I'm pretty annoyed. Walked in, yes no one was available but zero greetings or acknowledgment. So I went to the service department and asked the guy what do I do and how do I check in for my appointment. He was so kind to go in the back and then came up to let me know someone will be with me. I don't remember the guy that helped us but his answer to everything was "it's on the app, well it's in the app, it should be on the app". Look here dude, I have looked on the app and I have attempted, that's why I'm asking you. Anyways, he couldn't figure out why he was unable to deliver the car to us and he made me get out of the app, refresh the app, and even sign onto my account on their computer. In the end, he still said on his side it's showing something needs to be completed on my end on the app. At this point I just gave the guy my phone and told him to have fun. I felt he did not care or at least his cop out answer to everything was essentially "go to the app and don't talk to me". He even asked me if I had found my car yet. No, because I can't access anything nor did I drive around and snooped. It was dark. He ended up needing help from someone above him and the guy just told him to manually deliver the car to me otherwise we'll be there all night because that's all they needed and it's not showing up for some reason I will tell you I was pretty irritated dealing with sheer lack of professionalism. I guess it's not needed when they're not commission based? But at this point it was borderline incompetence because his answer was always go to the app or it's on the app versus "here let me show you on the app". No brand new car pictures, no do you kneed anything else, just nothing. When the other person had me signed his phone to release the car to me, they walked me to the front where the cyber truck was and said here's your car and they walked back in. Honestly one of the worst experiences I've ever had at a car dealership. But hey at least they had refreshments and it was clean. read more

Atrocious, awful, terrible, unethical and incompetent "service" department I had an interior incident (household batteries that I was taking to a recycling center melted down), which required the front passenger seat to be replaced, along with some other items and services to restore it. Almost EIGHT WEEKS later I have my car back. It was returned to me FILTHY, with far more dirt on the outside vs. when I brought it in, and the interior (for which we paid $300 line-item "cleaning" service) was disgusting and smelly. They didn't even clean the windows. You'd think they could at least run it through a $10 car wash, but no, they were fine sending me off in a foul car. If it weren't painful, time-consuming and stressful, I'd call their service department a clown show. But it was insanely ridiculous how this service was managed. So many lies, delays, and deceptions. Ongoing disrespect. Terrible communications throughout the process. It's as if they are TRAINED to treat their customers badly. NOT ONLY THAT. My insurance paid them directly. Then Tesla service charged my credit card for the FULL AMOUNT, committing INSURANCE FRAUD. Now I am in the tedious process of retrieving what I (over)paid to Tesla. This experience was so bad that I am 100% certain that I will never purchase or recommend anything Tesla again. They loose my family's entire life's worth of future car purchases. Not to mention the repellant behavior of Tesla's disgusting CEO, but that's another discussion. In fact, we recently purchased battery back-up for our home solar panels. I did not request a bid from any provider that sells Tesla batteries. We ended up with Franklin, and we're happy with the choice. So that's at least $20k that Tesla lost as a result of our experience at the Reno Tesla service department. I mentioned my experience at a detailing shop, and the owner told me that the Reno Tesla service department has a terrible reputation, all the way from the management leadership down. They just do not care about customer service. It's really too bad. I actually really like the car itself. But I hate the company and I hate the service department, so it's hard to love the car. I hope my experience helps others make a better decision. Because Tesla service requires using a Tesla shop (and giving money to Musk), I'd definitely think twice--or more--before making any purchase there. I'll be looking elsewhere. read more

Overall I've had a good experience with this dealership. I've done test drives and ultimately bought a Tesla. Buying was easy as we were able to buy online. No need to wait hours like a regular dealership. Pick up of my car was easy as well. We showed up, wait was minimal, spoke with a representative and was given the key cards. I've also experienced their service center as I've had a good experience as well. I had a flat tire on my way to work one morning, reached out to the representative through the app, and was able to get towed to the service center, and they had tires available to be placed same day. read more

Scheduled a test drive for Model Y, showed up 30 minutes early, arrived at the front desk, and checked in, they had the keys ready and walked be me through the basics on the Model Y. The model Y is bigger then Model 3. It's very spacious, the day of the test drove, outside temperature was scorching hot, triple digits, as I walked to the car, the car was already running, it was remotely turned on, once I approached the car, the AC was already on, it was nice and cool, it's cold enough that you don't want it leave the car on a hot summer days. Test drove the car, I don't have any complaint for model y. The customer service is friendly and out going, they did introduced me to other line ups in the show room, Model 3, model y, model X, and model S. read more

