Pretzel with beer cheese
Saphace A.

My friend is doing the ale trail and this is one of the spots of the list! They've got a deli at the front and the bar area towards the back. We sat in the deli area since we were planning on eating. It's not a large place. A few booths and tables at the front and the bar area has more booths and bar seating. Staff was friendly! Really nice folks. They looked young, so I assume they go to Otterbein since it's next door. We ordered the pretzel to share. So so good! I was still thinking about it the next day! It smells wonderful and tastes amazing! For entrees, I got the Reuben while my friend got the pimento grilled cheese and added smoked Turkey to it. Hefty sandwiches! I like sandwiches but can't eat much of it anymore. I could only eat half. They are large and generous on the meat! Very good flavors too. It's a nice vibe! Kind of low key. It doesn't seem to be very loud in the deli area. A lot of people do get take out from here. And they have outdoor seating at the back which would be nice when the weather is warmer! I will add that the deli area was cold. Didn't feel like they had the heat on. That or they like to keep it cool in there. Parking is at the back. Free as well! Lots of spots when I came.

The food from the deli is great. From what I tasted the beer is great too. On visit list when in town.

I've been here a few times and never reviewed. The beer is good and the food from the deli is great. I've had the rueben and one of their cheese/meat boards that included olives. I was in the mood for a nice warm pretzel. The pretzel is different than what I've had before at other places. It had sort of a "crust" with a pillowy soft inside. I don't think I've had a better tasting pretzel. The mustard was nice and spicy and it came with warm cheese dip. There didn't seem to be large selection of in-house brews this time around. The coffee porter (CO2 version) is my favorite. The long bar area can fill up fast. It's a good spot to watch the game on the row of TV's. Service is always good and the food comes out fast. Ample parking in the back or side of the building.

Really good local brewery and Deli. The beers are moderate to low ABV which means you can try all of them. Today I had the watermelon wheat and the rueben. Some confusion in the kitchen, but good food and drink for the price. Nice space to hang out at the bar with big TVs. Also nice outdoor space in the back. Good quality, know what to expect when you come here. I like it a lot.

My pupper is obsessed with the Temperance Row dog treats!

Did you know that they make dog treats? Yep! In addition to delicious beer they make those. My dog is IN LOVE with them! So, they make really good beer and reduce waste by using the spent grains to treat doggos. Good quality stuff- Will most def be a frequent customer here!

Prohibition Pilsner

Temperance Row Brewing has very good beer. It's located in a suburb known for its prohibition past. This makes it so surprising it has a brewery. It's attached to a good bar and restaurant. The beer selection isn't big but it has many varieties. In Westerville there used to be no bars. It was the home of the Temperance movement which tried to completely ban alcohol sales. That failed badly and now it has breweries like these. I had a Prohibition Pilsner. This is about $5 for the pint. It's smooth and not hoppy. They have other fine selections. It has a lot of nitrogen beers, which are a lot creamier and smoother. The beer is on the menu next door at Uptown Deli And Brew. It has several flights available. There's a food menu if you're hungry. If you like the local breweries fad then go to Temperance Row Brewing. It's important considering the history. The fun is increased because it's attached to a great bar and restaurant.

One of fav place in Westerville! My bf and I love grabbing lunch and then hitting up the little shops. Temperance Row Brewing became one of them! It is located in uptown of Westerville, there are many interesting shops to walk to after your dining experience. They have front deli area, small but nicely manicured patio, plenty of parking spaces in the back of side and curved bar. The atmosphere is casual and relaxed. I like that most of beers can be ordered as nitro. They also serve mead. Watermelon wheat was tops. It tastes not like watermelon juice but fresh, light and fruity. Perfect drink during hot summer days. My bf had a Hot Italian Beef sandwich he told me it was good. Definitely worth a visit if you haven't been. Try Watermelon wheat!

OOH Yes! Temperance Row Brewing (connected to Uptown Deli) has some of the best beer in Westerville and surrounding areas. From watermelon beer to the Oktoberfest, there is a wide variety guaranteed to please all beer-lovers. The IPAs were all hoppy and delicious, I highly recommend trying one of them. The beers are all smooth and tasty, and paired with the snacks from Uptown Deli, it's a winner in my eyes! An easy 5/5 stars, check out this place in the heart of Westerville, you won't be disappointed.

