This place was great! Lots of filling food. Definitely recommend. Especially when going to Colorado.

We arrived with a party of ten. Super easy to order and lots of seating in the back for a large group. It sure makes life easy to not worry if picky kids will find something they like. Plus, the self-service soft drinks and soft serve is great for the kids. They can get what they want! Yay Food was fine. There are lots of sauces to add to your starch, meat, and veggies so you can customize. The staff was quick in removing used plates. A great dining experience. read more

HuHot Mongolian Grill - Mongolian Near Me - Fort Collins, Colorado

This was an utter disappointment. We showed up an hour before close on our last day in Fort Collins. We sat waiting by the register for 10 minutes for someone to help us. The cook just stared at us.. we leaned over as some one was putting away dishes they just stared us. Quite literally no one would come help us. Another couple walked in and they even asked several workers if they could come help them only to be told yeah give it a minutes... Finally someone 15 minutes later came out but we opted not to stick around. If that is how service was going to be we really did not want to eat there. read more

5 stars simply because of Forrest! From the register, to grill, to table, Forrest ensured 5 star customer service. My family and I have been frequenting this establishment for many years, and I have to say that Forrest has given us the BEST service since this place has been open. Checked us out at the front register with the best attitude and patience, cooked our food to perfection, and came to check on our table before he left for the night. Amazing guy and great experience. Thank you Forrest :) My only gripe about this place is that remodel they had years back had ruined the ambiance, but it is still enjoyable despite cosmetics. read more

We celebrated my sons baptism here. The food is cooked fresh to order right in front of you. Highly recommend!

I like that you can make anything you want to make. It's important to me to not have allergic reactions- Hu Hot surpasses other restaurants - as long as you tell them you have an allergen- they clean the grill meticulously for you, separating your food from others'. They give you a yellow bowl, so when they see you coming, they will be prepared for you. Tip: bring your cash so you can tip them as you go past the cooks. If you've got a big stomach, and you like buffets, this is a good one. Great chain restaurant, rather. I will always choose this allergy friendly chain for all of my Mongolian BBQ needs! read more

This restaurant really needs a soap and hot water scrub down and a makeover. Ate there today with family visiting for Christmas. Two different employees were sleeping in two different booths. The place felt nasty. Food plates left on tables, employees sleeping in booths, filthy carpet and no reason to ever go back. Yuck read more

I've been here once before, and couldn't remember a thing about it. It's a great deal for all you can eat, and I'm sure there are great concoctions to be made through creativity. The thing that's awful that I am seeing all over fast casual and fast food is the lack of cleanliness. The floors near the sauce and into the cooking area were sticky and gross, for a feather in the cap the bowls used to gather raw ingredients to bring to the cooking table were not cleaned and thrown back onto the pile to be used again. I'm assuming it's the typical understaffing issue, but people want to eat in a clean environment, oversight would be a welcome addition. Clean the freaking area, and the bowls once a week!! read more

Quick and good service. Liked being able to customize my meal. Recommend you give it a try.

The food is always amazing. Fiona was amazing. She made sure all of the ingredients were well stocked. A huge smile on her face. She was amazing. Very clean restaurant. All of the cooks were quick and respectful. I recommend this place to everyone. Very well done read more

Never been a big fan of self-service restaurants, but this particular location is very nice. Food is decent if you know what you're making, and you get free ice cream with each meal which is a nice bonus. 8/10, a bit pricey but overall solid. read more

The food was not good, the service was ok they just made your food for you being like hibachi but you make your bowl and then give it to them in a buffet line. You are always on your own getting stuff at this restaurant, the ambiance is not good, it's very loud you can hear the grills and just overall not a good dining experience. read more

Absolutely amazing food, amazing customer service, at least here in fortcollins colorado. But I would recommend.

We had a great dinner tonight and followed some of the recipe ideas and really enjoyed the food. We wish for sake to come back to the menu. The mussels are really tasty on the dish and I also enjoy the steamed rice I try to go for about three plates if possible and leave very full. Ask for some sesame seeds or peanuts and some of that tasty garlic hot chili sauce. read more

What's not to love? You fill up a couple shallow plastic bowls with fresh vegetables, add in whatever type of meat and noodles you want, top it off with one of their signature sauces or make your own from the ingredients available. I've been eating Mongolian Barbeque since I was a kid living near an airbase in Japan The Yokota Officer's Club served MBBQ on Thursday nights. We'd load up the bowls and eat until full! What's a traditional style recipe? Pork, cabbage, bean sprouts, bamboo shoots, water chestnuts, onions. I use soy sauce, Sherry, garlic oil, ginger oil, and sesame oil as my marinade sauce. Perfect every time! (Of course!) read more

