I love this place but yet again the menu has changed for what I'm assuming are cost cutting but aren't better. I got the wrap which used to have shredded cheese in it - now it is slices of colby jack cheese - I don't like cheese like that so it was rather disappointing discovering this and unraveling the wrap to get rid of the element I didn't like - they also added an option for cheese fries but don't state it's slices of cheese melted on which was off putting to a person with texture issues like me -- I guess I'll have to stick to tenders from now on. read more

My spouse and I love Tender Towne! Tenders are always so hot they cannot be eaten right away, sometimes even melting the box they come in they are so fresh. They only have one sauce but it is absolutely delicious! Fries are always super fresh. Coleslaw isn't great (according to my spouse, but my dad loves it so try it a for yourself if you like coleslaw!) always quick service even with a line and workers are always super friendly. They have a fine in area but I've never been inside, we usually eat here when visiting Jungle Jim's! read more

I spent a lot of time avoiding Tender Towne because I'm not a big fan of their sister restaurant, Butterbee's. I've always had bland food and an apathetic service experience. I've had Tender Towne a few times because I did not have the deciding on food and I can say it's slightly better than Butterbee's. Pros: - I like that they come in different size meals from 1-5 tenders. Different options for your particular hunger level but without the annoyance of buying only an extra tender. - They offer different sauces as opposed to their main competitor. There are 5 or 6 other choices besides their Tender sauce. (I've never tried the other options because I am a BIG fan of the Tender sauce!) - There are other menu items besides tenders. They offer wraps and sandwiches, and they serve chicken salad and grilled chicken. Plus, they have a few desserts (funnel fries!) if you need something sweet. Cons: - Tenders are smaller than other chicken restaurants. I always ended up getting one of the larger meals. - Service is awkward at best. I think they have the Penn Station style machines where if you don't tell them exactly what they need they can't move to the next part of the menu. That can be frustrating when your mind is focused on ordering multiple meals with different items. - They have Pepsi products. Gross. All in all, Tender Towne isn't awful and I go here every so often. Do I think it beats their main competitor, Raising Canes? Absolutely not, but it's closer to me and sometimes that's the only battle. If they decide to bottle up their sauce, let me know. I'll be the first to buy! read more

I really love Tender Towne. It has some fierce competition and not as big of a name but their food is equally as tasty! I'd even say their tender sauce is better than others. It's more of a seasoned ranch, yum! Tenders themselves are so good, bread is toasted perfectly and the cold slaw is awesome. Fries are thick, not my favorite but still moderately crisp. I always have great service but the last time I was in I ordered and paid for 5 tenders but only received 3. I had already left the drive thru so there was no resolution but I will forever miss those 2, unreceived, tenders. Definitely worth a stop if you're sick of the same old fast food burger joints. read more

Hmmm. It had been years since my last visit. It will be years before a return. When this place opened years ago, I seemed to remember a decent grilled chicken salad (an actual salad not a mayo laden concoction). The salad I got today featured wimpy grilled chicken in what appeared to be some older greens with a few raisins thrown in and an okay but nothing special variety of dressings. The kids running the place were very nice, instead it was the lousy salad. BTW the salad was over nine bucks. My guess is most people get the fried tenders not anything grilled. Ugh. read more

Who doesn't like chicken tenders? I think pretty much everyone does. I'm sure even vegans sneak in the occasional chicken tender or two. So it would only make sense that someone would open up a restaurant that makes one thing - chicken tenders. Well today I found a place just like this! I was driving on Beechmont by the 275 interchange and noticed that the Arby's by the Recker and Boerger had been closed down and in its place was a new fast food restaurant called Tender Towne. I had to stop in and check it out. The inside no longer reaked of gelatinous roast beef and stale curly fries but instead had been replaced with the warm smell of deep fried chicken (Yankee Candle needs a scent like this haha). Also gone was the tacky decor and in its place was a fresh cozy dining room with flat screens on the wall playing light music videos. There were ample employees on staff and everyone seemed to be in good spirits and eager to serve every customer who was in line. The menu was about as straightforward as it comes. They had 3, 4, and 5 piece chicken tender meals that were all served with fries, coleslaw, garlic bread, and a drink. They also had a chicken tender wrap and a chicken tender salad. You could also purchase chicken tenders ala carte. And this was the extent of the menu. No burgers, no grilled chicken, no BS, just chicken tenders. I went against the advice of my cardiologist, my nutrionist, and my body and ordered the 5 piece meal. They claim their chicken tenders are marinated for 12 hours and hand-breaded. And I believe it! The tenders melted in my mouth and were absolutely the best fast food chicken tenders I've ever had. The chicken was served with something called tender sauce which seemed to be ranch dressing with cajun seasoning mixed into it. It was very tasty. The fries were thick and delicious as well. The coleslaw and garlic bread were also appetizing but nothing special. In the end I was impressed with everything. It seems that they are big on customer service which is a nice change from the typical lackadaisical fast food experience. Hopefully this will also translate into consistently high food quality which in my opinion is the only thing stopping this new business concept from becoming a successful franchise. There is nothing worse than old dried out chicken tenders and I hope they can figure out a way to serve the tenders fresh and hot to every customer. So far, so good. read more

