Ive been to this place a few times before and it was always just alright. Nothing bad, just never anything that stood out. Im in town for work and I went with a few guys from work, to grab a dinner. We weren't looking for anything fancy. Just wanted to eat and be left alone. Cat ended up making it a blast. She didn't write anything down, which made us think there was no way she would remember everything. We all ordered different stuff and made a few changes, fully expecting something to get screwed up. Somehow nothing was wrong and all of us were impressed. We kept joking about wanting a free shots and she came back with a round of water shots for the table. We laughed so hard. She was fun and our drinks were never empty, she didn't disappear on us and was the best sever Ive ever had in this town. Empty plates got cleared and we weren't sitting there wondering where our waitress was. That matters. Ill be coming back when Im in town again. We were skeptical about eating here after seeing bad reviews but our son recommended it. We absolutely love smoked wings and these were amazing! They looked burned so I was worried they would be dry but they were moist and so flavorful! Would order them again and again! We were able to ask for the staff to put on the game we wanted to see and they were very accommodating! Everyone was nice and friendly! The food was great! If I could give negative stars I would. Today was our absolute last attempt at eating here. It is the THIRD time we've walked in, have been seated and then no one offers to take our order, bring us water, NADA! And we would absolutely understand if they were super busy, but that has not been the case. We've even adjusted going at more odd hours to beat the "rush" crowd. Plenty of room - spacious dining room with a great view of all monitors for watching sporting events. Staff were polite and efficient but not the friendliest. Not mean or rude but little to no interaction with clients. The pretzels were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside - very nice. The cheese sauce was somewhat flavorless with jalapeno slices floating on top. The French fries were hot, crispy outside, fluffy inside and flavorful. Terrible service. It took awhile to get my order taken. Then it took 25 minutes to actually get my order of wings and potato wedges. When my order was finally brought to my table, the wings were barely warm and the wedges were cold. I ate some of the wings and caught the server to ask him to return the wedges and ask that they get taken off my order because they were cold. Not even an apology or offer to get a hot order. My drink was also empty and unfilled for 80% of the meal. When it came time to leave I asked for a to go box. I was brought the box but no ticket. Fifteen more minutes pass and the server comes and asks if I'm ready for the ticket. I told him he brought me the to go box fifteen minutes prior and yes, I want the ticket. Not a bad place for the small community. The only complains that I have is that the bar lights are re positioned and the hours adjusted to treat customers who work a bit later. read more

In my 67 years of life... never have I ever come to experience such an atrocious dining experience of the likes I have just encountered at Wings and Rings. My eyes fog with the mist of my disappointed tears while my fingers shake uncontrollably as I struggle to gather the strength to type this review... but as someone who takes pride in the expression of culinary experiences to the public, I write the following as a warning. I hope and pray that this keeps anybody from coming within 100 feet of this establishment and partaking in the pure displeasure I have just experienced. To begin, when I walked through the doors, eagerly anticipating the meal to come, I was not even remotely addressed. I approached the hostesses at the front of the restaurant, neither of which considered to look up from their cellular devices to acknowledge my presence. I waited at least 5 minutes in pure shock at their indifference toward my presence, until a waitress from the kitchen walked out and finally seated me. I sat another 5-10 minutes before my actual waiter ended up attending to me. From there, I started my order with an unsweet tea and a lime, as well as an order of the cauliflower wings as an appetizer to start my culinary adventure. He walked off and did not return until about 15 minutes later with just the cauliflower wings. Oh, and did I mention he failed to even bring a utensil to eat them? There I was, with my order of cauliflower wings and nothing to eat them with or to wash them down. In utter desperation to appease my sharply growing appetite, I dug in with my bare hands and was shocked at the atrocity that struck my mouth. The wings (more like nuggets) were mind-bogglingly soggy, and there were about five total in the entire 8 dollar order. In disgust I pushed them away, as my waiter had finally come back with my drink about 5 minutes later. As I sipped on what I thought couldn't possibly be screwed up, I realized that my unsweetened tea was actually sweet, not to mention there was a LEMON slapped onto the rim when I had specifically asked for a lime. I vocalized to my displeasure to my waiter, to which he shrugged off in an uncaring fashion. It was from there I just stood up, payed for my "appetizer", and walked off. It was a truly horrible experience and quite honestly an embarrassment to the food industry. The lack of care put in place at this restaurant was evident, seemingly built on the ideals of complacency and laziness. If I could leave a zero star review I would, and I beg of you to NOT bring your business here. I try my best to support local food, but when local doesn't support itself, there's nothing you can do. We were passing through Del Rio and had stopped for the night. We were not in the mood for a lot of the local foods available, having eaten lunch in San Antonio. Wings however, sounded like a good choice... so this is where we went. It was a busy night for a Tuesday night, we thought, but I guess Del Rio doesn't exactly have a lot to offer, and it was 79 cent wing night, so I guess they had reason to go. We were seated at a tall table, not exactly our favorite kind of table, but as it was busy and there were others waiting for tables we accepted it. We ordered up some wings and fries, just to keep it simple. The fries were decent, and did hold up, though they were slightly over-seasoned. The wings were quite good though. We ordered the regular hot flavor and also some sweet thai chili wings. Both were tasty, and the wings themselves were meaty and of a good size. We also found that mixing the two sauces was a good flavor as well. We weren't able to finish all of the wings we ordered, but that was alright because we ate them for lunch the next day. read more

