So this is my honest opinion hoping you don't get offended. The fries are horrible. Honestly, worst fries I've ever had in my life. They were hot and soggy. No snap or crips whatsoever. To make matters worse, they were served smashed onto the chicken. The fries need a complete overhaul and if folks are telling you they are amazing, they are lying to you. This smashing down these soggy fries into your chicken is the worst possible way to serve them. Onto the chicken, I know you say you have your own special seasoning in the flour. I tasted nothing but flour, lots & lots of salt, & water. You really need to add more seasoning to this batter and bring more flavors into this chicken. I would also recommend having a beef talo options as I feel this would greatly improve on your chicken. I would also recommend yall stop using the "ready in 30 minutes" line. It seems everyone is having this issue including myself. Was told 30 minutes and waited for 55. Again, want to see this place succeed and grow, but the hype I read on line does not even come close to the reality of the food here.

The chicken was excellent, moist, and packed with flavor. My husband is usually quite picky, so it says a lot that he loved the mashed potatoes and gravy. The mac and cheese was also delicious; I would even say it is better than KFC. I was not a fan of the chicken sandwiches, though, because the bread felt a bit on the heavy side. I understand if one or two things go wrong, but today it was just a bad visit. Only two employees working the restaurant. We waited about 10 minutes so one of them could take our order. I asked for an XL cup because I'm ridiculously in love with their sweet iced tea, turns out they didn't have any left. I got a raspberry lemonade instead to later (once I had left) realize that it had no flavor. It was literally water, plus they didn't have any straws. I ordered the mixed chicken and I only got fried chicken. My grandparents don't eat fried chicken so we had to quickly make something for them so they could have dinner with us. We were the only guests in the dining area placing an order to go, but with only two employees it was hard to work the drive thru too. The restaurant was very filthy today. We've never seen it like this. Sadly, we're not going back to this location.

The young man who took my order and attended me at the window did very well, as expected. Since I don't like their instant, flavorless mashed potatoes I requested the potato logs which are delicious and one can tell a real potato was involved. There was no problem making that switch. I got the two piece chicken dinner box which also comes with one of their wonderful biscuits. This is one of the few places where I actually enjoy the biscuits. As usual I ordered an iced tea for the drink, and it is fresh brewed. Of course, they also offer all the soda pop options. As I write this, August 18, 2017, the dining room is closed as it is being remodeled, so only the drive-through is open. Wings however, sounded like a good choice... so this is where we went. It was a busy night for a Tuesday night, we thought, but I guess Del Rio doesn't exactly have a lot to offer, and it was 79 cent wing night, so I guess they had reason to go. We were seated at a tall table, not exactly our favorite kind of table, but as it was busy and there were others waiting for tables we accepted it. We ordered up some wings and fries, just to keep it simple. The fries were decent, and did hold up, though they were slightly over-seasoned. The wings were quite good though. We ordered the regular hot flavor and also some sweet thai chili wings. Both were tasty, and the wings themselves were meaty and of a good size. We also found that mixing the two sauces was a good flavor as well. We weren't able to finish all of the wings we ordered, but that was alright because we ate them for lunch the next day.
