Went here for an airport workers reunion. Great place for that because it is under the approach for Port Columbus. And a great place for that sort of thing, or just hanging out. Plenty of parking. Open and airy inside, lots of wood and windows, and several big patios. No full-menu food: they have pizza sometimes, or food trucks, but of course the main draw is the beer. And I didn't have any, because I was driving and we weren't staying long, and Kid K is not yet licensed. Our group was in a room off to one side, with patio access at one end. Worked well for us (though it was raining and the roof was a little leaky.) A bit separate but right there for the bar, etc. The kid found their game cart, with both adult and all-ages games, mainly card games. Our folks got to hang out without our noise intruding too much into the other areas (which had music blasting anyway.) I got a ginger beer which was good. Service at the bar was great, friendly and patient, and she made suggestions for kid drinks (basically canned pop.) I'd definitely come back, and hopefully try some of their beers. read more

Nice German lagers on tap, including some burly barrel-aged ones! Great city skyline views of Columbus! Very dog friendly! Good pizza available on days when they don't have food trucks. (which was the case on Monday when we went) Highly recommended! Only negative is that their tap setup is pretty cumbersome and understaffed. I genuinely wanted to like Edison Brewery. Based on the marketing materials and photos showing outdoor activities, I was looking forward to a welcoming, family-friendly afternoon. Unfortunately, this visit was disappointing, and the establishment's response to constructive feedback is equally concerning. Upon arrival, we discovered that all the advertised outdoor games were missing, or maybe there was 1 game but we couldn't find it, leaving us with absolutely nothing to do. We decided to keep our visit short and leave. To keep our children occupied in the converted back parking lot, they began quietly (underhand)tossing a 4-inch foam football back and forth, standing only a few feet apart. An older gentleman approached us aggressively to state this wasn't allowed. Given his demeanor and the fact that he was actively drinking, I assumed he was a disruptive customer. When I asked if he worked there, he replied, "Actually, I'm the owner, and owners are allowed to drink" If you are looking for a venue that welcomes families, teenagers, or young adults under 21, this is absolutely the wrong place. The atmosphere feels strictly tailored to a 55+ demographic with a "sit-in-your-seat-and-drink" vibe. Edison should see community feedback as an opportunity to improve operations and restore/improve/add the amenities they once advertised. If you have a family, support area breweries that actively welcome the entire family: Nocterra Brewing: Offers a fantastic, dedicated outdoor space for families. Land-Grant Brewing: Features great open spaces and cornhole setups perfect for unwinding. Olentangy River Brewing Company & Henmick Farm and Brewery: Both provide excellent patios, welcoming environments, and true hospitality. read more

When I was driving here I thought my gps was lying because it looks so deserted on the way there lol. Eventually you come upon a big building with the brewery attached though, no worries. This place was so cozy! Plenty of room to grab a drink, watch some tv, and chillax inside but they've also got a patio (my fav), a stage, and plenty of space for vendors. I came here for the Brewtails Cocktail Competition with Noble Cut spirits. I had so much fun chatting with the different brewery and bar reps, everyone really put some thought into their drink creations. There was a live band playing along with 3 different food trucks available. I'm already looking forward to my next visit. read more

Loved this hidden gem of a brewery in Gahanna. The views are gorgeous and will definitely stop back when it is warmer so I can hang out outside. Enjoyed the beer options and they also have a full bar. Only complaint is there is limited food; basically pretzel bites and chips. A great local brewery off the beaten path. The beer stole the show as they have authentic German brews with the option of a full bar if beer isn't your thing. I liked their seating setup as there was ample options all throughout their establishment. The bartender at the front was very knowledgeable about their offerings and suggested some excellent beers based off my preferences. Their Hefeweizen was spectacular with hints of cloves and oranges; definitely at the top of my list. This location is super kid friendly as there was a wall of games that you could utilize while on site. The one pit fall here is that the food truck didn't show up as scheduled, nothing that the brewery could control, but the snacks were definitely needed after a few beers! Good work all! read more

This is one of my favorite spots in Gahanna. Especially when someone with a dog asks me where we can go. Clear view of downtown skyline (although far) & airplanes take off from CMH airport and fly right above you. No happy hour. Mostly German style beers with some variety of others (Scottish, sours, porters, ect). Wine, liquor & cocktails offered as well. So much fun & different type of seating. Dog friendly inside & out (there's no kitchen), great fake grass area w/ rocking & Adirondack chairs, stage with live music & food trucks. Wish they had 2 food trucks at a time so you could pick what you're in the mood for (and they have the space for it!), but happy there's even one! The staff is friendly & even brought out dog bowls filled with water without us asking. Board games for you to use. This place has thought of it all! read more

It can be hard to distinguish between breweries, but Edison's slick, modern interior and 5-star patio are like very few others I have seen. The concert stage, airplanes flying overhead as they land at the nearby airport, downtown Columbus skyline in the distance, and magnificent sunset views are well worth the visit to this industrial strip of Gahanna east of Hamilton Road. There are also board games and food trucks onsite. And in addition to the beer, they make a mean watermelon margarita, too. Definitely one of my favorite breweries in the Columbus area. read more

