I had a rat in my unfinished basement and didn't have any luck with foam sealing and trapping, so turned to the pros. They came out, found the real entrance (a burrow by the front porch undermined the sewer line and they got in there and found an old poorly capped toilet to actually get in), sealed everything up, and put out more traps. 10 minutes after leaving, one of the traps caught a ginormous rat and they came right back out to deal with it (it wasn't dead) at 5 pm on a Friday, saving me that unpleasant task. When they came out to give me an estimate they basically said they didn't want to sell a subscription, they want to come once and be done. Too many services have the exact opposite attitude, so great to deal with a company that does things right. read more

I called them up back in 2020 and scouted around my house and found the results to why I was having a mice infestation. I was about to go with their services but I got his with COVID-19 and when I recovered we did extensive basement work and did not have time to call up an exterminator. 3 days ago a huge huge rat snuck in when I took my dog outside and honestly Mickey the Rat kept evading my little glue traps. I figured it was time to call them up and they gave suggestions on how to kill the rat. The guy was very courteous and set up a trap since it would be more effective with a professional. Living in Chicago and near several restaurants it was always obvious that we would have rats scurrying around. This year rather than trying to manage the problem I wanted a long term solution. When searching for pest control, Sergio stuck out, he didn't simply come in and kill a few rats and leave, he promised to get to the source of the problem.  Since working with Sergio I couldn't be happier. On his first inspection it was obvious that he is passionate about his work and knows what he's doing. Sergio and team found all of the areas that rats were burrowing and removed them immediately. After that he got into the "ratscaping" phase of his work, where he placed a strong wire underneath the soil on our patio and around any pathways for rats. This stops any new rats for burrowing on our property. We have a 120yo house, with a lot of "personality." It was gut-rehabbed a while ago. Poorly. The crawl space below the house was the stuff of nightmares. It took me several weekends with a mask, goggles and a mini shop-vac to reclaim it from spiders and vermin inch by inch. That worked for a while, but rats kept coming back, and then we noticed droppings from a much larger guest. I wasn't about to wheel around on a crawler with what might be a rabid racoon. Enter Sergio. He hopped on the crawler, did an inventory, discovered over half a dozen potential entry points, and came up with inexpensive and creative ways to block them. His son Jonathan did much of the work. I had a rat infestation in my garage and they were also in the yard. These guys came out and solved the problem in one day with reasonable rates. They dug around 2 sides of my garage and installed chicken wire to keep the rats from digging under. They put wire and metal panels to cover holes and below the fence. They trapped and removed the rats that were living in the garage. I haven't had any rats since and it's been a year. They also came back to solve a mouse in the house problem too. Closed up openings and put poison in the wall and we haven't had a mouse since. They reduced my pigeon problem. They're not totally gone, but they were the least of my worries. This company is the only company I found in Chicago that is actually interested in solving the root cause of the problem v. a symptom. We had a serious rabbit problem with them eating our plants and pooping EVERYWHERE. A bunch of other companies wanted me to sign up for weekly or monthly catch subscriptions, including spraying coyote urine in our yard (seriously!) Sergio suggested putting up exclusion barriers and said catching was silly unless I was going to catch all of the rabbits in the neighborhood (I'm not :)). He came over, was extremely thorough and efficient, and the price was quite reasonable - especially when compared to what other companies were quoting for catching. I have had a few pest companies try to address the rat problem we have had on and off in the crawl space of our house. More often than not they sell me a contract and bait the rats regularly. This solution has worked but this being CHICAGO, the rats always come back. I needed the "big guns" when a rat entered the living area of my house, specifically my bedroom, at 4:00 am. Unhinged by the experience I contacted several companies and most wanted to come and bait. Sergio of Anti-Pest Chicagoland instead wanted to address the real and fixable problem--the rat holes made between my wood frame house and cement foundation. Very unprofessional. I set up an appointment a week ago, but when the day came for the exterminator to show up, I didn't hear from anyone. I called the numbers listed on their Yelp page and their website, but both went to a weird voicemail. An hour had passed after my scheduled appointment, and still no word. Finally I get a call from the person I set up the appointment with. She apologized for the "unprofessional" behavior and informed me that the exterminator's car AND phone were not working. I understood and rescheduled for the next day - But I asked her if she could call me to confirm when the exterminator would be on his way, which she agreed to. Had a great experience with this company! I called around numerous places to help me with my bagworm infestation in my tree outside, the only option other companies gave was to spray the tree but no one would remove and clean them off. This company responded to my request, were able to come out within a couple days and Jonathan spent almost 2 hours cleaning the tree and removing all the disgusting bagworms off. Not to mention it was 95 deg hot outside! He was very patient and understanding as well because I didn't want to come near them nor touch them. He used a powder non harsh chemical treatment that covered the treat and killed them. They also gave a guarantee that they wouldn't come back and he also came back after 2 wks as a follow up and to clean off the rest of the powder and tree.