The food was fine it really was not out of this world but overall I would return. 5 stars for friendliness, great people and taught us how the place worked and very nice overall. 2 for cleanliness, the restaurant was very messy. The self serve section for ice cream was utterly gross and all the cones were crushed. There were bins on plates near the tables and the bins were gray (originally black) from how dirty it was and overall it just was not that clean of a place. We went to grab forks and some of those forks were dirty too. 3.5 for food because it wasn't anything special. The food seemed straight out of a can and frozen. I do appreciate the sauces and being able to choose but also not much diversity for food. read more

My plate was left a good 7 mins on the grill before it was flipped. So I pushed aside 3/4 of the plate and went back in line again. I asked the person on the grill please flip at 3 mins (I watched the steam almost fizzle). The girl seemed to think it was funny so I remarked, "the first plate was dry as heck". Then at 6 mins I asked to please plate it and she wanted to keep cooking it so there is "no red". The meats are cut 1/4" thick it does not take 10-12 mins to cook it thru. Poor etiquette and the cook was putting her hand over top of her soda glass then putting hand on grill utensils which are shared - effectively cross contamination defined in servsafe training. Our last visit here cause who wants to pay $54 for 2 people to eat burnt/dry food. read more

Family favorite of ours for about the past 9 years. However, the changes "to be more labor efficient" totally made the environment and quality of everything severely decrease. Changes: -No waitstaff. -No appetizer included (but you can have some gross soft serve ice cream, I way prefer the Asian salad they used to offer) -No bar. They took the whole thing out! No fun drinks, just soft options. -Because of the restructuring it feels small and crowded, they added walls, sectioned it off, it was kind of gross in comparison to when they opened. -Grill team seemed less than happy to be there. I get it, it's hard work, but the team has always been having fun and making the work into an experience for guests, always very enjoyable. Same expensive pricing. It was around $42 for two of us with no app's, no liquor, no delicious Asian salad. Honestly sometimes things change for the worse, I would avoid this place. read more

Good food and service. Lovely part of downtown foco, went for lunch during a weekday.

You combine your favorite veggies and meats with an endless combination of sauces .. to make a wonderful meal .. they have occasional specials that make it mite affordable too. It's all you can eat too so you won't leave hungry! I've tried a lot of combinations and you really can't go wrong with this place .. it's amazing! read more

HuHot Mongolian Grill - Mer and I at HuHot! - Mongolian Near Me - Fort Collins, Colorado

Your staff member Forrest has assured this is my last visit to HuHot ever. I've had issues with him trying to throw my plate out off the grill, and this visit he places crab rangoons on my table (without the little numbered card for appetizers anywhere on my table.) He then comes back as the meal is finished and makes me pay for the rangoons YOUR STAFF placed on my table. I ask him if they would've been taken to another table- he says they would've been thrown away. I said if I'm paying for this I will never be coming back as it was just mistake. He was completely fine with that. Will never be back until I know Forrest isn't going to penny pinch me anymore read more

Had an excellent experience at the HuHot Mongolian Grill today. This was my first time trying Mongolian food, I can say confidently that I thoroughly enjoyed it! They have a wide variety of sauces, each with a unique twist and spiciness. Also the names of their sauces are sure to put a smile on your face! My personal favorite at the moment is "burn your village BBQ"! Give this place a try, you will not be disappointed. read more

HuHot Mongolian Grill - Sliced beef, Chinese noodles, sliced bamboo shoots, and white rice topped with sweet chili. - Mongolian Near Me - Fort Collins, Colorado

HuHot is at best a community cafeteria grill for $20 per person. If you don't mind tasting the food that is cooked on either side of yours. Also the taste of the dish that was cooked in the place your is now. Oh, did I also mention that there is a 10 to 15 minute wait to get the food cooked. Also, they have taken eggs off the menu since they are saving costs. Eggs are a staple of stir fry. The spatulas are used for at least an hour without cleaning. The grill was not cleaned more than a spritz of water and a quick scrape for the hour we were there. I got fish in one bowl and meat in another. They dumped them together and did not ask if it was alright to cook them together. They just grab and scrape. I also had jalapenos in my dish that I did not put in there. I have a stomach ulcer so the dish was not edible to me. We will NEVER go back. There are MANY better and cleaner places we can eat. Especially for $22 per person. This is not to mention the mix of foods and the brown sprouts that I would not give to my chickens. read more

