I tried to get it today because they have been closed for a couple of days due to an event, Stephanie cut me off despite trying to explain the situation, the horrible customer service at this place is honestly sad, this business have no problem with taking your money but when you have an issue that was their fault there is no accountability. I've ordered from here 3 times and never again. Stephanie informed me that the issue that has occurred has nothing to do with everybody eats it was the grubhub delivery driver's fault, I recorded the call where your employee admitted that it was her fault for the bag being opened. She also told me that I should reorder it despite this happening 2 weeks ago. Why would I reorder it when I threw it in the trash because the food was tampered with?. This food delivery safety should be implemented into your employees and your business will be at fault when someone gets sick because you allowed the food to be taken by the delivery driver unsealed and open. And this is the owner that's acting like this do not support this black business! Explaining something over and over in the same rude tone and demeanor does not make you right, aggressive, loud and wrong, as a owner you should teach yourself and your employees on how to pack a delivery order properly.why should I place the order through grubhub again to throw away 30$ for a basic burger and wet fries get a grip girl. Leaving the fries container wide open and the plastic bag open is very smart! What a good owner

The restaurant has a charming and casual vibe. Both gentlemen tending the floor are from Italy, adding an air of authenticity. You can choose to sit outdoors -- I really like the way the patio is arranged --or in the cozy dining room. Once seated, you're brought a plate of roasted peppers and a basket of hard rolls. I sprinkled olive oil and grated salt on the plate, which proved a good idea with the peppers and rolls. There were a number of appetizer specials, but we went with a basic Caesar salad. One order, pre-apportioned in the kitchen, was perfect for the two of us. I ordered branzino as an entree T, linguini Pescatore. The whole fish is brought out and fileted tableside. While I took a photo, it was just one unflattering shot of the head (which I'm not posting.) The branzino was mild and flakey, good, though the seasoning didn't break through the skin rendering it a little bland. Excellent grilled potatoes and vegetables completed my dinner. My husband's linguini was delish; while the pasta isn't made in house, it tasted like it could be, served al dente, of course. The tomato sauce was spicy enough to bring the dish over the top. Portobello is byob. (Another Yelper mentioned an $8 corkage fee, but unless they forgot to charge us, they disbanded the policy.) After our meal, with takeout box packed -- there was a lot of fish -- we were offered amaretto as a digestif. A nice touch! The restaurant isn't all that convenient to where we live but we enjoyed dinner enough to warrant a repeat visit. Next time I'll try something Italian. Or maybe salmon, which looked pretty good. Reservations suggested, particularly on weekends.

About a week before booking a table at the Broad Table Tavern, a friend of ours came to us and told…read moreus they had a great time here. If definitely fed into our decision but we were looking for something nearby as my godmother wanted to take us to dinner for our anniversary after seeing our daughters in Newsies nearby. As always, I booked our table under my moniker, Sir Cornelius Silkbottom, to which the person taking reservations seemed a bit apprehensive, as I am very used to at this point. However, our reservation was perfect, and when we showed up at the nice little restaurant attached to the Inn at Swarthmore, we were seated right away, and next to the large windows that open up to the seated patio with a beautiful view of the golden hour of the day. One thing that was a little strange was that they charged for bread. Throughout our meal we kept having questions about what the true intention of what the Broad Table was going for in their presentation and their service. Our server and the staff was very nice, but we couldn't put our finger on whether the place is supposed to be very high-end, and upscale farmhouse style new American joint, farm-to-table, or what the heck was going on here. All I do know is that we enjoyed the heck out of what we ordered. Where they seemed to shine the most was in the very little nuanced things; a sweet lavender butter provided with the bread was a show stopper. The beet sauce along with my halibut was also outstanding. Everyone's meal was great, but we simply couldn't pin a label on this place, which may be the very purpose to begin with. Maybe Broad Table doesn't need a label or to be boxed in, and it really doesn't matter because it's delicious and the selection is varied enough for everyone! What is great about Broad Table Tavern is that it can be a standalone bar, a restaurant, and if you happen to be staying at the Inn, it is definitely a place to go for your meals. It's not cheap, but it is a great stop that will Make things easy for meals especially if you are here visiting kids in college to for a conference or another event. It was a bustling yet comfortable little restaurant, split into two separate rooms. My daughter and I sat on the side with the grill, which had extra windows since it's on "The Corner" and some nice green plants that brightened things up a little more. The Huevos Rancheros didn't disappoint - I ordered mine with the coffee rubbed short rib. It really was good and it was cooked perfectly. The crispy potatoes were so good and actually crispy, unlike most other places that just have a little crisp to them. I adore home fries, and they can be hard to cook just right, so I really enjoyed these. The service was great and the waitress was so friendly. Oh, and there was an earthquake while we were there - and my daughter was the only one who even felt it LOL Overall, it was a yummy and fun visit. The perfect amount of food and I clean my plate everytime. Although, not enough for leftovers. I've gotten the 14 Hour Pork Butt Omelette and the Kennett Square Omelette. Both were delicious! My boyfriend and family have had the Huevos Rancheros--which looked amazing and I was told it was delicious. Looked like a lot of food too, so if you want something more filling and hearty, I'd get that over the omelettes. They've also had the breakfast sandwiches, which looked like a steal for the price and very good as well. The coffee, hot chocolate and tea is great too, and fairly priced! Manje translates to "eat," so I'd say the mission is pretty clear!…read more A Haitian restaurant in this part of Pennsylvania? Completely unexpected. But what was even more unexpected was just how good it was. Being Haitian American, this is the food I grew up on. It's the cuisine I'm most familiar with, so I don't say this lightly: Manje might be the highest-quality Haitian restaurant I've ever been to. The snapper was top-tier elite. Seasoned perfectly, fried perfectly, and honestly just one of those dishes where you take a bite and immediately know they know what they're doing. I made the rookie mistake of coming in right before closing, so they were out of a few things--including the black rice. But that white rice? Better than 90% of the rice I've probably ever had. Haitians make the best rice. I'm willing to die on that hill. And what made this visit even more memorable was that it wasn't just about the food. The dining space was really nice, and the customer service was excellent. And if you know Haitian restaurants, you know I'm saying a LOT when I point that out. Manje is honestly everything I wish I had in my local town. Great food, a beautiful space, welcoming service, and a menu centered around a cuisine that's near and dear to my heart.
