Excellent experience at Russell & Smith Mazda!…read more When I started looking for a new Mazda dealership in the Houston area, I narrowed it down to two choices -- one in Katy and Russell & Smith Mazda. I had previously been taking my vehicles to the Mazda dealership in Webster, but after multiple attempts to reach my former Service Advisor -- calls, emails, and messages -- I never received a response. Unfortunately, it was time for me to find a different location. Once Russell & Smith became my choice, I asked AI who I should request as my Service Advisor. Stephen Rodriguez really stood out based on the reviews I found. When I first met Stephen, I told him, "It's your fault why I'm here!" And after dealing with him, I can honestly say the reviews were right. Stephen was great and an absolute pleasure to work with. He kept me updated throughout the entire process and made sure I knew what was going on with my vehicle. As for the actual service, I couldn't have asked for a better experience. My A/C compressor had failed, and the repair was handled very quickly. I was able to get a loaner within about two hours, and my CX-30 was ready the very next day with a new compressor installed. A big thank you to Stephen Rodriguez, the service technician, and the entire Russell & Smith Mazda Service Department for taking care of me and getting me back on the road with working A/C! I will definitely be back. As for the dealership in Webster... I guess they didn't want the business. ‍ Thank you, Russell & Smith Mazda!

Please read before you purchase a vehicle…read more... I was seriously considering purchasing a 2021 Dodge Challenger Scat Pack Widebody from this dealership for approximately $50,000. Unfortunately, my experience left me with serious concerns about transparency. I specifically asked where the dealership acquired the vehicle and whether it had previous collision/structural damage or repairs. I was told, "We cannot disclose to anyone how we acquire the Challenger." When I asked what work had been performed, I was told only an oil change and replacement of the engine and cabin air filters. Since the dealership would not answer my questions about the vehicle's acquisition history, I researched the VIN myself. I found publicly available auction records showing that this exact vehicle had previously been offered through Copart by GEICO, with "vandalism" listed as the primary damage. After discovering this, I again asked reasonable questions about the vehicle's history and repairs. Instead of directly addressing my concerns, the response I received was, "We pray GOD will assist you to find a perfect history Challenger." That response effectively ended any interest I had in doing business with this dealership. To be clear, my issue is not simply that the car went through Copart or had a vandalism claim. There may be perfectly good vehicles sold through insurance auctions. My issue is that I was prepared to spend around $50,000 and had to independently uncover information about the vehicle after receiving evasive responses to straightforward questions. A simple, transparent response explaining the vehicle's known history would have gone a long way. My recommendation to prospective buyers: research the VIN yourself, obtain Carfax/AutoCheck reports, search auction records, and have any vehicle independently inspected before purchasing. Based on my personal experience with this inquiry, I would not feel comfortable purchasing a vehicle from this dealership.

