What a delight to have something like this open in Midtown! Easily the best pizza in Santa Fe, with a focused but exciting menu of appetizers, salads, pizzas, cocktails, and wine/beer. The atmosphere is at once sophisticated enough for a date while also being family friendly. We couldn't be happier with our experience. Service was friendly and attentive. Thank you for a wonderful evening! We're very excited to return!

Gosar with most of the sauce and toppings in the very center with too much crust

I love wood fired oven pizza and Tender Fire does gourmet sourdough pies that are personal sized at 12" each. They are currently operating in the parking lot of El Rey Court so the pizza oven is outdoors and everything is made to order. For 2 pizzas and a shrub, it was $47 including tax and tip. Bring a hat and wear some sunscreen because we waited about 10 minutes in line and another 20-25 minutes for our order to be ready. There's some shady and grassy areas, but this a pet friendly hotel so be careful where you sit. I tried a pineapple shrub to drink which is made of vinegar and sugar. It reminded me of kombucha because of the funkiness from all the vinegar. Not my favorite, but that's just my preference and it was worth a try. For food, we went with the Gosar which had Italian sausage and red onion. The toppings were mostly in the center of the pizza so the dough in the center was a bit underdone. The flavor was still pretty good but I wish that the toppings were more evenly distributed. My favorite pizza was the Date which had pepperoni, mozzarella and dates. This one was cooked perfectly but with less toppings.

The owner of Tender Fire has only the very best intentions and everything starts with intention. Thoughtful staff, fresh, fresh ingredients, nice/fun atmoshere. It's amazing to us how many folks can't make a pizza right! We have a parlor nearby but will drive across town for Tender Fire. Thank you for all your efforts, infinite blessings for the coming New Year! We miss you already. PBH, former Head Pro/GM of Pebble Beach MCH, former Host/Floor Mgr. for Clint Eastwood

Favorite pizza in Santa Fe! True sourdough & a great menu! I love the Nettle & classic Margarita. :) You can get takeout or you can enjoy the evening social distance style under the sunset & string lights!

I love everything about Tender Fire... the best pizza I've ever had, HANDS DOWN, and the only pizza I've ever had that didn't make me feel guilty afterwards! All the ingredients are fresh from the farm and chemical free, and the dough is fermented sourdough which is great for the gut! The setting is lovely beneath the trees at El Rey Court and the staff are sweet and adorable. Thank you Tender Fire for being such a positive addition to the community

We had the Gosar and Marquarita pizzas and were blown away by the taste of the sausage (spicy and some not so spicy).

The restaurant is roomy and lively. It's right across the street from the Hilton, where we stayed! My colleague ordered pizza to go on the first night, walked over and returned back to hotel room! I should have done that too! Our party of 6 came from Hawaii and just trusted the process...we ordered several wood oven pizzas (sorry I didn't pay attention to what my friends ordered ) I had the Tartufo - omggg it was to die for!!! the food is amazing and affordable! We would come back again and again if we could!! The employees were friendly and helpful! We were leaving the next morning so some of us took the leftovers and ate it at our stopover!! We will definitely come back if we have another conference there!!

Located in the Plaza off of San Francisco St., we didn't realize there was it's own parking lot that is shared with others around the corner (we parked at a public structure for 5 bucks 2 blocks away). This is an order at the counter establishment of which I do not care for, especially if it's pricey (which it was). We started off with the house salad for 7.50/ea and totally not worth it (just some lettuce tomatoes and dressing with a piece of bread). 2 of us had pizzas 1 a calzone and another pasta. Pizzas were ok, but a good size for one big appetite or to share otherwise. The calzone was HUGE but my friend did not care for it (vegetarian) as she said it had too much goat cheese and lacked flavor. My friend's pasta was just average. With a bottle of cab and 2 soft drinks, the price came to a pricey 120 bucks before tip (the servers do deliver your food and drinks to the table). Would I come back here? Probably not. I have had others word of mouth that also did not care for it.

My main disappointment the food is overpriced. The pasta dishes were pretty good, but not nearly $30 worth. The pizza crust is kinda doughy, which makes it feel heavier than expected... and also like it should cost less. I think if I'd dined in, the atmosphere would have pushed it up a bit, but on its own we were surprised by the bill.

Wait: I made dinner reservations for 6:45pm and upon arrival, the host/bartender asked everyone who had reservations and who is a walk in. A walk-in party of two were seated before us. We informed the host we had reservations, but when another customer came in, the host overlooked my party and my husband had to speak up to let him know we had reservations. We finally got seated 10 minutes after our reservation. This is very disappointing when you have two hungry kids in tow. Drinks: The wait for the food was long. We decided to put our drink order in and we were informed a few minutes later that the Java Stout I ordered was out. I decided to pick a jalapeño margarita and was informed by the waiter that they ran out of margarita mix and that he would comp my drink at no extra charge as he felt the drink might not meet my expectations. The margarita wasn't terrible as I expected; however, I appreciated his gesture. Food: my husband decided to order the salchiccha (sausage) en broccoli pasta dish and when he received his plate, there was no sausage in the pasta. When we informed the waiter, he mentioned he could take the dish back because that was the cook's interpretation of the dish. Management needs to update the menu to accurately describe the dish. Anyone reading the description of that entree would have expected pieces of sausage. I ordered the fettuccine all vogole and the portion of the pasta was very small. The amount of clams were disproportionate to the amount of pasta noodles given. My plate was delicious but the portion size could improve. All in all, management has a lot of improvements to work on in order to make the customer's experience great. Our waiter was great and we still gave him a good tip because the disappointing experience we had was outside of his control and he did his best to fix things. Management needs to do better.

The crust has that perfect crunch-but-soft situation like it went to culinary school. The sauce actually tastes like tomatoes (wild concept). And they do NOT play games with toppings -- they pile them on like they love you. Staff is friendlier than a small town parade. Orders come out fast, hot, and correct (which in 2026 is basically a miracle). If you don't like Pizza Barn, I don't trust you. This is Edgewood royalty. Five stars. Would risk lactose intolerance again.

There was a bit of a wait to get to order however, with 4 servers taking orders we got it done in no time. Then we were able to go find a table and sit and wait for our dinner to be brought out. We each had a beer to drink and beer came out right away. This restaurant is lively and quite loud volume. You definitely have to talk louder so that you can all have a conversation. Soon after buffalo wings and fried pickles arrived. We were definitely enjoying our food. While waiting for the pizzas to arrive we were able to watch the football games from several large tv screens. 10 minutes later our pizzas came out. The pepperoni and green chile and 2nd pizza jalapeno ground beef and fresh sliced tomatoes were tasty. Everything came out delicious. Our visit to the Pizza Barn was great fun and tasty.