I'd say that the food quality is on par with Raising Canes, and that their dipping sauce is actually better. The batter has less seasoning than RCs. The combos are just about the same as RCs also, consisting of tenders, cole slaw, fries, and garlic bread. Interior decor is where the similarities end. Tender Towne is has a very generic interior, 3 TVs, as RCs is way louder. But, since Cincinnati doesn't really have any Raising Canes(though one just opened in West Chester-I think), I guess Tender Towne doesn't have any competition (yet). There has been a couple of occasions where I have found hair in my food, one time in particular I actually pulled a hair from my throat (disgusting). They have absolutely the best chicken tenders I've ever had anywhere! Always piping hot all the side dishes are good as well and the food is always very fresh! The people who work there are efficient, super nice, very polite. I rarely find a coleslaw that I like but they're Cole slaw is very good also. I'm not sure what is in the sauce but it is absolutely delicious. It has a little bit of a kick to it. The price is very reasonable. I heard it described as a Raising Cane's with more than chicken. However, that's an insult, to Raising Cane's. The chicken is cooked great, but the flavor of the greese was just horrid. The fries were also distasteful. What ever greese they use for their friers either needs cleaned or a better quality chosen. Price and selection-wise, they are about on par with Raising Cane's. Other than the obvious taste inferiority, Tender Towne's offerings seem to be considerably smaller in comparison - especially when considering price. It was worth the try, but won't be worth a repeat visit when I can go to Raising Cane's and get more for the same price and it taste much better there as well. Atmosphere: looks like a repurposed, run-down Arby's with new signs and 3 televisions. Service: Slow, inattentive, however friendly. read more

At one point in my life I had a pretty unhealthy addiction to chicken tenders. They are one of my favorite foods, but I have since tried to cut back on fried food. Tender Towne just recently opened near my parents house, so on a visit I just had to try them out. Tender Towne is basically the same exact restaurant as Raising Canes (a chicken tender chain restaurant). The menu items have different names, but they are the same thing. Not sure if Tender Towne has any relation to Cane's or if someone just decided to copy what they do. While they serve the same food, the recipes do appear to be different. The chicken tenders at Tender Towne are huge. I got the "Four Top" which was 4 tenders, fries, slaw and garlic bread. If I ever return I'll get the 3 piece size instead. I did enjoy the taste and texture of the tenders though. The bread was also good and the fries were just ok. The inside was fine, typical fast food set up. They did have TV's blaring country music videos, this is something I could have done without. However since it is Clermont County, I am probably in the minority with that opinion. Tender Towne isn't located conveniently to me, but if I am in a chicken tender mood when out visiting my parents, I'd definitely stop in. read more

Be forewarned - the only thing here that isn't deep fried is the cole slaw and the drinks. If you don't want chicken strips and fries, stop reading and don't go, that's all they have. What's different - the tenders are not long strips like you usually find, they're short 3" fat hunks of breast meat. That makes them very meaty, very "chicken-y" tasting. Other than that, the breading was way salty, nondescript and gooey-greasy, only crisp on the outside edges. My fingers kept getting covered with batter, reminiscent of eating KFC original recipe but without the flavor. The two tiny napkins they doled out weren't nearly enough so I had to go ask for more - come on, put them on the counter. The fries were fries, the garlic toast was really garlic powder toast, probably from Sam's club, and the dipping sauce was a strong buttermilk ranch, tasting much more of buttermilk than ranch. Given all that and loud country music playing on a Sunday at lunchtime, "meh I've experienced better" is a fair rating, especially for a place that only serves one thing. read more

They were fluffy crunchy chicken strips but definitely not giant as suggested in another review. 15 Fries and a drink added gave me the $5.99 charge. It was only worth the money since I had a buy one get one free meal. Did drive-thru so can't talk on the inside of the restaurant. Only saw 2 employees. I'll stick to Chick Fil A. read more

Tender Towne is a brand new venture in Withamsville owned by the same folks that own Butterbees. Reference that particular review if you already haven't. This restaurant obviously specializes in chicken tenders, hence the name Tender Towne. The joint serves the same exact tenders as Butterbees, same breading, same sauce, all of that. If you're looking to grab some tenders on the go, I highly recommend Tender Towne. Pricey, but the service and the quality of the food definitely makes up for it. read more

I thought I'd give this place a shot when they sent out a variety of promotional materials and discount coupons as they first opened, and always looking to support a local business (especially in chain restaurant suburbia). This is a weird restaurant, where the only things they sell are breaded and fried, or otherwise heavy comfort food. In the same vein as a place like Raising Cane's, except without the awesome sauces and proximity to a college to get the crowd packed in. Unfortunately, they're also.... Not very good! Very bland fried chicken tenders, with no real spice or flavor, taste the same as any store-bought frozen tenders. The slaw is pretty good, if you prefer a more savory slaw (it's not very sweet at all), which is my ideal. Combining the two as a wrap turns out pretty well, though I wouldn't ever go out of my way to visit this location, especially when there's two Chik Fil As and a Popeyes within 5 minutes, all much better options. read more
