I loved this course! I took the verbal section with Marty and the quant section with Andrew, both were amazing! I was really scared to prepare for the GRE, but the class definitely gave me all the direction and help I needed to feel like I could take down this test. The teachers are super empathetic and encouraging and I genuinely had fun in these classes. I was originally worried about it being impersonal since it was on zoom, but the classes were so interactive! I felt engaged throughout the whole class (and they are 3 hours). A month after the verbal course ended, Marty reached out to see how I was doing and took the time to review my practice exams and give me direction on how I can improve on my essays/timing. Andrew took the time to meet with me after the quant class ended to go over my study plan, sending me extra resources and taking time out of his own schedule to give me that extra boost. It's scary ending the class and being on your own, but they did such a great job providing extra support I feel confident I can achieve my goal score. For the quant course there are office hours available too, which are great for getting individual questions answered. Yuri is running most of those now and he's so helpful, plus a pun master. You'll roll your eyes at some jokes, but you'll also be learning tricks of the trade from the GRE master :-). The teachers really care about their students and it makes me so glad I chose to sign up! If you're hesitating, I say you should go for it! You won't regret it! read more

I took the 5 week GRE Quant prep course with Marty. I started the class in the 155 range and ended with a 167Q on the actual test. I'm very happy with these results. Marty is very positive and supportive and helped me through the study process. Studying can be a long road and it's much easier to do it with the kind of community that TestCrackers provides. read more

I highly recommend TestCrackers if you are preparing to take GMAT! They are very invested in you and the coaches are awesome. The material and the course itself improved my scores. To top it all every class I took was fun and engaging. read more

TestCrackers GMAT & GRE Prep - Test Preparation Near Me - Santa Clara, California

I can't thank Marty, Anisa, Seth and Yuri enough! Testcrackers is a total gmat game changer. If you're like me and have struggled with self studying (Manhattan prep) or private tutoring, Testcrackers will definitely change the way you approach the gmat. The curriculum is to start students from the basics, whether or not they have prior gmat knowledge. All the instructors are so knowledgeable and add their own zest to the lesson plan that I honestly believe it doesn't matter which instructor you get! With that said, I especially loved Marty's and Anisa's classes! They are both upbeat, quick on their feet, and break down questions to the bone. If you're not someone who usually speaks up in class (like me!) do it anyways. They were both able to create such safe learning environments that no question was too elementary. The three hour classes just flew by! I took verbal first and then quant, on weekends, and, with working full-time, the course load was definitely manageable. I'm taking the exam again in a couple of months, and my practice exam scores have already jumped. I can't wait for the end result! Testcrackers is definitely a win/win. Strongly recommend it! read more

Martin Cinke was an amazing tutor and created very helpful personalized sessions that improved my overall GRE score significantly. His classes gave me the direction and tools I needed to utilize my independent study time more efficiently. He had a very positive attitude and was very supportive throughout the process. I really enjoyed working with him and would absolutely recommend him as a tutor to anyone looking to improve their verbal or quant scores. read more

My experience at TestCrackers was great and I'm very happy I decided to go with a smaller company for my GRE test prep. Because it is a smaller company, each of the teachers and staff is able to give individualized care, attention, and follow up with you. The teachers are always willing to answer questions you have over e-mail or stay after class. In addition, the office hours that you get as part of the your classes were phenomenal and I would highly recommend. In regards for which teachers to take, I loved both of mine, Kirk (for verbal) and Andrew (for quantitative). I took them at separate times which was nice to spread out the workload. Andrew really helped refresh my math skills and challenged me with new problems. Kirk was amazing! I took the verbal course closer to my GRE test date and she really helped me polish up as the test date approached. One of the most helpful things she did was a week before I was suppose to take the GRE, I took a practice GRE and my score dropped twenty points from what I usually received. I was upset and emailed Kirk. Kirk made time to call me, talk over new test strategies, and help boost my confidence for test day. I ended up receiving my highest score yet on the GRE. This really shows that TestCrackers really cares about you and will help you through it all! read more

