Just a great family-owned business that still values great customer service. I'm a renter, and Anti Pest Chicagoland was contracted for my building through my landlord, but I was still blown away by how kind and helpful Sergio and his team were. I needed help changing a burned-out lightbulb on the side of my building's exterior, and they were kind enough to help out, no questions asked, while making friendly conversation. I would have no hesitation calling them myself if I ever needed their services again. read more

Sergio did an amazing job cleaning and removing a pigeon nest from my balcony. He was prompt in responding, reliable, and did a great job. I highly recommend. read more

Anti Pest did a great job of removing a yellow jacket nest that had formed inside the garage. Their price was competitive, Sergio came as scheduled. He was very knowlegdeable and explained everything that had to be done. I will use them again in the future. read more

After several calls, texts and attempts to schedule service, I received no response or follow-up. This was very disappointing and frustrating. read more

I had a rat in my unfinished basement and didn't have any luck with foam sealing and trapping, so turned to the pros. They came out, found the real entrance (a burrow by the front porch undermined the sewer line and they got in there and found an old poorly capped toilet to actually get in), sealed everything up, and put out more traps. 10 minutes after leaving, one of the traps caught a ginormous rat and they came right back out to deal with it (it wasn't dead) at 5 pm on a Friday, saving me that unpleasant task. When they came out to give me an estimate they basically said they didn't want to sell a subscription, they want to come once and be done. Too many services have the exact opposite attitude, so great to deal with a company that does things right. read more

They are great. They don't go crazy with chemicals. Old school and effective recommend them highly.

Sergio is very knowledgeable and friendly, tries to understand the problem instead of selling you on something.

Scheduled an appointment with Sergio on Wednesday for Friday between 12-4. Despite reminders, he failed to ask for my address. Coordinating between 3 units, 6 of us waited until I called at 3:50 to find out they scheduled for next Friday. Unbelievable incompetence! They ditched us after confirming the appointment for this Friday over the phone. Left us with the same pest issue and 6 furious tenants who wasted their day. Avoid this unreliable mess and find a pest control service worth your time and money! read more

I called them up back in 2020 and scouted around my house and found the results to why I was having a mice infestation. I was about to go with their services but I got his with COVID-19 and when I recovered we did extensive basement work and did not have time to call up an exterminator. 3 days ago a huge huge rat snuck in when I took my dog outside and honestly Mickey the Rat kept evading my little glue traps. I figured it was time to call them up and they gave suggestions on how to kill the rat. The guy was very courteous and set up a trap since it would be more effective with a professional. Later that evening, Mickey the Rat ended up in the trap. I am so happy our pest problem is gone. I definitely highly recommend their services. read more

Anti Pest Chicagoland - I am glad they set up a solid trap to kill this Mickey the Rat. I definitely never seen a rat this big in my life. - Pest Control Near Me

Great timely service and follow-up. I highly recommend this company for your pest removal needs and reasonable.

I hired this company back in 2021 and John, the technician we got, did an amazing job. He only needed to come back once for a follow up but we didn't see any pests at that time. Recently we hired him back and he was very nice, informative and sealed everything up again. I am super happy with their job and would highly recommend them. read more

We have a 120yo house, with a lot of "personality." It was gut-rehabbed a while ago. Poorly. The crawl space below the house was the stuff of nightmares. It took me several weekends with a mask, goggles and a mini shop-vac to reclaim it from spiders and vermin inch by inch. That worked for a while, but rats kept coming back, and then we noticed droppings from a much larger guest. I wasn't about to wheel around on a crawler with what might be a rabid racoon. Enter Sergio. He hopped on the crawler, did an inventory, discovered over half a dozen potential entry points, and came up with inexpensive and creative ways to block them. His son Jonathan did much of the work. An old exposed pipe was blocked, several entries into the crawl space from the side of the house blocked, concrete poured to fill in gaps to steps leading into crawl space, side yard dug up and chickenwire added to block access from the outside, metal flashing attached and color matched to gap below front porch... it was magical. Then they came out 2 weeks later to reevaluate. Compare this to Rose Pest Solutions. They came out, refused to explore the crawl space, blamed the steps, then sent a bill for the estimate and useless traps. We feel lucky to have found Anti Pest. read more

