The place is small and not much room to sit. It's pretty dark so to me it's not necessarily a space for someone looking for something open and spaced out. The food is great. The teriyaki is a sweet teriyaki. Portions are excellent for the bowls however I find the price for the chicken especially boneless and the amount that you get to be a little too little for too much. We each got a medium bowl & added veggies & I have leftovers. They give you an extra teriyaki sauce too without having to ask or pay, which is nice. It was $28 for 2 medium teriyaki chicken bowls & added veggies in both. So like $14 each but it would have been like almost $11 without veggies which is not bad at all. McDonald's charges more ... & it's gross & bad for you. They just opened a week ago. The owner was working the counter which I think is always a good sign. I was browsing on yelp and I saw this place so close to my house with really good reviews. I got excited because since I moved to Downey, I haven't found a really good teriyaki spot. I came here for lunch and was greeted by the cashier. I ordered a chicken teriyaki salad with some brown rice. It came out pretty quickly and tasted really fresh. It was presented nicely as well. I think the total around me about $10 for the bowl and an extra three dollars for the brown rice. The portion size was pretty generous.