I took the GRE Quant course with Marty and the Verbal course with Isaac and they were both great! I've never been good at studying on my own so the courses were great guides that provided the structure/tools/tips I needed. Marty and Isaac were very kind and approachable teachers and helped break down exactly what the GRE was looking for and what approach to take. read more

I took the GMAT quant class with Andrew and verbal class with Kirk at Testcrackers Santa Clara. I received study materials on the day I started classes and had access to unlimited books from the library. I was also given option to reserve study space at their campus if needed (which is fantastic if someone needs a place to study without disturbance)! They scheduled regular office hours every week (outside of class hours) to help with questions. The class is small (12 people), so we received individual attention. Besides, Andrew & Kirk did a fantastic job at engaging the class. Their tips and pointers in both quant and verbal really made a difference in-terms of saving valuable time on the GMAT. We also had short 5 minute breaks at the end of every hour to make sure the class recharged. On the final day of quant class, Andrew bought us all a pizza! Overall I couldn't have asked for a better experience for my GMAT study class. Thanks to Andrew and Kirk, I'm going to my dream school (The Wharton school). I'd highly recommend Testcrackers for anyone who is getting started with the GMAT prep and needs a structured study routine. read more

I received 1-on-1 tutoring from Marty (Martin Cinke). Overall, I would highly recommend him. I achieved a score of 730 (Q48/V42). Most of the time, we did practice problems together, went over concepts I needed to improve on, and he helped me with test strategy. He was also easy to communicate with regarding session scheduling. Good luck to all preparing! read more

Andrew and Kirk were awesome in the quantitative and verbal classes, respectively. They are both extremely knowledgeable and able to articulate complex GMAT problems to their students with ease. With all the tricky questions on the exam you would expect students to constantly ask for clarification on the solution to the problems that we go over in class. But that was not the case. It was not necessary for them to explain any concept more than once because they were so clear the first time even to students who are not native English speakers. I was most impressed with both their high energy level and enjoyment of the subject that they were teaching. They were definitely not just going through the motion which helps when you're taking a class till 9PM in the evening on a weekday and on a Saturday afternoon. read more

Couldn't recommend TestCrackers enough. I graduated from college in '14, and so since I am only now applying for grad school in '18, I felt it was in my best interest to take some Verbal + Quant courses to freshen up before I took the GRE. The results speak for themselves, folks. I read lots of great reviews on yelp for TestCrackers in general, but when choosing teachers I just went with the courses that fit into my 9-5 work schedule, and luckily both teachers were fab. I took Verbal with Kirk and Quant with Marty (Martin). Kirk Schuler helped me bring my decent verbal score of 150 all the way up to 170 by the end of the course. She taught me to think like the test (I'm not traditionally a good standardized test-taker), and that seriously made all the difference. For those new to the GRE: the Verbal section is really unique in how it poses questions and prompts essays. I was an English Major in school, so I was used to responding in a certain way. Kirk taught me how to unlock the "coded" language of the test which 100% prepared me for the real deal. She was also just a cool person to talk to, and knowing how much I wanted to smash the Verbal test, she did all that she could to encourage me towards that goal. As an English Major in school, Quant was then obviously my weak point. Marty Cinke was seriously the nicest guy/teacher--he clearly genuinely loves math (or he fooled me well, ha) and cares about each of his students. Even when the course ended he made sure we knew we could reach out for any help we might need preparing. He wants you to do well, and you get out of his class what you put in. I can't say I ultimately did as well on Quant as I did on Verbal, but I really believe Marty did the best he could with what little math talent I had to offer. If you want to kill your GRE, TestCrackers is great--just be warned that just showing up in class isn't going to get you there. These teachers give you the tools you need to study the right way, and the rest is up to you. Thanks Kirk + Marty! read more

I am so happy that I chose to join Testcrackers! The class sizes are small and so helpful. After a long day at work, it doesn't even feel like a chore to show up. It wasn't until I finished both the Verbal class with Kirk and the Quant class with Andrew that I realized I had done almost every problem in the Official GMAT Guide! I went from a practice score of 610 to an official score of 710 (only took it once). I was scoring as high as 760 on practice tests after their classes and I probably could have gotten a higher score if I took it again, but there was no need. Kirk and Andrew were so helpful and broke everything down in easy to understand ways. Andrew was hilarious and made the class so enjoyable. Plus I left with 5+ free books to use as I please. Overall - 10/10 I highly recommend TestCrackers for those that know they won't have the willpower to study independently. read more