Living in Chicago and near several restaurants it was always obvious that we would have rats scurrying around. This year rather than trying to manage the problem I wanted a long term solution. When searching for pest control, Sergio stuck out, he didn't simply come in and kill a few rats and leave, he promised to get to the source of the problem.  Since working with Sergio I couldn't be happier. On his first inspection it was obvious that he is passionate about his work and knows what he's doing. Sergio and team found all of the areas that rats were burrowing and removed them immediately. After that he got into the "ratscaping" phase of his work, where he placed a strong wire underneath the soil on our patio and around any pathways for rats. This stops any new rats for burrowing on our property. Sergio knows his stuff and this was really effective, but what impressed me most was how beautiful he and his team made the landscaping after placing down the wire. It looked better than before he got there! Lastly, as any Chicagoan knows, rats don't just disappear forever. This is where Sergio shines, he was pragmatic that there would need to be repeat visits to ensure he got everything (all included in the upfront cost so no surprises). He's a man of his word and anytime I think I found a soft spot, he or his team is there quickly to inspect and fix. I would highly recommend Sergio to any family, friend or business that is in need of pest control. -Matt read more

My tenant called and said there were multiple issues with pest and I started looking on Yelp. Anti Pest Chicago had great reviews so I called them and explained the situation. I had called several other companies with great reviews on Yelp and they didn't have any immediate openings to inspect the issue. When I spoke with Anti Pest Chicagoland, not only were they able to service me immediately, they came a couple hours later, resolved the issue and were cheaper than their initial quote. Sergio and his son are not only professional but they are respectful and courteous to their customers. If any issues arise again, I would have no hesitation to reach out to Anti Pest control again. read more

I had a family of large rats burrowing under my cement patio. I must have spoken to nearly 10 pest control companies. All of them suggested poison boxes. Poison boxes would be an ongoing expense, and it's honestly unfair to expect them not to return as my neighbors have chickens in the city. Anti Pest Chicagoland came with a solution to add a barrier below ground that they cannot chew through to stop them from burrowing. It's worked wonders and I couldn't be happier. I initially saw shallow holes where they tried to return, and were unsuccessful because of the barrier. They gave me the best solution and did a phenomenal job. I can not recommend them enough!! read more

Sergio and his son Jonathan are fantastic. They came by today to help with a critter problem and they did the job well. They also found and patched the holes that the animals could use to get into my attic. They were both very pleasant and friendly people and charged a fair price. I would absolutely recommend them for critter control work. read more

Top notch! Very knowledgeable and professional. Sergio knew just what to do to get rid of squirrels that had made their way under my roof. Highly recommend! read more

After a really bad rain storm, we got a visitor (racoon) that decided to take refuge in the space between our bedroom ceiling and roof. After a couple of days of listening to the racoon running around the top of our heads we decided to contact Anti-Pest based off the reviews. The responded right away. Sergio (the owner) was on time and was super friendly! My husband and I had previously found an entry point, but Sergio found another as well. After confirming that our guest was gone, he sealed off the entry points and gave us great suggestions on how to prevent future raccoon visitors. Sergio and his company are true professionals and experts at what they do. No gimmicks, no constant barrage of marketing add-ons, just great service. I have already shared their info with my neighbors since we seem to be having a racoon infestation on our entire block. read more

Sergio dug under my front porch where rats and mice were having a grand old time. He also sealed areas around the building, and sealed areas throughout both units of the building. He has excellent service. I was able to see a difference immediately. However, months later I am started to see droppings again, and actually found a dead mouse on a trap in the basement. I will be calling him back out for a follow-up visit. I am confident in his work. He's a cool dude, and will take care of you. read more

Sergio did an EXCELLENT job investigating and attending to the squirrel problem in our attic, showing us pictures of the damage done and making repairs where they were needed. Highly recommended! read more