Wow! I'm impressed. Daniela (service department) really made me feel safe, taken care of, transparent, honest, and valued. She was really pleasant. I'm here on vacation from the Bay Area with my family. My 12V battery went out. I called Tesla and they were booked for the next week but since my repair was not hard and could be done quick, she was able to fit me in the next day. The pricing for a dealership was really good. She reassured me that I could drive some small amount of time on the bad 12V battery so I felt a little more safe. When I got there, they had my car done in about 15 minutes. I have to say this was probably the best experience I've ever had with a dealership and I've had a lot of cars. Thank you Tesla for making my day better!!! read more

I can't say enough good things about the service center. And special thanks for Dana and their technicians. We are on a weekend ski trip from SF when I found 2 of my 4 tires punctured by nails. Although ok to drive short distance, but it scares me to drive back with 2 punctured tires over the sierra in the evening in bad weather. Most tire shops are closed for the weekend and I was lucky to find this service center right off freeway. Dana greeted me the moment I walked into the store and he is very kind and helpful, after sensing my desperation, he tried to talk to the technicians and gave me a realistic estimate and promised me their best effort. The tires were fix in time, communication was great, and I was to see relieved that we can drive over the sierra before another snow hits the mountain! Thank you so much to Dana and team. WOW . Where do I begin. We have owned three Tesla's. We sent our adult kids there to get a car. They were lied to and misled multiple times by sales staff. They were pressured to sign the agreement on the app which did not match the verbal agreement they had in person as to the payment and financing when they ordered the car. Then when they had an appt to come in and sign after work, they found out they sold their car they put a deposit on to someone else. We will never buy or refer anyone to this brand ever again. We are writing this stellar review for the service team and especially Jennifer our service rep. We were on vacation in Reno from the Bay Area and our AC died in 100*F + heat. We could not get home driving that far and Jennifer and the Reno service team ensured we had a safe ride home and that our car was fixed good as new. Absolutely horrible customer service. Walked in for a test drive on TWO occasions and nobody greeted me. The individual behind a laptop looked at me once when he took my ID for a copy before I was given a key to the vehicle. They pointed to the car in a vague direction and said the white one. I found the car and that was the last time I saw anyone willing to help me. I had questions about the plans and options in the vehicle. I would not recommend this location to ANYONE! I was hesitant in going electric. We test drive the Tesla Model Y and it was such a smooth ride, very comfortable. Went back for a second test drive before placing our order. I drop by the Tesla showroom from time to time to see the latest tech. They have like the new model Y. This last time I finally took the test drive of the Tesla Cybertruck. I had been resisting taking the test drive because I was afraid I would like it too much and get ahead of myself financially. this based on the highly positive reviews of people talking about the cyber truck on X. The friendly rep overcame my resistance, and I was soon piloting the polyhedron around the block, ascending a steep learning curve as I never even driven a air suspension car, let alone the one and only with four wheel steering and steer by wire. I'm not sure about this particular showroom, but I understand Tesla is offering 48 hour loaners of most role of their vehicles, including the new Model Y, the refresh of the best selling car in the world. During my test drive, I didn't get a chance to enable FSD, the hands-free automatic driving. It wasn't available on the Cybertruck until about the middle of last year and its performance still doesn't match that of FSD on the Model Y, although I'm sure I would still trust it way over my own driving Next visit I'll try it. read more

Test drove a Model 3 and it was so much fun! I think the key is calling ahead and making an appointment. This was my second experience with a Tesla location and luckily DJ was my representative. DJ was super patient, answered all my questions and even helped me find a car in California. If you don't know where to even to even start when it comes to Teslas, I highly reccomend making an appointment with DJ. I know the reviews are all over the board when it comes to these cars and retail locations but I really like the Reno location. Highly reccomend over the Rocklin one. read more

Review for the service center. This is coming from a Tesla Owner since 2017. I've been coming here for service since they opened. Prior to this one opening, I've been going to Sacramento for service and I would take Reno service over Sacramento anytime. While I would not buy tires from Tesla, they definitely are not able to compete with Les Schwab -they will charge you extra to have them rotated and rebalanced. However, all the other service has been great. Francis is an amazing human! Hope they keep him for as long as I drive a Tesla. I had an issue with my parking brake, and while at first, the mechanic didn't agree that that was the issue, they still ended up, listening to me and replacing the correct part. I think the situation was something they used to seeing, but they ended up listening to the customer. And the customer was right. :) read more