When I first started studying for the GRE I had a lot of testing anxiety. I completely the Verbal class and got a lot of useful tips from Seth. I was motivated to study through the class, even though I was working and taking classes throughout the entire course. Covid hit and they changed the format to all online. While I was excited to take the in person class, Marty was beyond helpful for the Quant section. I was able to complete 4 practice exams through the motivation of the instructors and had lots of outside help, not even during class. On the two days before my exam, I emailed both Seth and Marty and they both responded IMMEDIATELY and helped me through a lot of my anxiety. Seth went through one of my practice exams essays within an hour which was extremely helpful. Marty went through my entire final practice exam comprehensively and wrote lots of feedback at 9pm two days before my exam. This eased a lot of my anxiety and allowed me to go through my test with an expert perspective. I'm so glad that I found this program and I'm very grateful for the help. :) read more

I took the five week GRE quant course with Andrew. In just five weeks my official score improved significantly and boosted me into a competitive range for the programs I'm applying to. My advice: don't waste your time on any other test prep, just stick with these guys. They teach you everything you need to know. Andrew is engaging, helpful, and passionate about helping students learn. Yuri was also very informative and helped me find the right study plan for my goals and busy schedule. I would highly, highly recommend TestCrackers to anyone looking to get a great score on these tests!!! read more

One of my friends recommended that I use Testcrackers for GRE prep, and I came into the class with very low self-confidence in my math and standardized test-taking abilities. From the very first day, I could tell that this class was giving me a lot of that confidence back! I loved how the classes were small enough (mine were 12 students max in the Berkeley location) that all students got enough individual guidance. I took both the Quant and Verbal courses with Anisa, who referred to all of us by our names and never made me feel dumb when I couldn't answer a question. I honestly don't think I've ever had a teacher or professor who cared as much about their students as Anisa did. The class environment really boosted my confidence, and I truly believe that was reflected in my performance. To be fair, I had pre-scheduled my GRE test day as 2 days after the class ended - I likely studied more urgently than the average bear - but I only studied using the resources that were provided by Testcrackers. I ended up improving 11 points on the Quant section from my first practice test before taking the class - a significant enough jump that I didn't need to take the GRE again. I really believe that the practice exams, weekly (and optional daily) homework breakdowns, and testing tips provided by Testcrackers were integral in the improvement that I experienced. Self-studying wouldn't have been enough without the guidance I got from these prep courses. I took the exam in August and am starting to hear back positively from grad schools. Looking back, the classes were undeniably worth the investment. Testcrackers definitely lives up to its name! read more

I took both verbal and quant classes with Test Crackers and both highly exceeded my expectations, largely thanks to the really great teaching staff that they have on board. Lynne (Verbal) was awesome at explaining concepts that can be really tricky for anyone, even those who consider themselves to be good writers or bibliophiles. She maintained a really friendly atmosphere in the class, and genuinely cared about our progress and how this class could help us in achieving our future missions. She has always been happy to answer my questions via email, even months later! Anisa (Quant) was a superb teacher as well. Even though basic math is not something I think about very often, I really thought her class was fun. I learned a lot and I feel prepared to take the quant sections of the GRE, whereas before I would have been at a loss having not taken math since high school. They are right to imply that the test can be cracked. It's true, and these classes transform the daunting task of taking the GRE into something exceedingly simple. There are tips and tricks that really make the difference in understanding how the test works, how it tries to trick you, and how best to see right through that. With the right mentality, it actually becomes fun. Many thanks to them! read more

My understanding of GMAT material expanded exponentially after taking the TestCrackers GMAT class. Andrew Pappin was my Quant instructor, and his understanding of the various questions types and the ability to easily explain them to the entire class was exceptional. The same goes for my Verbal instructor, Lynne Zummo! As many of you know, the verbal portion of the GMAT exam is very tricky. So any small tips and tricks to more simply break the information down is HUGE for your success. Lynne did a wonderful job of providing these tips and tricks for the class. My practice exam scores improved every time I took them, and I can confidently say Andrew (quant) and Lynne (Verbal) and the entire TestCrackers team was a huge reason for my continuous improvement! Thanks everyone! -Michael read more

