While we didn't have much of a wait before being escorted to our table we had local art, desserts to go and seating to us. Interactive placemat made the time fly while waiting for our breakfast. Today's featured a crossword where we looked for inventions from the 1950s! Dining area is large and save for a couple of kids that let out a holler every now and then the ambiance was chill and welcoming. Servings were large and flavor was turned up all the way! We recommend the breakfast potatoes, omelettes, English muffins, French toast, pancakes and iced coffee. Loads of parking alongside the building as well as behind the building. I had the Mexicali Benedict. It was amazing and hot, my mom Bacon, eggs home fries and toast. Hot and delicious. Even the coffee cups were larger than any restaurant and that to was amazing. Was finally able to eat here and had such a great experience. I learned from my past non-eating experience to call ahead and make sure my name was added to the wait list. We arrived and met our friend there with only a five minute wait to be seated at our table. Food was delicious. Amazing crepes and even better homemade corned beef hash! My daughter got a Mickey pancake with chocolate chips and my husband was able to order a meal that included two of his favorite brunch items-- biscuits and gravy and corned beef hash. Ordered a sriracha Bloody Mary and it tasted good however it wasn't overwhelming with flavor to me. Cute spot. Friendly service. Yummy food. Working man's breakfast , Bacon Cheddar Crepes and cinna cakes ! All great ! Coffee here is very good as well ! Hash browns cooked perfectly . This was my guests first time here. They were impressed ! Got breakfast at lunch. Took longer than regular lunch items. It was fine . We were not in a rush . Our waitress was fine but never offered refills on the coffee. Had to flag her down . I have been here multiple times. Had not noticed the food grade score until today. There were some serious offenses. I hope you have corrected these problems ! The service, food, and ambiance was awesome! The staff was super friendly and were on top of it! We never once needed for anything. The food... well it was fantastic. Normally places that have breakfast, lunch and dinner at any time don't always make everything perfectly but this place surprised me. Each dish was perfect. Ordered the ribeye tonight. It was cooked beautifully. My problem was what is going on with the garlic potatoes and rice? The potatoes were brown and yuck. The rice tasted funny. I heard the two owner care about the place the names after family. There is a limit to prepping food a head of time. Just try the stuff for yourself or ask us. My wife had the club and it was really good. Please keep trying and don't get offended. There are not many family restaurants like yours around anymore. We will be back. Thank you. read more

Terry & Maxine's absolutely surpassed our expectations of a diner. We were impressed by the extensive menu, the portion sizes, and the flavors in the dishes themselves. Everything tasted homemade and authentic. We ordered the Mexicali Benedict (pictured), Irish Benedict, and side of French toast. For two, this ended up being a lot of food, so we brought some home. My husband and I went for a rare brunch date yesterday, we wanted to try something new (to us). Terry & Maxines did not disappoint! Hubs had Irish Benedict and I had hash poutine. We each had a sriracha Bloody Mary which was served with a pickle! ~happy dance~ Everything was delicious! The menu is huge and we can't wait to go back and try more items. Pam was our server and she was wonderful! Very sweet, helpful and patient with our many questions. The only thing I would say we were missing is the Bloody Mary's need horseradish. Great update to website. In the past I haven't got very good customer service and haven't gone back until recently. Hopefully now they have their hours figured out in their hours match their sign, and the sign matches the website so there's continuity with the times that they're actually open. It's pretty unprofessional to go in and be told by a server that they are closed even though their signage says that they're open and the server made a mistake in the day telling us they were closed early even though it was not a day that they were supposed to be closed early We got take out today and the food was great. I do you have a problem with paying $1.50 for a tablespoon and a half of guacamole. This is more of a .50 add-on. Not cool to nickel and dime customers like that. read more

I still love Terry and Maxine's for breakfast, but we've not had great luck having dinner there. Tonight we waited WAY too long for our food - it was after six on a rainy Friday night, and there were only about six tables occupied. Or food arrived cold and overcooked (I already had to ask to have my tea reheated - this was literally the third visit that I had to send back lukewarm tea). EVERYTHING on both my plate and my husband's was cold. The food tasted good, but was not enjoyable due to the temperature. The waitress then brought us our check without asking whether we wanted dessert - which we did. We ordered the lemon cheesecake and the gf flourless cake. We got the cheesecake, but the "flourless cake" was obviously chocolate cream pie (see photo). We pointed this out, and the waitress insisted that it was the cake. Needless to say we didn't keep arguing, and I couldn't eat the "cake," because it was pie, with a crust, and I didn't trust that it was gluten free. We will still likely go back for breakfast (their corned beef hash still rocks), but we're done going for dinner. read more

Yum. How'd I wait so long? What a creative flippin' menu! I'm super jazzed to find a place that has more than omelettes and diner food on the menu-- but it's cooked like diner food!! I got a breakfast sammy. No big deal right? WRONG. Did I get it on a bagel? No. Did I get it on wheat toast? NO. I got it on BLUEBERRY MUFFIN TOPS, WHAAAAAT! Yes. I got crepes. Delish bacon + cheddar crepes with sour cream. (Add a lil hot sauce, get wild.) We got the blueberry coconut French toast. (Or was it pancakes? I don't remember but I'll add the picture and be like 'duh.') Our server was sweet, and she seemed happy to be at work. (I have NEVER been pumped to be at work on Saturday Morning, but she sure seemed to be) and she was attentive (not only to us but to all of her tables.