I ordered a car on December 25 and was admitted to the hospital on the 27th. I never got to drive the car prior to my wife picking it up because they were calling her every day and she felt harassed by the dealership. She thought she had to purchase the car because we had ordered it. I did not find out until after the fact when I returned from the hospital that they sold me a 2023 vehicle and delivered it on December 28. I would never have accepted a 2023 had I known prior to delivery. When I did drive the car, I was dissatisfied with the vehicle. I was unaware how badly the battery is affected by the cold. I reached out to the dealer when the car only had a few miles on it to find out if I could sell it back at a loss and was told sorry they could not help me. in general, I feel they took advantage of my wife and myself while I was in the hospital by pushing the sale. read more

I have an issue with my outside temperature sensor on a 2021 Model Y; it is always wrong and never changes, even after a reload (currently the outside temperature is indicated as -40 Celsius). I made a service appointment for June 18th at 10am. Twice, on June 11th and June 15th, I received messages via the app reminding me of the appointment. On June 17th I received a message via the app indicating that the service - which realistically should only take 1-2 hours - might not complete until 6PM (meaning an estimate of 8 hours to complete the service). It also indicated my appointment was not eligible for courtesy transportation. On June 18th at 10am I arrived to drop off my vehicle; I was intending to stay at the center while the service was being completed. The service rep instructed me when checking in that the backlog in service meant that the car would not be finished until Friday, June 20th. Without advanced warning - I live 60 miles away, in North Lake Tahoe, and only own the Tesla so leaving the car there for 2 days was not an option. Proficient scheduling of service should be paramount - you can't surprise customer's in this way without giving them appropriate warning. They failed the most basic requirement for Service. read more

Are you serious, ruined my day , wasted my time driving out here to not have the car available and try to ask me to test drive a 3 instead. Such bull crap. What kind of customer service is this. Updated thoughts about our Reno Tesla service center. It seems that some Tesla dealers around the country get bad reviews and some are great. I think it comes down to where you live. In high density population cities, they seem real busy and maybe service is not so great. In the Reno location, I have had nothing but spectacular service for my model X. After visiting there about 3-4 times during the last 3 years, they have been fast, efficient, and friendly. On one occasion they replaced both of my front half-shafts (for free) due to minor vibration when accelerating hard. Once was for routine free maintenance inspection, and once to get a spare key fob programmed for the car. The facility front show area is very bare, but has a couple cars on display. Also are some displays of major components that go into making the car. Also, it is hard to find even with GPS as it is in the back area corner behind some other buildings. As for the car itself. Expensive, yet I never want to ever drive another car again if I can avoid it. read more

Buying a new car can be a daunting experience. I'm not the most knowledgeable person when it comes to buying/selling cars, or even just cars in general. At Tesla the concept of simplicity makes it extremely easy even for those like me to figure out finances and everything that comes with purchasing a new vehicle. I didn't have the best first experience here, but my second time back with Jeb sold me on finally getting an electric vehicle. With the environment in shambles, it's really the best time to make the switch. The location is quite small and is more of a showroom/ service center than a regular dealership and is overall super minimalistic. All the current models for sale are available to view and you're able to schedule test drives. The only negative would have to be the location as it is in a hidden business space next to Winco that can be difficult to find. read more

We purchased a Model Y from this dealership. When you are spending $70000 they will tell you anything including how great the warranty is when you ask about extending your warranty which isn't an option. Well we bought the car and soon after driving it found that a ticking sound was coming from the front left dash area. We notified Tesla and the service call to our house never happened. Even though there was another service call for a screen issue. This car is an expensive piece of crap just like the service we received. It's not about being charged $180 for a repair that upsets me, it's being lied to and not taken care of when you spend so much money. Can you imagine if 6 months after buying a car they lower the price by over $10000, it just gets better with this company. Buyer beware with this company. read more

Beware big time. First time Tesla owner model 3. AC has never cooled the car since day one. Looking on the web found out this is a well known problem and some have had 3 ac replaced in 10,000 miles. I bought my 2018 x third party dealer. First time I drive through wash the back passenger door was gushing water. I got an estimate for diagnostic. It was initially $299, then $100, then $200. Which was all strange. The pickup was weird key was locked inside so it took a learning curve but I figured it out how to unlock with the app and start it. I never got a tutorial the associate Brian said he would send. Upon picking up my car I was a bit disappointed they didn't even charge or wash it. I know several other high end service auto shops at least wash. read more

They will tell you on very last day that they don't have parts. I can't understand why they don't order parts when service appointment is made. Service appointments are made 7-10 days in advance. Then you have to wait again for 7 fays for more because they will order parts on the day they have appointment and will notify you like 5 mins before you are expecting them read more

