First of all, whoever picked up the phone went above and beyond as far as customer service. He talked me through my choices in pizza and salad. I ended up going with the Chelsea, which has Italian sausage and meatballs, in addition to onion and green pepper. Super thin crust, which did get a little soggy on the car ride home, but it was still chewy and tender and tasted great. The Caesar salad was also excellent. Kind of a powdery Parmesan on top instead of shreds of the cheese, and a flavorful dressing that tasted homemade to me-it didn't need anything. I'll definitely be back! read more

My husband and I tried to change up the food we ate when we came to Santa Fe and decided one night would be pizza night, why not! Being native 'New Jerseyians' we have higher standards than most for our pizza (I grew up 20 minutes from NYC for reference). The pizza here was EXPENSIVE. Our large pizza with half just cheese and the other half eggplant ( my husband loves eggplant pizza everywhere we go) was -I believe- about $23. They charged us as if we got a topping on the whole thing instead of half, okay, we are on vacation and didn't say anything. For a sunday night, it was decently busy with a constant steam of customers coming to pickup their to-go orders while we waited for our food. It was one of the most UNCOMFORTABLE seating areas we have ever been to- the chairs were terrible. And the decor felt minimal in a weird way. However, the pizza was pretty good once it came out. We waited about 15 minutes for our pizza and I am not gonna lie, we demolished that large pie between the two of us- we did have a lighter lunch and we were on the go all day. This was a nice thin and pretty crispy pizza with the perfect amount of cheese and sauce. It wasn't quite as good as home, but not a bad substitute halfway across the country! Our biggest issue was the price and their uncomfortable seating. They also had gelato, but we were so full from the pizza we couldn't eat another thing! read more

I'm a simple kinda pizza gal but I'll branch out from time to time to mix it up and I HIGHLY recommend the specialty pizza, "Tribeca". It is ABSOLUTELY delicious and a must try, especially if you like truffle! Additionally, if you want something sweet.. The gelato is soooo yummy and creamy, high quality gelato at this spot. I tried Pizza Centro on a whim because I didn't know what was good pizza-wise in Santa Fe as a Burqueña. I'm not a big pizza person but I did grow to appreciate it while I lived in New Jersey. Since I moved to New Mexico, I have really been able to satisfy my New York style pizza cravings, until now. I love this place. It has big slices, thin crust, and it is perfect for folding. :) If you're missing that east coast pizza try this place out! read more

I ordered a extra large Brighton Beach and it was so salty as it turns out it was missing red peppers, garlic, onion and sundried tomatoes. I tried to call but the restaurant was closing shortly and no one answered. The missing items could have really toned down the saltiness of the anchovies and kalamata olives (all that was on the pizza was marina sauce, mozzarella cheese, anchovies and kalamata olives, I looked carefully). I do not like to leave bad reviews and almost never do. This was the first time I ordered from this Pizza place and unfortunately the last time. I hate to spend 30 dollars for a not so good pizza. The reputation of this Pizza restaurant was pretty good so I am unsure why so many items were missing. If the restaurant was out of these items then I should have been told. read more

Pizza Centro's original location, in the downtown Design Center, is located near the Capitol-government complex and is notoriously hard to park at. The pizza, of course, is some of the best in Santa Fe, and last summer I would often order pizzas from them for the office staff at the nonprofit where I worked. The southside location is the successor to a long string of failed New York style pizza places (Patsy's or Lucci's, anyone?) that came and went (as did the disgusting nextdoor neighbor Wild Wild Wok; someone should write a book about Santa Fe's storied history of disastrous restaurant failures) under the watchful eye of the Stadium 14 movie theater. In fact, the whole shopping center has had no shortage of restaurant bombs, as I think back on Josh's Barbeque, and Southside Bar and Grill, which is now the Santa Fe Capitol Grill. Any bets on how long Thai Cafe can survive? Yesterday my girlfriend and I came into Pizza Centro Southside during my lunch break and ordered a 16" green chile and pepperoni pizza called The Bowery (all their pies are named for neighborhoods and landmarks in New York). It was chilly inside, and windy outside, so we waited in both locations until deciding to eat our food at one of the indoor tables. The pizza arrived hot and greasy (my girlfriend dabbed off some of the excess oil with a napkin). Each slice was heaven sent, a cocktail of delicious ingredients. The green chile was roasted expertly and full of flavor, while the pepperoni offered a bold, spicy accompaniment. Additionally, the sauce was divine and the crust thin and just balanced between soft and chewy. We ate as much as we could, and later had the leftovers for part of dinner. Though this joint offers little comfort for guests dining in, the food is wonderful and the service efficient. I'd recommend ordering to-go, as they don't deliver, and bringing a pizza to your social function, work party or kids birthday of choice. Green chile and pepperoni is one of my favorite combos, but explore their specialty pizzas or build your own. read more

This place was really good the food was awesome I would give it five stars but the customer service was a little lacking. They pretty much just brought the pizza with nothing else instead of bringing out napkins and possibly asking me if I wanted a fork or any utensils. I would put zero stars if I could but it's not an option. I placed an order for a pepperoni pizza over the phone and they asked me to confirm my phone number and said it would be ready in 20 minutes. I came to pick up the pizza 23-25 minutes later. They tried to give me someone else's order initially and then said they did not have my order even though it was over the phone and not an internet order that they could have not received an email for. They said they would make a pizza now. They told me to give them 10 minutes. I said ok and waited outside- I came back in after 15 minutes and the cashier told me they did not make the pizza because they did not know I wanted one. It is pretty ridiculous that I would wait outside for my late order and they decided to not make it after saying they were going to. I ended up just leaving. I grew up in Rhode Island and Connecticut. Spent lots of time in Massachusetts too. My point? I grew up eating great pizza. Italian neighborhoods with a Pizza joint on every corner. Sadly Living in NM and COLORADO you don't get great pizza. This is as authentic as it gets to the real deal. Reminds me of back home. Volatile man running this place. Worst customer service everrrr. I'm still shocked by this experience. Can't believe the guy was just yelling at me, calling me a liar. I ordered through Grubhub, immediately called and talked to a woman to let her know I just ordered through Grubhub and wanted to make sure they knew it was gluten free, she was confused and nonsensical. I also direct messaged grubhub driver about gluten free and he missed my note about GF, the he called restaurant to correct it and they said it was too late to change it. I called, got the woman again, she passed me over to a man who proceeded to yell and berate me, saying he's the only one who answers the phone (even though she answered this call?? lol) that she doesn't answer the phone, that I never called and I'm a liar.
