Updating a review from 10 years ago and going to keep it short and sweet. I've pretty much gotten every oil change and every state inspection on every vehicle from here in the past 10 years and it's always quick and done well without too much high pressure sales like some places. read more

In/out. Attentive staff and good feeling bout their experience level. I went for an inspection and was out within 10 minutes. Overall the service was solid and I feel good about the value that they provide. I'm coming back! read more

Zach the manager and the whole crew were so nice and helpful. They helped me take out my old license plate that was rusted on! (Probably not in their job description, but helped me without hesitation) totally just the nicest guys. Couldn't have done it myself. 10/10 will be coming back here. Give them all raises read more

Left car window down and open while it was raining when they could have protected my interior and handed me my keys. Got into a wet seat. The return date sticker was labeled with date of service. (Today) Did not do full check because as soon a I pulled away tire lights came on saying low pressure. They were fast and nice but this was just poor service. read more

I went in for an oil change at the Brown Mill Road, Huntersville location. After showing me a filthy air filter, they changed that too, as well as doing fluid and tire checks. They are courteous, quick, helpful, and honest. Competitive pricing. Absolutely recommend! read more

Zac and his team are great! Always super fast , great price, and honest. I thought I needed new breaks, but they inspected them and determined I will be good for another 4 months. As a woman I am always worried that car places will sell me on anything. Not these guys! A++ Highly recommended! read more

I stopped today to ask about an oil change and my state inspection that was due and was very happy with the cost and the how nice the young man that greeted me was. There was no wait so I was in and out in a very short period of time with no pressure for extra service. Zac the owner was very nice too. I recommend them highly. Oh and it was Women's Day so I was given an extra 10% off. K. Hammond read more

Quick, detailed, and friendly. Their prices are reasonable and their service is very good. Highly recommended.

My state inspection was due in just a few days so I drove down the road to Grease Monkey to get it done. The team is super efficient, quick and explains things easily. The cost was also lower than other places around town where I've done my inspection in past years. Overall great experience with some really nice folks. All in all took less than 30 mins and didn't break the bank!! read more

This is by far my BEST experience. Service and oil change here at Grease Monkey in Huntersville, NC. I was greeted kindly when I pulled up to request an oil change with my beautiful Toyota Corolla stick shift. I was offered options on which synthetic and some recommendations. I watched the whole process outside which I love. And most importantly the guys are so positive and they were having fun. I love the family vibe at this location. I was thinking about going to Valvoline. But I changed my mind because my last service was with this amazing team here at Grease Monkey, with my last vehicle. I am so happy I made a choice to come here. The quality is exceptional!!! The kindness is spectacular!!! The owner and team are just amazing in all. I will continue coming back to this location. Zack went out of his way to ask me if I would like to change my cabin filter and air filter. And showed me what they looked like. I had denied his offer and said I will do it myself through Amazon. After analyzing the wait for the part and calculating if maybe I wouldn't get the right filters. I decided to tell Zack to go ahead and change them. And so the whole transaction and service was phenomenal. If I could rate this store and staff and owner more than 5 stars. I WOULD!!! They deserve it. Thank you Grease Monkey Huntersville, NC. YOU ALL MADE MY DAY!!!! ^_^ ^_^ ^_^ Keep up the amazing work! Kindness! And going the extra Mile!!! (The price was amazing and well worth it) I AM SO HAPPY WITH THIS SERVICE!!! read more

Attempted to go during normal operating hours(2:50pm on a Saturday). The doors were locked and lights were off. It appeared that two employees were sitting in the parking lot in their car (white Honda civic with smoke coming out the side window) since they tried to hide when I looked their way after realizing the front door was locked and they were wearing matching mechanics clothing. I will not give this place any future business. I would like to hear the managers explanation for this one. read more

Grease Monkey - Auto Repair Near Me - Huntersville, North Carolina

Spilled a lot of oil around the engine compartment. They did not have the courage to tell me, and I smelled the smoke coming from under the hood after driving away. When I asked for a reduction in the charge, the manager dismissed me - no apology. He offered to clean it up, as if I had another hour or two to sit around waiting. Not sure that they would take the care to not damage anything else, based on prior poor performance. read more