I got a flat tire. Service wants to put on all new tires after 8,600 miles. Stating that it's my driving and the service representative was arguing with me about that being normal. It's not normal to need new tires every 4 months. read more

Unfortunately, a golf ball broke the top glass of my model S. Scheduled an appointment with this service center. Dropped the car off as scheduled and confirmed to find out a couple of hours later they didn't have the correct glass. My husband even send a picture of the glass needed and they confirmed. I reserved a Tesla Y, reservation number RN115577770 on August 29th 2021 for a lease. My insider sales Adviser was Ryan McClain, very helpful sales person.  My Tesla was supposed to be delivered in November 2021, then it was delayed to December and then  to January 9th, 2022. The delivery was postponed due to some unknown reasons to February 20th, 2022.  Then it was delayed to March 19th 2022 and now it is delayed to April 24th 2022. When I reserved my Tesla Y, I also ordered a BMW X5 from Peter Pan BMW dealership. I was given a VIN number. I tracked it through production process. It was supped to be derived in the last week of December 2021 . It was ready to be picked up on schedule on December 31st 2021.  I picked it up on January 2nd, 2022.  Excellent service. Manufacturing of a car is supposed to take weeks not months.  I understand when the demand is higher than the production, it takes time to get it, some time months. The delivery can be predicted by sequence of manufacturing.  There can be delay of few days or weeks, but not months.  Tesla is the top technology car manufacturer in the world.  They are supposed have a state of the art tracking system.  My expectations from Tesla were very high. I fail to understand what went wrong here.  I am very much puzzled.  If I had know that Tesla is irresponsible and delivery is so unpredictable, I would have gone with some other EV.  Now I have spent waiting for my Tesla Y for more 6 months, I am stuck with it. read more

Paid for winter tires over 40 days ago, still waiting for my tires to be installed. I'm VERY disappointed. I purchased winter tire package over a month ago (10/11/2019) from Tesla.com. As instructed with my purchase, I waited for them to reach out to me to schedule a service appt. After a week of no contact, I scheduled one myself for a week later. They confirmed the appt and the details of the work to be done (mount and alignment for the purchased tires). I took the day off work ad drove the hour to my closest Tesla Service Center (Reno, NV) . When I arrived, they took the car in and said they would call me when finished. They called me a couple of hours later that they said claimed only had 3 of the 4 tires so no work was done. Now 4 weeks later, still no word on the missing tire. Edit. Just called, still no tires. They will get back to me "soon". Same response I heard last month. I expect I will have to keep calling, as I don't get "updates" form them at all =( I'm VERY happy with the car, but extremely disappointed with their service. read more

My Tesla model 3 only has 16,000 miles on its tires and I already need all 4 replaced... two of the tires have side air bubbles. One had a nail. But when I got my car towed in. Tesla decided to call me and tell me that they can't work on my car because I have a interlock on my car..... which is funny because I have to go in to get my climate control fixed because it doesn't heat my car randomly... wonder how they are going to fix it... or are they going to Deny me service AGAIN. I have been driving an electric car for 8 years, and I finally decided to go 'Tesla'! I picked up my Tesla Y a week ago.. I was very pleased with the whole procedure, from the first visit to test drive the car, to the order - including modifications were taken into account effortlessly - and finally the delivery. It took 3 weeks from the completion of the order to delivery, while I was expecting 4 to 8 weeks delivery time... the personnel is knowledgeable and very nice and courteous. I am still waiting for the hitch to be installed .. but I am so happy with the car, it is a beautiful car, sleek, it is a computer on wheels, yet amazingly user friendly. The handling is incredible and you can find EV chargers so easily, no more range anxiety. Thank you Tesla! read more

Bad and extremely unprofessional experience with the Tesla Showroom, specifically one of the employees. Just yesterday, we had ordered a brand new Model Y and my family felt very satisfied about the car. However, we discovered that for the package that we chose, 21 inch wheels were included at no extra cost compared to the 20 inch wheels. Given so, we decided that we'd upgrade to the 21 inch rims. The person that we ordered with at the showroom explicitly if we had any changes we'd like to make we'd call him. That being said, my husband went on the phone with the employee to make the wheel change. We had gotten our wheels changed, however, the employee my husband was on the phone with didn't hang up. That employee then had spoken inappropriate language. Whether that language was regarding my husband or the employee's coworker, I believe that he was being completely unprofessional under any circumstance. I am an owner of a restaurant and I believe that customer service is at utmost priority, but my experience was not the case. I am considering cancelling our order and I am astonished by their service or lack there of. The Tesla itself was amazing, the customer service on the other hand, pitiful. read more
