I wish I could give this company a 0. On my initial call, I explained I only need someone to come out one time bc my association already has a monthly service. They told me the cost and I agreed. I was told the technician would come out twice (included in my price). After the second visit, I received another bill. I called many times and got the run around. I was told everything was being reviewed and I would receive a call back. NEVER HAPPENED! These idiots signed me up for a yearly contract when I specifically stated I need ONE VISIT. We've had Terminex for 23 years at this house, & more at our previous address. I will confine our total discontent to the most recent issue. We have termites in our attic. They have swarmed into the 2 closets & once in the bedroom for the last 2-3 years, leaving behind wings, droppings & wet dead bodies on the shelves, surfaces & in the curtains; unsanitary & disgusting. They have "spot treated" several times. The latest infestation was in May of this year. The tech spot treated yet again on 6/9/25, said he would report the infestation & order the attic to be fogged. It is now August 6th...nothing has been done. Our calls go unreturned, after lengthy holds & explainations to nice people working from home who promise our area manager will be alerted & the problem solved. Twice an appointment to fog was actually made, then they cancelled, and today was a no show. But! they did send a tech for an annual inspection to see if we have termites! He did not go into the attic. Swarming season is over, the house is clean; surprise, he didn't find any. He promised to get something done, we can only hope. Calling them is an exercize in futility. Disorganized? Absolutely. Inept, frustrating? Beyond. In addition we have a seperate contract for subterranean termites. Consider how we, as very long term customers with 2 contracts are treated; you decide. read more

Wishing I didn't have to resort to this. I'm having an issue where I cannot get in contact with the Fort Lauderdale branch manager (Kyle) and I'm not receiving any guidance despite multiple calls to terminix over the last few months. Nobody calls back. I have several areas of termite infestation. I finally had an inspector (Brian) come down and he emphatically stated that I need to get the house tented/fumigated because continuous spot treatments will not be effective. He took a few minutes to calculate the cost (upward of $4K). When I told him that I have a Tenting contract with terminix that I pay for every year, he replied "oh, well then I shouldn't even be here. It's a different process where you have to keep getting spot treatments and they may not want to tent." So, here I have been receiving several spot treatments and the termites persist, yet the company will not honor my Tenting contract! And nobody calls me back to discuss this or schedule the Tenting. I had a technician (Mark Bissoon) tell me that the Tenting is backed up and it won't be for a another year.!?! So my house should crumble from termite destruction in the meantime? Yet, before the inspector knew that I had a contract, they were able to do the Tenting the next week!!! Explain that! Mark has stated multiple times that he will have his boss Claudius call me. I have yet to hear from anyone. The whole thing is feeling like a scam! It is dishonest. This termite issue needs to be properly resolved Asap! Your own inspector and technician both stated that the problem will not resolve with more spot treatments! Stop wasting my time on these futile treatments and honor my Tenting contract! I'm not sure if I'm posting this review to the correct Terminix office since I called a toll free number. My mother had termites which we needed to get rid of. We used Terminix to get the job done. No issues with the tenting in preparation for the fumigation. My issue is "after" the tenting was removed. I got a text in the morning letting me know that we could go back in the house. Our sales guy also called with the same info. Upon arrival late in the afternoon, I did a walk through of my mother's house and noticed that a small lamp had been knocked over. I didn't think anything of it because it was on carpet and picked it up when I noticed some parts of the plastic which holds the bulb was broken. I notified our sales guy just so he could let his crew know to be a little more careful in the future. Since my mother has a gas water heater, I had that coordinated for the next day. Our window with the gas company was between 8 am and 12 noon. They got there right around noon. So after waiting for half a day, the gas technician informs me that he can't turn on the gas because the tenting company left "paper" on the gas pipe coming out of the roof and the rain cap was missing. He said that if he were to light the gas, it would catch on fire. A fire on a shingle roof would not be a good thing. I tried to get a hold of our sales guy but got his voicemail and left him a detailed message asking that he call me back. I was a little annoyed that I had wasted half a day and now another half day since I had to reschedule the gas company. Instead of a return call that I asked for, I get a text with the field supervisor's name and #, telling me to give him a call and explain what happened. Of course I tried to call and his VM is full. I texted our sales guy to let him know that the field supervisor's VM was full and I was unable to leave a msg. I asked if he could have the field supervisor call me to which he advised that he already sent him a message. Do you think I got the courtesy of a return call? I would have given 1 star for the issues that happened after but decided to give an extra star because I didn't have any issues pre-fumigation. read more

