We've used A Quality for decades, and they have delivered excellent service. However, I have been going round and around with their Service department over the current condition if our pool. It is disgusting, green and cloudy. The service guys come each week and attach pictures of the pool after service, like this is normal. It might benm normal for a stock tank, but not for our pool. read more

More than E X C I T E D to say that they had the part I was needing for my pool pump that NO OTHER pool store in the area could source for me. It was a valve that needed to be replaced - and honestly it wasnt a pricey part it was just poorly stocked availability wise in my area. I called and they were able to check by the item number over the phone for me that it was available. I showed up about 15 minutes later and they were already expecting me. Unfortunately A Quality Pools jumps through hoops and helps customers until they sign you up for monthly service. Afterwards not so much. They guys in the field are great in my experience but "claudia" your warranty is always OUT!! Even if the guys in the field say different. Be prepared to go round and round. Our motor went out right before the freeze in January. We called around several places for a motor. A-Quality was so helpful and the best priced. My husband tried replacing the motor himself but unfortunately it was a bigger job then expected and our pump also needed to be replaced. A-Quality gave us an estimate that was better than other quotes we received, came and replaced the pump timely, explained how to use our new pump, and made a full return on what we paid for the original motor we bought. After poor customer service from a national chain, we came to A Quality, and after one visit this became our only pool supply store. Then our old pool needed a refurbish -- new surface and coping is a big job! Brad walked us through the process, helped us choose what we needed, supervised the workers and brought the project in exactly at quote. He went above and beyond for a special request we had (we wanted a pool rope .. who knew they aren't sitting around ready-made!) and installed it to fit perfectly. They say that you learn about the culture of a company by how they deal with adversity, as CLEARLY illustrated in their reviews, ANYTIME there is an issue out of the ordinary, A-Quality Pools seems to show it's true colors. My recommendation is to AVOID this company at ALL COSTS. They have lied repeatedly over the past eight months and their incompetence has cost hours of my time. The only right way to deal with A-Quality Pools is to AVOID at all costs. I am not one to write negative reviews, but after 7-months of lies, deception and unethical actions by the staff, I have no choice. Everything throughout their reviews regarding the incompetence and rudeness is understated. My Maytronics Active 30i stopped in Oct 2020 which was just before the warranty expired. I brought it to A-Quality for service and two weeks later, received a call it was ready for pickup and they found nothing wrong with the unit except 4-impeller stoppage faults found during diagnostics. I brought it home and it stopped the next day. I called and was told to bring the unit back in. When I brought it back in, I mentioned the cord constantly tangles and that the swivel does not work right. I was told that this was a common problem and the tech stated he would order a cable to replace the one on my Active 30i (Early November 2020). Ten days later, I pick up the unit and told they found nothing wrong but an impeller fault. I explained that recently, debris started collecting around the impeller and that I had not seen this before. I was told that it was due to not skimming enough leaves and debris off the bottom of the pool and it was not the cleaner. I got home and put the cleaner in the pool. I hit start and it moved five feet and stopped again. I returned to the store and again met a rude staff, almost annoyed that I brought it back. Two days later, I was told it had a bad motor, my warranty expired and replacing the motor would be at my cost. After a lengthy conversation with another rude A-Quality Tech and explaining the history of my cleaner, I was told they would replace the motor under warranty. Two weeks later, I got the cleaner back with a used motor and asked about the cable. I was told new cables were on back-order due to COVID and they had no timeline. I was assured that I could bring in the unit upon receipt of the cable and it would be replaced under warranty. I took the cleaner home and the next day, it stopped again. I brought the cleaner back in and voiced my disgust and was met with more deception and rudeness. Two days later, I was told the Rapid Drain Flap was missing and that caused the debris to flow back into the impeller. They stated the flap likely fell off in my pool and I should look for it. The flap is 2.5-inches wide and spans the width of the cleaner. Nobody could miss this if it fell off in their pool. I can't believe a technician could not recognize that a part this size was missing before giving it back to a customer. In April 2021, I called about my replacement cable. They asked my phone number and name to look up my account. I was told Maytronics is shipping them and was promised a call when one arrived. After several weeks, I heard nothing so I called on 11 June 2021. Leigh answered the phone and my inquiry was met with hesitation. He pulled up my account and stated that my unit was out of warranty and replacement would be at my expense. I explained the history of my cleaner and he told me that he had a cable allocated for another customer but would replace my cable under warranty and honor their promise. I thanked him and met Leigh when dropping off the cleaner the next day. He did not remember who I was because we had the same conversation as the previous day. As I became a little frustrated, he had the audacity to say that "Honey goes further that s$!t (four letter word for crap) in this store." I replied "Well for the amount of s$!t I have been served by A-Quality, my frustration is warranted." AGAIN, Leigh agreed to replace the cable on my cleaner and would call when it was done Two hours later, I was told this was the first time they saw the cable and it is not covered by warranty because there were no kinks present. I asked how this was the first time they saw the cable when they serviced my unit four times (3 of 4 unsuccessful). They reiterated that they would not honor their promise and I picked up my cleaner without a new cable and will never do business with this unethical company again. read more

