I was looking for a chocolate shop that had ganaches that I could take back as a gift. Temper is a counter in the Central Market basically right when you step in. I don't know why I missed it when I first came in but it's hard to miss with their display cases that had exactly what I was looking for. Their varieties not only have interesting flavor combinations but just as interesting/cheeky names to match. I was going to use the build your own box of a dozen but I saw that there was a Colorado themed box-none of which are available for individual purchase which I found odd. I narrowed my initial choice down to six so I could get the pre-mixed Colorado collection. The other six were harder to choose, I lost steam after easily choosing four. I asked for some recommendations but the person behind the counter either was reluctant to give his personal favorites or make any recs. They were wrapped up but my box of pick 'ems weren't written down. I took some photos but one of them was unaccounted for. While I locked the chocolates I wish the service was a little friendlier.

If you're ever in Denver and have some time to explore, and you're a chocolate lover, or casual fan, or never had chocolate but remember the one time you saw someone eating chocolate and thought to yourself, I would like to try chocolate some day, then head over to The Denver Central Market. Find a place to park on any of the area streets (lots of free parking) and find the Market entrance because you won't find a storefront for Temper Chocolates, you'll have to go inside. Once inside the open air market, there will be people everywhere. Some seated, eating and some shopping at the various vendors. Spot the chocolate shop customers gazing at the eye popping creations. Okay, so you're here, they have chocolates, you want chocolates, no, you need to try these chocolates and that's it. You're still reading this? The discussion is over.

Temper chocolates make for a delicious treat to yourself and a beautiful and delicious gift for others. Each chocolate is so pretty, and tastes equally as good as it looks. They have a ton of gluten-free options which are all yummy (I have tried many), and they made the perfect gift for our cousin when visiting her house for dinner, we never want to show up empty handed!

This is the spot for luxury chocolates. Their bonbons are so delicious and come in so many fun flavors that change with the season. Perfect for gifting at any holiday. They also have many other chocolate treats that are perfect for snacking or indulging. A must-try!

So many to choose from. Be sure to ask for recommendations. The white chocolate we got was the better of the two. The dark chocolate was too strong lol

I love early birthday surprises! My friend brought me a treat today for and early gift and made my day! All 6 of these chocolate ganache represent Colorado in some way. I love the details on these chocolates. Now that I got these I'm so excited to go to downtown to the store itself so I can all of them. The Colorado Rockies had the purple and tasted like a Carmel ganache with Valrhona sweet milk. Freaking amazing and words can't describe the sweet sensation! I'm definitely eating and enjoying my chocolates and can't wait to visit the store.

Glorious chocolate options, from bars with lots of additions (nuts, durian, bourbon...) to chocolate covered things like pretzels and marshmallows to over a dozen creative flavors of bon bons. I opted for a box of four that I curated. My favorites were the Cherry Bomb and Yuzu Talking to Me. One thing to note, the store itself is in the Denver Market. You will it see a sign from the outside, and if you go inside from Larimer Street you will run straight into it.

Awesome chocolate shop in the Denver Central Market. Along with the store made bon bons and other goodies, they have other chocolate brands that are high quality and they have a nice selection. I got a box of 6 different bonbons and they were so delicious! Very nicely made and very beautiful designs. I especially loved the flaming lips, a spicy pineapple flavored one! Will be back to try other flavors and to look at their beautiful chocolates!

Temper is located at the Denver Central Market and they're delicious! Temper Chocolates is a chocolate lovers DREAM. Their chocolates are incredibly tasty and the variety of options will satisfy any true chocolate lovers palate. Whether you want a chocolate covered marshmallow, mini bars, pretzels or speciality pieces of chocolate - they have it all. They also have a variety of chocolate types (dark, white, regular, etc.). If you're in Denver you have to check them out and let me know what you think! xoxo, @rondaexplores

Adorable and nice chocolate place in The Denver Central Market! They have varieties of chocolates, chocolate bars, and chocolate covered everything! Was delighted to see that they have chocolate covered blueberries which is hard to find elsewhere, tried and quite enjoyed it! Very refreshing blueberries inside covered in decant milk chocolate! Match made in chocolate heaven!

I've never been a fan of truffles but this place has amazing high quality chocolates that are as beautiful as they are delicious. The fillings are not too sweet, but just right. Once in awhile this is a really nice treat. They offer boxes for 4 chocolates as well. Their flavors also rotate seasonally so there's always something new. The pictures I took were right after New Years. And yes, if they have a banana flavor it's REAL BANANA, not fake ass flavoring so I appreciated that a lot. Their chocolates make wonderful gifts too!

Yummy and beautiful!