Whoever answers the phone at this people business needs some serious training, I called this morning and the first thing I said was I have never had this issue and I needed a technician, I guess this person has never sold nothing in his life because instead of proceeding to lock me up in their services he literally said I probably just had trash in my house so I hired ORKIN , which gave me options and a bill, on the spot. Absolutely terrible customer service. We had an issue with termites that was not resolved. After failing to get this issue resolved, we tried to contact the branch manager and district manager who never called us back. We are out several thousand dollars and still have termites. When I first moved to my home, I was informed by the owner that her tenant had an infestation problem, thus was advised to keep the Terminix package, so I did. I must say, I am VERY pleased. My family and I have had no issues in the over 2 years we've been here. Our technician Mr JOMO TURNER is excellent, reliable, courteous and always prompt. Warning: WALK AWAY NOW AND CALL ANYONE ON EARTH besides Terminix in Plantation. There is not 1 POSITIVE review in YELP which should tell you something. The only thing they do correctly is charge you. Their Corporate office does not care either and they will not answer "option 2" ie Manage Existing Service. Please try calling 800-837-6464 option 2 and NO ONE WILL ANSWER. It starts on top. If the Corp office won't answer, why would a local branch? I've been charged $134 per service during covid despite no one servicing our house. Terminex came 3x for an infestation of bedbugs in my condo. They charged $900. They only checked one room, the bedroom and only sprayed. When asked if they could come back again because I was still being bitten they said my contract was up and they wanted $750. There was no guarantee that they will even get rid of them! I had mice and they stood me up 4 times, and came to my home on other occasions and didn't call first when I specifically asked the person (incompetent) to make a note to call when they are a few minutes out. Would give no stars if possible. We were told that we had to clear 12to18" away from foundation and then rake away pebbles etc. They came and we're too lazy to do it the right way. They went all the way to the sidewalk, 4'! And killed all our plants. This was the easy way out. Neighbor said tent was not on for 24hrs. Can't get through to the upper management. While the pest control service itself was great, they do a poor job of communicating changes to service dates. On a lot of occasions service dates were changed online on me without notice. I've been with this company since 2017. Every service went well The technician was always prompt and gave a courtesy call the day before and about 30 minutes prior to arrival on the day of service. Unfortunately that technician left the company. I had a scheduled service this past weekend (4/27/19) with a new technician by the name of Robert Sanchez. Robert never showed up nor called, therefore, my home wasn't treated. I called the company to see what happened and the result I got was: placed on hold for over 25 minutes and then call got disconnected. I paid a year advance on a yearly Terminix service. They NEVER contacted me by saying my contract was up, instead they charged me for a service I thought was still included. When I called to inquire, they said they can only credit the new charge if I renew ANOTHER yearly contract with them. BTW: beware they end your contract at the end of the previous month you signed. So if you paid 6.10.12, contract ends 5.31.12. Do not fall for their gimmicks and whatever you do, do not sign for a yearly contract. They are a rip off. read more

I recently hired Terminix to do work at my home in West Palm Beach. I was not aware there are charges one year later on one of the items if you choose their finance plan. When I called them to discuss I got a real run around. People do not return phone calls, and do not keep their promises. I spoke with a manager after my sales rep Steven Bloem didn't seem interested in helping me. His name is Les Wattenberg. At first he tried to help me but when I couldn't get my hands on my revised paperwork I called him twice and sent a text and have never heard back from him. Steven said to call their finance division SMAC to get my paperwork but they had me on hold for 31 minutes so I hung up and called back today, same thing. I really like my local technician Dennis Jackson but everyone else at the company has been a real disappointment. I would not recommend this company, very frustrating to deal with. Make sure they show up. I had an experience they never showed up with 8-5pm for tenting. They claimed when they showed up at 7pm because they fell behind due to bad storms. I would give it Terminix zero stars! They never show up for appointments on time and sometimes not at all. They never call back when promised. Basically, they SUCK. We discovered our house had termites in April. Despite numerous attempts and phone calls, it took them until July to come measure our house for tenting. Now that measurements are complete, they tell us that we can't be tented until October. Meanwhile, my house is being eaten by termites for +6mo. The poor service is not the fault of the technicians. The company is understaffed. Our technician told us that they are expected to make 4 house calls in one hour which is impossible. And you can never get through to the local branch. The 800 number / phone system is just a maze to keep you waiting. They just pass you from representative to representative where you have to repeat the same information over and over again. After they tent our house we will be switching companies. The only reason I am not switching sooner is because the tenting is included in our policy. Avoid Terminix like the plague! I tried to hire terminex to tent my house for termites and it has been a disaster. Despite setting