After a 5+ year tumultuous on-and-off relationship with the GMAT, I am elated to finally be writing this review. I had taken TC's verbal and quant courses a few years ago but looking back now I didn't put enough effort into completing the assigned homework or utilizing office hours effectively. I tried self-study in early 2020 with the TC materials I still had and sat for the online GMAT in September that year, but fell 40 points short of my goal score. After getting a call from the only MBA program I applied to in mid-December asking if I would be willing to retake the exam to improve my score a bit more, I called Yuri in a panic because I had just under 4 weeks to get back into study mode and to execute in the official exam. We decided that a tutoring package with Seth would be a good path forward. Seth and I met a couple times a week where he would provide extremely valuable feedback on my weak areas that were definitely blind spots for me and in between our sessions I would spend 6 to 8 hours each day reviewing TC lectures and completing homework problems. The one thing that I think really helped me in the end was Seth's guidance to complete a full length practice exam every 3 to 4 days. This allowed me to become less anxious about clicking the start button each and every time I completed one. Ultimately, I was able to achieve the 40 point improvement I needed to earn acceptance into the program I applied to in round 1. Thank you, Seth, Yuri, and the rest of the TC team! read more

I took the GRE Quant class with Andrew. It was an incredibly engaging and Andrew broke down the key concepts in a clear and concise way. The weekly homework assignments helped me to practice the lessons and overall I would highly recommend this class and instructor. Great "customer service" as well from Yuri. Thank TestCrackers! read more

I had originally signed up for another GMAT prep course without doing much research on what options were available in the Bay Area. The other GMAT program cancelled our course the week before it was supposed to start. Learning my lesson, I researched and found that TestCrackers was the most highly rated course (and for good reason!) in the Bay. I signed up for the TestCrackers GMAT Quant course with Andrew in the Santa Clara location. Classes were helpful with all the tips provided. We were encouraged, but not pressured, to participate in class. And Andrew managed to keep evening classes light-hearted, but also effective. He encouraged us to work collaboratively as a group. And our class group has even stayed in touch after the course ended to study together. All of the instructors really want to help out the students and they also offer to help after the course is done. I highly recommend TestCrackers Quant with Andrew! read more

The best GMAT review course I've completed. The first course I attended some time ago only focused on improving my pacing by completing problems faster. That only helped me increase my score into the lowest acceptable score for competitive MBA programs. For a PhD program, you can't apply to any of the competitive programs without a minimum 700 score. The tips that both Anisa and Seth provided in class and the homework review sessions pushed me into that range. They taught me a better way to beat the algorithm scoring system and push well beyond any of my previous practice scores. As a perfectionist who needs to answer every single question, their techniques were difficult to embrace. Once I let go of my tendencies, their techniques worked for every practice test and the official practice tests from MBA.com were very close to my final official score. I recommend this review course without any hesitation. Knowing how to solve all the questions isn't enough unless you spend years mastering speed testing techniques. The tips here solved this issue within six months, but I had to continually practice and study during all this time to master the techniques provided by Anisa and Seth. read more

I worked with Marty for GMAT prep, and he helped me increase my score by 50 points. Would highly recommend him to anyone struggling with any section read more

Great test prep company and strongly recommend. I had Isaac for my verbal course and Marty for my Quant course. Both were great teachers who really cared and wanted us to succeed. They would even sometimes stay after class to help me with some problems which they didn't have to do. Yuri is also great and helped me with personal plans with my Quant goals. Overall great company and if you want the tools to succeed along with people helping you throughout the journey, TestCrackers is the way to go. read more

A few years back I took the Magoosh program online. It was okay, but I found myself lacking the engagement that an in-person class gives you. TestCrackers do a great job ensuring you've got the basics, and then deeper levels of knowledge. You'll learn tips & tricks, fundamentals, as well as advice on how to approach each question. I am heading into my second GMAT exam with much more confidence, and assuredly a much better score. Special shout out to Seth and Anisa - they are great teachers. Seth has a real knack for working you through Math problems; it's a refreshing way to learn. read more