High quality care comes from the staff at this location. I have been coming for years for all of my oil change and car inspection services. They do not try to upsell everything, and are so helpful if you have any questions. Highly recommended- it's the only place we trust for our 3 cars! Thanks Grease Monkey for being so awesome! read more

DO NOT GO HERE IF YOU HAVE A MANUAL TRANSMISSION, they lost my business. I've been going to the service station for 5 years, and I would give them 2.5 stars if I could. They are fast and a little pricey, but things come with a trade off. The previous issue that I had was that I arrived 12 minutes before they closed. I was refused service because everyone had gone home and the last guy was locking up. I can understand this, but it still left a bad taste. Most recent issue, this is what I would have expected if it were run well, and they wouldn't have lost my business. 1. I pull up 2. Employee asks what I want and if I have a manual transmission 3. I leave after 3 or 4 minutes because an employee must pull the vehicle into the service bay, and none of the 5 employees could drive a manual transmission. This is an insurance issue, which I totally get. What happened: 1. I pull in and was told it would be 40 -60 minutes in and out, and I agree. 2. The employee(s) told me there was another car before me / move to let more people in, and I had to play musical cars on two occasions because nobody could drive manual. 3. I finally go to move my car to be serviced after 40 minutes of waiting and was told no because an employee must pull the car in. She explained that's what happened to the guy before me, which frustrated me even more. They allowed me and the gentleman before me to wait, probably an hour for him, before they refused service. I wasted my lunch hour, the ability to go somewhere else, and my time, which is important to me. These two things, one minor and one major, will cause them to lose my business. The gentleman before me will probably not come back either. read more

i could not be better pleased............. i expect a auto repair place to either cheat or upsale at the end they did exactly what they said they would do. completed a little early. no extra charges. honestly i didn't know there was an "honest and competent" auto repair still in existance. read more

My 2012 Honda hasn't run like this since it was new. Michael, the new manager, is a master mechanic. The team is nice and courteous. Y'all go up there! read more

Always in and out! Weds is ladies day with $10 dollars off. They changed my oil in less than 20mins and always vacuum my front carpets. They are just an oil change place they do other services but they refer you to another full mechanic shop if you have more of an issue read more

Just met the manager at this Grease Money location. I mentioned that I always bring our cars here for state inspections and oil changes. The staff is courteous, efficient and quick. No doubt I'll continue to do business here. read more

Friendly and professional staff. Had my car examined for state inspection. Only took about 10 minutes or so. Although the cashier told me they didn't do tire balancing, he recommended a good priced one nearby. read more

Went in for my headlights bulb replacement and because my headlights was kinda special and they don't have it on site, they have to get in to their other store or such and I waited an hour or two for the other car they were also attending need one to be order. Anyway, I paid 500 something plus for my headlight bulb (HD) and 1 regular bulb. The HD bulb lights on for a sec and died. Because it's near closing time and which I get there 3:30pm. The mechanic doing my truck told me to come back the next day and he will look at it. The next day I came back and the mechanic was not there for they other mechanic on duty that day told me that he left early. The next day I came back and the mechanic told me without looking checking at it as what he said, told me I need a new casing for it's not working! The only one that was not working was my headlight and the others are working but he told me I need a new casing, basically I have to replace the whole light for it's broken without checking and looking into it, just because I already paid 500 something plus for the bulb that didn't work at all which was the reason I went for it to be replaced. I love going into this shop before but their people has gone very unprofessional as time goes by and management won't do anything about you're concerns and such.. read more

Quick oil change and state inspection. Cheaper than the Honda dealer would charge. No complaints.

My go to oil change spot when I don't have time to do it myself. Fast. Techs are competent. Good price for full synthetic.

luigi, seth, and drew did a great job changed my oil and air filter but there was this one dude with a blonde beard and camo hat he was just standing around. luigi is the best worker go ask for him read more

Been going to this location for over 10 years. I understand troubles in today's world getting quality employee or even any employees at all. Went there today at 4pm. Three guys sitting in their cars. When I asked if they were open, one told me "they are all 3 on a 30 minute break because it's been a long day" I had the choice to wait, but decided not to. But I don't understand while all 3 had to be on break at same time to shut location down. Common sense would be stagger 30 min, heck even 1 hr, long breaks. Was kinda habit to go there for any basic auto needs. They probably don't even care about losing a long time customer. read more