I was given this companies name from a distributor to purchase a sealant for the stone around my pool. I called and spoke with a man named Terry. He was so nice and helpful. They didn't have any in stock, but told me he would order it for me. Called me right away when he got the product. Only took a couple of days to get in. Terry had it waiting for me when I got there. A quality pools has been very disappointing. The pool tech has been coming once a week but hasn't actually been doing anything to the pool. Due to his negligence, many of our pool systems have broken down and algae has grown. I have been a customer for many years, and now I'm finished with them. Last October my pool motor was replaced without my permission, and they charged almost $400 for something I would have paid $75 through my home warranty. They took my dolphin robotic cleaner to "check" and I never was contacted. I have been up there 3 times and called several times. Left word for the owner to call, and he did not. I have used this company once before for one time pool cleaning for spring with no problems, but this year! I called for someone to come clean my pool in March and was told they would send someone out the next week to give me an estimate. It has been at least 6 weeks and still waiting. Our service guy, Victor is great. He's thorough and answers any questions I have. He lets me know if I there are any issues that need to be looked at further. I will start by saying a love the shop portion of A Quality Pools - but when it comes to service, they leave something to be desired. I recently purchased a hoe that has a spa attached to the pool. The spa would drain when pump wasn't on. A technician came out and installed a check valve and said that fixed it. It did not. A different technician came out multiple times before they could figure out what was causing the draining. He finally fixed it and installed a timer. When I received the invoice for this, it was paid. I then received an invoice for the original visit (that didn't fix the problem). After attempts to get clarification, I just paid that invoice because I was tired of dealing with them and not getting answers. It was always, "I will look into this and call you back". No call back - thought issued resolved only to get another invoice. I don't think someone should pay for something that didn't fix the problem. I will be looking for a new pool service company. read more