my appt for a specific date three months in advance and having spoken to their salesman and scheduling operator they decided to change my appointment twice without my knowledge the week of my requested appointment. I only found out my appointment had been changed bacaude I reached out to the salesman with a question about the process. They then tried to force me to go for the appointments of their choosing. In orde for me to be able to tent my house it requires me to rent another house for the weekend, take time off work, and mobilize my mother/grandmother/2 dogs out of the house. This is all extremely difficult to make happen at the same time. But terminex didn't seem to care as they did not honor my original appointment and instead insulted me by offering a $150 discount (the house rental was more than that). Needless to say I cancelled the entire thing and will be going with another company even if I have to pay more mon read more

I have termites. I called for an estimate +was told someone would be out Friday,Memorial Day weekend, between 3-5pm. I changed my plans to be available + no one showed. I called at 4:45pm + was told they never gave me a time + someone will be out. I asked for confirmation, she put me on hold + reported he is NOT answering his phone. As a Terminix customer for the past 15 years and watching service down hill. We recently had some swarming and Terminix did everything not to re-tent the house after 10 years. They wanted to treat areas little by little - count the endless appointments that you have to sit and wait! Not to mention the rude behavior we experienced. Anyway, then they re-tented - did a half-a$$ job - broken a statue base; broke a sprinkler pipe(????); and randomly covered plants with the tent which didn't need to be covered. And by the way, 10 years ago when they did it - you know - when they WANT a customer - they did a great job - in fact we didn't see a bug in our house for months! Well, after this time - we still saw bugs walking around. Anyway, thought i'd share - i really liked Terminix UNTIL i actually needed them! Shows the true customer service! The most God-awful business EVER! They force you to stay on the line for 30 minutes listenting to their drone marketing - absolutely PAINFUL. Their services are just as bad. Do yourself and favor and RUN. Captain Termite is 100% the opposite. They answer the phone, follow up, and their services are great and low cost. I don't have a clue how Terminix stays in business. One fine afternoon someone knocked on our door.... his name was jayson and works for Terminix. He said they had some reports of an influx of bugs in the houses and asked if we had any problems.... funny question because we actually have found a couple unwanted friends here and there, but nothing serious. He said the treatment is over 200$ but since there are so many of us in the neighborhood using them he would give us a deal of 85$. We decided to do it because who wants to see creepy crawlers so he set us up with an appointment (1st appointment) just a couple days away. 1st appointment comes and no one shows....... The day after we get a call from Charles confirming our 1st appointment but we told him it was supposed to be for the previous day. So we scheduled our (2nd appointment) with Charles for Saturday...... Saturday comes and guess what, there is no sign of Charles. So we call Terminix and they said he couldn't get through the gate. First of all that's a lie because the gate will call, second of all Charles never sent the notification that said he was on his way (because he never was.) Customer service said they would reschedule but they didn't have anything open until the following Saturday. At that time we were so frustrated we never scheduled an appointment but they said they would call us Tuesday to see if they had anything open up. Tuesday came and they never called. Sooooo here comes Wednesday..... guess what we get???? A call from the front gate letting us know Terminix is here and they need to be added (funny this didn't happen on Saturday right????) We add Charles to the list and he comes to the house. I meet him outside and tell him we weren't expecting him and we never received an appointment. He didn't apologize he just rudely stated "I'm here now do you want me to do it or not." Deep down I wanted to tell him to go screw himself, but I know it's been so hard to get these damn people out to spray. So I let him go about his business. He didn't do crap, sprayed a couple places and was in and out real quick. Didn't give us any information on what he was doing or using. Charles looked like he not only hated his life but he was a horrible representation of what a company should hire. This is the worst company I've had to deal with. Due to a warranty on a service they performed last year in October and my desire not to spend further money on something which may not have even been an issue I was forced to call Terminix to have them come to the house and take a look. SMH. BIG Mistake. I should have just bit the bullet and called the other company I'm using now. The CSR agent scheduled me for Thursday from 8 to 10. Guy never showed up between those hours. I called at 11a into the CSR center and spoke with a woman there. They tried to call the guy three times to get an ETA. No answer. She called the manager. I was told he would call me ASAP. The guy called me 15 minutes after that to tell me "I wasn't on his schedule on his IPAD." Now... I ALMOST accept that. HOWEVER, I had a missed call at 10:23am from the SAME PHONE NUMBER he's calling from. So if he didn't know he was supposed to come to me then why did he call me at that time and leave no voice mail. He left NO message and he lied.... EXACTLY WHY I WILL NEVER USE TERMINIX AGAIN. And I definitely HIGHLY RECOMMEND Anyone in my area NOT use them. EVER. read more
