My friend and I decided that Rolly's was going to be the place we would try for the month of May. We were not disappointed. The food was what I was expecting and hoping for....rich, indulgent food, that met my savory and sweet cravings. We were greeted immediately upon walking through the door and were instructed to sit any where we wanted. We had plenty to choose from around 10:30am on Saturday, even on a holiday weekend. All of the open tables, were clean and ready for new patrons. The restaurant was about half full and appeared to be mostly regulars, as they were chatting with the staff and each other. I love local places that know the locals that well. Our drink orders were taken within a minute of sitting. The hot chocolate were rich and creamy even without whipped cream. I opted not to have it added. I ordered a blueberry muffin as my "appetizer". They offer it as is, or grilled. I love it grilled and it was good and not too filling. For our meals we ordered a table pancake (meaning, a pancake for sharing). It was fluffy and perfectly good - nice and hot. They have "syrup" and it reminded me of being a kid and having Log Cabin syrup. I didn't ask, but it didn't taste like pure maple syrup. I ordered the corned beef hash skillet with a grilled english muffin. It was perfectly cooked and it was delicious. It tasted like canned corned beef hash and I was not mad about it. I truly wanted comfort food and this hit. My friend had the S.O.S. (gravy with beef and pork) AKA Sh*t on a Shingle. It looked soooo good and she stated the biscuit and gravy and meat were good. We took our leftovers home, which will tell you, the portions were decent, the food was delicious and no delicious food would be left behind. I recommend this restaurant if you are interested in diner food, with quick friendly service and plenty of space. I definitely want to come back and get the S.O.S. read more

Went to Rolly's for breakfast. It was a decent breakfast. Had an egg cheese omelet with hash browns. I asked for crispy hash browns. They were thin and crispy but little taste. Coffee was very good. Service was good. The ambiance was diner style. Clean. read more

Rolly's deserves a solid 4 stars. Service was excellent, food was decent and the interior decor is super cute for a local home-town style diner. We were here for breakfast on a Friday. Arrived mid-morning and the place was about half full. We ordered a couple of hungry man skillets, which were filled with potatoes and corned beef hash and cheese, and definitely enough for two meals, and an order of the blueberry pancakes with real maple syrup. The pancakes were exactly what I had hoped - packed full of fresh blueberries, not too sweet, and the cakes themselves were crispy on the outside and pillowy on the inside. Besides the ease of getting seated, ample parking in the lot, the quick kitchen service, and solid breakfast foods, our server was excellent. She checked on us continually to refill coffees and waters, was witty, had great suggestions, and really was just a joy. If I lived in Lewiston/Auburn I think this place would be in regular rotation and I'd probably walk in the door and they'd know my name and my order. The food here is simply BOMB It's a bit crowded, but it's that way for an obvious reason. If the food was mediocre or ok at best, you don't have a crowd. I love Rolly's! We drive several hours just to come here and always order several entrees. Today, while preparing to order more than two entrees for our two person party, because their food is so good, we were informed that if we shared any entrees, that we would be charged an additional $2 "shared plate" fee. I guess despite their deliciousness, I won't be returning. In an economy when times are tough, this fee will make me rethink where I do business. read more

Went to Rolly's Diner this morning. Wow, this is the quintessential diner. The food was amazing and also at a great price. It is a homey, and very clean establishment. We were comfortable as soon as we walked in. We had Emma as our server. She was so friendly and her recommendations were on point. I had the big breakfast to try the items. The over easy eggs were perfectly cooked. Their baked beans were amazing. They had great texture and the flavor. The bacon was cooked crispy and delicious. I can't say enough about the chocolate chip pancakes. They were light with slight crispy edges. They were so delicious without that heavy feeling. The coffee also had good body that will appeal to most everyone. Can't wait to go back to try some of the other items. This should be on your list if you are anywhere near Lewiston/Auburn. read more

Had a Turkey sandwich and the Turkey was the really processed rubbery Turkey in a grilled sub roll that looked like a large hot dog roll. Odd. Onion rings were straight out of some low end frozen food bag. My husband had the tuna melt. A scant amount of tuna salad in a hamburger roll. Soggy fries to go with it. Dolly's diner is the perfect place for your staple breakfast! From hash to French toast to crepes of all sorts, this place is the perfect place to find something from everybody. Service was great and always makes great suggestions if you're like me and can't make up your mind! I've gone here twice already and I really enjoy the skillets - just look at that crispy hash It can get pretty busy if you come in during peak hours (8-10) but they are pretty great with service and checking in to make sure your coffee mug is still full. Emma was our server, she was courteous, pleasant and engaging. Extensive menu offering many breakfast and lunch options, at very affordable prices. I ordered the Big Breakfast for $9.00. It included 2 fluffy scrambled eggs, 4 strips of perfectly crisp bacon, homemade baked beans, (2) 4" chocolate chip pancakes and coffee. The food was hot, fresh, flavorful and on point!! We've been driving by this place forever and have always wanted to stop by. My daughter was with me and said let's give it a try. It's a diner, but a clean one. You seat yourself and I got a coffee to start off the day with and wow, I didn't have to smoother it with sugar and cream - they have good coffee!! So she had a bowl full of yum, sorry, I cannot remember the name of it, but I'm sure others have mentioned it in their reviews. I got their Western Omelet and done to perfection. It was pretty steady with customers and the Cooks were talking about everyday stuff and pretty funny, made our visit a memorable one. We noticed they make their own desserts, but we were too stuffed to try anything....soooo, that just means we have to go back. Our waitress was very nice and attentive and the other wait staff were great with their parties. Glad we finally stopped by and will definitely return! Oh, and parking is plentiful and we had a window seat, which made our brunch meal relaxing. In the area, checked them out! We have been here twice and both times we were a little disappointed. Yesterday I had the corned beef hash and it was so salty . I had an egg and some amazing toast which I believe is home made . The waitress never offered to take any money off because it was so salty I could not eat it . The people sitting across from us and the same thing , no offer for it not good . All rolled in makes this a great diner. I was told by my techs that it gets pretty busy with lines on weekend. I was lucky this Saturday morning being there at 730 am with no line.
