I have never had a worse experience than I have had with this company. Our issues began in May 2025 when we were charged $2,000 for a service we never received. It took more than 30 phone calls, filing a complaint with the BBB, and six months of waiting before we were finally refunded our money. Naturally, we canceled our service shortly afterward, yet to this day we are still receiving service bills. Just when we thought this nightmare was over, it continues. I have lost all faith in Terminix after the grief they put us through this past couple of months. We have been customers for over 16 years and it is disgraceful the way we were treated. In April, we had an in home inspection of our crawl spaces in the attic & garage. We were told we had a significant rodent infestation showing us tunnels & rodent droppings. We were later told those rodent droppings were very old and the truth was probably fabricated to us so we would consent to treatment. We agreed to treatment which was sealing up all the outside spaces where something could get in and removing the old insulation & installing new in the attic & garage crawl spaces. We paid $7,409.40 for these services. Exterior seal up was done 4/11/25. Attic insulation completed 4/14/25 and garage insulation completed 4/17/25. On 5/15/25, we noticed debris on our car and the floor in the garage. We looked up and the ceiling was cracking and starting to collapse. We notified the Terminix employee that did the inspection immediately. He responded with a few words. We gave him time to let us know what was to be done and we never heard from him. We started calling the Terminix 800 number. We called 5/23, 5/28, 5/30, 6/3, 6/4 (twice), and 6/5. We spoke to all different people. They all told us someone would come out to look at the problem. They made appointments for us and no one ever showed. We were given the complete run around and no one wanted to help us. Pictures were even sent to the Branch Manager. He blew us off several times & never contacted us. I filed complaints with the Attorney General and Better Business Bureau. I finally received a phone call on 6/16 from the branch manager. He told me it was their fault and they would fix it. On the evening of 6/18 part of the ceiling collapsed and there was insulation all over the floor in the garage. This happened due to their neglect to help us in a reasonable amount of time. I called and texted the branch manager on 6/19 providing pictures of the most recent collapse. He advised he would get someone here as quickly as possible to clean up. As of 6/24, no one had showed up to clean up the mess. I contacted the branch manager once again asking when someone was coming to clean up. He responded that someone would come 6/25. Terminix sent their insulation services team on 6/25 to clean up. I give Max, John & Brennan a five star rating for their excellent service. They worked hard cleaning up the mess and removing insulation from the garage crawl space so we had no further collapses. We are now scheduled for repairs to the garage ceiling on July 8, 2025. Businesses should stand behind their work. Terminix is lacking in customer service & communications. read more

If I was given the option for a negative number review I would. Minus 10 is not low enough. I had a contract for mice and squirrel removal. The salesman flat out lied to my wife and me about mouse and squirrel trails and feces in our attic. We asked for pictures of the trails and feces but did not receive any from the salesman. A service person from Mid Atlantic Wildlife Control(Contracted by Terminix for a portion of the job) Told my wife and I when we asked about the trails and feces in the attic, that there was no trails or feces in the attic at all. Per the contract, Terminix was to remove the old insulation from the attic, a chemical was to be sprayed to kill any rodents in the attic. After the chemical dried(which was to take several days), Terminix was supposed to clean out any dead rodents and then put new insulation in. The old insulation was removed and new insulation put in on the same day without spraying anything in the attic. There is so much more that they were supposed to do according to the contract which was never done. They already collected over $4900 and are now trying to collect another $5900 which I am disputing with my credit card company. Be very careful dealing with this company. They try to prey on customers that don't much about rodent control. I have done my research and have gotten legal representation. I will fight them on this. The guy that went to my house to do the service did such an awful job and I told them I wanted to cancel the other services because I'm not happy with what they did. Been trying to cancel the service they have not completed yet for more than 3 months and they haven't done anything. Every time I call there is always an excuse why they can not cancel. They even provide me with an not in service phone number stating that it was the retention department and they were the only one can cancel my service (bs). And the worst part is I have contacted 4 attorneys and no-one wants to take the sue case because they know Terminix is a scam. read more

