Nearly two years ago, my husband and I moved to a house in Geneva, and our finished basement was overrun with spiders. I was hesitant to call Joe because he is based in Carol Stream, making Geneva a bit of a hike, but after killing 14 spiders in our basement bathroom one day, and finding 10 there the next day, I could not cope anymore. Joe was happy to come out and give our house a thorough spray against pests. He does an extremely thorough job, even going into our crawl space to treat it as well. He would wait until the wee hours and feast in the pantry... leaving droppings and crumbs inside the cabinet (inconsiderate)! I called my condo building's vendor for pest control--they said they were not available until the next week AND would only lay bait traps in my house, not try to find the source of the problem. I asked one of my friends for a pest control referral and they too weren't able to come out for a week. After searching online, I decided to call Diamond. They were able to come the very next morning (a Sunday) and I asked that they come as early as possible. Brian arrived on time at 8:30am and took the time to investigate the problem by moving my appliances to find the source of the problem. The culprit: a hole around our oven's gas line providing access to our kitchen and ultimately, to the pantry. Brian sealed it immediately (as well as patched some other potential problem areas) and the price was extremely reasonable. Its been months and we haven't had a problem since. We appreciated Brian's work so much, he will now become our entire building's pest control vendor (we fired those other guys).

They evidently have found a host in me and I have several bites which I didn't know were bedbug bites. The condo has an exterminator who to carry out the treatment explained that before he could even do the treatment we would have to prepare by emptying out all our draws, flipping the furniture and moving furniture away from the wall as well as removing the pictures from the wall. All items in draws need to be put in garbage bags and run through the dryer for at least 15 minutes on high. This has to be done for the bedding too. Ivan was recommended to come and treat and take away the headboards and help us prepare for the exterminator. Thank god for Ivan because we could not have been prepared to allow treatment without him. He did everything quickly and efficiently and he has made himself available for questions. I would highly recommend him if you unfortunately find that you have had a bedbug invasion. He is truly a professional who does an excellent job.

He laid both snap traps and glue traps, leaving them in boxes which I appreciate because when our condo association has someone come in a few years ago they just left glue traps out in the open (yuck).
