First of all, whoever picked up the phone went above and beyond as far as customer service. He talked me through my choices in pizza and salad. I ended up going with the Chelsea, which has Italian sausage and meatballs, in addition to onion and green pepper. Super thin crust, which did get a little soggy on the car ride home, but it was still chewy and tender and tasted great. The Caesar salad was also excellent. Kind of a powdery Parmesan on top instead of shreds of the cheese, and a flavorful dressing that tasted homemade to me-it didn't need anything. I'll definitely be back! read more

The pizza is good here, but the staff not so much. Called repeatedly to put in a pick-up order, no answer - over and over. I figured they must be really busy, so I drive over and find a literally empty store with the two Latinas that work there just sitting at a table talking amongst themselves. Apparently the conversation must have been good, as it was too much for them to take three steps to answer the phone. read more

5:15 on a Sunday; walked in and ordered 2 plain slices. I was told "we are sold out". Yet your doors are open amd your taking phone orders .. it's plain pizza!! How are you sold out? I'm the only person in here! I think that in itself is telling. You clearly did not want to accommodate my extremely complicated order. Got it. read more

Good New York style pizza. Floppy and greasy just as expected. 16" cheese with basil and balsamic tasted very good. Price for pizza was reasonable. Ordered for takeout and pizza was hot and ready in 15 min. read more

Delicious Pizza and meat balls parm is the best in town! I love getting their salad too. I look forward to ordering there today.

Great pizza and timely service! They are awesome. Kind, friendly and reasonably price. Great choice for pizza and I highly recommend.

Alphabet city the bomb!! Always good, the best vegetarian pizza I've had. Always do takeout.

The BEST Pizza in Santa Fe. Light and crisp crust! High-quality ingredients It's especially good if you take it home and heat it up at 425 for five minutes just as they suggest I like the meatball mushroom and green chili (My own creation), and it pairs very well with some of the red wine from Vivac. A great local winery read more

Was looking for a good pizza place to come in since I worked in the industry for 15 years. Pizza Central was phenomenal. Staff is excellent and the pizza was some of the best I've ever had until they make the dough in store and crispy and it was just some of the best pizza dough I've ever had. Store was definitely clean and the bathrooms were phenomenal and I would recommend this to anybody that lives in Santa Fe or visiting for a quick trip. read more

This small pizza place is fantastic! I really liked the pizza at this place. The restaurant is small but very clean. The pizza was hot and fresh. I would highly recommend this place! read more

Pizza Centro Southside - Pepperoni and mushroom pizza - Pizza Near Me - Santa Fe, New Mexico

My husband and I tried to change up the food we ate when we came to Santa Fe and decided one night would be pizza night, why not! Being native 'New Jerseyians' we have higher standards than most for our pizza (I grew up 20 minutes from NYC for reference). The pizza here was EXPENSIVE. Our large pizza with half just cheese and the other half eggplant ( my husband loves eggplant pizza everywhere we go) was -I believe- about $23. They charged us as if we got a topping on the whole thing instead of half, okay, we are on vacation and didn't say anything. For a sunday night, it was decently busy with a constant steam of customers coming to pickup their to-go orders while we waited for our food. It was one of the most UNCOMFORTABLE seating areas we have ever been to- the chairs were terrible. And the decor felt minimal in a weird way. However, the pizza was pretty good once it came out. We waited about 15 minutes for our pizza and I am not gonna lie, we demolished that large pie between the two of us- we did have a lighter lunch and we were on the go all day. This was a nice thin and pretty crispy pizza with the perfect amount of cheese and sauce. It wasn't quite as good as home, but not a bad substitute halfway across the country! Our biggest issue was the price and their uncomfortable seating. They also had gelato, but we were so full from the pizza we couldn't eat another thing! read more

Everything was delicious. We got the garlic bread and Central Park pizza, and left with two scoops of gelato. New favorite pizza place for sure. read more

Good quality pizza compared to east coast - just as good when heated up in the oven per the instructions on the box. -2 stars for the price, $33+ for a medium sized pizza is pretty wild especially when they skimp a little on the toppings that are 3$+ per topping read more

Great pizza, great service, not much more to say! My go-to middle of the day pizza run.