Zero stars!!! They are completely unprofessional. I had a buyer wood destroying pest inspection scheduled. I confirmed twice that they were coming. The inspector was a no call no show. When I called each time nobody knew how to identify my confirmed appointment until I repeated myself over and over again. They schedule appointments with no confirmation number, e-mail, text, nothing. They say, "it's in our system." Well under what because I just spent 20 minutes verifying who I was each time I called. I was sent a bill for services that were never performed. I spent several hours trying to dispute the bill and even cancel the pest control contract. We have spent thousands over the past 15 years on termite and pest control contracts and now I cannot even talk to someone without getting out on hold! Terminix is a rip-off!!! read more

do i really have to give them at least one star? undeserved. 0 is more appropriate. i called on thursday august 31 regarding an outdoor yellowjacket nest. the scheduling representative set an appointment for between 3 and 5 on friday september 1 and took my credit card information, saying that it was to hold the appointment. at 8:30 friday morning a local representative called me and said that there are no technicians available at the scheduled time but that someone could come earlier and i wouldn't need to be there, as it is an outdoors issue. nobody ever came. i called the local technician at about 4:30 friday, when i got home and saw no evidence that anyone had come. left a voicemail, never heard back. checked my cameras, nobody there all day. so, they blew off the appointment after rescheduling it. fine, plenty of other exterminators out there. except for that they charged my card on saturday september 2. i called back to the customer service line on monday september 4. when i explained what happened-or didn't happen-they seemed strangely unsurprised. must happen a lot. no apologies, no offer to get someone out asap... just transfer to a "customer care representative" who said my card will be refunded in 5-7 business days and that i will get a letter about the cancellation of my service even though i never had any actual service. so now i wait a week for my appointment with ehrlich. all they've got to do is show up and they're already better than terminix. read more

They were supposed to address noise from the attic that is likely mice - per them, they showed no report of mice yet they collected thousands for unnecessary insulation we do not need. The attic noise continue, they also broke my ceiling and I have to find repair man myself and paid the repair man, till date they did not return the cost of repair of over $600, their manager Mr. Shaw gave his words they would refund, months has passed and they did not refund anything. Fair warning: I called Terminix because of a mouse issue. The SALESman came to my house and explained the mice were climbing up the brick and making their way into the house. Not knowing I figured that is probably true. The day the technicians came out I told them and they laughed, stating 'they never heard of that'. The technicians were there for 50 minutes at a tune of $1,350.00. By the way my house is 10 years old and 1500 sq ft. rancher. They explained to wait 2 - 3 weeks and the mice will be gone. After 3 1/2 weeks I called and said the mice problem didn't change. Terminix set up a time for a return visit, Saturday from 8am to 10am. At 11:30 I finally got a call back from the Salesman, which told me sorry but the Tech is on vacation. At that point I said I'm done and I want to invoke the 30 day guarantee of a refund if not happy. After calling the Terminix headquarters and having a Customer Care Advocate get involved to get me my refund I thought it would be taken care of. It didn't, the Better Business Bureau complaint was filed. I still had to contact Terminix only to get messed around and told I wasn't getting a full refund. My Care Advocate finally got it sorted out and told me I was getting the refund, 'it just won't be mailed out for 2 weeks'. So we will see if the refund ever comes. The moral of the story; look elsewhere and look at the other reviews regarding Terminix and I believe you will agree too, this is not a company to do business with. * As a side note the first Technician visit was on June 16, 2018 and today is August 1, 2018. UPDATED 08/16/2018 ( 2 months later ) I continue to be told the refund is approved and on the way. On 7/26/18 I was told by Bob Shaw it should be 2 days for the refund to be sent. On 8/1/18 I was told checks are only cut on the 1st and the 15th of the month. So why wasn't the check done on the 1st? Than 8/9/18 it says on the Better Business Bureau response (yes I thought the BBB might make them do the right thing) the refund is approved and being processed, which I never spoke to any on since 7/26/18. Today, 8/16/18 I still did not receive my refund. This has been going on for too long for any legitimate business to handle an issue. This is further evidence the company doesn't do what it says. Look at all the reviews, not just this one and you will see for yourself. Anyone can promise things and charge exorbitant amounts of money, but if you still have pest or mice issues it doesn't mean anything. read more