Wow, what a spot. Spectacular views of the airport. My girlfriend and I working on the Columbus trail and stop here last week. Absolutely perfect night to watch the sunset over downtown and the airport. They had live music all night and two different food trucks to choose from. Their beer is definitely more lagger heavy. Bartender was very friendly and let us have as many samples as we wanted to find the beer we liked. Can't wait to come back here! read more

Talk about the views- this place I swear has the best view in Columbus. Rotating cocktail menu, to match the season. It is hidden too, I feel like if it wasn't, I would never find a seat in the place. They have activities throughout the week and do get busy. The bartenders are always friendly- but let me tell you, I like this place so much, they could kick me in the shin as long as they sent me away with a delicious cocktail to go hang out on their comfy chairs. read more

I absolutely love the view of the sunset here it's so unreal! They have a great beer selection and plenty of space outback for the kids to run around and to relax. Airplanes do fly directly over the brewery pretty often which is a plus for the kids. The bartenders were nice and someone was played an amazing 90s r&b Playlist that had us singing on the stage lol. The only downside to this place is MOSQUITOS. I rarely get ate up in the summer but for some reason they are everywhere every time I visit. read more

One of the best outdoor patios in columbus. The view of the citys skyline is fantastic. Numerous seating and with shade is a plus. Its nice for a place to have a large selection of non-IPA beer. Only drawback for me is it takes awhile to deive there, but worth it. read more

Met my brother here for a beer after work. A great little brewery with a large outdoor area behind it with plenty of seating and a stage area for bands. They are set up for Oktoberfest right now. I had the Hilda Hefeweizen, followed by the James Helles Lager. The Hilda was outstanding, light but full of flavor, maybe one of my favorite Hefeweizen's now. The James was good, but I'm not a huge Helles fan to give it a fair rating. There were two food trucks while we were there Big Bite which is a burger truck, the burgers I saw people eating looked great. They also had the Schmidt's Sausage truck, which you can never go wrong with visiting. I picked up a mixed six pack on the way out and can't wait to try their other beers.The brewery employees were all great, professional and friendly. read more

Turn into the office park. Turn right at the construction dead end. You will be thinking..."is there really going to be beer here?" Next to the golf club, you find the most unlikely place for a brewery. When you see the view of Columbus you understand the appeal. It is up on a hill near the airport and has an amazing view of the city. I would love to see it at night. Great outdoor patio space. Only negatives are very limited shade, and needed some music to liven up the atmosphere. Lots of families with kids and the patio is dog friendly. They also have a rack full of board games you can play and people were enjoying those. I am not a beer drinker, but enjoyed the margarita. Very limited cocktail options if you don't drink beer. They had a Mexican food truck onsite. Bring your golf clubs and make a Sunday Funday out of it. read more

Edison is the perfect place for a night out with friends and family. The selection isn't extensive but it's just right. They have half pints, pints, etc. and the staff are super friendly! If you want to try something, they give you a little beaker and it's just the greatest thing ever! Not specific to Edison, but the G.O.A.T. red ale and Grizzly Pear are delicious. I went out with some girlfriends and we sat and played a game while having some drinks. Then a few nights later, my husband hung out with some guy friends on the patio and my son and I played corn hole while watching the sunset. The place has an open concept and the outdoor area is perfect for a family with kids who want to run around. They have a fire pit and chairs and tables where you can bring in your own food and have a great night. Definitely recommend! read more

There are so many different craft breweries in Central Ohio these days, but Edison Brewing manages to really stand out amongst the crowd. Many local craft breweries make mostly IPAs... so you might get a flight of beers and still end up with all IPAs. Regular IPA, West Coast IPA, New England IPA, Double/Triple/Quadruple IPA, Milkshake IPA... in the end they're all beers that are often too bitter for a casual beer drinker. I like IPAs, but I've heard complaints about the overproliferation of IPAs from others. So looking at the beer list at Edison Brewing is refreshing, with a wide variety of beer types represented. There's a helles lager, a kellerbier, a biere de garde, a winter weizen... mostly European styles. You might need to Google a few of those styles. (I definitely did not know what a biere de garde was!). They also have "guest taps" of beers from elsewhere in the US and even some from Germany and Spain. They also have a respectable list of bourbons and other whiskies as well as a few wines by the glass. I should also point out what a nice building they have. It's a new modern building with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. They have a solid view of the Columbus airport and downtown Columbus since the brewery is located on top of a small hill. My visit was on a dreary February day, but I could definitely see the potential for an amazing view on a clear day. The brewery is also kids friendly. They have a cabinet full of toys to keep your kids busy while you have a glass or two. I saw some Legos, Magne-tiles, and puzzles. The only wish I have for them is that they start offering flights. I like to try different types of beers when I visit a new brewery but currently they only offer half or full glasses. Since I only got to try 2 beers last time, I guess I'll have to come back again to try more! read more