Went for my birthday and had a horrible experience. Zero customer service. The vegetables were disgusting and had pieces of Black on them. Cilantro was slimy. This is a total health code violation. I am a bartender and have taken multiple classes on sanitation and cleanliness. I am disgusted! We will never come here again. We didn't even eat we left and after taking to the manager who was a child. There was no apology or any symptoms of sympathy. Beware! This place is garbage and will make you very sick!!!! read more

The food was great, BUT, when I immediately walked in I was greeted with this long haired man who who greets you, made me and my friend feel horrible and like a burden.... Everything was a tip toe and just not a fun experience. I tried to be silly and this guy who wasn't havin it... when my friend and I sat down and I was getting my dish another customer was like "you should never be treated this way." SOMEONE else say it.. Todd on the other hand was amazing! He cooked your food and made the experience delightful If you want a Debby downer this is the place read more

I try to like this place, used to be a favorite. Last 3 visits have steadily gotten worse. Was there today at 11:30-they opened at 11:00--already out of several vegetables as well as low on meats. The place was almost empty so I am not sure why they were short on ingredients? Workers all gathered around cash register talking. No one came and picked up empty plates, too busy talking at front? The place was clean, but with so few customers at lunchtime I would expect it to be clean. Hopefully management sees this and corrects, it used to be one of my favorites. read more

I just went here for the first time last week after moving to Fort Collins 6 months ago. My partner and I absolutely loved it!! It is a large establishment with many booths so you aren't sitting right next to your neighbors while you eat. They have an impressive meat selection, veggie selection and sauce selection to choose from, more than any other Mongolian BBQ place I've been to. They also have a 2 for $22 dinner special on Thursdays from 4-6pm, which was a nice surprise when I went, and a great deal for all you can eat considering most Mongolian places are close to $20 per person to begin with. The one thing I have to note, I was not impressed with the girl working the grill. She looked absolutely bored out of her mind and didn't speak, smile or make eye contact with me once the entire time except for at the end when she missed the bowl with some noodles and they ended up on the counter. She looked at me as she was about to put them back in the bowl, and says "so do you still want these..?" And I was shocked for a sec before I told her, umm no I don't. Thanks. She apologized half heartedly and handed me my bowl. I was stunned, and my partner who has worked in the service industry for 20 years was as well. The counter didn't look necessarily clean, and I have no idea what things people put on there, including money for tips. I definitely don't want noodles that have landed on the counter to go back in my bowl to eat... disgusting. I decided to put this incident aside and not let it ruin the experience for me, and I am looking forward to going back here soon!! read more

This place has been renovated since the last time I was there a few years ago. Better now. It's buffet so of course expect the few pieces of food on the floor, here and there. Service is fast. Staff is friendly. Will go back again when craving for quick Mongolian fast food. read more

The restaurant has really gone down hill the past couple of years. First, the staff doesn't seem to be sufficiently trained. Some grill workers do a great job, others do a terrible job. The last time we were there we saw them using a process that caused nearly all of our sauce to just sit on the grill and boil off - they just dumped the bowl on the grill and didn't touch it until they scraped it (literally) onto a plate. It was terrible. In addition, HuHot does frequent promotions where they give you a bonus card when you buy a gift card yet we have yet to use one of those when the hostess actually knew how to ring it up. They try to ring it up as a gift card which doesn't work and they tell us it has a zero balance. We have to argue until they get a manager and then finally the manager figures out how to use it properly. Finally, the staff is slow to replenish ingredients. They are almost always out of beef and at any given time you can find half a dozen items that need to be restocked. This used to be one of our favorite restaurants but the past few times we've went the food and overall experience have both been poor. read more

It's a big, self-serve, all-you-can-eat Mongolian BBQ restaurant. Lots of meat options, veggie variety and noodles, not to mention the sauce choices. Throw it all together and you have a massive, unhealthy pile of delicious food. Or, you can pick and choose and eat relatively healthy. I love HuHot. read more

The woman at the hosts stand tonight almost denied service to my little sister when she tried to order. She is twelve, which is the age limit for the kids menu. When she ordered the employee answered in a snarky remark. I stood up to her and explained that she was my little sister and we were meeting my friends here. She proceeded to roll her eyes, and we went to a table. After this, I looked behind me and saw this same employee staring and pointing at her with a coworker and this situation made my sister very uncomfortable. Later, she came to bus our dishes with an e-cigarette in her hand. This customer service is ridiculous. The food is way too expensive for the employees to be acting like this. read more

