the car to me, they have to send it back to the auction house, etc. I go back and forth with them for a week trying to resolve. BTW, the car is still for sale on their website at the time. I give up because they tell me there is nothing they can do about it. Well, about a week later I get a call saying "the problems with the lien have been cleared up" and want to know if I still want to buy the car. I knew it wasn't really true so I run a title search and not surprisingly it's totally clean. It appears to me that they were just pissed off that I didn't finance with them and held the car in inventory for another week to see if anyone else would buy the car and finance with them. When nobody else bought the car, they called me back and sold it. BTW, I received the original title today. It was clean; signed off by the previous lienholder back in May. Check out all the negative reviews about this place. It appears to me that they are still selling cars the old fashioned way; trying to take advantage of customers and only looking out for themselves. I have to agree that this dealership has the most shady group of individuals working with and for them. Just this past Friday, found the car online that I've been wanting for a long time, worked a deal out with one of the salesman on Saturday only to find out on Monday--after putting down a 500 dollar deposit, that our "deal" wasn't a done deal. He attempted to get more money out of us back on the car--actually the 500 dollars we had gotton off the sticker price of the car he attempted to get back in hidden fees, and taxes. They kept telling us what a "good deal" we had gotten for the car. Although, a price was finally agreed upon after several days of tying up my time and energy we had our money wired to them on Monday in hopes of having our car picked up on Tuesday and shipped to us several states away. We had already made arrangements to have the car shipped, etc. Monday evening around 830pm the sales manager called to give us this "news" that he had the car pulled off the lot to have it "detailed", but the engine started to make "terrible sounds!" He stated "I' don't know what is wrong, but can no longer sell you this car with it making this noise"! I suppose since they never took our car off line or put "sold" on it, someone else must have gotten dubbed for more money. Anyway, after reading the poor reviews of this company, I'm so happy that I'm NOT buying my car from these people. Don't trust them!!! Make sure you see it before you buy it!! And don't think just because you wire them money or put down a deposit that your car will be held for you!!! I think they will renig on a deal, to make a better deal. I purchased a 2006 Dodge Ram from Texas Auto Online about 2 months ago. First off, they had the truck for sale on the lot with the interior filthy, the tail gate broken, illegal window tint on the windshield, and in need a front end alignment, besides all the minor issues I really wanted the truck, oh and I noticed that the a/c wasn't working very good and mentioned this to the sales man, he insisted this was normal for the truck, which I knew was bull**** but since I was told the extended warranty would definitely fix it, I wasn't worried much. So after I made the financing, and had to wait like 5 days for them to fix the other problems, I finally got the truck home, well as it started getting hotter outside I took it in to get the a/c fixed, I sat in the auto repair dept. for probably 4 hours to be told that the warranty wouldn't cover a $150 part to fix the a/c, I had fire coming out of my ears, to say the least, I told the manager how pissed I was and I was going to let everyone know what a sh***y place Texas Auto Online is, well they fixed the a/c, but they still really suck and I wouldn't recommend them to my worst enemy, of course they are gonna be nice to you so you will buy a vehicle and they get their commission, but once you sign those papers, forget about the niceness, they are all to worried about sitting outside smoking, texting, and starring at every girl that walks by, they are rude and very very unprofessional.
