Six months I think, it may have been 8 not sure. Hired Petri after having gone through multiple competing companies for lawn fertilizing and weed control. After the 3rd month lawn looked worse than when they started and just kept getting worse and worse every month. I complained every month! Was told every month, Oh we're going to increase the fertilizer that will take care of it. It never did!! I think the fertilizer they spray is simply H2O fertilizer!! Fired them and decided to do it myself. Bought the best rated granular slow release fertilizer and weed control, 2 months in now and my lawn is absolutely spectacular!! Nice thick GREEN no patches or weeds !! Stay away from all these lawn fertilizing companies. They are mostly all a scam!! read more

Long review. please read. Be warned. . On December 29th we found out that we had some bed bugs. We moved the bed to outside. Then we removed electrical face plates and put bedbug powder in the outlets. We then called our sales rep at Petri pest control She came out the next day , looked at furniture we put outside and confirmed we have bedbugs. She quoted $1,000.00 to treat 2 rooms ($500.00 each room) The rooms are approximately 12 feet by 10 feet each. The next day 2 "techs" arrived at our house. When they arrived there were no signs of bed bugs. (No infestation) They sprayed the base boards, dusted outlet I had already removed face plates and dusted and they put a spray on carpet in 1 of the rooms. They were at my house 12 minutes. They did not have to move any furniture. The bed was already outside so they did not treat a bed. I called the sales rep and told her the techs were at my house for 12 minutes and basically just sprayed the base board. They did not have to move furniture or treat a bed So how was this different than monthly service. I told her I felt ripped off. She said the GPS shows the techs being at my house more than 12 minutes. I sent her footage from security cameras of techs arriving, leaving and sitting in their truck for a while. She then had a manager call me. I told him for what was done, I feel ripped off. That I want his company to make money but the bill should be discounted .. He did not care. The next Tuesday the techs came and did another super fast treatment. Fast forward to a week later. I get a call from a tech at 5 pm. The tech said he was outside to come in and do an inspection. I told him that the company never called to make an appointment, that it is 5pm and we are leaving the house. I told him to have the company call me to schedule an appointment. 2 days later I get a report on the inspection that was NOT done. On the report it states that customer (me) told the tech to "FU". Not true !! So I texted the sales rep telling her this is not a true statement. I do not talk to any one that way. She texted back to please stop contacting her after hours and she would contact me the next day. I never heard from her. The point of this long review is that I found Petri to be the worse company I ever dealt with. I found them highly unprofessional. I found the treatment to be an absolute overpriced ripoff. Do not let any pest control company exploit your emotion about having bed bugs. Get a written agreement of exactly what they will do for their excessive fees. As a retired business owner and someone that helped train Fortune 500 companies, I can honestly say Petri is the most unprofessional company I have ever dealt with. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!! read more

Petri , was about the worst company I've ever used ! They strong armed me into paying $8000 for rat removable in my attics & termites in one side . Im a part time resident & was already home . They broke my ceiling in the half bath , broke 2 roof tiles that's going to cost me $500 to replace . We bought our home in 2013 and Petri was the company the previous family used, they have been great. Until they got bought by Rocket Pest Control. We made a payment over 18 days ago (Electronic Funds Transfer) and they never credited to my account. They called (robot caller) yesterday to advise we were past due. I called them immediately and provide proof of payment over two weeks ago. I asked if this would get in the way of our appointment today (Next day) and they made a call and said no, they would still come and service. After waiting an hour past my appointment time I called to find out they still hadn't found my $158 and had in fact cancelled our scheduled service. Been on the phone 20 minutes now and still no answer on why our scheduled appointment was canceled and further why we were not notified. We really liked the service from Petri, and now they are Rocket and we are going to find a new vendor. Bigger is NOT always better. Congrats on ruining a really good company. read more