On Thursday, December 22 we got in our spa. When we got out, our suits were ruined and our girls had to shower to get the water off of their skin as the water was quite irritating. On Friday, December 23 I called and reported the problem to Lindy. I did not receive a response so called again and spoke with another gentleman who asked me if I had heated the spa.... He told me I was supposed to call 24 hours in advance of heating the spa as it was in 'winter' mode. I was told that Keith was coming out to test the water and he would contact me. Keith left me a message telling me he would call me the next morning (Saturday, December 24). I never heard anything. I called and left several messages as we were intending to use the spa over the holidays and wanted to make sure the chemical balance was correct. After several more calls, I spoke with Lindy and David. I took a picture of our ruined bathing suits and sent it on Friday, December 30th. Lindy assured me the chemicals were indeed balanced and the spa would be safe for us to get in. At this point I am wondering what will be done to cover the cost of our ruined swimsuits. I would also like a clear explanation of why or how this happened. After living in this house for 9years and using our spa frequently, this has never happened before. Sincerely, This is the email I sent to A Quality pools on January 1st. We still have not received full credit for the cost of our ruined swimsuits....Or a definite reason as to why the chemicals were so unbalanced. Even after taking a picture of our swimsuits, which were bleached completely out... The owner, once we were able to reach him, was defensive and unapologetic. He questioned the amount we had requested to replace three women's swimsuits. Since then we have tried several pool supply companies in north Texas, A-Quality has been one of the best we had found; Then this weekend happened, if you have ever considered filling in your pool talk to Cassandra, she will push you over the edge and makes great reason to do so. The staff is RUDE and disrespectful. They do not listen, several times we tried to explain our issue but Cassandra talked under her breath and rolled her eyes. The "Owner" was not helpful and crass and simply said we should trade somewhere else, and we are. I am not sure what happened to this once GREAT place but RUN AWAY NOW. They are rude and unkind. We have had A-Quality pools for several years and are very satisfied with them. Their weekly service is complete & done well. When leaves are falling, I empty baskets & the cleaner so that the equipment is not over stressed & the pool balance does not have to deal with decaying leaves. They have told us when things need service and, when called, are helpful and courteous. At times, equipment service can be slow to arrive due to problems earlier, but that is a situation of all service calls. read more

They kept trying to raise our rates with NO notice and when we set up the account we requested that from November to April that our pool would only need service every other week instead of weekly. They refuse to acknowledge the request continuing to bill us for a full month, due to the time difference, it is not always easy to get ahold of them. The billing person Lynde is rude, unhelpful and suggested I get a new pool company due to their lack of attention. I was told they have too many accounts. Horrible, Horrible company! Therefore , we are completely clueless as to what needs to be done. 1st we went to Leslie pool , we found the lady was not very pleasant and was not too helpful, she cared more about sales! She has zero customer service. I know this is a family owned business and Sarah can only be family hence her employment . Usually very knowledgable. Several past employees I know I have seen other places and it puzzles me why they left. There are several individuals whom I have seen there are very new and not always the best advice is available. If I recognize a face usually it results in great service and great advice. My concern is the considerable turnover of employees. Great prices and even comparable to many on line stores. I was pretty pleased with the quality of service provided by their technician. We have an older in ground pool, and several other individuals have provided service and not overly awed us with knowledge about our pool. The technician that came from AQualityPools was able to fix everything he was asked to fix, plus explained how our system was set up and what was and wasn't normal. One special thing was that he was the only one of three techs that figured out how to blow our second skimmer drain line to get an obstruction out - both Leslies and another independent pool repair place were unable to figure out how this worked. My only complaint would be that I had to be there and encourage him to blow the line as he first thought it wasn't blocked. We have also purchased a pool robot from them and they provide warranty service, so we will be coming back for more services based on our experience. read more

Only reason it isnt 5 star is because I had to wait all day to find out when the tech would come out. Usually I'll get a call first thing in the morning with a time frame. The tech team gets 5 stars! I'll request Kevin everytime I need service. Installed a new pool pump and had some issues. Didnt complain or gripe like other places I've had service the pool. Issue required him to come back the next morning and finish up and make sure everything was running smoothly. Tested all the equipment to make sure there were no issues with the new pump and didn't leave until everything was working right. Other places come fix the ONE piece and don't bother to make sure the whole system is working like it should. read more

I've been to this store several times and every time I leave satisfied. Pool owners know how expensive owning a pool can be, these guys are so genuinely helpful it takes the sting out of having to spend the money on repairs. I bought a house with an older system so I've had to do a lot of repairs. Each time I go in they are more than willing to help me figure out what the problem is. They COULD just recommend sending someone out and charge me for the service call but it really seems like they want you to be successful on your own. Granted some things I would not work on without an expert but thus far it's been simple maintenance and they are so incredibly helpful. Today I went in and they installed a part I bought yesterday that I couldn't do on my own, I was in and out in 5 minutes, and yet again they told me to look for certain signs in case of bigger problems.
