I love carbs so all you guys calm the F down!!!!! Our go to place for the pumpkin seed loaf and the pizza bianca for making your mini pizzas. The muffins are just awesome like the banana chocolate ones. You obviously pay for the quality which I am in total favor for and make sure to pay in cash because it just makes things moves faster (they take credit and debit too) There's always a line but it's worth the wait. read more

Great pastry shop on Granville Island with so much to choose from! So many choices and breads to make deciding very difficult. The Blueberry Pastry was wonderful! read more

Really good bakery, especially for a city that's not big on bakeries or patisseries. Loved the rosemary and olive oil bread, but the best is their blueberry bread! It's a tart essentially, but the dough is just perfect - crispy on the outside, soft on the inside. I highly recommend that or the cranberry tart. One thing I have to add is that this location usually has really long lineups so if you are there just to buy bread then you are better off vising one of the less busy nearby locations in Kits or in Yaletown. read more

Bought their green olive bread (which has bits of fresh sage) and their organic levain. Former was very savoury, went well with cheese schmear. Latter is frozen in the work fridge to be eaten later. Both loaves hold up great in ziplocks! Fast service with knowledgeable staff on hand giving good recommendations. Definitely need to bring my mom back to show her all their yummy treats. Seasonal fruits/veggies used in their pastries (e.g. pumpkin tart). read more

This place leaves me speechless. I got blueberry bread and my husband got a Belgian chocolate brownie. The brownie was pretty good but wow, the blueberry bread... AMAZING! After finishing I went back and bought two more pieces as well as two pieces of grape bread. I think they lace their bread with some sort of addictive substance. Goodness... Do not miss this place! read more

Best croissant ever !!!! Buttery flaky and light. I wanted to try everything but had to save my stomach for all the other options in the public market. read more

Terra Breads - The croissant was amazing ! - Bakeries Near Me - Vancouver, British Columbia

Went with a friend to Terra Bread on my recent trip to Van City. We travelled all the way to Granville Island for this infamous blueberry bread... and boy, was it worth it! It was sweet, but not overpowering. There was a great crunch to it with every bite. The blueberries were just the right amount and didn't make the bread soggy... I could go on forever describing the thing but you really just have to go try it for yourself! The portion was large enough to share with my friend. We ate outside on the boardwalk with a great view of the water. Too bad I can't find you Terra Breads, I will be back sooner than you know it!!! read more

Things that I have tried and loved: -croissants -cupcakes(seriously the best bakery cupcakes, but they are seasonal) -pizza(I've had them all and my favourite is the mushroom one) read more

blueberry bread - get it, so good! What's not to like about this spot and their goods? The only downside is, there are too many delicious options to choose from. read more

Three words do it for me: fig and anise. The staff is very helpful and will offer to slice it for you. I should have bought more of these demi-loaves because I goggled it down so quickly. Baby enjoyed the moist bits of fig that we fed her. I'm kicking myself for not trying anything in the chocolate department. We did have a sample of their grape bread, so that is on the list for next time as well. read more

By far the most well made bread in the city. Super tasty with just the right amount of crisp to the crust. If you are one to enjoy flavored breads, the olive fugilese is just fantastic. Their baked goods are nice treat, especially the foccacia pizzas. The wait can be long at the Granville Island location, but it moves quickly so just be patient. read more

I love Terra Breads very yummy and I loved their new Chives and Parmesan scone very yummy!

Yum! this place has extremely tasty breads! I got the plain baguette, rosemary baguette, and the anise and fig baguette. Oh, and a rustic peach tart. I would have to say the rosemary baguette was my favorite. The anise was a little too strong (not a fan of licorice..at all). The plain was yummy, but you know, you can never go wrong with rosemary! The weather was very nice outside, so we got our bread sliced for us, and ate it with some yummy salami from oyama sausage co. on the dock. It was delicious! A perfect snack! Warning: The breads should be eaten in one day! We had about half a loaf left over so we brought it back to our room. Not a good idea. Unless you eat it in one day it dries up and goes bad!! But I definitely recommend coming here! read more

Excellent baked goods. My faves are the green olive bread and the focaccia pizza buns. These buns, at $4.50 each are the perfect light lunch or snack. They are flavourful little handhelds, perfect for walking around Granville Island Public Market and beyond. read more

The bread here is REALLY good. Get the pizza bianca, which is kind of like a focaccia, and the cinnamon brioche bun. The pizza bianca had really good flavor and the right amount of crunchy and chewy, while the cinnamon brioche bun was also really tasty. I was really tempted to try more breads but had to resist the temptation as we were leaving for dinner shortly after. read more

Holy mother of all things imaginable....BLUEBERRY BREAD....drool. The other stuff smelled and looked wonderful but I cannot stop thinking and dreaming about the blueberry bread. It was loaded with blueberries and sprinkled with powdered sugar. There are other ingredients but I have no clue as to what they are. It was not overly sweet, the bread had a crunchy-like texture on the outside but soft and chewy on the inside. The blueberry flavor was prominent, the sugar and bread did not mask the blueberry flavor and scent at all. Oh my goodness so good. I had this bread in January on a mini vacay in Canada with my husband and we are still talking about it. Yes, I just wrote a review for one piece if bread. So, yes, it was that good. read more