I have used Petri for years. I am now having a problem with ants as well as Petri They are now using a call service and apparently the call service doesn't give a damn about making appointments and keeping them. I called once and was told they would come July 2 but they never showed up. When I called they told me my appointment was July 16. I was mad. I told them I have ants and I need them here and scheduled an appointment for today July 3 between 10-12. Again they didn't show up. I called again and s told me she could see I had an appointment between 10 -12 but it was on the appointments for a later time. When I asked why she couldn't tell me. Nor could she tell me when they would come. What's going on. I asked to speak to the owner but instead she told me she could escalate the service and speak to a branch manager she put me on hold and I got frustrated and finally hung up. read more

What a mess. - During the 2 days my building was tented and fumigated, no fewer than 5 different people randomly came and went from my unlocked condo. - One of my security cameras was unplugged and another was knocked over. - I was told that State law prohibited me from having a key to my own home in my possession while the property was being fumigated. - All of the plants in the front of my property that were at least two feet from the front wall were killed. - One of the workers dragged a chair from my patio without asking (see security cam photo) and used it to prop up a water hose. The chair was never returned. I realize it is extremely hot outside and this is hard work, but professionalism and basic respect of other's property still needs to be a standard. I go back to my condo tomorrow and don't know what awaits me inside. I figured I would give it a couple of extra days before we were given the green light to re-occupy the building... read more

"Petri" tented our property over 2 weeks ago. After several calls to our salesperson and to customer service /management we haven't gotten the courtesy of a return call. We have sent pics....no response. Garbage & food were left all over our property, a hole dug that wasn't filled in and our in ground plants were trampled. There are plenty other companies out there, that perform the same treatment, with better customer service. This company is a joke. Whatever issues you have with them goes unresolved. Had an issue with service and roaches and no matter how many times I called and left messages for someone to call me they did not. I advised the tech who came to get someone to call me and they did not. Noticed that they basically doubled my charges without notification, authorization which has to be illegal. We had used Petri for several years, the service was great UNTIL they sold out to Rocket. They applied granular fertilizer to our yard in October. Within days our yard was DEAD. I called, I called again, I CALLED - NOBODY CALLED BACK. Someone finally called back about 2 months later and at this point - I just canceled the service. It will cost over $5000.00 dollars to replace the grass. My neighbor still uses Petri - her lawn is a sea of BROWN. If I could give zero stars I would. I highly recommend you stay away from Petri Pest Control. We have a house in Broward County that has a small honey bee colony located in the soffit near our front porch. I called four different companies for estimates and Petri came at the lowest, so I signed a contract and then they went back on their word. Fortunately I cancelled before they did the job and am glad I did. Quote A was $425 to kill or $500 to also remove hive. Quote B was $275 to kill and $500 to kill & remove. Quote C was $625 to kill & remove. Petri was $400 so it looked like the best deal. I spoke with Jean Coriolan who said he could see the queen and would first spray to kill them all and come back a week later to re-treat and remove the hive that appeared to be on the inside of the soffit. He said they used a chemical that would coat everything that guarantees they do not come back. However, upon reviewing the actual contract, there were some huge discrepancies and incorrect info. #1) Contract said it was a "one time" treatment with "no guarantee". #2) Jean incorrectly put on contract "Carpenter Bees" when they were obviously Honey Bees. #3) Jean incorrectly put in wrong location saying bees were on "left front side of roof" not soffit, as roof is about 8-10 ft above the soffit. #4) Most importantly, there was no indication on contract that they would actually remove the hive. When I texted Jean to please clarify, and please add the words "Exterminate bees and remove any hive from soffit", he did not respond until 24 hours later but finally did reply via text "I apologize for the late reply. Give a few, and I will get it right back to you." So I called the office to schedule the service, but they said I needed to speak directly with Jean. When I finally got through to him the next day, he completely changed his tune. He said he did not realize, but after speaking with the technician, they cannot remove the hive due to "liability." I told him that is not what he verbally promised. He said, "what do you expect for $400?" He then tried to reassure me that, even if the hive IS left behind, they have a special chemical treatment that coats the hive and guarantees the bees do not return. This is complete BS to anyone who knows anything about bees and the pheromones left behind in an existing hive. If it remains, they almost always try to come back. Meanwhile, I have been trying (for FOUR STRAIGHT DAYS NOW) to get through to a supervisor or manager in the office to discuss, and this has been completely unsuccessful. Four different reps (some appeared to be outsourced overseas) have promised that a supervisor would call me back and no one has even tried. Yesterday, I spoke w Jonathan who said he was transferring me to supervisor Nathanial. After 20 min of explaining everything to Nathanial, he finally said, "I will need to escalate this and have a supervisor call you back." I said that "I was told YOU were a supervisor!" He said, "No. But I promise a supervisor will call you right back." It is now 24 hours later and I am still waiting!! The worst part was then when the original guy Jean called me and started yelling and cursing at me because he keeps getting calls from corporate and that I need to find another company to do the job! I told him he was dishonest, did not keep his word, and does not know what he is talking about, since he doesn't know the difference between honey and carpenter bees, he doesn't know the difference between a soffit and a roof, and he's spreading mistruths about being able to coat an existing hive with chemicals to guarantee bees will not return, but yet will not put that in writing. I then emailed the company to please cancel the existing contract #934192 and to confirm the cancellation. Am STILL WAITING for ANY RESPONSE! read more