Very poor customer service the 1st service Tech that came to my house was very knowledgeable and concerned with my needs.The 2nd Tech that they sent to my house seemed to lack experience did a partial job with treatment,reported back to his superiors that he completed everything that was supposed to be taken care of which was false. They cancelled my appointment the day of my appointment an hour before my appointment was scheduled for a flea treatment. They did nothing to rectify the situation but continued to call me for my bill payment needless to say, The Tech sprayed a chemical all over my hardwood dining room floor and all over my linoleum in my kitchen which in turn left residue on my floors I had to mop my floors 2 different times to try to pull the chemical up nothing was done to rectify that situation he also started spraying a chemical while my daughter was in the house who is 10 years old and has asthma after I asked him to let me get her out of the house before he treated my house. I've called several times asking for a supervisor or a manager to please return my call and no one has done such as of this time it's been several weeks since I've asked for someone to return my call yet they continue to call me about my past due balance- I have completely terminated my contract with them!!!!! read more

I represent a 35,000 sqft commercial business in York City, near York College. We have proven that Terminix has been billing us quarterly for services they are not performing. In our gigantic building, with an obvious mouse problem, there were a total of 3 traps. Yes, 3. None of the traps had been serviced or cleaned out IN YEARS. I think the guy gets out of his truck, spray a little bug spray for a few minutes and leaves. We have also had problems with ants and silverfish last summer. This company is grossly negligent and I am definately going to file some formal complaints. read more

Terminix is HORRIBLE - used to be a good company - not sure what happened. We discovered that somehow our indoor only cats had fleas. We did our part to treat the cats and called Terminix to schedule a service to rid our home of these nasty pests. I looked up the number and found a local (as I prefer to deal locally rather than some call center in another state). Apparently, the local number routes to a call center in another state anyway. Nice...should have been my first clue to walk away. Lisa, a rude representative answered the phone. She apparently did not like her job and/or want to be there that day. However, she proceeded to schedule me for a service on Saturday. They so nicely (sarcasm) give you a 4 hour window for service which is ridiculous. However, I can request a specific time (which defeats the purpose of a window...LOL). I requested 10AM. Saturday came and went - it is now 11AM on Saturday and nothing. All 3 of m cats have been in a cage for hours at this potin. My family has been held hostage since we woke up. We have been going crazy doing all the things Lisa instructed we do. I call the number at 11AM to inquire where anyone is. I am told my scheduled service is Wednesday, next Wednesday......WTH????? Um, I don;t think so. I escalated and was told the manager at the New Cumberland PA office is Bobby. He was with another customer and would call me back in about 10 minutes. 30 minutes later I am back on the phone with a call center in goodness knows where......Didn't catch the name of this person who again was rude and hated his job. He dry transferred me to some number that simply hung up on me. I call again and get a gentleman by the name of Andre. Fortunately, Andre had a clue about how to deal with customers, especially pissed off ones....He tried to do everything he could do and did not balk at connecting me with his manager Marcus. Marcus worked to try to get my the manager for my local branch. He did not have much success as these managers are on call and "supposed" to respond to calls.....LOL. Finally spoke with Bobby, the manager in New Cumberland, who said he was trying to get someone out but would probably not be able to do that, as they are booked. After many calls back and forth (since it felt as if Bobby rushed me off the phone and completely blew me off), I was told my credit care would not be charged for my first service. I was also told he would keep trying to get someone there on Saturday. If not then someone would come out Monday at the time of my request (5PM). Bobby never called again to indicate whether someone was coming on Saturday or Monday. I had to call Monday morning to find out what was going on. Again, time to play the call center game......Again another person answered who clearly did not like their job. I do not understand why the local numbers are a BIG SECRET.......I am the customer and should be able to be reach out to the people that will actually be coming here. What a JOKE!!!!!!