I recently finished both the GRE Quant and Verbal classes with Marty and Anisa, and both instructors were fantastic. I would recommend testcrackers to anyone, it is by far the most efficient way to study for the test. I expected topics like "sentence equivalence" and "linear inequalities" to be boring, but Anisa and Marty did a great job making the content accessible. I also found both classes to be a perfect mix of "theory" and "test strategy". The real reason this course gets 5 stars is because the team seems genuinely interested in having you succeed. They are available by email, over the phone and offer free office hours to students. Included in the course cost are snacks and access to any extra materials you might need. They really go beyond just the class to help you reach your target score. read more

I took the GRE verbal and quant prep courses with Isaac (verbal) and Marty (quant). I also attended quant tutoring hours on a bi weekly basis with Yuri. The TestCrackers team is incredibly responsive and caring. They do this full time (many other GRE prep institutes don't) and really care about their students' success. I worked with Marty for private tutoring as well in both quant and verbal and he helped me improve my score and also boosted my confidence. I highly recommend TestCrackers and Marty in particular! read more

This place is 340% worth it! I took the combo class, and I highly recommend it if you're looking to improve your accuracy and speed. My background: I'm weak at vocabulary, reading comprehension, writing essays, and basically anything not math. In terms of math, I can do regular math, not this weird GRE math. My diagnostic was a 157 Q, 156 V. After the course, I took the GRE once and got 164 Q, 165 V, and 6.0 Analytical Writing. Seth's Verbal course was exactly what I needed. Strategies to approach the material, analyze what I got wrong, study tips I would not have thought of, and even tips on what to eat. You can tell that he is passionate about the material. The little suggestions like outlining an essay or two everyday really paid off. I used the flashcards that came with the course materials on hikes. I only got through about a quarter of them, but it was still enough to significantly impact my score. The essay portion was incredibly useful, the breakdown of how to write a strong outline and flesh it out. Marty's Quant course helped in a different way. I was pretty familiar with all the material, but I was not efficient with my use of time. He helped me feel more confident in my foundation and taught me many shortcuts, especially with Geometry. If you are weak in Math, need help with pacing, or want better consistency, this course will help you. Overall, this class was a godsend. Convenient timings, small class sizes, INCREDIBLE teachers, great course materials, and an efficient use of your time. I'm taking the MCAT now (haha), and CARS (verbal equivalent) is my strongest subject on the diagnostic - purely as a result of this course. When applying to MS programs, the GRE was something I didn't need to worry about. Great feeling. read more

I took the Quantitative Course for the GRE with Marty. Honestly, it was the best decision I made. I have always been warned not to pay for a Test Prep course, but after reading the reviews on Yelp, I took a chance. From the first class to the last, Marty was great at breaking down quantitative questions to make them more approachable. I felt more comfortable with quantitative reasoning to the extent that when I looked back at a quant problem, I just couldn't believe I was actually attempting to answer it and actually getting the right answer! Before I would just skip or guess on a majority of quantitative questions. Marty was super patient with any question a student had and definitely enjoyed what he did. Everyone that works at TestCrackers cares about their students. I am now taking the Verbal Course with Seth and I am already seeing value of the class. I highly recommend this course to anyone who wants to do well on the GRE or GMAT. It's well worth it! read more

I finished the Verbal and Math prep section for the GRE with Anisa and I am extremely happy to have decided to enroll in the TestCrackers courses! On top of being outstandingly qualified and professional, Anisa is very very approachable, affable, friendly, concerned with and interested to help all her students in the best manner possible. She addresses every question, unclarity, comments, concerns with a smile, great attitude and promptly. She has an awesome energy and very kind personality which is so helpful when going through challenging material and what could be an overwhelming studying journey. I am grateful , satisfied and really recommend the TestCrackers way to prepare for your exams! UPDATE: I was very successful with all the 3 parts of the GRE when I took the exam right after attending /completing the courses with Testcrackers' team. I only took the exam once and for first time then and got into my grad school and program of choice. Much attribution given to the TC team's guidance and prep help for my acceptance into the program I am now happily attending to pursue a Psy.D (doctoral of psychology degree.) Thank you again so so much!!! read more