Outstanding service provided by Petri. They are extremely knowledgeable and professional. We had a problem with sugar ants and called a national pest control chain who just put out small ant traps. When I called Petri, they sent out a technician who identified the source of the problem and quickly eliminated all ants. We've been a customer for over a year and to date never had sugar ants again! Signed a 12 month agreement for 6 shrub sprayings @$300 each. Without notice they raised the price to $330 and charged my card. A vendor cant unilaterally change the terms agreed to for a fixed service. I sent them email notice that i wanted to cancel. I called and tried to cancel as well and was on hold for 15 minutes - never got to speak to anyone. Late July 2024 even sent a hard copy letter cancelling and stating why. I never received any reply from them but they just called and said they would be out to spray tomorrow (9/5). Huh? Very disappointed not only because they raised the price after i signed an agreement but the handling of this cancellation has been awful. read more

Petri used to be the best pest control. They were purchased by Rocket Pest Control and went as far south as you can go, at least in the experience of myself and my tenants. I called them for a rodent problem, they didn't even walk the perimiter of my house to look for entry points, not did they even go in the attic, they just said the problem was in the roof, NOT! I had 3 other individuals check and they clearly found the entrance from the outside of the house and roof was sealed. Petri/Rocket set a couple traps, only for 4 days of the week, they wouldn't let them stay active over the weekend (said the 3 day weekend was too many days, but the 4 day week wasn't - go figure?). Continually missed appointments, didn't call back, I continually got disconnected, they promised service that never happened, would say to call back cause they weren't able to cancel service at that time and the list goes on and on. It is now Oct and I am still waiting for call backs from months ago. I disputed their $400 charge and they wasted no time responding to the credit card company to get that money back in their hands, clearly their priority over customer service. I spoke with one representative who looked over the notes, said I was in the right, transferred me to the person who could make it right and he was very NON service oriented, would not make the service right nor would he refund my $$$. Considerable time passed where they did not provide adequate service, my rodents had plenty of time to multiply and I had no choice but to go with another company, Orkin (who by the way has been awesome). Use this company if you want a yard full of weeds and their deceptive practices. Their representative came out in January 2023. I agreed to their service but told them I did NOT want insecticide. The rep agreed and sent me a contract including insecticide. I pointed that out and he told me "Why not? You're paying for it anyways." He said all their formula is the same and he can't make a special mix just for us. I told him I did not want their service as we have ducks, neighborhood cats, birds, squirrels, etc. that come to our yard and would be eating poisoned prey. He went around me and got my husband to sign a one year contract! We immediately tried to cancel when we found out but Petri said "Too bad." We still have everything from dandelions, dollar weeds and every other type of weed in our yard. In August we were verbally told our contract would be cancelled. Today I received notice Petri would be out Friday. I called to say we had cancelled and been confirmed. The lady on the phone said "You can't cancel, you have a contract." We've been using Petri's for over 4 years. As a landlord, the quality of their work was always an abstract notion to me, so much so that I never even thought about writing a review. They sent me emails to let me know when quarterly exterior sprays were done and I'd get an interior report here and there over the years. That was the extent of the experience. After a tenant recently vacated a property, we happened to be in state and personally