I was greeted by one of the owners, Gonzo Jimenez (he was on Netflix's Bake Squad reality show) when I approached the counter. I ended up purchasing the following: White Chocolate Strawberry Swirl, $8.50 prior to tax and fees- Of the two bars that I purchased, this one was my favorite. I love white chocolate, especially when combined with fruit or peppermint or dark chocolate. This was a nice creamy bar that really complemented the strawberry flavors. I would purchase this bar again. The only down side is that this bar is thin and I think this bar is pricey for what it is. Pistachio Milk Chocolate Bar, $9.85 prior to tax and fees- According to Gonzo Jimenez, this bar is their take on the trendy Dubai chocolate. I was definitely disappointed with this bar. There really wasn't that much pistachio and a higher ratio of chocolate. This bar was just average for me and wouldn't purchase it again. ------------------------------------ (Total= $20.10 after tax and fees) There are numerous of chocolate desserts, chocolates, bars, etc that one can choose from at this little boutique. But they are a bit pricey, but that's because these are artisan chocolates and some are very pretty. Gonzo Jimenez did tell me that you can also purchase some of their items online, including the bars I purchased (shipping is extra but if you feeling extra spendy, if your order $150 then you can get free shipping).

When I found Bibamba while I was at Edgewater Food Hall to get me a plate of Ethiopian food, I stumbled up it by accident. The kind lady who was manning the register inside was above and beyond while I was sampling different types of chocolate barks along the window shelves. She explained to me that the store opened about three years ago. Really? I am pretty sure I had come here within that time frame at least once. I guess I had missed this place out of ignorance. Well, I, at least, discovered it. This is a Colorado store which imports cacao beans from Cameroon as the owner runs/owns a farm in the African country. Per the information board on the wall, the farm sustainably sources everything. I certainly appreciate businesses that focus on social responsibility. The chocolate bark samples I tried were all exquisite. After tasting, I walked around a bit to take some photos of the interior. Yes, this store is quite different than other typical chocolatiers for sure. You'll have visit it and see for yourself. The glass showcase upfront had truffles, cakes and parfaits all nicely displayed. The decadent looking cake or the parfait were tantalizing. Unfortunately, however, they were a little too big for me. Hence I decided to go with several pieces of the small chocolates as they all were of a good size. I got me two truffles and one chocolate piece. And they were.... -Black Forest Buzz Truffle -Cinnamon Roll Truffle -Dark Chocolate Salted Caramel Including tax and tip, all came to less than $14. Quite decent, I thought. I enjoyed all of them but my absolute shout-out goes to the Black Forest Buzz Truffle. It was so good where I wanted to go back to the shop immediately to get me another one. Yes, I agree. As the store name says it all, this is an artisan chocolate shop. The skills and techniques they use to create those outstanding chocolate pieces are high-quality, one-of-a-kind goods that are distinguished from others. You won't taste something like this in those mass-produced ones sold at the store we go to daily. Bibamba simply became my absolute favorite chocolatier that day. The only complaint? It's not very close from my southeast Denver house!!!

Took a chocolate truffle making class and learned all about chocolate production and chocolate making. The owners are passionate about their chocolate, and it shows. First, we started with a presentation with photos of their farm in Cameroon and how they harvest, ferment, and dry their cacao beans, followed by roasting, winnowing (removing shells), and grinding into "cocoa liquor". Then bagging in 150-pound bags and shipping directly to their warehouse in Colorado. From here, their employees mix with sugar/milk and make the most organically rich and pure chocolate. It takes about a week in the melanger (mixer) for the cacao and sugar to blend into smooth, rich and creamy deliciousness. In the hands-on portion of the class, we took some of their 50% cacao and made dark chocolate truffles, rolled in a large variety of toppings--dried strawberries, pink sugar, pistachios, cookie crumble, peppermint. Of course, we all went home with lots of tasty samples to share of (eat alone.). Very interesting, tasty and fun. Their store is worth visiting as it is absolutely beautiful with numerous products on display. If you like chocolate or have a chocolate lover in your close circle --then you need to stop at Bibamba and get some chocolate love. Fun fact: Bibamba also provides their special chocolate confections to the very best restaurants in town. Finally, this class was brought to us by Slow Food Denver, a non-profit, committed to the enjoyment of local food, and who seeks to create a more just and sustainable food system. There are a bunch of different places to check out inside, so everyone can grab exactly what they want and still sit together. It was super laid-back and chill, making it the perfect place to get out of the house for a calm morning. As it gets later into the day and through the weekends, I know it gets very busy, but there is plenty of random seating throughout the hall and even some outdoor spots if you prefer. Parking: Parking is going to be street parking. Make sure you read the signs, but it is usually free. Even when the market is busy, I usually don't have to walk more than a block to get inside. So it is a very convenient location for the RiNo area. Service: The customer service throughout the market is great. At Call Your Mother, the cashier was very sweet, and they even text you when your food is ready. Over at Izzio Bakery, everyone is super kind and helpful while you're looking at their amazing pastry display. Even with a line, you're usually only waiting about 10 to 12 minutes for your items. Food: The food variety here is incredible. I tried the Sun City breakfast bagel sandwich from Call Your Mother and the hot honey was the perfect balance of sweet and spice on a toasted bagel. For a sweet treat, I went to Izzio Bakery for the Dulce de Leche Queen. The pastry case there looks like something out of a movie. The pastry itself was perfectly crisp on the outside with a delicious yellow vanilla cream and cinnamon on the inside. Overall Experience: Overall, I really enjoy coming here and trying new places. I'll definitely be back to explore more.
