We brought in CCTC as a second opinion for the inspection that was done by the seller. CCTC confirmed that the original inspection was valid, and while CCTC's price was about the same as the other company, I liked Joe who came out for the inspection so we went with CCTC (it didn't hurt Joe is also is a parent to a pitty and made friends with mine). Kim, the person who runs the show, was very responsive and good to work with. Both inspections had called out that we might find something in one area once we opened it up, since hard to get to, and unfortunately we did. Lots of rot and some termites. So, we basically quadrupled the work by the time we finished after chasing down the rot and killing the bugs. Ivan, who did most of the construction work (helped by Larry, Joe and another - sorry I forget his name) did an amazing job. Ivan was very patient with all my questions and suggestions on how to do things a bit different, etc. The job did take a lot longer than anticipated since they had to special order some wood and Ivan had some other scheduled jobs, but it finally is finished and we have a house that is ready for the next 20+ years! We will be seeing them in a couple years to make sure the termites haven't come back.

I was alarmed when I spotted 'swarmers' late Spring outside our detached studio. Since there were…read morecracks leading to the wall of this structure, it just felt way too close for comfort. We had another agency come to inspect our house and the detached studio and while they didn't find any activity or signs of damage (whew!) they recommended we do preventative treatment and while we initially thought it was a good idea, their quote was really, really high (and they do not do 'spot' treatment). I wanted a second opinion. I then found Echobots on NextDoor and Monica was so understanding and knowledgeable. Josiah came out to do another inspection and while he also only saw 'old' signs of termite treatment in the past on our separate studio, he came up with a plan to just do the perimeter of that structure. We accepted and when he came out a few weeks later, he and my husband moved a standalone plastic shed that was on top of a wooden pallet and bingo...we saw some worker termites under that pallet (again, way too close to our actual structure), so really glad we did this. Instead, Mark got back to me within 15 minutes and had a technician at my door in less than two hours. I couldn't believe it--who bends over backwards like that these days? On July 11th I heard someone working/drilling on the outside wall in my back patio to my townhome…read more I looked in the driveway and saw a van with Bug Zappers logo on it. I thought the HOA ordered work to be done. Once the worker left, I went outside to take a look at the work he performed. He installed a wire rodent barrier to close off the hole where my AC lines run into my house. When I looked closer, I noticed that the AC electrical wires had been cut. Crazy because the AC had been running all day and I just noticed that it wasn't running any more. I called the HOA to let them know that the workers they hired, damaged my property. They didn't hire the worker. It turns out that the workers got the wrong address to perform the work at and must have been irritated so they cut my electrical lines. These people suck! Don't hire them!

On June 8 at 3:08pm I was on highway 4 east going around 70mph in the fast lane and right around…read morethe golf course I come to a van going very slowly and weaving - appears he was most likely texting and not paying attention. I see this all the time on the 4 and just go around. I didn't look at him, I didn't acknowledge him, I simply went around him and minded my own business but for some reason that offended the guy. You know it's California for some reason people get offended if you go around them while they're texting. He flips out, zips over to the left of the highway and starts speeding up that part of the highway to get in front of me. He's doing at least 90-95 or more and I quickly realize this guy is a not in his right mind, I back down so he can get back in front as there is no room for him to get in there otherwise and who knows what this crazed person is going to do, there's no more room for him to drive on the shoulder, he jumps in front of me, and then quickly whips around to my right side. I can see this is a Bug Zappers van, clearly marked on the side of the van. I'm not sure what he plan was but I take out my phone, there just isn't enough time to get the camera up because this is happening quickly but I pretend like I'm filming him. He sees my phone facing him and realizes he's doing all this in the company van and hits the brakes, I mean, quick, dropping to 40 mph (or slower) so it's literally ten seconds and I can't even see him back there. He knows he's messed up. I didn't get him on the camera on my phone but I do have dash-cam in my car so I did get him on camera, coming up my left side and zip in front of me and whip to my right side (see my attached photo) I called Bug Zappers where he works and spoke to a lady who didn't seem to concerned. I told her I had the video, she said to send it which I did. A couple days later I got an email stating "we will talk to our drivers about driving safely." Driving safely? This isn't a guy who accidentally cut someone off. This was a angry person who drove up the left side of the highway over 90 mph to perform some sort of road rage on someone who simply went around him and only stopped because he was being filmed in the company van. This guy literally risked my life and everyone else around us. This guy has no business ever stepping in anyone's personal residence. Imagine what this guy would do in your home! Bug Zapper management doesn't think this is bad at all. Would you want this guy in your house? Again, this nut risked my life and everyone around driving like a lunatic up the side of the highway at over 90 mph and zipping in between me and other cars to teach me a lesson. And why is he "teaching me a lesson?" Because I had the audacity to go around him while he was texting in the fast lane. Please beware of this company. There are tons of exterminators in the area who don't allow their drivers to perform road rage. And read the other reviews here in yelp. This is a pattern. (again, see my photo)
