Went to skyline on a Saturday afternoon, and every single table was dirty with dishes on it. We had to ask somebody to clear a table for us and had to stand there and wait while they did. Our server was really nice, I think she felt like they were gonna be a lot of upset people coming in because of the way the restaurant looked. We left her a bigger tip because we felt sorry for her. Unfortunately I have to write this review because I used to love this place. Came here after a while (since I've been on a diet) and got my usual cheese coneys. Well, these were disgusting. If you've ever left a towel in the washer for weeks or maybe a wet rag in your sink for way too long you would be familiar with the taste of these hot dogs. Today, actually tried the breakfast trial run and I have to admit it was good! Breakfast chilito was a hit. Filled with a lot of flavor. The place was booming and the reviews were all very positive. This has always been my favorite Skyline to dine in at. First of all, every worker I have encountered here as been extremely hospitable; this location has a bit of a cozy southern vibe. The food always comes out within five minutes of ordering and you can see the full kitchen from the dining room. The drive thru is constantly cranking through customers as well with hot delicious food. This time around, I got the black beans and rice chili in a bowl with a side of sour cream and onion, topped with the famous Skyline cheese. Checkout was easy with a quick scan of the barcode on the receipt to pay online. I hope this Skyline location always sticks around! read more

My family's fav place to eat. Ambiance is fun, fast-paced, & family friendly. Food is delicious always. Although I'll keep the 5 stars bc Skyline is iconic & long-standing family favorite, I would be remiss not to mention the recent absurd price hikes. It's becoming difficult to eat there often at this rate. Consider giving us a little break there, huh? I'm from Detroit so I'm familiar with Detroit style coney islands such as Lafayette and National. I am biased in that I prefer those to Skyline however Skyline is certainly great in its own right. This one in particular had some pretty dirty carpet but it was during a very high traffic time. The staff was quick and pleasant. Food wise it's pretty much the same as all the others. They are each essentially carbon copies. I always ask for my food without cheese because of the sheer amount of cheese they pile on. However if you have the room in your diet it is certainly worth it to get the cheese. One thing I like about the skyline is the bowls of crackers that are at the tables. It's a nice little snack before the food arrives and they are good as well. Great place to grab a quick lunch or dinner. I will definitely be back. read more

Our favorite skyline just got a big remodel. Like a total gut-job for sure! Sad to see the spinning bar stools go, but love the high top counter and chairs in its place. I'm pretty big though, and there's not enough space between the bar and the booths now. They left the bar and booths in the same place instead of putting more space in between for the bigger chairs. They have a back on the chairs too so it's hard to go through there. read more

What a wonderful Wednesday night date night with my 4 year old son!! They had crafts for the kiddos and my son loved making his snowman ornament! Great service from Alexa (?) I believe her name was. I take the kids through the drive through whenever we are too casual for the dining room. Yes, Skyline has standards and my sweaty, stinky, shirtless 12 year old is a bit too casual for even THIS dining room. Lucky for me, they serve their new Greek Salad from the window and you can get it small or large. I say, go large! Tiny chopped, cucumbers with itty bitty chick peas, feta cheese "cubettes", red onion and cherry tomatoes. It's so good! My only complaint is the plastic Hot Sauce packets do not taste the same as the hot sauce out of the bottle inside the chili parlor. Not sure why.....and I wish they had Frozen Coke so I did not have to stop at Speedway after picking up cheese coneys! Anyway, the cold milk in the fridge at home will wash down my hot sauce and cracker habit. And my stinky kids will be happy with cheese coneys. The service of this Skyline is so dependent on which crew is working when you go in. Sometimes my food is right and I get good service and other times are like today. I went through the drive thru with no line and only 2 diners inside. After I ordered I realized that my chilito was made wrong. I went in to have them fix it (with sour cream). They did manage to put the smallest dollop on it. I start driving home and open my fries. Luke warm, soggy, and undercooked. Avoid this location! The Ohio Pike Location (Cherry Grove) is the only Skyline you need to visit! Carlos the manager, and Carrie and Paige the servers are what make this the best Skyline in the city! If you visit this location, ask for either of them, they will make your visit excellent! Service here is nice, fast, and the food is the perfect temperature and always made correctly. And it's quick! What I love about Skyline is I can get fast food, in a comfy atmosphere and sit down at a booth. I have so many favorite dishes, but always get a 5-way with no cheese and a side of Mexi-Ranch, and I mix that in with my way. Delicious! The restaurant is clean, servers are friendly as can be, but that chili just isn't very good. It's the cinnamon. What is is with these Cincinnati institutions being sweet??? (Looking at you La Rosa's). I had the mini dogs buried under roughly half a metric ton of processed cheese product. No amount of cheese can hide the cinnamon though. This gets a solid four stars considering all factors of taste, price, and for what it is. Cincinnati is known for their chili - and Skyline is one of the most well known. Family and I came here for a test and was surprisingly impressed by just how much food and how tasty it was for such a good price. For reference point - the Chili orders come in 3-way, 4-way, and 5-way. The 3-way is with CHILI, SPAGHETTI, and CHEESE. 4-way is with either BEANS or ONIONS. And 5-way is with both BEANS and ONIONS. The Large potion is definitely big enough to split. Fiance and I split a large and Parents and Sister split another large. Apparently there are not enough Asians in Cincinnati, because it came with a butt-load of CHEESE. If you're going to trim off some of the cheese, do it BEFORE it melts into the rest of the food. Because afterwards, it just becomes one big glob. Overall, it was tasty and delicious and very very cheesy. Our server was also very friendly and checking up with us every 5 minutes or so. I could be the worst service in the world and I had to eat off of someone's dirty shoe and I'd probably still give it 4 stars. (Seriously.) That being said, this place is so sloooooow. There are kids everywhere, usually screaming. I've waited 25 minutes for an eight dollar take out order - and this stuff isn't made to order, people! I eat here quite regularly, usually lunch time. Although they get busy, the service is usually rather quick. The waitresses have always been very friendly. Obviously I am like everyone else and love the cheese - it makes the 3 way for sure! Only downside is the location can be difficult to park during peak times. read more
