Teriyaki Chicken and Ribs with white rice
    Sharron D.

Good food. We orders last night for dinner. The ambiance was great and the food very tasty. Customer service is top notch. Great experience . The food is definitely reasonable prices. Orders enough for 4 people Teriyaki Chicken and Ribs with white rice and fried rice. All under 50 bucks. Wow you can't beat that. Everything has seconds and it was very filling. We took it home and had a great time with family. I highly recommend this location and there food. Very impressive. Next time we will try the Pho. Very clean inside and the wait time for preparing the food was good nothing over the top (15-20 minutes) as we talked the food was there. Great. We ordered fried rice - feeds 4 and the teriyaki chicken and ribs fed 4 as well. Definitely return here again.

I came back to this place after I got an order to go on previous week, I hope I can add the photos after this review. The blended the mocha was nice and thick and it was a good size, couldn't finished it during the meal. Your ever do a double take at something think something is out of place , it don't look normal your eye and brain don't communicate as normal one saying I see something and the other saying no you don't. Well that was with the short ribs wasn't until I started eating the rice oh the rice and as fine, but the size of it was the size of a large double egg it just seems small to me. Now your brain and eyes are waking up and now picking up the little details and of course here comes the he taste buds to give their whatever. I like I said the ribs and rice was fine just the rice seem small and didn't have the usual char you get from the grill. I love pho so I wanted to give this place a try it came out super hot in a big bowl, but here comes the body trio, the both ratio to noodles and meat seems off, my thought maybe put it in a small because to me it seem to be too "swimming ". And the noodles which is the main or a close second in a pho meal appear to the taste to be small and limp. You know when you cook spaghetti at home and it cook it too long it didn't have it firm texture, in all the pho was okay. Btw they give your choice of miso or chicken soup, the chicken was surprising had a lot flavor and noodles and chicken , that was a surprise. Why did I take a picture of the floor who looks at the floor, but it was dark and had these large titles which gave the place of elegant style. I don't think their pho is their jam but it has a massive menu and not bad like I said the take out was nice

Lots of menu items to choose from as well

Good was definitely some of the best teriyaki around and great miso also cheaper than most around five star

Teriyaki & Pho is our local teriyaki place, so on a rainy November day when we're looking for takeout it's a natural choice. The chicken Teriyaki is, to my inexpert palate, very tasty. The chicken itself is tender and as you can see from the photo, the portion is very generous. If you plan to eat in, you have the option of a complimentary bowl of miso or chicken soup while you wait for your food. Dear Yelpers, I'm going to let you in on the best kept secret on the menu... For the meager sum of $4.29 (as of 11/6/2022) you can get a large (24 oz?) portion of the chicken soup for takeout, and you must. It is rich, just salty enough, with chunks of chicken and plenty of egg white. No matter what ails you, this soup is legit enough to set you right. Comfort food with an Asian touch. Teriyaki & Pho. (Yes, I just made up a tagline for them. That's how much I like their food!)

Service was attentive as usual, small restaurant but well lit and more than enough room to be comfortable. The omakase set is such great value here. Super fresh seafood. Yet, it's disappointing to say that we've been sourly disappointed the last 2-3 times we came here. Not sure if it's management change or something happened, but Nakagawa lost its magic with us. 1. The service has been terribly slow and just not inviting anymore. After ordering, we waited easily 35-40 min for the food. I know it takes time to meticulously prep rolls, but after 30 min of just sitting and waiting, you can't help but start feeling hangry. And this isn't just a one-time occurrence - this happened multiple times for us. 2. The bento box quality. I LOVE bento boxes - it was such a treat to dine on so many different Japanese options, like a sampler box of goodness. Ranging from nigiri to sushi, from tempura to the soup, bento boxes have a special place in my heart. Yet, I feel like Nakagawa's bento boxes have sadly missed that mark. The protein (chicken teriyaki/katsu) tastes old and oddly mushy, and the portions are quite small, just leaving me wanting more. Don't get me wrong - the fish is still good. Solid place for seafood, paired with a lengthy wait. But Nakagawa just lost its touch with us, and driving that 30-35 min trek is not worth it for us anymore.

