Summary: DO NOT WORK WITH ANTHONY & SYLVAN. This was by far…read morethe worst company I have ever worked with. Terrible communication, broken promises, repeated inspection failures, property damage, and constant follow‑up required on my end. A project promised to take 2 months has taken 11 months and is still not complete. Avoid this company at all costs. Details: Anthony & Sylvan were by far the worst company I have ever worked with. I am writing this detailed review to warn others and am including my email address (espermelhem@gmail.com) so anyone considering them can reach out for more details since none of the 27 reviewers included their contact info to just understand how the process went. I am also attaching photos to back up everything stated here. For any cost, DO NOT work with Anthony & Sylvan. Sales Experience: Starting with the salesperson, Brandon Biazo: Before signing the contract, he was so responsive and attentive while plans were being created. The moment the contract was signed, he completely disappeared. Calls, texts, and emails went unanswered, and there was zero accountability post‑sale. Property Damage & Failure to Inform: During construction, Anthony & Sylvan: - Broke my irrigation system and never informed me - Damaged the drainage system and never informed me - Dropped a forklift onto my house In every case, I had to discover the problem myself and follow up repeatedly just to get acknowledgment and pay from my own pocket to fix. Even then, resolution was slow or nonexistent, and I ultimately fixed some of the damage myself to keep the project moving. Project Delays & Broken Promises: I had to manage this project myself every step of the way. I was promised the pool would be completed in 2 months. It has now taken 11 months, and the final inspection is still not completed. They have failed inspections repeatedly, causing major delays, weeks went on with 0 work and no communication and I still have to follow up constantly on next steps, scheduling, and fixes. Construction Management Issues: - Dominic (construction manager at the time, who I believe is no longer with the company) consistently overpromised and underdelivered. I have messages and emails showing missed commitments and false timelines. - Adam Beeson (Lead Construction Manager) communicated slightly better than the others, but I still had to repeatedly follow up on major issues such as inspections, deck completion, and drainage repairs. Communication gaps of days and sometimes weeks were common, even when active issues were ongoing. I have extensive documentation proving this. Supporting Evidence: I am uploading photos of email chains and the forklift damage to my home to support this review. If anyone wants further details, feel free to reach out: espermelhem@gmail.com. I am more than happy to share additional information and documentation.

Extremely disappointed with this pool. As soon as they received the last payment (two months ago)…read moregetting them to finish work has been like pulling teeth. They stopped responding to calls and messages, failed to provide updates, and never followed through on scheduling required city inspections. We were left constantly chasing answers with no accountability or professionalism. A project this expensive should come with reliable communication and proper permitting/inspection management. Would not recommend based on our experience.

I needed pool service pretty immediately after the rains in November and Japi was among the first…read moreto call me back and provide a time for me. He is very thorough, and knows his pools. He is responsive and even answers all of my dumb questions (I am a first-time pool owner). Prices are in line with the industry average, but he truly cares about the pool and does a good job every week! The proof is the report that he sends with each service with pics!

We hired GP&A after speaking with several pool companies and chose them specifically based on their…read morereviews praising quick response times and communication. Unfortunately, that was not our experience. We did the "Green-to-Clean ($800)". It took SIX weeks. We had to repeatedly follow up because they would go ~2 weeks without showing up or communicating. When we asked, we were told there was an emergency situation, we tried to be understanding, but there was no proactive communication on their end. We decided weekly service ($250/month). After the initial clean, we signed up for weekly maintenance. Within 24-48 hours of each visit, chlorine levels would drop back to 0 ppm. GP&A's explanation was that our pool system was outdated and needed to be replaced. However, we had two separate pool inspections done when we purchased the home, plus 3-4 other pool companies assess the equipment, none of them flagged the system (installed in 2017) as a problem requiring replacement. Upsell attempts: GP&A quoted us a full system replacement (under $6,000) and then a filter replacement (~$2,200) before they said they could continue service. We decided to move on to another provider. End of service: We asked if they could continue maintaining the pool through the end of the month. Their last visit was six days before the final day of the month (image attached). The pool was visibly green and in poor condition by end of month (again they serviced it 6 days ago and it is this green; not adding enough chlorine). When we brought this up, they responded that the condition was "consistent with the unresolved filtration issue for which repairs were recommended", essentially placing responsibility on us for not purchasing their repair package. We were looking for a long-term, trustworthy pool service company. What we experienced was poor communication, inconsistent results, and recommendations that no other company has supported. I cannot recommend GP&A based on our experience.
