The service when I go here is usually pretty solid and they have a good happy hour deal. Also if…read moreyou get three of the same shots (from a list) they're $12, which is pretty good. My go to is the cheese bacon fries and they are easily my favorite thing here. Definitely sports bar meets dive bar type of vibe

A very strange thing happened tonight (a Sunday when the bar was sparsely populated). I walked in…read moreand asked for a beer. The bartender, an older guy I had not seen there before, flatly told me he could not serve me. I talked to this bartender pleasantly, wondering what led him to that decision as I had just walked in. He said I was "wobbly." That was a first. I'm 70 and one of my knees "gives" at times, but by no means do I wobble. I was quite sober. I had enjoyed a single beer at dinner before walking in, intending to watch some soccer recaps on the many TVs there before going home. It was a very short interaction. Neither of us got ugly. Nobody raised their voice. And bars have the right to refuse service. No bartender should ever serve someone who has had too many. But this guy misjudged me. It should have been apparent to a bartender (or anyone who has been around people who are drinking) when we talked that I was neither drunk nor impaired in any way. I left immediately and did not argue. At my age, the last place you want to be is one where you aren't wanted. But this guy was out of line. He jumped to a wrong conclusion based on who knows what. Or maybe he had an agenda, like wanting to clear the place out so he could go home on a Sunday night (but there were 30-odd other folks around, playing pool, etc.) Steak-out has a reputation of sometimes trying to clear people out early, but it was nowhere near closing time. I doesn't make sense to call it age discrimination. This guy was a bald dude with grizzled grey stubble, so apparently past 50, or he had lived a life that made him appear so. If age was the factor, he will feel the reality of age discrimination, which occurs in many places, soon enough himself. I hope this was a strange on-off incident. I had been there often when in town. I liked the sports on the TVs and the reasonably priced selection of beers. I had always had pleasant and friendly conversations with the bartenders. I have always found the bartenders there to be good people. I had never seen this guy before. I hope I don't see him again. I am a pleasant, conversational, easy-going customer who always tips well. I have never been refused service -- anywhere -- so this rude awakening came as a shock. I immediately felt for black folks who get turned away for no reason other than skin color. Lacking a coherent theory, I guess it had to be my age? I have no idea what this guy's problem was. But this bar's owners have a liability on their hands with him as he will deter good people from coming there. I have some experience working in bars and restaurants, albeit decades ago. Personnel choices are very important. Hiring him and allowing him free rein to insult customers was not a good choice. Perhaps the owner will read theses reviews, both the good and bad.

The food was amazing I had the Prime Rib and loaded baked potato, my family ordered four appetizers they chose shrimp, oysters and chicken wings we wanted the 3 rolls but we were told we could only order 2 because they were sold out. We had no issues with food every item ordered was amazingly delicious. Compliments to the cooks! The service provided was not as impressive, I had asked for sweetener for our tea twice, he acknowledged and said he would bring it to our table but it never came. I had to ask the individual who brought out our appetizers thankfully he brought it as soon as he left the table. It took a while for our server to ask if we needed any drink refills. Lastly, since I sat at the edge of the table of the corner booth, I felt my personal space was invaded each time he brought out or food. He could have asked me to stand up or move for a little bit (which I wouldn't have mind), with this request he would avoided stepping on my foot, bumping me with his elbow and not reaching over me. Not sure if our server was in the best mood but when we were leaving he knocked over my tea spilling some on me and the take out container. Leaving me disappointed because my husband and I drove 672 miles. Even my children stated usually there is impeccable service.

We originally planned to stay for happy hour, but ended up spending nearly three hours there because we were enjoying ourselves so much. Social is one of those rare places that completely lives up to the hype. From the moment you walk downstairs, the atmosphere transports you to another era. The speakeasy vibe is authentic without feeling gimmicky, and every detail has clearly been thoughtfully designed. It's a super cool speakeasy with a warm, inviting interior that makes you want to settle in and stay awhile. We shared the charcuterie board, which was excellent, and enjoyed both the champagne and the bourbon. Everything was high quality and thoughtfully prepared. Ryan, our bartender, really made the experience special. He treated us exceptionally well, made us feel genuinely welcome, and provided outstanding service throughout the evening. What started as a plan to enjoy happy hour turned into one of the most enjoyable evenings we've had in a long time. It's the perfect place for a date night or simply a relaxing evening with exceptional food, outstanding cocktails, and an atmosphere that's second to none. We'll definitely be back now that we live here in Fort Collins. If you're looking for an unforgettable experience in Fort Collins, Social is an absolute must-visit. Highly recommended!

A little preparation on our end helped ensure everything went smoothly. Since The Regional is a farm-to-table restaurant, many items need to be prepared or prepped in advance, so I was grateful to collect everyone's orders earlier in the day. That gave the kitchen time to prepare and made it easier to get everything cooking once we arrived. We were seated off to the side of the bar in a small private area. The restaurant was busy, but not overwhelmingly so. Once we were settled, our server came over, introduced himself, and took our drink and food orders, making sure to associate each dish with the correct diner. After everything was entered, our drinks and food arrived surprisingly quickly. All of the food and drinks were good, but the service was even better. Our server was Lillian who is not only pleasant but well versed in the menu - offering suggestions and explanation on dishes or pairings. The atmosphere is homey with vintage style chairs, and the tables are set close but the room doesn't feel cramped We loved the Regional salad and the lamb merguez meatballs. As my main dish, I ordered the Halibut ceviche which is prepared with avocado, a detail that I overlooked and unfortunately I'm allergic to avocados. When the dish was placed in front of me, I was surprised and quickly signaled Lillian. She was concerned that I may have tasted the dish and offered medical attention (Benadryl) and promptly removed the dish. She encouraged me to order another main dish, but I opted for another lamb merguez meatballs which is served with warm bread. At the end of dinner, I was surprised that the halibut ceviche was taken off my bill - unexpected but appreciative gesture. 5 Stars - Hallmark of customer service at the Regional!