GOSH, I LOVE THIS PLACE! Been going here for years and if you love east coast pizza, well this is about as close as you can get in Santa Fe, in my opinion. I'm a simple kinda pizza gal but I'll branch out from time to time to mix it up and I HIGHLY recommend the specialty pizza, "Tribeca". It is ABSOLUTELY delicious and a must try, especially if you like truffle! Additionally, if you want something sweet.. The gelato is soooo yummy and creamy, high quality gelato at this spot. While the prices may be a bit steep, trust me when I say, it's worth the splurge... this place is a treat! ORDER NOW! You won't regret it. read more

Really yummy pizza. There does seem to be a shortage of pizza joints in Santa Fe, especially compared to Michigan, lol. Pizza Centro Southside has friendly staff, a super clean interior, and delicious pizza. read more

I tried Pizza Centro on a whim because I didn't know what was good pizza-wise in Santa Fe as a Burqueña. I'm not a big pizza person but I did grow to appreciate it while I lived in New Jersey. Since I moved to New Mexico, I have really been able to satisfy my New York style pizza cravings, until now. I love this place. It has big slices, thin crust, and it is perfect for folding. :) If you're missing that east coast pizza try this place out! read more

I recently posted a review complaining that they had closed. Oops! The pizzeria that had closed was actually Pizza Nine on Airport Road. My bad. Pizza Centro Southside is a solid Pizzeria with lots of options. Now that Pizza Nine is closed, Pizza Centro Southside gets my business. read more

Definitely NY Style, I've only gotten the small size, I bet the x large would be the full foldable NY experience. I get it plain cheese because it's perfect the way it is , I don't want any other flavor muddling up the delicious sauce and cheese read more

Very disappointed in the pizza not being cooked thoroughly through on two of the pizzas. The edges seemed to be crispy, but the center doughy and way undercooked. The Greek salad nice, but portions of the gelato could've been a little more generous for ordering a couple larges. read more

This is the best pizza in the state. I seriously wish we had one in Taos. Pizza Centro would make a killing here. Every time I go to Santa Fe I have to get some of this pizza. It is amazing and consistent every time. The crust is perfect and they never skimp on toppings. I'm so happy that I can get legit NY pizza in New Mexico. read more

I ordered a extra large Brighton Beach and it was so salty as it turns out it was missing red peppers, garlic, onion and sundried tomatoes. I tried to call but the restaurant was closing shortly and no one answered. The missing items could have really toned down the saltiness of the anchovies and kalamata olives (all that was on the pizza was marina sauce, mozzarella cheese, anchovies and kalamata olives, I looked carefully). I do not like to leave bad reviews and almost never do. This was the first time I ordered from this Pizza place and unfortunately the last time. I hate to spend 30 dollars for a not so good pizza. The reputation of this Pizza restaurant was pretty good so I am unsure why so many items were missing. If the restaurant was out of these items then I should have been told. read more

Heard rave reviews about this place so decided to drop in. Best pizza so far for Santa Fe, crust was fresh and delicious, toppings, fresh. We had the ex-large Chelsea. Customer service was excellent, pace was slow, as they had just opened. Anyone who is tired of the typical Santa Fe fare will enjoy this eatery for a change of pace! read more

We really enjoyed the Greek salad and Times Square pizza. The green chili added a nice touch.