The cuisine has excellent seasoning. I chose two appetizers, Takoyaki and Hamachi Karma, and found both to be delicious. The Takoyaki had a well-balanced flavor. Yummy. The Hamachi Karma displayed both the fish and dipping sauce with wonderful flavors. The drizzle sauce and spinach on the plate seem to be intentionally included. They complement the dish altogether. I think both the recipe maker and the chef demonstrated great skill in their execution. I should experience different dishes next time. The restaurant was nice and clean. The staff were friendly, polite, and attentive to their customers. My green tea never ran out. I rarely ate at a restaurant without asking for more water or tea. It may seem like a little thing, but I valued their attention. This restaurant may become one of my go-to places to eat.

Both nights, I enjoyed great food and excellent service. The first night, I thoroughly enjoyed ikura (salmon roe) with quail egg, ami ebi (sweet shrimp) -- love me fried shrimp heads, and a specialty roll -- black lava spider roll. The second night I ordered miso soup, yellowtail scallion roll, saba (mackere) nigiri, eel avocado roll and tobiko nigiri. On both evenings, I opted for green tea instead of an alcohol alcoholic beverage. Another reviewer commented that there is a brisk takeout app service, which was noticeable both nights I was there. I am talking these experiences up as a win. I will be back in the area, and it is nice to know there is a restaurant I can count on for great food and service.

The first time I came to Modoo Hansang, I found a long hair in my soup, then a long hair in my rice. I left quickly without finishing much of anything, but the situation was taken care of by the manager. I understand this could just be a bad day, a fluke of sorts... so about 7 months later, I came back to give it another shot. They have a decently extensive menu, and they have a lunch set that is half-sized portions. I got the soondooboo and the galbi lunch set, and it was a good amount of food for one. The side dishes aren't really your traditional side dishes, and they're presented very beautifully. It makes you feel like you're fine dining. The flavor seemed a bit more fusion than traditional. They also give apps like california rolls, salad, and soup. (My gripe is that they should have used a miso dressing instead of an Italian dressing that tastes like it came from a bottle for the salad.) Overall, you order your entree, and you get what feels like a 5 course meal. Went at 1:00 PM on a Saturday, but it wasn't busy at all. Got seated immediately, and there were 2-3 other parties dining as well. Modoo Hansang gets the job done if you're craving a hearty Korean meal~

I can imagine a line out the door during peak hours. I ordered the mushroom soft tofu stew (sundubu-jjigae) + pork bulgogi combo (medium spicy), and my wife ordered the Galbitang. The food arrived 10-15 minutes after ordering, despite three more tables arriving and placing orders around the same time - I noticed they got their food within the same window. This place is efficient. The sundubu-jjigae arrived in a stone pot, broth running surprisingly clear and light for how substantial it tasted. The pork bulgogi came out still sizzling on a cast iron skillet over a wooden board - the kind of presentation that makes the table next to you immediately regret their order. Portion-wise, the pork felt slightly light for a $28 combo relative to everything else on the table. The banchan deserves its own mention: eight-ish dishes - kimchi, bean sprouts, gyeran mari (beautifully golden rolled egg), seasoned greens, braised tofu, pickled daikon, and a couple more I'm still trying to identify. None of it felt like filler - the kind of sides you keep reaching for absentmindedly mid-conversation until they're gone. The rice was a multigrain mix (purple-black grains) rather than plain white, a small detail that signals care for the fundamentals. My wife's galbitang arrived looking like a commitment - massive short rib bones in a rich, clean broth that meant business before you'd even picked up a spoon. She ended up so full we packed the rice and half the dish to go. When your takeout bag solves dinner that evening, that's a PORTION SIZE WIN. One last detail worth calling out: they proactively offered me an apron since I was eating spicy food in a white polo. Small gesture, real thoughtfulness - and apparently aprons are limited, so I appreciated being asked first.
