Mark is patient, kind, compassionate, very structured, and easily works with my crazy schedule. I highly recommend Bay Area Math for tutoring if you desire an approachable, knowledgeable, patient, honest, and kind tutor to help you accomplish your academic goals.

I was really scared to prepare for the GRE, but the class definitely gave me all the direction and help I needed to feel like I could take down this test. The teachers are super empathetic and encouraging and I genuinely had fun in these classes. I was originally worried about it being impersonal since it was on zoom, but the classes were so interactive! I felt engaged throughout the whole class (and they are 3 hours). A month after the verbal course ended, Marty reached out to see how I was doing and took the time to review my practice exams and give me direction on how I can improve on my essays/timing. Andrew took the time to meet with me after the quant class ended to go over my study plan, sending me extra resources and taking time out of his own schedule to give me that extra boost. It's scary ending the class and being on your own, but they did such a great job providing extra support I feel confident I can achieve my goal score. For the quant course there are office hours available too, which are great for getting individual questions answered. Yuri is running most of those now and he's so helpful, plus a pun master. You'll roll your eyes at some jokes, but you'll also be learning tricks of the trade from the GRE master :-). The teachers really care about their students and it makes me so glad I chose to sign up! If you're hesitating, I say you should go for it! You won't regret it!

My son attended Engenious Tutoring for about half of the last school year. At the time, he was…read morestruggling with Common Core math, as well as writing skills. Overall, the tutoring was helpful, but I do wish there had been better communication from the instructors regarding his progress and areas that needed improvement. One of the highlights of the program was an instructor named Trenton. My son connected with him right away, and Trenton was excellent at communicating with both students and parents. When he left, my son was very disappointed, as he had built a strong rapport with him and looked forward to their sessions. While there were positive aspects to the program, I believe stronger communication with parents would have made the experience even better.

My daughter was really struggling in her honors precalculus class. She had a low D at midterm and…read morewas feeling completely overwhelmed. We found Engenius at a critical moment, and I couldn't be more grateful. From the start, Mike (the owner) impressed me with his deep knowledge of the local high school's curriculum -- and even the specific teaching style of her math instructor. He quickly put together a plan to get her back on track, and it worked. Justin, her tutor, was fantastic. He explained complex concepts in a way that made sense to her and helped rebuild her confidence along the way. Mike also offered practical tips for how she could adjust her study habits at home, which made a big difference. By the end of the semester, she had raised her grade to a C+--just shy of a B. We decided to continue tutoring into the next term, and she finished the class with an A. I can't recommend Engenius enough. They truly turned things around for her.

I took a two-day CSM course from Cprime, held in a Learn iT! conference room (San Francisco)…read more The instructor, Aakash Srinivasan, was both knowledgeable and entertaining, which made for a very effective class. There was a good mix of hands-on activity, individual exercise, and lecture. Aakash's colorful flip-charts were especially helpful. The course did more than enough to prepare us for the certification exam. The course description advertised light breakfast being provided half an hour beforehand (from 8:30 to 9:00). Bit of a sinking feeling when we arrived at the Learn iT! lobby and were pointed to water and coffee. At some point a box of Noah's Bagels and cream cheese arrived unannounced, but I was already preparing myself for starvation mode. (Having learned my lesson day 1, I picked up breakfast on my way day 2.) Our instructor was expecting 30, maybe 31 students... and we ended up having 32. He had only been given materials (handbooks) for 30, so he had to call Cprime to print more booklets and drop them off. (I'm not sure how Cprime could flub that, honestly... isn't registration all done in advance?) Lunch was plentiful, catered from Bamboo Asia both days. Two trays of rice, one tray of chicken, one tray of tofu, and sides for the class of 32. (Sadly the salad dressing was absent the second day.) One nice touch was that warm Otis Spunkmeyer chocolate chip cookies appeared in the lobby each afternoon. The facility was just so-so, but the instruction was spot-on. Bit pricey if your employer isn't sponsoring your course.

My class was taught my Jim Schiel, a veteran SCRUM demi-God who was dynamic, personable and best of all experienced. He charismatically answered all our questions, made us think in ways we never expected, and made two days of training feel like only a few hours. cPrime was extremely gracious about snacks, breaks and facility amenities, too, making sure we had what we needed to stay focused and engaged. I definitely considering taking more courses with them, and I highly recommend you do the same.

They have a good program and the quality of their SAT prep classes are very good. I am a bit concerned that they don't offer as many enrichment classes and they are not really classes as they are tutorials during the academic year. We are used to the enrichment classes. If your child has a teacher in school that doesn't teach well, there is very little you can do at Flex as there are classes helping you with questions but not teaching per se. Also the enrollment is limited and if you sign up for the all in one package, you would expect to have the availability but the classes fill up fast. We love our college counselor; Dan Kwon. He is the best we have had so far. Great character, sense of humor and knows how to reach out to the students at a level they can connect.