This is currently my favorite brewery. I have been there 3 times in the past 8 days. No I don't have a drinking problem, I just wanted to try every beer they had. I really like the style of the Edison brews. Not the endless IPAs like you find at some stinko breweries. They also have a great import draft selection. German beers galore. I met the owners brother last time I was there, we were rooting on the Ohio Pro football team tempting their fates against Pat MaHome the Chefs for the AFC championship. I knew there was something special about the guy when I saw he was drinking out of a mug twice as large as anyone else. My one criticism is that they don't have flights. That would have made it much easier to try all the beers, but the half pours really let you appreciate each beer individually. I'll be ready for a victory lap soon. Cheers. read more

If you haven't tried Edison brewing, it is time! This is one of the largest, most well planned out Brewery destinations in Columbus! The patio is amazing it has so many different areas to hang out including a fire pit and lounge couches. I personally like the Adirondack chairs staring off at the Columbus skyline. Try some of their amazing beer or go for a cocktail. My daughter wanted to have bourbon after dinner. We were so surprised how many very good Bourbons they have available. There was Blantons, several Weller labels, willet, Angels envy rye and so much more! There is something for everyone here! Bring your friends! read more

I've never heard of this place before, but I gotta say, it is worth a visit for sure! Brand new building and plenty of seating especially outside during the warmer months and the view of Columbus is spectacular. I went with my girlfriend to meet up with some of my friends and everyone seemed to really like the drink selection they had to offer. As for food, they can heat up some simple bar snacks, but outback they do have different food trucks that come and go. They also just added a stage outback as well, but we ended up leaving before the band started playing. This would be a great place to listen to live music and watch the sunset. If I'm in the area again, I would definitely have to stop by for a bit. read more

Nice addition to the breweries in Central Ohio. Great selection of beers on tap. Tried some of the house beers and one of the international brews on tap. All were good. I've never been here before and drive into the Golf Depot parking lot next door. They do have plenty of parking here. I thought the building was another business before but was built as a brewery. Props to these guys for opening during a pandemic. The interior is charming with a nice patio that appears to have a nice view of downtown Columbus. They don't serve food but have food trucks come by. Service was good and friendly. I look forward to coming back to try a few house beers. read more

I was here on Friday, may 3rd 2024 and i would say I had an​ overall bad time due to poor management and waitstaff. There is an especially rude waitress we had the delight of dealing with. Dark hair, older women who acted passive aggressive and RUDE the entire time interacting with her. Not to mention it was extremely UNDERSTAFFED for as busy as it was. It appears uless I was some rich, drinker, drowning myself in craft beers, and stroking his ego then maybe he wouldn't take fake facebook pictures to make him look like "a good guy". Located in an area I never knew existed before, Edison brewing sits on the highest point of Franklin County giving it the perfect view of downtown FROM GAHANNA. Wild. Ample parking, tons of indoor and outdoor seating. Hand sanitizer provided and staff wear masks. The brewery focuses on more original german based brews -- hefeweizen, dunkle, kolsch, pilsners, and lagers. I tried their hefe .. it was okay. I'm curious to see how their brewing develops as time goes by. They also offer brews and ciders from other businesses. The views and the square footage set this location apart from the rest. They don't serve food at the brewery, but have a food truck outside that I would presume changes depending on the day. Staff was super friendly! There was also live music which was fun to listen to. Beers weren't too expensive and the atmosphere was really cool. I would recommend coming here and definitely checking out the outside part. Lively brewery with excellent beer and cocktails! We came on a Friday night after errands at easton. Gahanna can feel a bit far from downtown Columbus but we are so glad we made the stop. We will certainly come back in the summer with our pup and to enjoy the outdoor space. We got there a little before 9 and were starving. Pitabilities food truck was there so we got to be some of the last orders of the night. My second time having their gyros - so good. Great live music as soon as we walked in... we got our food and beers and stayed longer than expected with how awesome the music was and the very friendly staff! Loved the Willy goat bock (took home a six pack), and also tried the Hilda weizen. I tried a samba Marie cocktail and liked this too... it's Leblon cachaca, jalapeño hibiscus infused simple syrup, and muddled lime. Not too sweet. You can try all the drafts which is great. Stopped in for a brew with a friend, First time here and I was impressed. Had a good vibe going as soon as I walked in. Sat at the bar and ordered. I had intended to only have one, but that turned into 4. These were half pours, so it wasn't as much as you may think. They do not offer flights, but the half pours make up for it. They have a good selection of beer including authentic German Beers. I did not have a beer here that I did not like. The bartender was very friendly and made great conversation. ordered a bar snack which was soft baked pretzels with beer cheese and mustard. There was a food truck outside, but I did not partake. We checked out Edison brewing on a Sunday afternoon. The location was kind of random at a dead end in a industrial park area - no foot traffic here! Although it is next to a driving range and I think close to or on a bike trail. There were plenty of seats both outside and inside and a food truck available too. They have both house brews and a variety from other breweries as well. We tried both. I believe they also have a full bar as well and some specialty cocktails for non-beer lovers. We'll return for the casual atmosphere for some drinks again! read more