Spoiler alert: This is only a brief review of the brewery, not the deli up front. Temperance Row is the brewery attached to the Uptown Deli. It's all one business, you can order beer in the front with a sandwich, or a sandwich in the rear with your beer. Columbus has really stepped up their brewery game these past few years and Temperance Row Brewing is no exception. A hidden gem in the uptown Westerville district, this is a can't-miss for any local craft beer aficionado. They usually have 5-8 beers on draft and you can do a beer flight of their regular 5. Plus there is a seasonal or two on draft (Oktoberfest hits in about one week, but the Porter has just about run dry!) I've enjoyed most of their beers (some seasonal IPAs are better than others, usually a good porter, and their pilsner and scottish ales are good) and I look forward to trying more seasonals. The atmosphere created in the tap room is just about perfect. It's a small space, but for those lucky enough to get a seat in here, it feels right at home. The bartender and other servers are knowledgeable about and proud of their beer. The decor on the walls is great and behind the bar, you'll see the tanks, which is a detail I enjoy every time I see it at a brewery. The fact that it's a deli restaurant also helps this place, because I don't feel like I need to dress to the nines for a night out. In fact, last time I went, I was in sandals, a T-shirt, and cargo shorts. It's your local neighborhood craft brewery I like it that way!

Watermelon Wheat Beer, Caprese Sandwhich, Chicken Salad Wrap

Great beer, tasty sandwhiches, nice patio. We stopped here after a long bike ride on the near by alum creek trail and it hit the spot. Sampled a flight of 5 of their beers, all were good, but the watermelon wheat hit the spot on a hot day. We got the caprese sandwhich and the chicken salad wrap, both were very tasty.

We did a flight at temperance along with dinner. They serve deli style food. My wife had a beet salad which she thought was amazing. I had a Italian sub which was enough for two meals! I took half home. We had a order of the curds which were pretty good. The beer was great. The place was beautiful. We sat at the bar, the bartenders were talkative and friendly. The decor was super cool. Definitely a great place in westerville! #28 on the CBUS Ale Trail

New menu gets rid of pimento cheese dip and black bean burger?!! Left because there are no other vegetarian options. Disappointed.

My wife and I eat here regularly. Could use some better 'sides' options like fries to the menu but otherwise very good.

I love State Street because of the vibe and options for drinks and food. This is located at the beginning (or end) of State Street depending on which way you come in. Located behind Co Hatch, there's plenty of parking. Walking in, the place reminds me of The GOAT locations, but just a wee bit more chill. The menu is definitely more expansive. We sat at the bar and at there were TVs around bar but not too loud. Just a comfortable place to spend a Sunday. Connor was helping us and I appreciate that he took our order without writing it down. AND it came out right! The couple next to us ordered the Cheese Curds as an appetizer and the portions are very generous. They looked amazing and we'll have to try them next time. We ordered the Blistered Brussels with Parmesan. Impressive. Not greasy. Crispy with a pop of flavor but not overpowering like some places. I'd say #3 of all the places we've tried. 12 Wings with Hot Honey and Honey Wheat bbq. Love the sauces on the wings equally. Just hit my flavor buds. Nice size wings. I would order them extra crispy next time is my only change. Really good blue cheese!! Sweet potato fries were flat crinkle cut and seasoned well. Peppery like I like. Side of BBQ for dipping. Oh yeah, true fat kid move. Honey Wheat Beer to wash out all down. Their own brew. Sarah had the Orchard Salad with Salmon and she loved it. All in all, at the same time said " We'll definitely be back!" There are so many items I want to try next time. With wine and beer, our total was $108 plus tip. More than fair for the amount and quality of food. We'll be back!!!

The Draft Room - Beer to go!

The Draft Room held a "Dark as Night" event which they featured some rare, highly rated stouts. They listed the stouts and after doing some review research, I knew I couldn't miss out! The bar has seating at the bar, small tables near the bar, and bigger tables/booth near the front of the bar. There is a small narrow outside patio, which looked mainly for smoking. I'm not sure if there are tables out there maybe when the weather is nice. The Draft Room had a ton of taps and offered flights, full beer pours, and even half beer pours for all their beers. I love this idea because sometimes I would rather have a smaller portion to try more things! The bartenders were fast and efficient. Since my husband and I both opted to do a flight, they handed us a board with four holes for the flight glasses, and a piece of chalk. The drafts are listed by number, and posted on each side of the bar. We wrote the number of the drafts we wanted to try on the chalk board paint next to each of the drink holes. What a cool idea! There was a cooler of take home beers on the side of the bar. I saw multiple people coming in and buying beer from the cooler and leaving. They have a great selection! They don't have their own food, so you can bring your own. The bar is right next to Jimmy John's and also Pasquale's! We will definitely be back!

I haven't written about The Draft Room?…read more I was introduced to this place to meet my SO's friends at one time, I think they were doing an event with Baker's Acres (another great local company). Since then - we have come back for their plant bingo quite often, and I've seen a lot of their staff, and have come away with zero complaints. They keep a nice tap list with variety (a little hop heavy, but that's the current trend, right?), they have a small selection of to-go beers and singles/BYO. It's a chill location, with Pasquale's nearby, and Ox-b's across the street (who do free delivery during plant bingo). Basically, if you like a chill bar and good drinks, this is a great place to stop in to!
