This is a small Chinese place, the food was good and the portion sizes were ok, the price wasn't really expensive but for the decor you think you would receive a larger portion for the price. The waitress was more interested in the child than waiting on tables. She never even offer to refill our drinks. read more

Searching for a vegetarian option while visiting Eagle Pass and ran into Jade Palace, which has been around in Eagle Pass since I was a teenager. I was happy to she Ms. Sue Tai cooking up recipes again in her new location that also had a drive through! I order Tofu and vegetables with steam rice. She made veggie summer rolls that we're nice and crisp! Unsweetened ice tea was refreshing they also had Sweet options and bubble tea! My family had meat options to choose from as well. I wanted to find a good Chinese restaurant in Eagle Pass. I am not that fussy, but I am used to food in big metropolitan areas. In other words my expectations were low. I went for dinner and found the prices way too high for the portions. The egg roll I order was the smallest I had ever seen in my life and it seemed reheated. I ordered Mongolian Beef and it wasn't even Mongolian Beef? In addition the waitress needs to learn manners because she approached us on her cell phone while in conversation with someone else. I never write reviews, I never complain, even when I get the wrong order, I never return it, But today the owner and her daughter made me so angry cause they refused to let me ask the the waitress for a recommendation. I EXPLAINED to them that she recommended something last time I went and I just wanted to know what it was, nothing else, no small talk or anything, AND EVEN STILL. They did NOT let her speak to me. I understand that maybe they THINK I'm close to the waitress who I was TRYING to speak with, but honestly I'm just a friendly person. I'm not even from eagle pass!