I really do like the HuHot in Fort Collins. The owner is very nice and service is almost always extremely good. I've been to other HuHot restaurants and the proteins are thawed and veggies aren't properly stored...not the case on any of my visits here. Occasionally, the veggies change or aren't available, but that's not deal-breaker for me. My lone complaint is with on-line ordering. We order from here for pick up and/or delivery very frequently as it is my son's favorite place to eat. In all the times we have ordered, we have never had an order that was completely accurate! Usually we get the wrong veggies (e.g.; baby corn instead of corn) or extra veggies and considering it is all you can eat if you go to the restaurant, the portions are extremely small. read more

- Empty condiment bowls - dirty tables and floors - soda machine was out of order for everything besides water. No diet options when they supposedly fixed it. - loud noises when they kept dropping plates This place has been updated to be a fast food joint... has taken away from the dine in feel and made us feel very rushed to get in and get out. We waited 20 minutes after we went through the long grill line to get our food to receive my little ones Mac and cheese and our table appetizer. We ended up going through the line again to get my niece some noodles while we waited for her food. Soon after we got the food. Oh, and they don't offer the dinner salad anymore. Haven't been in a little bit, but finally got to going back 2 weeks ago, still awesome stuff! Let's break it down: Drinks: Decent selection of your favorites, I found plenty of Colorado Brews that I fancy there, you'll do fine :-) Food: Fresh, high quality stuff, well prepared while you watch, pretty neat :-) the different combinations with sauces will keep you coming for awhile still. Pro tip: Don't be shy with scooping on sauces if you want to taste them, you'll want at least 6 ladle-fulls of something, maybe more. Decent selection too, especially in the meat department. Service: Very on the ball and friendly. In short, will be back soon! read more

If you want to get COVID this is the place for you! The food is good, but they do not enforce the mask mandate--at least 3 people standing in line at the grill had masks but not actually covering their nose and mouth and not standing 6 ft apart. We were in that situation for quite a while. When I mentioned this to the manager as I was heading out the door, he didn't seem to care even though he could clearly see the individuals in question. Perhaps a visit from the health department would convince him to care. Otherwise I would (and will) steer clear of this restaurant in Ft Collins. There are many others doing a MUCH better job of protecting public health. Show less read more

During a recent business trip to Fort Collins, we were looking for a place to eat dinner. We were driving through downtown Fort Collins and I noticed the word "Mongolian" and started salivating. I've not not had Mongolian Barbecue since I was 12 years old! I lobbied the rest of our group to go there and they all agreed. For those of you that have never sampled Mongolian Barbecue - the concept is this: imagine an area much like a giant salad bar - you choose from a variety of razor thin sliced meats: chicken, beef, pork, and veal; a wide variety of raw vegetables: baby corn, bean sprouts, onions, tomatoes, bell peppers, broccoli, asparagus, scallions, cauliflower, and a whole lot more; then sauces galore: oils, soy sauces, spicy sauces, salty sauces, hot sauces, wines, vinegars, you name it. You drown your meat and vegetable mixture with lots of sauces. After assembling a massive pile of raw meats and veggies, with a very liberal dosing of any and all of the aforementioned sauces and oils, the entire concoction is tossed onto a massive metal flat grill and cooked at high heat very quickly. You stand in line and hand your bowls of food to the guys at the grill and then wait and watch them cook your food. At this place - they were very busy - two guys were doing all of the cooking - they could have very easily used two more guys - there was a long line to get food cooked - and each guy was cooking about six different meals at a time. After each round of meals is cooked, they have to scrape the grill. It's a very hot job, both of these guys looked to be young college guys - probably students at nearby Colorado State University (CSU) and both were drenched in sweat from having to hover over this very hot grill. We finally got our food - I sat down at our table, I had also ordered their version of Hot and Sour Soup - and a local Pale Ale. The soup was a different consistency than the Americanized Chinese version of Hot and Sour Soup - it had a thick, cloudy consistency - but it was very good, the Pale Ale was very hoppy and fruity - not something I usually go for - but this was very good, I cannot recall the name of the beer I sampled - I had never heard of it before. My Mongolian Barbecue mixture? Outstanding!!! Wow! Yumm! Yumm! Yumm! Everyone in our group (4 of us total) agreed the food was very good. I need to find the Mongolian Barbecue joints in the Washington, DC area and try them out... read more