discovered a pest issue. Petri's came to spray, but not only was the issue not resolved, it got worse over the following days. We called up to let them know it was still going on, so they came a week later to spray again. Unfortunately though, the situation persisted and actually got worse. When we called up to let them know about the worsening issue, they scheduled a supervisor to come out and inspect. We waited around for an hour plus on the day of the appointment, but they didn't even show up or call to say they'd be late or not arriving. When we called the office we were told they were closed. Total waste of time and very disrespectful to a long time customer. Frustrated with our experience and utilizing a recommendation from a colleague, we decided to contact another company who sent a top guy out the next day, which happened to be a weekend day. Not only did he show up on time, he did a thorough and comprehensive job, attacking the issues from multiple angles (not just spraying and leaving). He also took a good 20 minutes to answer questions. Finally, he told us that Petri's had misdiagnosed the pest issue, so Petri's couldn't even figure out what type of pest they were seeing in front of their eyes. I hate to have to write a review like this, but I feel like we gave Petri's a fair shot but their approach was overly simplistic, basically; spray spray spray and it just didn't work. Unfortunately this one dimensional and ineffective strategy coupled with their supervisor's no show left me feeling like it's time to move on. We will be canceling immediately. read more

Petri can be counted on for quality customer service. I contracted with Petri for termite fumigation. They subcontracted the job out, which I agreed to ahead of time. Unfortunately the subcontractor did a poor job. However, Petri took responsibility for the poor quality of the subcontractor's work and made the service shortfall right. I have respect for their willingness to take care of me as their customer. I expect you will find their service to be of similar quality. read more

I had to call Petri Pest Control because one of my tenants complained about live roaches in his place. Alonso arrived on time and was so nice to work with. He explained the process and what each product does, sprayed everywhere, put powder in the walls (as an extra precaution to make sure that all bugs bite the dust) and checked every niche to see if there are potential sources. He found the source (loose screen), and I was able to take care of it. They also came for a follow up and re-sprayed for free. My tenant didn't have anymore encounters and is happy. read more

I called 3 major companies to come out and discuss solutions and decided to go with Petri after talking to Kevin Creary. Kevin was very knowledgeable and professional in his presentation. Ultimately he was the reason I chose Petri. A few days later Ellie Pagan ( tech) arrived wearing mask and shoe coverings and applied the treatment as requested. Again, very professional in his approach to doing his work. Here it is a few days later and so far so good....last night NO ANTS!!!!! I was Alerted by security camera.  This Moron enters my property and starts dragging a broom across my window track's and walls.  Over the years we have a couple birds that lay there eggs on on our back bay window track, needless to say Petri pest control Exterminated the baby birds. My last lawn and pest control guy disappeared off face of the earth. I interviewed several more companies a few and most were ridiculously expensive. I hired Petri Pest Control a few months ago since they were reasonable, knowledgeable and responsive. Today they came out to service my lawn which is small but has lots of bushes and plants. Anil was patient and took the time to go over with me the problems my lawn had (fungus) and how it develops on peoples lwans. He explained how he was going to address the issues as well as ways I could make improvements. He was honest, not rushing to get in and out and very professional. He even adjusted the timing on my sprinkler system. I highly recommend this company for your lawn and pest control needs. read more