I would definitely recommend TestCrackers to anyone looking for GMAT prep, and I wish I worked with them sooner. The TestCrackers study materials have been really helpful in breaking down concepts that I previously struggled with- even when I was using other test prep services. Marty worked with me as a 1-1 tutor; he was communicative and easy to schedule with, provided me with really valuable overall test-taking strategies, and most importantly, helped me bump up my quant score to where it needed to be! read more

I believe the five star reviews are well deserved. I have taken the GRE FIVE times. (I know, I spent so much on that dang test) I took the GRE 3 times before the course. The first, I didn't study. Second time I studied but not as much I should have. 3rd time, I got an online tutor. I was scoring a 152 when I needed a 153 minimum and scoring a 142 in quant when I needed a 144. After this attempt, I had to seek out other options. I spoke to Yuri who was not pushy at selling the course at all. He even said if I was so close I could just take quant because I could definitely raise my score there with the class. I had Marty for quant and Kirk for verbal. They were both amazing teachers and would definitely recommend. I was even driving an hour there to Santa Clara and back home to the Monterey Bay Area just for the course. Quant: Marty was very welcoming and kept the class very lively. He does call on you, but will walk you through it if you don't understand. The techniques just to get through the test were so helpful. I was able to get my score from a 142 to 148 which I think is a great achievement for myself. Verbal: Kirk was very open to answering any questions and super supportive. I told her my dilemma and she had advised me to do more flashcards as I was so close to my score. The course goes over the main questions that will come up such as verbal and specific reading comp questions. I took the test four days after and still got a 152, but I took it again a month later and was able to get a 155! I was in shock! Things to consider: 1. There's a lot of homework. If you don't have the time (I was not working and was 100% all in GRE studying so I had time for it) 2. There were people (mind out of 12) who seemed like they already high scores and when they were called to answer a question, they were already working ahead. This was slightly annoying because some people (like myself) needed to really focus on what we were working on, so please don't be that person. 3. The pace is really fast, especially for quant. If you're like me in the 140's range it can be a little daunting, but Marty will go over any questions and I never felt like I couldn't ask. 4. They recommend taking the test four to six weeks after the class, and I would definitely do it in this timeframe. I took it four days after since I was so close to my scores I needed, but only raised my quant. When I took it a month later, I was able to raise my verbal score which I was more focused on. All in all: The price is expensive for the courses. However, if you're like me and don't do well with online tutoring/on your own, this course will definitely do it. There's only twelve in each class, so you have a lot of chances to ask questions. I didn't know how this could differ from tutoring, but they are specifically GRE/GMAT experts so they can give you insight compared to other tutors/classes. They also provide study materials, snacks, and office hours. They even will help after the class is over if you reach out. I honestly never thought I would get the scores I needed and even took off work for five months to pass the test, and I think Marty and Kirk definitely helped to get there! read more

I decided to take Testcrackers after another student recommended their course. I'm glad I did!! I selected the GRE Quant+ Verbal bundle, taking the verbal class first. I am glad I did because I was able to continue learning words while studying quant. I followed Testcracker's advice and suggestions for just about every step of the process. In short, their program works. Both my instructors followed the curriculum (which is great) and had complimentary teaching styles. I had Kirk for verbal. She is funny and extremely patient. She was particularly adept at explaining why my multiple choice answers were incorrect, helping me understand the strategy behind the test. I did extremely well in verbal and the essay. I had Andrew for quant. He is also very funny and creative when explaining questions. Math can be difficult for me and I felt like he always had time to make sure we understood the strategy. My husband is excellent in math but struggled to answer GRE questions quickly enough. This program is geared towards teaching you how to drive down to the best answer as quickly as possible. I strongly recommend taking this program if you have trouble following a rigorous study plan on your own and you are willing to commit to the homework. It's not that it's hard, it just takes time and repetition to master the strategies. read more

TestCrackers GRE prep exceeded my expectations! I had Vocab with Kirk and Quant with Andrew, both are excellent, very talented instructors. TestCrackers prep courses are worth every penny, without a doubt. I'm so glad I found this course! read more