Update 17Jul2026: The sales manager, MyLinh Salazar,…read morecontacted me saying that I was a valued customer and had indeed purchased multiple vehicles at this location. Lexus would take care of my windshield replacement. Maybe they do care about their customers? MyLinh promised me that she would let the service department know and I just needed to schedule service with them. Everything would be on my file. Welp, I texted the customer service line to schedule an appointment; the same line I use to schedule vehicle services. Ana couldn't figure out how to schedule and kept deferring. She first told me that they would arrange for a manager to call me; which they did, and I explained the situation. Ana finally said she can schedule my appointment and to find a date/time that works. Once I provided that information, there way a 2-day delay. She told me she needed to talk to her colleague and they'll get back to me as soon as possible. That was June 2nd.. no response via that text line to this date. Skip forward a week or two, I decided to call the service department directly. I explained the situation, gave them MyLinh Salazar's name and that I would like to schedule a complimentary windshield replacement. Easy peasy.. I got in the books and was scheduled for June 10th at 8am. I came in to drop my vehicle off and they set me up with a loaner fairly quickly, with the understanding that they would call me in a few hours when my vehicle was done. I asked them this question specifically and this was the exact response. 4pm rolls around and I'm curious why they haven't called or provided any updates. I never received a text from the service team, which is abnormal, so I called the service line directly. My service provider called me back and told me they were still waiting for the parts. Why did they schedule a windshield replacement appointment and never order a windshield! Wtf?! So I wasted 2 days of them just keeping my car cause they didn't have the parts to do the job. Austin finally confirmed they didn't get everything in until Friday morning, June 12th. My vehicle was not ready until very late Friday, around 5:30-6pm. I opted to pick up my vehicle Saturday, June 13th, 3 full days later. I'm not sure what's going on with this dealership or their service department. It was a really bad experience, on top of a really bad sales experience (see below) the last 2 vehicles. 18May2026: One of the shadiest businesses I've ever worked with. I've purchased 3 vehicles here over the years and each time, the experience gets worse. My first vehicle was about 10 years ago when Sterling McCall Lexus actually cared about giving stellar customer service, but I've seen this mentality decrease over the years.. maybe due to demand but it's completely unacceptable. I bought my 2nd vehicle during covid and had to wait for it to arrive from Japan. The negotiations felt like a "bait and switch" experience, where they say one thing and come out with completely something different on paper. Luckily we read behind the lines and called them out on it before the documents were complete. This last time was a year ago, and it was with Finance. Again, a sought after vehicle. I had a deposit down and thought it was weird they took my deposit and didn't call me with the vehicle of my choice, over a year later. This dealership wouldn't give you your position # on the waitlist. When I absolutely needed a vehicle due to an unexpected accident, they magically came up with something in production that would arrive within a month. I purchased a windshield replacement option and they told me I could be covered for tires and windshield. I have documentation that the small print about the windshield replacement having a restriction of under 6" was never disclosed. That is, until I called and had to use it. No information about taking a photo with a ruler, or size restriction; the whole package was a scam. Anything less than 6" is not a windshield replacement, just a small chip repair through Caltex. Shady business all around, from sales to finance.

Since Sewell has an Audi location in Sugar Land, we frequently come here for that service. The process is very easy--you simply drive up into their covered area, let them know you're there for a car wash, and they'll take your phone number. Once the vehicle is ready, they'll text you so you can walk out, get in your car, and leave. One of the biggest highlights of this location is the waiting area. It's very comfortable and modern, with free Wi-Fi, plenty of seating, and a high-top work table with outlets for charging a laptop or phone. They also offer complimentary drinks and snacks, including cookies, bottled water, soda, sparkling water, and a coffee machine with options like lattes and mochas. The staff have always been extremely friendly and welcoming whenever we arrive. Car wash wait times vary depending on how busy they are, but we've never waited more than about 30 minutes, and often it's much quicker. One thing to note is that the car wash occasionally goes down for maintenance, so it's a good idea to call ahead and confirm it's operating before making the trip. Overall, if you own a Sewell vehicle and are in the Sugar Land area, this is a very convenient and comfortable place to get a complimentary car wash.

Very disappointing experience with BMW Clear Lake Service Department, and not what I would expect…read morefrom a BMW dealership. Their website advertises a $119 service, but they attempted to charge $150. If a price is publicly advertised, customers should not have to question it in order for it to be honored. Their website also promises a 10% discount for PM appointments, which they initially did not apply until I pointed it out. Another major issue: their online booking advertises vehicle pickup and return service. They picked up my BMW from my home, but later told me they would not return it and instead booked the cheapest Uber option so I could go pick up my own vehicle. This forced me to take time off work, which defeats the purpose of offering pickup and return service in the first place. To make matters worse, they even sent the Uber to the wrong address, despite the fact that they clearly had my correct address on file since they picked up the vehicle from my home earlier the same day. After escalating the issue, the Service Director did match the advertised $119 price and applied the 10% discount, which I appreciate. However, customers should not have to escalate issues just to receive what is clearly advertised. For a BMW dealership that represents the BMW brand, I expected much better transparency, organization, and customer care. Because of this experience, I will not be returning for service and cannot recommend BMW Clear Lake.
