There are not enough superlatives to express our gratitude to all of the fine people at Oregon…read moreMotorcoach Center!
Under the ownership and direction of Matt and Elaina Carr, this facility is a customer's dream! We recently purchased a 2000 County Coach Magna. She is a bit long in the tooth, but our dream coach none the less.
We embarked on our maiden/shakedown journey on July 15th. To our dismay our aged Dometic refrigerator took her last gasp outside of San Antonio, Tx, on our 3rd day of our 9 week trip! I made an appointment for service with Oregon Motorcoach Center for August 22nd, knowing that that was soonest we'd be able to get there. I then tried to locate a suitable replacement for the refrigerator and decided that we'd also replace the microwave, which worked perfectly but was losing bits and pieces with every mile traveled. After many attempts to locate units that would be available for delivery on our arrival date, I settled on an independent appliance dealer in Eugene called Kelly's Appliances (wonderful place!; product knowledge, and delivered as promised to Oregon Motorcoach as promised on Aug.21st. Thank you Kory!) But I digress...anyway, during the next 5 weeks of travel a multitude of issues arose, none critical, but all in need of attention upon our arrival. The issues in order of occurance were:
1. Coolant leak requiring that we add 1/2 gallon of same every morning or 350 miles.
2. Dash A/C blower motors (2) seized on our way out of Texas so no dash air.
3. Installation of motor and drive shaft for the passenger seat foot rest. My feet were dangling for 5 weeks.
4. Installation of a backup camera as well as a functional GPS navigation system.
5. Instalation of a digital antenna for both of the smart TVs
6. Replace all of the rear sockets for the tail lights - only one on each side worked.
7. Installation of a new black water gate - found to be functional without replacement.
8. Replacement of both of the plumbing fixtures in the kitchen and bathroom vanity.
9. Replacement of stove cover (broken by the dealer prior to our taking posession) with a beautiful bamboo cutting board - much more functional and much less fragile.
10. Replacement of the toilet seat, so we didn't slide off!
11. And finally, as of this morning, just prior to our departure, the handle on the electric toilet refused to work.
All that being said, I simply must thank each person who worked so tirelessly to get us back on the road - in order of contact - Brenda, the lovely lady, who helped make the appointment and facilitated the delivery of the appliances; Arlene, our dear friend from the Country Coach days, an ever smiling face who welcomed us with open arms; Jim Cooley, Master schedular/forman/and all around miricle worker; Glenn, the wizard who installed the refrigerator, toilet seat and handle as if they had been original equipment; David, who gave us the news that our radiator was fine and that the issue was the coolant pump and nothing more as well as the dash a/c only needed replacement motors - the rest was fine; Bart, who faught the good fight with our plumbing and WON; John, who installed the the GPS and backup camera, enabling us to see where we had been and get where we are going; Jim, who fixed the booboo, and finally thank you too, to the gentleman who made the cutting board in a day.
We are forever grateful for your professionalism, your kindness, your care, and infinite patience with customers like us who are forever finding "just one more thing".
THANK YOU! See you next year.