I had a rat infestation in my garage and they were also in the yard. These guys came out and solved the problem in one day with reasonable rates. They dug around 2 sides of my garage and installed chicken wire to keep the rats from digging under. They put wire and metal panels to cover holes and below the fence. They trapped and removed the rats that were living in the garage. I haven't had any rats since and it's been a year. They also came back to solve a mouse in the house problem too. Closed up openings and put poison in the wall and we haven't had a mouse since. They reduced my pigeon problem. They're not totally gone, but they were the least of my worries. The workers were nice and worked hard and I was comfortable asking questions. They felt trustworthy. I won't go anywhere else for pest problems for now on! read more

I live in a high rise and discovered that I had tons of small spiders located in my windows and I freaked out! Having just moved to the area, I had no idea who to use for pest control. I got on Yelp and found this business and called Sergio. He was very understanding and accommodating. He had his tech come to my home within 2 hours of my call! I was very impressed with the tech and with the company. The tech explained why I was getting spiders and gave me tips on what to do in the future. While they are a bit pricey, they do offer a 60 day warranty and if needed, they will come back for no additional charge and spray again within the timeframe. read more

Very responsive! After connecting via phone, he came out the next day and took care of the nest on the second floor without any problems. Definitely would recommend! read more

I cannot recommend Anti Pest more. After calling a number of places looking for help with an issue, Anti Pest returned my phone call and set up a timely appointment with a 2 hour window. John then contacted me by text giving an update on arrival. He was so helpful, coming back twice to insure the problem was solved. The price was reasonable and clearly communicated. I hope to not need their services again, but will absolutely use this company if needed. If you need help with any pests in Chicago, contact them first. read more

I have had a few pest companies try to address the rat problem we have had on and off in the crawl space of our house. More often than not they sell me a contract and bait the rats regularly. This solution has worked but this being CHICAGO, the rats always come back. I needed the "big guns" when a rat entered the living area of my house, specifically my bedroom, at 4:00 am. Unhinged by the experience I contacted several companies and most wanted to come and bait. Sergio of Anti-Pest Chicagoland instead wanted to address the real and fixable problem--the rat holes made between my wood frame house and cement foundation. After he took time to explain to me where the rats were entering, what needed fixing, his approach made perfect sense and I hired him. I really like that this is a family business as Sergio and his son Javier take exceptional pride in their work. I watched as they surrounded the base of my house in rat-proof wire mesh that is drilled in on one side to the wood frame and then the other end is buried several inches underground thereby creating a barrier to burrowing. In addition to rat-proofing Anti-Pest also covered the eaves and outdoor vents in wire mesh to keep birds from building their nests inside. I highly recommend Anti-Pest to friends and neighbors. read more

This company is the only company I found in Chicago that is actually interested in solving the root cause of the problem v. a symptom. We had a serious rabbit problem with them eating our plants and pooping EVERYWHERE. A bunch of other companies wanted me to sign up for weekly or monthly catch subscriptions, including spraying coyote urine in our yard (seriously!) Sergio suggested putting up exclusion barriers and said catching was silly unless I was going to catch all of the rabbits in the neighborhood (I'm not :)). He came over, was extremely thorough and efficient, and the price was quite reasonable - especially when compared to what other companies were quoting for catching. As someone else noted, the communication was a little haphazard, but it was definitely worth sticking with this company and Sergio, and I can't recommend them enough. Thanks! read more

Sergio was amazing. Showed up on time, was extremely personable, and took care of our mouse problem. I would definitely use his services again. read more

Sergio to the rescue again! Not only one of kind of bees, but TWO under our front porch and right near the mailbox! we were nervous for anyone approaching our home and afraid to open our front door in case a bee flew in the door. He came our right away and charged up such a FAIR FEE in comparison to what others seem to overprice. We are so grateful that the bees have located elsewhere and we are way more relaxed now, especially with children here. THANK YOU, Sergio. You are our hero :) read more