Waited a very long time for our food and when it came out it was cold. My order was incorrect. I had stated to add mayonnaise and I did not want pickles. It came with pickles and no mayonnaise.I informed the waitress who then took it back. When they brought my order out again it was very obvious that they just took the pickles off and put the same bread back on and added a package of Mayo on the side of the plate. read more

It is not what I expected from the cauliflower-chicken wings. It was just cauliflower with the sause.... In addition, it had more calories than the wings! The veggie burger tasted like the patties from Trader's Joes. So, it was okay. I feel like the cucumbers should be removed from the burger. It was too much veggies. However, it did feel me up. The service was poor. Serenna gave us like an attitude when she ask us, if we been help. She was like, that's because you were supposed to be sitted. We were like, they told us we can sit here. Food is always good..but the service is always bad or mediocre , I've only gone 4 times though

When we visited there was like 2 waitresses waiting the whole side of one restaurant. We waited forever for our food and the waitresses kept forgetting to refill our drinks, sides we had asked for, adding to existing order I.e. new drinks, side of extra dressing, straws. Our waitress (short black hair, shoulder length bob haircut ) was all laidback and talking here and there but would forget everything we asked her. I'm like "if she's going to forget, then have a notebook and pen to write and remind herself" I know this because I used to be a waitress back in the day. It seems everyone was looking around and at each other like "where is my _____?" I asked for a pop rocks candy drink and took like half an hour or 40 min minimum to get. We ate at Wings and Rings today and the food was cold and took over 50 minutes to be served. I asked the server why the food was cold and he said that management prefers that the food be served at once so that everyone eats at the same time. I will not be returning to this restaurant again. We always sit on the bar side. The wings are great and their blue cheese is very good! Servers are always attentive but are ever changing. Drinks are good as well. Try the quesadillas, you won't be disappointed. read more

This is a poor imitation (read: ripoff) of bdubs. If you're gonna (literally) bite someone else's idea, you should at least improve upon it. I had five piece traditional wings with their garlic-q sauce. In my mind, I bought this would be an original sauce baked into the wings as they cook. Nope. This is how the wings are prepared: they cook wings ahead of time, keep them warm, then pour--literally pour sauce--prolly from a bottle onto lukewarm wings. Room temp sauce + warmed wings=gross. But more than that is there is no technique in basting the wings with sauce. Why even put sauce on the wings to begin with? Just provide dipping containers because that's essentially what we have here. It's seriously gross. Since I ordered "garlic-q", I got two different (and not complimentary sauces) lathered into a bowl of 5 wings. They didn't even attempt to combine there two sauces. It looked like they poured two distinct sauces onto the wings and called it "garlic-q". Gross. The wings themselves were overdone and dry. That's better than underdone I suppose. But when you baste meat while cooking, the flavor soaks in. With this pseudo Bdubs you get dry ass wings dripping in sauce. There aren't many wing alternatives around here, so I guess folks in Del rio are screwed. Good thing there's not a shortage of decent restaurants here. They're totally overpriced too. $6 for 5 wings, ~$12 for 10. Fries and stuff are extra. Hindsight is 20/20 but I wouldn't have paid half of that for the meal I received. I'd go elsewhere if I were y'all. Limited beer selection on draft. Lots of tvs though so I imagine it would be a great place to watch a game/fight. read more

A nice franchise wing place with a family and bar area. Can't beat the $2.50 margarita specials on Tuesday and Thursdays. The menu is well done and the service is usually pretty good. A fairly regular turnover in staff so your mileage may vary. At the last visit I ordered a $9.50 burger and it was good but nothing out of this world. read more

It's got wings (decent, not mind-blowing,) rings (again, decent,) beer and sports. Think of a non-corporate owned Buffalo Wild Wings and you're in the ballpark. Service was (of course) decent and we got seats at the bar with no wait during one of the final Spurs vs Mavs games, so that was pretty decent too. read more

This was my first dinner spot when I came to visit Del Rio. It was the first time I was meeting my fiancés friends and while there was many of us, the restaurant was accommodating and friendly. I was impressed by the food because they add a bit of flare to traditional bar foods. They have a selection for health conscious eaters and a good selection of beverages for those that want to be social. Recently however, I didn't have a pleasant experience with a phone order. I had to wait 45 minutes for the order and they ended up doubling an order and charging an additional $15 to the bill, which unfortunately I didn't notice until after the fact. The place is allot like Buffalo Wild Wings but with a way better menu. They have all kinds of delicious combinations of bar foods like quesadillas. I had the streak with mushroom quesadilla.
