Dan from termite right is an outright scam artist. Please see the pictures of Chapman village HOA. It cost me more to have his work ripped off and put back on Again. When I asked him why he said this was the firstTownhouse complex he had ever worked on. He admitted he had gotten in over his head. Dan the owner was used to changing out short pieces of facial board on single story residential. He told my man to give him almost all the money up front which is illega.. After confronting him he said he never took any money which was a lie When confronted he did more damage and pulled off the job he pulled no permits but yet he definitely got into the structural bones. And his bid he was to change out planners under the window instead he cut then off with a chainsaw causing severe damage to the inside of the units leaving gaping holes where we now have black mold. He did more damage than he did work. And at the end of it all after being confronted he actually pulled a gun and it's not his first time with violence and customers look at his other reviews That are not on Yelp. Don't let termite right scam you We've already had offers for some of the money back but after replacing all of Dan's work he's gonna owe me double. The California pesticide board agreed we got scammed. He went way over his time he even charged me for several scissor lifts in the bid that he never used ($8,000) he used latters which caused multiple damages to my new roof have to fix a new roof now. Then he wanted to charge me for a lot of the woodwork that was already in his bid. He didn't use the right wood or screws he promised. He didn't write up the proposal right he has no idea of contractor law Confirmed Via attorney's other contractors and myself retired 50 year general contractor developer. We knew that we had a termite issue that needed to be addressed but we were putting it off for several reasons. First of all, we have a tile roof and our roofer warned us that tile breakage would be a costly issue if we were to tent our home. Secondly, we were dreading the preparation involved with packing up food, removing plants and having to drain and relocate fish from our 500 gallon fish tank. When our roofer recommended an alternative to the traditional tenting method, we immediately called Dan, with Termite Right, to consider his technique. We are glad we did. Dan is both professional and easy to work with. He and his son, Ben, completed the work to exterminate both dry rot and subterranean termites on our premises in just one day without us needing to vacate the premises or do any special prep. To prepare you, his treatment for subterranean termites was very thorough and required him to make small holes around the entire perimeter of the home, including through the hard scape, which he filled with plugs. The interior treatment required similar drilling of small holes in wall voids where the termites were present and then he patched it, necessitating only the need for me to do small paint touch ups. I was particularly impressed on his diligence in finding the source of the dry rot termite infestation in order to insure the best result. In summary, I highly recommend Dan and Termite Right to help rid your home of termites in a less hassle-free manner. read more

Dan was replacing eves on a neighbors house and I had him bid our house. Dan and his assistant are All American. I had Dan do the job of painting and replacing our eves. The job was almost done on a Friday. Dan returned on Saturday by himself in the pouring rain and finished 95% of the job wearing a full rain gear outfit. He returned a couple of weeks later to fix some small things I found that needed touch up. This company is local and dependable and fair with their price. To me, their dependability was a huge plus. Like noted in other reviews, Dan is the man and the owner. He is straightforward and his information and very knowledgeable on termite issues. Roofers right now are really busy and so I got recommendations from them where I needed all the fascia boards replaced. I'm going to do an exterior paint but wanted this fixed prior to paint. Dan's price for the job I was very comprable for the quality of the materials used. He was also able to discuss some termite fixes at the same time which I also needed but did not want to go in with a complete tent so got a house treatment. Dan is a really nice guy who seemed like he would get the job done, but this is how Termite Right went very Termite Wrong. Although he did get rid of our termites, we ended up with some major issues. First, I got a text that our sprinkler system was broken, which I appreciated the communication, but we later figured out he broke the sprinkler valve while trenching causing the sprinkler to leak. I asked for him to turn the water off, but he couldn't figure it out, so I had to call my neighbor to come over to turn it off. When my neighbor turned it off, he turned the water back on and the sidewalk and front of our house was overflowing with water when we finally came home. To make things worse, he left our garage door wide open with all our tools and belonging open for anyone to steal. With an unlocked attached door to our house, it also meant that anyone could enter and also take anything within our entire house! Luckily my husband got home in time to figure this out before anything was taken, but it was really unprofessional. For some reason, we also had a lot of flies inside our house when we came home. I suspect he left the doors wide open while he was working around the house. It took a few days before it finally died out with the flies.... since we normally close our doors. Although he did apologize and he truly does seem like a nice guy, I can't say much about the outcome. He did return money for the part of the sprinkler valve that we fixed ourselves with maybe a little extra (total of $46.65 returned), but I'm still very disappointed by the service and how it went terribly wrong. read more

Let's face it Fumigating your home is a major inconvenience any way you look at it -- We knew there was extensive termite damage on the outside of our home (corbels, decorative wood and facia) and we wanted to keep it to the original style. After doing extensive research and having multiple estimates for our project we chose Hungry Termite. We have absolutely nothing but praises for all the time, attention, staff and subcontractors Victor has chosen to work with. Victor not only spent time with us at the initial inspection, was always available for questions/concerns, and promptly returned all phone calls, text messages and emails and answered every question that we had as it came closer to the the repairs and tenting in a timely manner. Although the whole process was straightforward - packing and coordinating a place to stay with all the animals was a bit overwhelming as we have been in our home for almost 25 years and it takes us longer to get things completed. We chose to delay our wood repair & tenting -- to work around our animals (hibernation) and need to give this job the best advantage of seasoned wood, time & temperature. As we chose to keep the original look of the home, we knew the wood replacement wasn't going to be cheap. We ended up tenting the first week of November a huge bonus was that the weather cooperated both for tenting and staying at the BnB days temperatures ranged in the mid 70's with no rain in site, everything went smoothly. Both quotes were competitive and we chose the Windows/Doors treatment over the tenting option based on our discussions. Scheduling was flexible, and he arrived 5 minutes early. The work was performed as described. A week later I started to repair the damaged exterior trim and thought I discovered termite damage in the window header. I called Dan to get a quote on wood repair services that he offers. Dan came out to inspect and told me that what I thought was a damaged header was actually the original tar paper wrap. Termite Right did our fumigation on 4/14/17. Dan was very professional and thorough with the home inspection. His price was very reasonable and competitive. My wife and I was quite satisfied with the work. The fumigation workers broke a few tiles but it is expected since we have Spanish clay tiles and they are easily broken if you don't step on it correctly. This review is solely based on communication, or in this case a lack thereof, with the company. I just purchased a home and will most likely need termite services. I tried scheduling a free inspection through their website on a Friday for this coming Tuesday. Didn't hear back at all. Called twice on Monday and got their voicemail. I left a message the second time. Still no response. Perhaps business is booming right now and they don't need the extra work. If they were booked up then a simple phone call or e-mail response would have been sufficient. Zero response at all leads me to believe they don't want my business. Based on all the stellar Yelp reviews, I wanted to give Termite Right a shot. I'm sure their services are great but unfortunately, I will never know. read more