Just had an oil change and my car is reading low on the dipstick. Also, the 3 shop technicians could not reset my oil light. I pulled over at the gas station next door and YouTubed how to reset my own oil light. I will not be returning to this location. All of this took place in roughly 10 minutes. 10 minutes is very fast for an oil change, but maybe not if you leave out the oil and sensor reset. read more

Great experiences at this business. First of all, it's conveniently located minutes from my home. The customer service is on point. Friendly, smiles, respectful ("yes ma'am"). Greeted at my car, in and out usually within 15 minutes - unlike going to a dealership and waiting an hour or more. I've never felt pressured to buy additional services. They've recommended some things but I've never felt "pressured". My husband and I will continue to patronize this business. read more

Grease Monkey - Nice touch with my oil change. - Auto Repair Near Me - Huntersville, North Carolina

The team at Grease Monkey is very efficient and knowledgeable. Paul and his team provide great conversation with their customers during their short wait. I had multiple services provided in 30 minutes which would have taken 4 hours or more at a dealership. I will definitely be back! read more

Honestly, after 3 oil changes here, I've never had a bad experience. The location is interesting (depending on what direction you come from you may have to turn around), but it's isolated and kind of a one-way experience. They're quick, they're efficient, and they get the job done well. Don't have too much more to say, but these guys are my go-to place for a quick oil change during work. read more

Super satisfied no wait quick service. Staff was awesome. Also got the pleasure of meeting the owner Paul introduced him self kind guy. I'll recommend this place thanks guys read more

I had a great experience with Grease Monkey servicing my vehicle yesterday for an oil change. The convenience is amazing as it is literally 3 minutes from my home. The service was exceptional and prompt. I was in & out in under 20 minutes - without having made an appointment. They pulled my car in and while one gentleman was working on the oil change (also topping off my fluids and changing my oil filter) the other fixed the air pressure for my tires, cleaned my windshield and vacuumed my carpets. All of this and i only spent $35 and some change. I will definitely be coming to Grease Monkey from now on to maintain my vehicle!! 5 stars all the way around read more

The previous reviewers are from a while ago. This Grease Monkey has either changed owners or just management. We have been bringing our three cars there for seven years for oil changes, inspections, etc. Today they lost our business for good. Such a shame because the previous management was so pleasant and had stellar customer service. read more

Went there 2 weeks ago for an oil change. They put the wrong size oil filter on my car Oil leaked all over engine. Had to get another total oil change, and paid dealer to clean engine. Sent an email to let them know what they did. Never heard from them. Bad customer service. Done with Grease Monkey. Beware! read more

This is where we always take our cars for oil changes and other simple repairs. Fast service, which is what I love about it. In and out in 15-20 minutes! read more

Always fast and reliable. I've never had a bad experience there.

My first time visiting and I arrived shortly after opening on a Saturday. Only one patron ahead of me. Workers were very friendly and helpful. Service was fast and I wasn't asked to buy more services or parts. I was there for a total of 15 minutes. Highly recommended! read more

Horrible! Don't go here. Passed window tinting inspection last yr..this yr doesn't pass. What the heck. Don't vacuum or wash windows like they say. They offered no explanation when I called back. They don't care. read more

Grease Monkey failed my truck inspection for streaking windshield wiper blades! The wiper blades are 5 months old. Do not go to this inspection station unless you have NEW wiper blades. They tried to up-sell me blades and when I said I could get them cheaper somewhere else I got failed. I talked to the owner and he would not even look at the wiper blades. I have been going to this oil change facility for years. I went to another inspection station and told them what happened, yes I paid $13.50 again. Needless to say, I PASSED. I can't trust that I will ever get reasonable, honest service at Grease Monkey in Huntersville, NC again. I will not return. Stay clear. read more

This was the best experience I've ever had with a mechanic. My husband and I had a coupon to go here for our new brakes. They were cheaper then any other place and they took us in right away with a shorter repair time estimate!!!!! Our mechanic was Wess and he broke down every piece of information before he moved on fixing the brakes. Highly recommended read more

I have always taken my vehicles to this Grease Monkey for oil changes and service. Today, I took my vehicle in for an inspection. Everything passed except the windshield wipers, which I just had replaced two months ago, and they were operating fine. (We drove there in the rain.) They did offer to sell me a new pair for $37. Needless to say, we will not be returning to Grease Monkey for any service. read more