Pizza Centro's original location, in the downtown Design Center, is located near the Capitol-government complex and is notoriously hard to park at. The pizza, of course, is some of the best in Santa Fe, and last summer I would often order pizzas from them for the office staff at the nonprofit where I worked. The southside location is the successor to a long string of failed New York style pizza places (Patsy's or Lucci's, anyone?) that came and went (as did the disgusting nextdoor neighbor Wild Wild Wok; someone should write a book about Santa Fe's storied history of disastrous restaurant failures) under the watchful eye of the Stadium 14 movie theater. In fact, the whole shopping center has had no shortage of restaurant bombs, as I think back on Josh's Barbeque, and Southside Bar and Grill, which is now the Santa Fe Capitol Grill. Any bets on how long Thai Cafe can survive? Yesterday my girlfriend and I came into Pizza Centro Southside during my lunch break and ordered a 16" green chile and pepperoni pizza called The Bowery (all their pies are named for neighborhoods and landmarks in New York). It was chilly inside, and windy outside, so we waited in both locations until deciding to eat our food at one of the indoor tables. The pizza arrived hot and greasy (my girlfriend dabbed off some of the excess oil with a napkin). Each slice was heaven sent, a cocktail of delicious ingredients. The green chile was roasted expertly and full of flavor, while the pepperoni offered a bold, spicy accompaniment. Additionally, the sauce was divine and the crust thin and just balanced between soft and chewy. We ate as much as we could, and later had the leftovers for part of dinner. Though this joint offers little comfort for guests dining in, the food is wonderful and the service efficient. I'd recommend ordering to-go, as they don't deliver, and bringing a pizza to your social function, work party or kids birthday of choice. Green chile and pepperoni is one of my favorite combos, but explore their specialty pizzas or build your own. read more

The pizza here is just about as good as it gets for pizza in New Mexico! I recently moved to Santa Fe from Albuquerque and was looking for something comparable to my favorite pizza joint in ABQ, Slice Parlor. Pizza Centro is on point! The crust is authentic New York style and the toppings on the pizza are mouthwatering and all around delicious. My mouth is drooling thinking of their pizza. Can't wait to go back! read more

This place was really good the food was awesome I would give it five stars but the customer service was a little lacking. They pretty much just brought the pizza with nothing else instead of bringing out napkins and possibly asking me if I wanted a fork or any utensils. Overall I definitely would eat there again the food was amazing the toppings were amazing it was the over abundance of toppings soon as I picked up the pizza all the toppings fell off and there were still plenty of toppings on the pizza. read more

This is great pizza. It's our take out go to. They do not fail to deliver consistently good crust and light not over sauced pizza. Make your own or try one of their "signature" pizzas. We adore the Chelsea but to each his own. If you want to eat in, it's no frills, just be aware. read more

Came to pizza Centro to pick up a pizza for dinner everything was going to plan until I got home with the wrong pizza called and they were very nice and made my pizza right away it was a honest mistake but they went up and above to make sure I was satisfied Great Job you don't see this much in Santa Fe and was very refreshing to see this type of customer service the correct pizza was excellent Thanks Again for a great dinner and will keep going here in the future read more

I would put zero stars if I could but it's not an option. I placed an order for a pepperoni pizza over the phone and they asked me to confirm my phone number and said it would be ready in 20 minutes. I came to pick up the pizza 23-25 minutes later. They tried to give me someone else's order initially and then said they did not have my order even though it was over the phone and not an internet order that they could have not received an email for. They said they would make a pizza now. They told me to give them 10 minutes. I said ok and waited outside- I came back in after 15 minutes and the cashier told me they did not make the pizza because they did not know I wanted one. It is pretty ridiculous that I would wait outside for my late order and they decided to not make it after saying they were going to. I ended up just leaving. This is unusual because this place is normally good. But today I had an awful experience and eventually just left read more

So this place is a bit pricey and I don't really know if they ever have coupons. For 2 large pizza's with 3 toppings, it came out to $45 YIKES!! And they don't have a medium option, only small, large and extra large. Their ingredients do seem fresh and of good quality. However I've had pizza from here at least 3 times and the last time I had pizza here it was super greasy. The pizza crust only comes in one style which is hand tossed so sorry if you are a deep dish crust kind of person. They also do have some unique pizza's available, but i've yet to try them cause I am super picky about my toppings. I would give them a higher rating if they weren't as expensive. read more
