There's no chips being refilled, no food being refilled except on the "American" side. Pasta, nuggets, fries, etc. We came for Mexican buffet. The waitress came over to ask how things are and we told her that we'd love to tell her but we've barely eaten and are hungry Overall, the enchiladas barely had meat, tortillas were chewy. They had "nacho cheese sauce" that is like what you get at a sports stadium, not true queso. Even the chicken nuggets were overcooked. Taquitos burnt on the ends and lacking any sort of seasoning. I'm leaving not full but not wanting to eat any more of this food.

Since I only do breakfast tacos or pericos from here, the food is usually good. Today the food was…read moregood as usual. My problem is the window clerk and the misleading prices. I was charged $4.30 for 1 breakfast tacos of potato egg and cheese. I paid cash too. When I asked why so expensive because board at drive-thru posted Potato and egg taco was $2.49. So i figured add $1 for cheese. Then add tax of 8.25%. My calculator states that $3.78 plus tax of $0.31. Total should be at most $4.09. I paid cash to avoid the credit card surcharge that this place already adds on to the customer. Window clerk was unable to explain why prices were wrong or offer any explanation. There are enough taco places in this town that you do not need to be misled treated rudely or pay more than is posted. Avoid this place.

And after our food was brought we never saw a waiter/waitress again. We had to go to the register to get our ticket from the waiter who disappeared only to reappear to cash us out. And the hostess was nowhere to be found in the meantime as she was positioned at said register. All of this may have been okay had the food been at least good, but it was mediocre at best. Smothered Grilled chicken was dry and seasoned like I wouldve gotten it out of a gas station and a burger I couldve made better at home. Save your money. Find a better spot.

Ate here for the first time ever. Ok, I really want this…read moreplace to be successful. I love family run businesses especially restaurants. So this is my honest opinion hoping you don't get offended. The fries are horrible. Honestly, worst fries I've ever had in my life. They were hot and soggy. No snap or crips whatsoever. To make matters worse, they were served smashed onto the chicken. The fries need a complete overhaul and if folks are telling you they are amazing, they are lying to you. This smashing down these soggy fries into your chicken is the worst possible way to serve them. Onto the chicken, I know you say you have your own special seasoning in the flour. I tasted nothing but flour, lots & lots of salt, & water. You really need to add more seasoning to this batter and bring more flavors into this chicken. I would also recommend having a beef talo options as I feel this would greatly improve on your chicken. I would also recommend yall stop using the "ready in 30 minutes" line. It seems everyone is having this issue including myself. Was told 30 minutes and waited for 55. Again, want to see this place succeed and grow, but the hype I read on line does not even come close to the reality of the food here.

We stopped in for lunch Monday right at noon, and the parking lot was empty, and we ended up being the only ones in the dining room which kind of surprised me. The menu isn't overwhelming but has a nice offering of good Mexican food. Mondays special was enchiladas which I ordered, and my friend ordered the Tacos Rojos. My plate of beef enchiladas was plenty for lunch and just the right amount of food for $8.95. The three enchiladas were fork tender covered with red sauce and melted cheese, a scoop of beans and rice on the side with a bit of lettuce and chopped tomatoes made for a nice-looking plate. The ground beef enchiladas were nothing fancy but still good. My friends three Tacos Rojos looked equally good, red taco shells with ground beef, lettuce, tomatoes, cheese, and sides of beans and rice. There was a side dish of tasty green salsa which I put on everything. Service was friendly at the counter, and the overall experience was one of the better ones I've had in Del Rio. I've heard about the Guisado which I was looking forward to trying but will have another chance before leaving Del Rio for good.
