Terry's is a café on the corner of Finney Street surrounded by commercial buildings. It has it's own small. parking lot so parking is limited. The menu is much larger than you would expect in a place this size. What is to be expected since they serve a large clientele of workers from the area. Restrooms are seriously disinfected so they seemed safe. Stopped in after visiting one of the businesses for a quick bite. Staff was very attentive and friendly. Had a BLT and a soft drink which was delivered quickly and was delicious. Ample bacon all the way across. Good food for a reasonable price. Well recommended, will return. read more

She gives me a number and I put it on my table and waiting for my food. This lady Julia doesn't stop asking what did you order? Did you order burrito? Did you order sandwiches? I told her last time clearly I have a number so I have a receipt and you also have a receipt. You already know what I order she doesn't stop asking what's your order and I told her the other day stop asking that's why we have a number on the table. It's it irritates me. She continues to do this Interrupting also after I got my order she's constantly bothering. I really don't want to eat there anymore. it's ridiculous. I want somewhere where I can come in order my food get a number and wait for my food to be delivered. I don't want Julia asking me. What's your order when clearly there is a number on my table I really hope the owner sees this and tells her to stop. I am not the only person complaining. Hopefully it will get better.! read more

Didn't really care for the breakfast burrito with sausage & bacon that i tried the other morning. Since when do they come wrapped in a reddish colored tortilla? This is the 2nd time in recent weeks that I get these awful things. Why are they doing this? I could see if someone requests that it be made on a red tort ..but come on really ...i want a good ol regular burrito on a good ol regular tortilla! Or at least let me know in advance that youre gonna mess it up like that. I will order something else or better yet, go elsewhere. And the gobs of fake cheese was pretty gross too. Gluttony is really bad but I love eating. This place has one of the biggest I've ever had. I had their vegetarian breakfast burrito. Generous portions of fresh avocado slices, mushrooms, bell peppers, onions, hash browns, eggs, and cheese :) Everything well cooked and tasty. Their green and red salsas were super good. I recently placed a large order for 30+ guests for two days and used their online menu for pricing. I sent someone else to pick up the order and they were over charged $185 each day. If prices are online and posted they should be honored as such. I called and was told "That isn't our menu and our prices are subject to change without notice." Sure for one or two orders that is understandable, but for an extra $185 that is unacceptable. I was supporting a local mom and pop restaurant but will not be returning after this experience. read more

It is not the greatest area. There are a lot of options, but what I did not like is that they charge 75 cents for water claiming they charge for the cup. It was hot and I was thirsty. The fact they charge almost 8 dollars for a burger is insane and for any credit/debit purchase they add an additional 4% so why would I pay an additional 75 cents? That's absurd. I have driven by Terry's cafe over 100 times but never stopped till now. I stopped in to get a cheese and mushroom omlette. I am doing keto so I did not want the hash browns and toast for ten something. She told me to get ala carte as it would be cheaper. I got to the window and it was like $9.89 still. I said to myself this better be good. I got back to work and opened the box and I see a mushroom omlette with two strips of cheese that look like a craft single cut in half. No cheese on the inside at all. It did not taste very good and only got half way through thanks to the green salsa I asked for. The best thing about the omlete was the salsa on the side and the orange slice that accompanied it. read more

It was ok. We came here for breakfast to try it out since I saw it has a drive thru. It has a combination of your typical diner food with Mexican food as well. We ordered the chicken fried steak and the corned beef with has browns and eggs. The has browns really needed some sort of seasoning, it was really bland. Their salsa was also a tad salty to me since I tried seasoning the has browns with it. Aside from the has browns everything else tasted like it should The chicken fried steak is like a hamburger steak with the crust and gravy added. Gravy was good and thick. My husband got the corned beef and it seems like the same one that you get from the can at the grocery store. So while it tasted traditional in the sense of what corned beef is, it didn't taste super different. At the end of the day this is traditional dinner food through and through. Went twice the first time the food was delicious with great portions sizes worth every penny. I had the classic breakfast, pancakes with eggs and bacon and a hot chocolate. Warning its actually hot to the point i burned the roof of my mouth, though that was my fault. Nevertheless, I had to return for the food and the great service. However this time around the food was not up to par, it was like a new restaurant. The chicken soup tasted like like boiled water with Maggie seasoning. The chicken tasted and looked old and the potatoes were bad. Its like they had tossed all the old and expired vegetables that they had not thrown out into the soup. We hope it was just a bad batch of something, because the food while eating it was good. So I just wanted to leave a review for the cafe to know that this happened and check for any reason we might have gotten food poisoning from eating the breakfast burritos. There's a lot of Terry's but I like this location because of the drive thru. It is parallel to Beach Blvd, so there's rarely a line and I get everything piping hot! Even to go! Carne asada fries come with crema, liquidy guacamole (like El Pollo Loco's but tastier), pico de gallo and enough carne asada that you're not always searching. (I do wish the pieces were larger and not cut so small, but that's just microyelping.) The junior burger is under $2 but comes with all the fixings of a fancy big brother burger; lettus, tomato, pickles & 1000 island. The patty is decent but I don't think I'll get their burger again; too heavily salted and seasoned on the patty. The chicken salad was the one that I thought would be the dud but it actually was a great surprise. I'd guesstimate that it was three full chicken breasts that were grilled and sliced on top of the salad. The heat from the chicken completely melts the cheddar cheese which is on top...which is both good and bad. The salad directly under it also gets a little warped from the heat. Overall a good salad and enough to easily split between 2 people. Which works out fine if you get the fries! :) I must come back to try the Mexican specialties. Not so much on the menudo but I am a fan of Champurrado. I think it is on Sundays only though. (There's a sign in the window near the end of the drive thru ramp.) read more

Terry's cafe is my go to when I can't decide what to eat. They have a wide variety of menu items to choose from. I almost always order the bacon and sausage breakfast burrito. I don't know what they do to the tortilla but it is buttery and delicious. The burrito is packed with flavor and I sometimes add avocado just for some extra happiness. The facility is one of a typical burger Stan nothing too fancy but warm and welcoming. The staff are always super nice and the food always fresh made to deliciousness and into my tummy! read more

I've been here a few times on my lunch break. So far, so good. These are the things that I've tried so far: Taquitos (comes with 2,) they were good. Carnitas tacos. (These are a pretty good size, don't expect street taco size. I ordered 2 but could only eat 1.) Greek Salad (I got it "to-go" and with the dressing it was pretty messy in the to-go box, but other than that it was good.) BLT - Good They have a pretty large variety of things to choose from on their menu and it appears that they make the food fresh when ordered. It's close to my job so I'll definitely pop in here and there to check out more stuff. read more

Oh boy was this place a surprise! I was out in the OC picking up some equipment for work and felt a bit peckish so I looked for the closest grub. You order at the counter from one of their many items, and they serve your food to you at your seat, as well as ask if everything is okay. I had the carnitas plate and it was good, very tasty and filling. I just wish that the meat wasn't so greasy!
