It started about 2 months ago when my engine seized and I was stuck at the Infiniti dealership in Charlotte. They told me it would cost approximately $18,000.00 for a new engine and my heart dropped. I asked Infiniti who would they recommend to do an engine replacement and they said Christian Brothers. I called Christian Brothers and spoke with Logan, he was able to give me some good information on my situation and based on our conversation, I decided to have my vehicle brought to t he eir shop. Logan was able to confirm what Infiniti told me and offered several options on how to move forward. He was in constant contact with me every step of the process of replacing my engine. However, come to find out that not only did I need to replace my engine but also the transmission because it was damaged due to the seized engine. It was news that I hated to hear yet I did trust that Logan was being honest with me and he did work with me on the price. Also, other issues came up with the repair but instead of charging me for certain repairs, they decided to take care of the cost. When I finally received my vehicle back, there was some other issues that came up and when I called Logan, he was responsive and had the issues resolved at no charge to me. Overall, having my engine seize up and then my transmission being damaged was a very difficult experience and hearing bad news after bad news didn't help, however I trusted Logan and I trusted the previous reviews I read. Overall, this experience was very good and I would definitely recommend Christian Brothers for auto repairs.

I check it out and they spill oil all over my truck and underneath, took it to make them clean it up and not even that they tried to clean it up but very poorly, not professional for what it seems, they don't care about spilling oil all over your car. I was ok with that. He made his diagnosis then ordered parts from advanced auto parts. He calls me when he's picking up the part saying the store ordered and quoted him for the wrong part. At this point I'm completely understanding. He sends me a link to order the correct part. I ordered the part and then let him know it arrived. He came out to fix the car. I told him I was at work so my mom would be the primary contact and told him to reach out to her for anything. He comes out and starts working. I get a call from him at work. He didn't want to call my mom because he knew she was going to be livid. He couldn't do the job. He said there was a part that he needed that he didn't have. I'm irritated at this point but I appreciated him not doing a janky job just for the money. So I called around and eventually found a shop to tow the car to. Come to find out the part he had me order was the wrong part. So he was completely incompetent when it came to this job. Now I have to start completely over and I paid him $150 for him to give wrong information. I will not be calling him again and neither should you!

Then they found out GM no longer manufactured my engine, so it would cost $7K for them to put in a used one. That didn't sound right to me, so I called Coffey to see when I could bring my car by the shop. I didn't tell them what the other repair shop told me. Coffey said it was the thermostat, and charged me $372. A big difference from $7K. Needless to say, I won't be going back to the shop that tried to cheat me. They figured a gray-haired old lady was stupid. They were wrong!

Months later trying to sell the car ran a CARFAX report that flagged a big mileage discrepancy which almost caused the buyer to back out of the deal until examining the receipt closely. The technician entered our zip code for the mileage, only a 70K mile error, their bad. It will take a month or so for CARFAX to be corrected, fortunately the buyer has a sense of humor.
