Not many people know of the Golden Dragon but they house decent fast Chinese food. Beef, pork,…read morechicken menus that have good portions for the price. My go to dish is the lemon chicken. The Golden Dragon is definitely my favorite out of all the Asian cuisine in Del Rio. If only it had a better atmosphere... it's literally in a shack. Perhaps that could be part of the charm? If there was a Panda Express in Del Rio, I'd still prefer the Golden Dragon. P.S. The website linked at the top is WRONG! "Golden Dragon Tucson" really? This is Del Rio. They don't have a website.

Was hoping for just average, normal, decent Chinese food, nothing special. It was edible, but…read morethat's about it. I got the cashew chicken, the sauce was pink, tasted ok, but the chicken had a lot of fat on it and ligaments, not choice pieces. It was also very heavy on celery. The won ton soup didn't contain actual won tons - just some won ton noodles with beef strips. It was also pink. Like I said, it was below average, but I didn't get food poisoning so thats solid.

The quality of the meat was about one step above roadkill. The texture was abysmal. My wife said her potatoes were good, everything else was not! Do not recommend!

My daughter and I decided to give Jitra Thai a try during our stay in Del Rio. This visit is the…read moresecond time I've had Jitra in over 10 years, and my daughter's first experience. The food isn't terrible, considering this is something exotic for Del Rio. We phoned in a take-out order for Thai Spring Rolls, Tom Yum Gai (spicy chicken soup), and Tom Yum Koong (spicy shrimp soup). The 4 Thai spring rolls were fried crispy with a savory meat filling and came with two different dipping sauces and a side salad. The Tom Yum soups (Gai and Koong) were a nice blend of savory tanginess but not as spicy as we requested (Thai spicy). The two soup dishes were just that, soup, with no rice or noodles. While the menu does list these dishes as soups a note to diners offering an option of adding rice or noodles to go with the soup would be nice. We went back to order sides of noodles to go with the soup which cost an extra $3.00 each on top of the $10.95 and $12.95 we paid for just the broth, some meat and mushrooms. Take-out service was okay, and with the exception of having to order extra items to make our dishes complete, this was a nice change but nothing that would compete with our usual go to's for Thai food.

Easy parking, ample seating, and friendly & informative Staff. The decor was nice & dining area/restrooms were clean. Ordered a large & medium bowel/combo- plenty of food and the proteins were prepared fresh. The chicken/salmon was tasty, the steak was okay, but once I added sauce it was good. My biggest complaint was between the two bowels there was only one little piece of broccoli (and it was not tasty), the bowels come with vegetables & the pics show broccoli, but was mainly cabbage. I did eat my eggroll hours later & it was pretty good, so overall a 3 1/2 to 4.

I paid for three entrées and only received two. What makes this especially frustrating is that this is not the first time this has happened. I was driving alone, so I wasn't able to check the order before leaving. I only realized an entrée was missing once I got home, making it impossible to have the issue corrected right away. I understand that mistakes happen, but when the same mistake happens more than once, it becomes a quality control issue. Customers shouldn't have to double-check every order to make sure they're getting what they paid for. I hope management addresses this with the team and takes steps to ensure to-go orders are checked carefully before they're handed to customers.
