Texas Leisure Pools & Spas

Texas Leisure Pool & Spas is a company built with integrity. My husband and I had finally…read morepurchased a spa for physical therapy; plus, we were moving, so this would help me/us greatly. Enter Covid-19 and California (which is where our spa was sitting) shutting down. Leven went above and beyond, making calls to the spa's president to ensure we receive what we payed for. It took a long, long time and I know it wasn't a fun process for him, because many walls were being hit, yet he never relented. The result was we received our spa, trucked directly from another factory in Mexico. I recommend this store to anyone! The quality of customer service is beyond compare and the spa, itself? Post installation and pool school, there is no remote turn on. This was discussed with the owner and he notes that it was not in the order form and we did not read the contract closely enough. Alright? But again, we worked with a sales person and we would not know how to look for that within the sales document. Now a year later, we cannot get in the hot tub unless someone sleeps at the lake house over night and turns it on at 9 am since we cannot turn it on remotely. So, beware of the salesman. Also, at the time of purchase it was 2024, why sell anything without Bluetooth? Also we had to have two pool schools because the first person who arrived did not how to even use our salt hot tub.

GP&A Pool Services

We hired GP&A after speaking with several pool companies and chose them specifically based on their…read morereviews praising quick response times and communication. Unfortunately, that was not our experience. We did the "Green-to-Clean ($800)". It took SIX weeks. We had to repeatedly follow up because they would go ~2 weeks without showing up or communicating. When we asked, we were told there was an emergency situation, we tried to be understanding, but there was no proactive communication on their end. We decided weekly service ($250/month). After the initial clean, we signed up for weekly maintenance. Within 24-48 hours of each visit, chlorine levels would drop back to 0 ppm. GP&A's explanation was that our pool system was outdated and needed to be replaced. However, we had two separate pool inspections done when we purchased the home, plus 3-4 other pool companies assess the equipment, none of them flagged the system (installed in 2017) as a problem requiring replacement. Upsell attempts: GP&A quoted us a full system replacement (under $6,000) and then a filter replacement (~$2,200) before they said they could continue service. We decided to move on to another provider. End of service: We asked if they could continue maintaining the pool through the end of the month. Their last visit was six days before the final day of the month (image attached). The pool was visibly green and in poor condition by end of month (again they serviced it 6 days ago and it is this green; not adding enough chlorine). When we brought this up, they responded that the condition was "consistent with the unresolved filtration issue for which repairs were recommended", essentially placing responsibility on us for not purchasing their repair package. We were looking for a long-term, trustworthy pool service company. What we experienced was poor communication, inconsistent results, and recommendations that no other company has supported. I cannot recommend GP&A based on our experience.

He is responsive and even answers all of my dumb questions (I am a first-time pool owner). Prices are in line with the industry average, but he truly cares about the pool and does a good job every week! The proof is the report that he sends with each service with pics!
