The Food is worth the price. I would recommend it to anyone. A plate is enough for two if you like sharing.

Precious, precious, precious.... that is all!…read more My daughter and I visit Benihana quite often, and to be honest, the service is usually just okay. But this time was completely different, our server, Precious, was like no other. She was friendly, energetic, and genuinely funny. She kept us laughing the entire time and made the whole experience feel special. On top of that, the food was amazing, perfectly cooked, well-seasoned, and you could truly tell she put care into it. It felt like she added her own special touch. Precious was incredibly personable and had a smile on her face the entire time. She went above and beyond, and it did not go unnoticed. She absolutely deserves recognition, whether that's a promotion, lead position, or a raise. Honestly, I would drive an extra hour out of my way just to come back to this location if I knew she would be our server again. She made that much of an impact.

This review is strictly about their takeout service on Mother's Day. I placed an online order because I didn't have the luxury of sitting down for a full dinner this time. I had my two kids with me and honestly trusted that the order would be correct. When I arrived, the front desk told me to head toward the back where they were handling takeout orders. I gave my name, they confirmed the order was ready, and handed me one heavy bag. Unfortunately, I didn't think I needed to open the bag and double-check everything right there. I drove all the way back home to Lynwood only to open the bag and realize almost the entire meal was missing. The bag literally only had two fried rice containers and utensils inside. That was it. My wife is pregnant, it was Mother's Day, and this was the meal she really wanted. Everyone's face just dropped when we opened the bag. What made the situation worse was how difficult it was to even get someone on the phone afterward. Once I finally did, the person I spoke to was extremely nonchalant about it, basically saying "it happens" and offering to refund only the missing items. No real apology, no urgency, no effort to make the situation right considering the circumstances. I explained that I wasn't about to sit through another 30-45 minutes of traffic with two tired kids on Mother's Day just to go back and pick up food that should've been there in the first place. I also asked to speak with someone higher up and never really got that opportunity. Again, I'm not someone who enjoys leaving bad reviews. But this experience honestly left a bad taste in my mouth because of how careless the situation felt and how poorly it was handled afterward. Customer service matters, especially when something goes wrong. Instead of enjoying Mother's Day dinner, I ended up scrambling to figure out an entirely different meal at the last minute. Really disappointing experience from a place we normally enjoy.

Exceptional Service Recognition - Jonathan Delgado & GEN Cerritos Team…read more I am writing to formally recognize the truly exceptional service my family and I received during my daughter Dacia's 10th birthday dinner at GEN Korean BBQ in Cerritos. To be fully transparent, I arrived at the restaurant extremely concerned. I had been experiencing difficulty securing a reservation and was worried I would not be able to accommodate my large party of approximately 20 guests. Given the last-minute nature of my visit, I fully expected to be turned away. Instead, what I experienced was nothing short of extraordinary. From the moment I walked in, the staff demonstrated professionalism, empathy, and a genuine willingness to help. They immediately recognized that I was doing everything possible to make my daughter's birthday special and went above and beyond to ensure our family was taken care of. Manager Jonathan Delgado elevated the experience to an entirely different level. As a 17-year combat veteran, I am very mindful of environments that can sometimes feel overwhelming due to my PTSD. Without hesitation -- and with remarkable awareness and respect -- Jonathan made sure I was seated in an area where I felt comfortable and at ease. He approached the situation with professionalism, discretion, and genuine care that meant more to me and my family than I can fully express. Jonathan did not simply accommodate us -- he led with empathy, situational awareness, and true customer-first leadership. Throughout the evening, he remained engaged, attentive, and proactive. He made my entire family feel welcomed, valued, and genuinely cared for. His interaction with my children -- especially on my daughter's birthday -- showed a level of heart and authenticity that is rare in today's customer service environment. I have been dining at GEN for over 13 years across multiple locations, and I can say without hesitation that I have NEVER experienced the level of attention, care, professionalism, and genuine hospitality that Jonathan and his team delivered that evening. His team clearly reflects his leadership. The staff worked seamlessly, maintained outstanding energy, and ensured our large party was supported every step of the way. The experience was smooth, warm, and memorable from start to finish. Jonathan Delgado is a top-tier manager who represents the GEN brand at the highest possible standard. Employees like him do not just manage restaurants -- they build loyalty, trust, and lifelong customers. Because of this experience, my confidence in the GEN brand -- particularly the Cerritos location -- has been fully reinforced. My daughter had an unforgettable 10th birthday, and that is directly because of Jonathan and his incredible team. Please ensure Jonathan Delgado and the Cerritos staff receive the recognition they have absolutely earned. With sincere appreciation, Henry Alvarado17-Year Combat VeteranCEO & Founder, At Ease HQ

We decided to dine here on a whim on a Friday evening. While surrounding restaurants had absurd…read morewait times of 2-3 hours, we were seated here within 20 minutes. We originally expected to be in the main building, but we were directed to the smaller adjacent space instead. This turned out to be a win; the main building has extremely loud music and a "club" atmosphere, whereas the smaller space has a much more relaxed, family-friendly feel. The Highlights: Efficiency: The wait time was surprisingly low for a Friday. Service: The staff was helpful and managed to expedite a large amount of food in a very short window. Extras: The selection of Asian snacks and drinks at the front is a very nice touch. Things to Know Before You Go: This is an All-You-Can-Eat (AYCE) spot with a strict two-hour time limit. In my opinion, the best value is the $29.99 lunch special. We opted for the weekend "Premium" menu for a special occasion--which adds a $20 surcharge--but the basic menu actually seems like the better deal. This isn't your traditional, high-end Korean BBQ destination; it's more of an "entry-level" spot for anyone who wants quality grilled meats without any judgment. While the experience was solid, the food itself is average at best for this area. The Verdict: I wouldn't say you should avoid it, especially if you're trying to escape a two-hour wait elsewhere, but there are definitely higher-quality options nearby. I'd comfortably land this at a 3.5 out of 5.
