    Chicken Teriyaki Bowl
    David C.

Teriyaki Madness is a chain teriyaki place that serves different kinds of bowls. They are all over the place! I ordered 20 bowls for my work team and it didn't let me order online due to time restraints (this was two hours before closing time) so I called in and that wasn't the best experience. It didn't seem like the manager knew how to properly put in an order over phone. The food itself was not that great. The chicken was not very flavorful and the bowl was 70% rice, 20% chicken, 10% vegetables. The bowl wasn't edible without the sauce provided.

Very disappointing meal. The chicken was very dry and they hardly had teriyaki sauce on the chicken. And to top it off, the meal gave me an upset stomach. Staff was really nice and the kid working the counter was very mature for his age. But I wish I had a better experience with their product.

    Incorrect plate orders with receipt

First time trying this place and was disappointed. Ordered two large two protein plates and both were incorrect. I thought I may have ordered wrong but as shown in pictures of both plates and receipts, it's correct. First plate Ordered- Teri steak/chicken katsu combo with white rice and stir fried veggies Received- Teri steak/Teri chicken with all broccoli Second plate ordered- Orange chicken/chicken katsu combo with white rice all broccoli Received-orange chicken/chicken breast with stir fried veggies. It also looked like the first plate was correct with the stir fried veggies because there was some left over zucchini and carrots under the broccoli, which tell me staff was lazy and careless. I also ordered online and had it delivered thru doordash so was unable to check it at the place and time, which I feel like i shouldn't have to do. I know people make mistakes I worked in the restaurant business myself but THIS was a bit much. Huge disappointment considering I was excited to eat here.

Used to be so much more chicken and veggies.

Teriyaki bowl used to be so good. My go to. Now... I'll never order from them again. Sad day.

The new way they serve Steak Teriyaki. Squares of leathery lunch meat.
    Kris H.

Recently (July/Aug 2023) teriyaki madness changed the beef they use in their beef dishes. It used to be tenderized chunks of fall-apart beef. Now it's thin strips of leathery lunch meat that is mostly gristle and fat. I tried the Johnstown and Greeley locations and both had this new meat that can best be described as looking like someone cut tongue depressors in half then mixed in some rubber bands so there would be two distinct textures. I'm guessing it was a cost saving effort from the sales reduction department. If you change it back, please reach out to me, so I will know it's safe to return, otherwise I'll eagerly be waiting to see what new restaurants lease your locations.

Doesn't look too bad! Just wish it was my order.

I will update this review after returning again because I understand they're just opening but the customer service and the utter lack of care that not only the management gave, but that the staff running around like headless chickens was unable to give, was beyond any dining experience I've ever had the nightmare of experiencing! Their food is mediocre, not any better than the other teriyaki options in the area, and they got my order wrong despite it being a customizable bowl. Now, I wouldn't even have written this review if it wasn't for the attitude that was passed around by every employee in the restaurant. The girl at the register was panicking because she couldn't balance the drawer so she asked a girl with a broom to take my order which was met with a "hang on I found a pair of purple sunglasses" at which point you would expect the "manager" to step in and say something like "oh hey let me take your order" or "hey, I'll find the owner of the glasses so someone can take care of this customer who has been waiting in an empty line for several minutes to order." But alas, none of this happened. I even stepped over to (what I assume was) a manager (who was less than 8 feet away of this entire interaction) and mentioned "wow, seems like you guys could use some help" to which it seemed like she agreed, however I think it was the first time she looked up from her paperwork to see what was actually going on in the restaurant. Like I said. I will return and give them another chance, perhaps in 5-6 months once they have their sea legs and their restaurant feels less like India on Holi. (I'm Indian, don't even attempt to make accusations)

The food and service was fantastic. This was our first time after waiting for them to open and they definitely came through.

Was looking for a different sushi place in the area and was curious what Daruma was like…read more Yes, this is a sushi restaurant. And yes, the sushi is good. First, I'll tell you about my experience. When I arrived there was plenty of parking outside along the street of this sushi restaurant. There is outside seating and inside seating. The inside has several tables that can seat around 6 people. See my pictures attached. I ordered my sushi; 3 rolls for $9.99, which is a fair price. There are select types of sushi on a list that can be part of the 3-roll deal. I also got hot saké for around 6 bucks. Some of the special rolls cost around $10. The sushi took a little longer than I expected to come out and get to my table, but when it came out I was happy. The sushi is rolled tightly, was a good size, and a decent amount of ingredients inside. It was also styled nicely on my plate. See my attached pictures. I ordered all salmon avocado rolls, because they are my favorite. I was pleased to see that they also have gluten-free soy sauce. The hot sake comes in the ideal hot saké glass with the small shot glass. I have no gripes with my meal and was pleased. All together for a decent price, would make it tempting to me to come back often. I posted pictures of the menu items above the cash register. Check out the variety of food here. There is more than sushi here. If I were to make any improvements to this place, I would add some more sushi types to the menu, and not bother with sushi rolls with only a single meat in it, and no other combined ingredients. Spicy Mayo, cucumber, and avocado can make sushi more tempting. Before I came here I had a hard time finding a menu. This restaurant needs a website with the menu posted. Possibly a Facebook page with pictures of different plates and drinks posted on it occasionally. It would be nice if there was some Japanese music being played in the background, and the TV shouldn't be on the CNN channel (laughing). I also would enjoy seeing some of the staff going around and checking on customers to see how they are doing. So what do I think overall? Well I definitely approve of this restaurant, and I certainly will be coming back for sushi. The prices are also fair, so in that case, why not come back more often with some friends? I think this place would be twice as busy if people could see the menu items online. Also, gluten and lactose free food options always bring more people in. I do suggest you come by to try the sushi here. I approve and believe you should come by and try this place soon. See my attached pictures.

Let's start with the lobster roll, because this thing deserves its own standing ovation. Perfectly chilled lobster, just the right touch of creamy sauce, wrapped up like a little sushi love letter. It's rich without being heavy, and it'll ruin you for any other roll in town. Then there's the spicy ramen, which might be one of the most comforting, soul-recharging bowls you'll find in Greeley. The broth hits you with that warm, savory hug you didn't know you needed, and the spice level is dialed in perfectly - enough to wake up your taste buds but not enough to make you regret life choices. The vibe? Cozy, chill, and just a little fancy without being intimidating. Perfect for a date night, family dinner, or that solo night out where you pretend you're the mysterious main character in an indie film. Bottom line: Daruma is the kind of place you keep coming back to because it just gets it. Go for the lobster roll, stay for the spicy ramen, and thank me later.

The gyoza came out perfectly pan-seared -- crispy on the bottom, tender on top, and packed with flavor. That dipping sauce had just the right balance of salty, tangy, and savory. You could easily crush two orders without trying. The pork belly steamed buns were next-level. Soft, pillowy buns wrapped around rich, melt-in-your-mouth pork belly. The balance of fat, sweetness, and sauce was perfect. Messy in the best possible way. And then the star -- the Tonkotsu Ramen. Hubby and I usually each order soup, then we order 2 appetizers and one entree to split when we go to Asian restaurants. We ordered the same here. The egg drop soup was heartier than we expected, it had corn and little bit of chicken in it. It was delicious. Our appetizers, spring rolls and wrapped shrimp, were delicious and they were served on beds of noodles with sliced carrots and cucumbers around the edges of the plates.
