What happened to Pizza Hut? What happened to the once great Pizza Hut? We ordered some pizzas for take out and boy was I ever surprised with what I saw when I walked in. This place is not what it was and it's so ugly inside. It has turned into a mess. I mean no salad bar WTF is that, don't get me started on the pizza it seems they have changed a lot of things from the sauce to the meats. Who ever they have up in there HQ who thought it was a good choice to make those changes needs to be fired. We had not been there in a very long time and it looks like we won't ever be back. The service was terrible. We order drinks to start off. They were suppose to come back with drinks and then take our order. Drinks never came 1/2 hr later to ask ed at the counter and they said soon. 15 minutes later no drinks yet. We asked for the drinks and ask them to to take our order they said in a few minutes . They never came , Finally we said cancel our drinks we are leaving. He just said ok. Never again we will return. Such bad service. I'll take my money somewhere else. Service was horrible waited for over an hour and never received our food, they had pizzas sitting on the counter for 20 mins while I was there unknown. How long they will sit there and people that were dinning in waiting for their pizza are gonna get cold pizza. Had a long line of carry out orders weren't ready. Wings are always amazing. Have only eaten in once and good service. Staff is usually friendly when picking up or calling in.

One has to keep in mind that Del Rio is not Dallas, New York or New Orleans. The lifestyle is more laid-back here, and that is reflected in the service one receives in most of the town's restaurants. There was no one to greet me nor to assign me to a table. A couple of people walked in ahead of me and were being attended by the man at the take-out counter. So I waited in line. When he got to me I told him I was there to dine in, so he told me to pick any table, and my server would be with me shortly. I sat there for a good five minutes before my server came. It was just the one server assigned to take care of the whole dining room. She was quite friendly and answered my questions. She handed me a menu and took my drink order. I ordered an iced tea, a side salad, and the meaty marinara sauce pasta. The iced tea was Lousianne, fresh brewed and refreshing. My server kept my ice tea filled. That was no small task as I was trying to rehydrate after working outside in the heat all day. So I will give her credit for that. It took a little while for my pasta to arrive. I had expected the salad first, but apparently she forgot to bring it. When I asked about it she brought me a bowl to fill at the salad bar. That actually worked out fine, because the pasta was fresh out of the oven and too hot to attempt to eat yet. The salad bar was very basic. A choice of iceberg lettuce, spinach and a few veggies. It was reasonably fresh. There was also some shredded cheese. It made me appreciate places like Jasons Deli which have the most wonderful salad bars. I was disappointed they didn't offer blue cheese dressing. The choices were few, so I chose the ranch dressing. Turns out it was quite thin. It is a common practice to thin down those types of dressing with milk to save money, but it cuts quality and is a bad practice in my opinion. The "meaty marinara sauce pasta" is a misnomer. I realize this wasn't Romano's Macaroni Grill, but it should have just been called "pasta with marinara sauce" as the few crumbles of ground beef were hardly discernible. Yet I was happy with the melted cheese on top, and the overall flavor was delicious. It is served with a slice of Texas toast style garlic bread. When I saw there was only one slice of garlic bread I requested a second. They brought me the second slice and did not charge me any extra. Most pasta dishes are way overpriced, and this was no exception. I was pleased with the flavor and the freshness. The dining room was rather dark but relatively clean. I believe they were understaffed and could've used someone else to wipe tables and to keep up with the salad bar. There's a couple of TVs, and sports paraphernalia on the wall. There is also a lounge (bar) in the next room. To me the atmosphere was more friendly to a high school (after football party), or for college groups more than for families. If I return, I will probably order pizza as I believe you get a better bang for your buck. They actually had a special offering a large two topping pizza for $10.99. I probably should've ordered that. read more

Absolute worst experience I've had with a pizza establishment to date. They refuse to deliver to Laughlin AFB because it's further than 8 minutes from their store. It's 11 minutes. Here's the kick in the nuts - they ALWAYS deliver on base. We've ordered from them many times in the past, but tonight, Maria was being a lazy sack of shit. She said "we're not doing anymore deliveries there," but alas, we saw them earlier today. We were ready to spend nearly $60 on Pizza, but they are rude and uncaring of anyone but themselves. I will never order from any Pizza Hut again because of them. I recommend that Pizza Hut shut this location down, because establishments like this, run by people like Maria, will run the company into the ground. read more

This place is a rip off; we ordered classic pan, flavored crust and spinach on the pizza and got none of that. Food arrived cold. We were charged for it. We'll never come back. Update: To make matters worse, I called the main Pizza Hut line to complain- the complaint was sent to a manager at the Del Rio Pizza Hut and I was told they should contact me within a couple minutes... I received no call at all. Update: I made the mistake of giving this place another shot... specifically ordered a veggie pizza with NO MEAT and when it arrived... it had frickin' sausage and pepperoni on it. You guys need to stop using call centers and start going back to answering your phones at the resturant. Dealing with call centers is more of a pain and makes people less likely to order from you. They can't seem to find "Laughlin AFB" or stupidly put in LACKLAND when clearly 78840 and 78843 ARE Del Rio AND Laughlin. This is getting beyond annoying. There seems to only be ONE woman who works at your call center that can do her job correctly. The rest of the call center workers want to argue that they can't use those zip codes, find the street or put in Laughlin AFB. If that was true, then our pizza's wouldn't get delivered ever. I wish I knew the name of the lady that does the job right so I could tell her thank you so much for her excellent customer service and willingness to actually do her job! read more

When you order pizza hut, you generally know what you're getting. The quality of the ingredients is on par with any other Pizza Hut I've been to. But the thing that gets me is that you don't get what you ask for. We've ordered delivery four times from this location and only once did we get what we paid for. One time the person making our pizza apparently decided that one piece of spinach and was acceptable per slice as well as the most scant amount of balsamic drizzle. I wouldn't mind if we weren't paying for extra toppings. The next time, our honey sriracha wings came with so little sauce, they might as well have just been regular wings. On top of our two pans of alfredo we ordered looking like they were baked with no sauce because it was mostly bare crusted pasta from lack of moisture during baking. (Atleast the pizza came out okay this time, my husband says.) This time, we only got 16 out of the 18 wings we ordered and after paying for extra white sauce on the pizza, we got a very small amount of red sauce on the pizza which made the entire pizza weird since it was meant to have white sauce. It would be one thing if pizza hut was cheap, but when it costs upwards for fifty bucks for pizza, pasta, and wings, I want to get what I'm paying for. All in all, I've been very disappointed, which is upsetting because the delivery drivers have ALWAYS been super super nice!! read more