I had my GMAT verbal class with Seth and my quant class with Isaac. For starters, I was really on the fence about taking classes online and over zoom. Would it be interactive enough, would the communication be seamless, would the lesson plans work well over zoom? Seth and Isaac squashed these qualms from the get-go. The class was organized and the lesson plans were amazingly well-planned. They had clearly spent the time and effort to hone their curriculum for the rigors of the exam. Both teachers were highly engaging, extremely knowledgeable about the exam content, and had great personalities in general! They do a roundtable style of participation, going from one student to the next to work through problems. They are super patient and have the ability to adapt their teaching approach to cater to each student's ability. They have clearly been teaching for a while and understand that it's not a one size fits all situation. This kept every student active in the discussion and a seemingly long three hour class would just fly by. Office hours were held twice a week (once for each verbal/quant) to field questions from that week's hw or any other gmat content such as practice exams/older OG sources. They were really helpful in addressing weak spots and picking the instructor's brain on the best problem solving approaches. General advice: These guys know what they're doing and actually care about your performance! I've had numerous discussions with each instructor asking how to enhance my personal performance and how to best tailor my study plan. In all, they've gone above and beyond to get me to my target score at a much faster pace than if I had been at it by myself. The structure of their curriculum provides a proven path to success (as long as you're willing to put in the work outside of class, too). If you want the most efficient path to your goal, I highly recommend going the TestCrackers route! read more

Life changing. This review is for Marty. He is simply one of the best teachers I've ever had. I'd tried other tutors, programs, books, but nothing came close to the experience I had with Marty. After exhausting days at work, I usually came to class completely drained, but Marty's energy, enthusiasm, and knowledge pumped me up and made learning verbal and math concepts fun. I felt like I was playing a game that I kept getting better and better at. If you're hesitant, fearful, or overwhelmed, don't worry. Marty is your guy, and he'll help you get over the hill. Thanks to his guidance, the GMAT is nowhere near as intimidating as it once was for me. The small class format and Test Crackers system is well designed. My classmates were awesome. TL;DR: Make the best decision you can make preparing for grad school admissions and take this class. read more

Last day of my quant course and it is a bittersweet feeling. I took the GRE verbal course with Seth and just finished the quant course with Marty. Both are excellent instructors and love what they do. They have a lot of patience and truly care about their students. I was excited to go to each class. There are a lot of GMAT and GRE prep classes to choose from and I'm glad I decided to go with TestCrackers. Their class sizes are kept small, which creates an intimate environment to help you feel comfortable. I would note that they regularly call on students to answer questions in class. At first this can be intimidating, however they walk you through each step. You will still need to study hard and do the homework. I would also suggest creating study groups. I met classmates that become my friends through TestCrackers. P.S. Donuts on the last day :) read more

I absolutely recommend Test Crackers for GRE prep! I came in not knowing anything at all about the exam, but Yuri and Seth were so incredibly helpful that by the end of the class I felt like an expert. On test day I was confident that I could master the exam and I ended up getting exactly what my goal score was! The class definitely challenges you to put in the time and work it takes to do well on standardized tests which I felt I needed. Absolutely worth the money. They are friendly, encouraging, hilarious, and extremely helpful. Class was engaging and informative. You can tell that Seth and Yuri really care about helping their students, and that was very refreshing. There were people of all skill levels and they accommodated us all! 100% recommend this class for anyone taking the GRE. You won't regret it! read more

Can I just say that the teachers here are amazing? I'm currently enrolled in verbal with Anisa and quant with Martin. They are both super intelligent, understanding, and patient. From the first class I felt so much more confident in taking the test than I thought I ever would. I think Anisa said she has been teaching the test for 7 years? You can tell she is super experienced and knowledgeable, as well as passionate about teaching. Martin makes even the most complex quant problems possible by breaking them down and working with everyone in the class. I thought I would dread studying for the GRE but they make all the questions seem much more approachable. I'm really glad I chose testcrackers and not an online course. They also provide you with loads of studying material, physical and online. This course is definitely worth it if you're on the fence and serious about graduate school. read more