Very unprofessional. I set up an appointment a week ago, but when the day came for the exterminator to show up, I didn't hear from anyone. I called the numbers listed on their Yelp page and their website, but both went to a weird voicemail. An hour had passed after my scheduled appointment, and still no word. Finally I get a call from the person I set up the appointment with. She apologized for the "unprofessional" behavior and informed me that the exterminator's car AND phone were not working. I understood and rescheduled for the next day - But I asked her if she could call me to confirm when the exterminator would be on his way, which she agreed to. The next day came, and I never got a single call. I trusted the good reviews on Yelp about these guys, but it was too good to be true. Very unprofessional, don't waste your time. read more

Terrible service. I called them out for a job and they came to see what needed to be done. Since then I've had to call them THREE times to get the written proposal and price from them. We noticed noises in the attic for a week or two, so we looked at some places on here, before calling Anti Pest. We called on a Wednesday, and Javier came out, on time, and diagnosed the issue(squirrel) on Friday. He gave us a very reasonable price as well. He came on time Monday, and did what needed to be done. Noise was over that day, and it has been a week and a half since, with no recurrence. To top it off, he's a great guy! Very friendly and answers any questions you may have. Highly recommended. read more

This family-owned business hit a home run for us. Sergio the owner came out and gave a free consultation which took about 15 minutes. When he came out to do the job, it was thorough and quality, and he delivered on everything he quoted within budget. We had a uninvited guest in our attic and needed help. After a search of the best rated companies around, we found Anti Pest Chicagoland. The owner, Sergio, got back to us immediately and was here the next day. After a knowledgeable search, Sergio quickly found the hole where the squirrel was entering/exiting our house. After a thorough search of the attic to make sure our new resident was gone for the day, Sergio repaired and reinforced the screen that was bent, so we will be pest free! The total cost was very reasonable and Sergio is professional, polite and highly efficient/effective. I highly recommend him for all your Pest problems- he handles it all (children not included). read more

Had a great experience with this company! I called around numerous places to help me with my bagworm infestation in my tree outside, the only option other companies gave was to spray the tree but no one would remove and clean them off. This company responded to my request, were able to come out within a couple days and Jonathan spent almost 2 hours cleaning the tree and removing all the disgusting bagworms off. Not to mention it was 95 deg hot outside! He was very patient and understanding as well because I didn't want to come near them nor touch them. He used a powder non harsh chemical treatment that covered the treat and killed them. They also gave a guarantee that they wouldn't come back and he also came back after 2 wks as a follow up and to clean off the rest of the powder and tree. I must of had 1000 of these in the tree and was hard to get all, but he was diligent and patient! Thanks to them they are gone and my tree is recovering nicely! read more

Anti Pest Chicagoland - This is what they look liked. Look like normal dead leaves, but inside were worms! Ughh! - Pest Control Near Me

Sergio and crew are the most honest, friendly, thorough and knowledgeable service providers I've come across in a long time. Even though they deal in the most unpleasant subject matter, they actually seem to like what they do and it shows. They take the time to explain the ins and outs of rodent behavior and stand by their work which is excellent. We had a rat issue that they took care of after laying traps, plugging holes and laying wire mess around the perimeter of our house. It worked. The even came for a free and thorough follow up visit. No sign of those awful critters since then and it's been several months. I can finally rest peacefully. I highly recommend Anti Pest Chicagoland without hesitation. They are worth every penny. read more

Like CSI for Bugs! They are NOT a one size fits all kind of service (ehem..orkin/terminex) They asked useful questions on the first call to get a sense of pets/kids, my home's layout as well as the frequency, duration and a description of critter they were up against. I had seen a handful of roaches in my unfinished basement and a few random ants in my mudroom over the past few weeks (the down side of mild winter I suppose). But I figured where there are 4 or 6 there might ohh..lots and lots! They made an appt at my leisure, called 20 minutes ahead to say they were en route and were done in no time. Many companies were ready to sell packages off the bat, but Anti-pest is a company you can trust that wants to educate you. Their staff was very knowledgeable, prompt and professional. They took the time to answer all my questions and were helpful as to strategies (caulking/weather stripping) that I could do on my own. Only after this convo did we discuss a 20 min spray of some baseboards and basement window sills...Tah-dah no more buggers and absolute peace of mind! read more