Smaller than their other locations. Customer service could've been better. Perhaps they were having a bad day. I come here to get some olive bread when I am on the way to seeing a friend as it goes well with anything. Sweet items are few and far between. read more

I only use this Terra Breads location, yes I know there are others but when at the market picking up something it's easy to hit this shop as well. The sourdough olive when they have it is great, well anything sourdough is great. I also like their french baguettes the normal white ones why does everyone try to mess with a standard, multigrain baguettes?? My other guilty pleasure is the grape bread with pinenuts and walnuts this is more of a slab of flat bread not a loaf but it's wonderful wonderful wonderful. read more

Judging only by the savory side of things, I found the bread to satisfactory but nothing to get too excited about. There were nice chunks of walnut throughout the walnut bread, although it was a bit more sour than I would have liked. I wouldn't be surprised if the sweet stuff was more exciting! read more

Terra Breads is a solid bakery. In the past, I would have rated a place like this a little better, but there are so many great bakeries in the world and Terra isn't quite in that class. They do have a few unique offerings in the form of blueberry and grape breads. These tasted good, but weren't revelatory. Like a lot of places in the Granville Market, the lines are long, but the staff handled the waiting customers with minimal delay, so kudos for that. read more

A wonderfully flakey and soft and delicious croissant. The best I've had in a long long time. Cheese sticks were also delicious as they were a bit chewy and cheesy and crispy. read more

Large selection of baked goods and pastries, love the scones, open 7 days a week and the staff is always helpful.

Pricey, but high quality reminding me of the Healdsburg Bakery in Northern California. I had the blueberry bread $4. I will return.

Can one LIVE on Terra bread alone? Perhaps....we loved this place. First - the staff was so nice and helpful it made it fun to shop there. The epi we purchased was perfect (and made our picnic at Stanley Park even more special). You have to try to fig and anise bread. WOW! Make sure to stop here when you are at the market - there are SO many tastly looking items. read more

Yum!! This place is so good!! If there is a line it is totally worth the wait. If you live here in Vancouver and havent tried this place yet..go! :) read more

in the farmers market on Granville. Good baguette to augment our other take away dinner items.

Cracked a tooth while eating their Granola. The shipment must have been contaminated in my local grocery store. There was a pebble in the Granola mix. read more

Their challah bread was excellent. The blueberry bread was also very good. The Salted carmel bread was not at all what we were expecting and it didn't have the sweet element that we were expecting. Their breads were really fresh and very interesting. If you are picking up meats and cheese, this place is a great choice for breads to go with. read more

Despite what people have been led to believe, the blueberry flatbread has a LOT of oil in it (ask to see the nutritional breakdown) so although it is tasty it comes at a price. read more

Like Terra Breads a lot! I spent hours there in my 20s (yes, I have been a fan for awhile!). My favs there are: fig and anise loaf, rye loaf and their dinner rolls! Sadly, I no longer live in the area, but every time I am on 4th, I go in and get some delicious chewy goodness. Can anything out there be compared to really good bread? read more

Oh my effing gosh!! I am seldom at a loss for words, this was one of those instances. I was walking in the Granville Market checking it out when I noticed a whole bunch of people lined up for this place. I peeked in between people's bodies and realized it was a bakery. The bread looked appealing enough so I got in line. I had some savory things, tomato-onion-cheese foccacia, if I recall correctly? A sweet thing, blueberry and white chocolate bread. The most memorable of all was the pizza bianca. It's pretty much a small loaf of bread with the slight taste of herbs and cheese. You can't see any of it, but you sure can taste it. Oh man! This stuff is FRESH! They're always pulling stuff out of the oven...mostly because they keep selling out of stuff. Between three people, the loaf was demolished in 5 mins. We had to go back and buy another. Best bakery of its kind. I think it's a chain, it sure puts Panera's to shame. read more

I was on my way to my friend's place in Olympic Village and needed a bite to eat. I stopped by Terra Breads for a sandwich with little expectations for anything spectacular being that it has become a chain, and we all know chains end up lacking integrity, losing quality and usually become bland and boring. I was delightfully surprised by my sandwich and the customer service, so much so that I returned 3 hours later on my way home for round 2 of the same sandwich. I ordered it to go, they gave me a number, and I told them I would be back in a few minutes after popping around the corner to grab something next door. I returned no less than 5 minutes later and a different employee asked me what i was waiting for. I told her that I ordered a sandwich a few minutes ago and was just hanging out waiting for it. She promptly went and figured out where my order was at, came back less than a minute later with it sincerely apologetic for it was her understanding that i had been waiting a while. I hadn't been waiting at all, and maybe it was my 'bitchy resting face' as my friends like to call it - where i look angry even though i promise I am not - that made her think I was unhappy or frustrated. I told her I hadn't been waiting at all, but she was still adamant about making sure I was happy and taken care of. I do not remember the last time I had not only such great food from a chain restaurant, but true caring customer service as well. I wish I grabbed your name to compliment you on your caring nature but I forgot to do so, but I thank you anyways. And to all of you working there who are real individuals working together as a team and still care for each other and the customers - I say thank you! read more

If you're at the Granville Island Public Market, definitely stop here and try the blueberry bread. It was so good! My best friend and I inhaled it in seconds but I spilled two blueberries on my shirt (Luckily it was a blue shirt).
